Albus had received word that the boy was back in the country. He had never thought they would be so foolish to bring him back. Certainly the mutt was not enough reason to come back. But Sirius had recently returned to the hospital due to complications it seemed. And word had arrived his sons were in the country to see him. He knew the risk of going in himself but he didn't have much choice at this moment. This was his last shot to get the brat once and for all. He was not about to be brought down by that child and his so called family, he had worked too long.

He learned the boy would be at a home along the coast in Wales. He never thought them so foolish to take him to one of the Black homes. But then again this was one that even members of the family didn't know well. It had belonged to another branch of the family. Sirius was a fool to think his brother had not added other safe keepers to the house. Albus had paid well for that information.

Lucius was out in the grounds of the estate. "I don't like this at all."

Severus looked at his brother. "It's only for a few days and then the boys will go back."

Harry appeared from the house. "Can we go and see him now?"

Lucius turned to look at his son. "I wish you would just wait until he is home in a few days."

Harry seemed as stubborn as ever. "I didn't come all the way home not to see him."

Severus saw looks from both of them. "Moody will ensure he is safe."

Albus shook his head with a smirk. He had known he would never get the boy at the hospital and had his spies looking in on Moody. Both Moody and Tonks were under watch. He needed to get in and out before anyone found him. The hospital had too many people and too many possible witnesses. He couldn't leave anyone alive who might know he had come. He would see to Rabastan once this was done. Rabastan was the only one who knew he was coming here tonight. The man would not sell him out as he would know he would die if he ever thought to betray Albus. But Albus had not got this far by leaving loose ends behind him. He would not be minister if he didn't see to this one as well.

He watched Severus leave and he watched as Harry stood with his father. He knew if he was going to act he needed to act now. He knew the two were alone at the manor. Lucius would of course try and protect his son but he would need to die as well.

Lucius noticed something was wrong and turned. "Harry you need to go into the house."

Harry sent a confused look at him. "What is wrong?"

Lucius turned and Albus could see his eyes looking his way. "You need to get out of here now."

Harry was scared and he could be heard trying to call Kreacher. "Where is he? Why is he not coming?"

Before Lucius could respond Albus made himself known. "Your elf is not coming."

Lucius put his son behind him. "How did you get on this property?"

Albus laughed. "I walked right through the gate."

Harry looked to his dad. "I thought there was a Fidelius….."

Lucius levelled his wand on Albus. "There was."

Albus through a cruciatus at the fool. "Didn't think you could trust that fool did you?"

Lucius deflected the spell. He looked to his son. "Go, there is a portkey in the house."

Albus sent another spell at Lucius. "You know you could never best me one on one."

Lucius threw his own spell after deflecting one. "You are a dead man. We have the proof now."

Albus managed to hit the man with a severing charm. "The so called truth dies with you and that useless welp."

The man was a fool. Lucius may have been inner circle spy but he had never come close to being one of the top duellers on either side. Lucius was more power for his cunning and knowledge. Oh he could take down many people but he stood no chance against Albus. If the man had been thinking he would have left. Severus for all his half blood status had been taking down his brother since they were in school duelling club. Not that either would be a threat to Albus in reality. There was only one person who stood a remote chance against him.

He watched as Lucius hit his knees when he hit him with another severing charm. "No brother to save your ass."

Lucius winced but he kept his wand levelled. "You will not touch my son."

Albus was having fun playing with the man. "Surrender, and I will make your ends painless."

Lucius looked at his son. "Get in the house."

Harry had been watching pale. "I am not leaving you."

Albus smirked and sent a body bind at the boy. "No, you are not."

Lucius managed to block the spell but he was distracted and Albus floored him with a cruciatus. "Give up now."

Albus turned his attention to the boy as he knew his time was ending. Help would soon arrive and he could not be caught here or everything he had planned would end. He made sure to not use his own wand, not the traceable wand, and he had a cover for where he was. No one would ever prove he was here. And how would he know where the boy was for that matter. His time had come.

He aimed his wand at Harry and sent a severing charm at him. The boy was not worth using the killing curse on. He had never resorted to using the curse in his entire life and he would not now. The cruciatus was another matter.

But before the spell hit Harry he was shocked when a man jumped out in front of him. "No."

Albus was shocked for a moment. "What…?"

Before he could react he was hit with a binding spell from behind. Albus was dealing with the confusion of who had hit him with a binding spell, and the man in front of him. Lucius was still half conscious on the ground and he had no wand in his hand. And there were very few people who could hit him with a binding spell strong enough he couldn't break. And the wards Albus has put up around the natural ones, had not fallen either. He was struggling to break the binds when he felt the horrible click of metal around his neck.

His attacker came around to stand in front of him. "Just so you don't think of leaving."

Albus snarled. "Alastor, how did you get here?"

Alastor ignored him and turned to the two behind him. "Rodolphus, how is he?"

Albus was confused as he looked at Harry on the ground. He had been shocked and even more confused at the person who jumped in front of him. Rabastan Lestrange had never done anything for anyone but himself. He had been Albus' pawn for so many years. He had no idea what the man was doing here and why he would save Harry. He knew how the man had got here but not why. But the words sunk into his head. The only person Rabastan had ever shown concern for was his brother but that was long over. And Rodolphus was not there.

Harry though was transforming back, having drank a potion. And revealed himself to be Rodolphus Lestrange. The realization he had been set up was sinking in and he had no idea how they had managed to do this. He had taken every precaution.

Rodolphus ignored Moody and was focussed on his brother. "Why did you do that?"

Rabastan opened his eyes. "One of us has to redeem this family. Have some kids."

Rodolphus shook his head. "We will get help."

His brother cut him off. "Burry me next to her."

Rodolphus watched his brother slipping away. "You did her proud."

He watched his brother die in his arms and swore he would have his brother buried next to their mother. He knew as a criminal his brother should be in an unmarked grave, but he swore he would not allow that to happen. His brother had died to protect them in the end. He would not allow his brother to be forgotten in some plot of grass. He owed it to his brother and to his parents to see to that.

Moody motioned as the aurors came pouring in. "We will take his body."

Lucius was recovering and Severus who appeared helped him up. "My son is finally safe."

Albus was spitting mad. "He will never be. You know I will get away."

They ignored the man who knew he had nothing left to hide. He was taken to the ministry where he was charged with a number of crimes including the murder of Rabastan. He was questioned enough with vertiserum to ensure the charges would be pressed and held. Lucius promised Rodolphus that Rabastan would be cleared and could be buried. He had acted heroic in the end and they would ensure that. Lucius went home to his manor where not only his sons but his husband were. Sirius had been returned to the manor, the hospital was only a cover.

Lucius held his son who was so shaken and pale when told how close it all came. "You are safe finally. I promise you're safe."

It was a rough few days as they waited for the trial of Albus. Harry and Draco were home for good and happy to be with their family again. Viktor and his parents had come as well, and Bella was back from the continent as well. Lucius had been true to his word and he had seen to Rabastan. Rabastan had been given a pardon and he was buried next to his parents in the family plot. He had done a lot but he had saved many lives in the end and not just his brother. Bella had known how hard his loss was on her husband even with all that had happened.

The morning of the trial arrived and Harry was taken to court to watch. He had been the biggest victim of the man and he had every right to see him punished finally. He clung to Lucius and Remus through it, Sirius in too bad shape to attend.

Albus was given a chance to say something before sentence was announced. "I am the leader of the light. I have saved all of you."

Amelia turned to him. "Your own testimony shows how many dozens of people you have killed yourself, and others you ordered."

Albus shrugged. "A few criminals like Rabastan. A shame the others, but for the better good."

Another judge asked. "And the train full of students you tried to blow up? How was that for the better good?"

Albus had no qualms. "I have worked too long and too hard to get here, to let a little boy bring me down."

Amelia turned to the other judges. "I think it is time for us to vote."

Remus squeezed Harry's hand as his godson was shaking. "Its done."

Amelia announced. "All votes find you guilty. Albus Dumbledore you are sentenced to receive the kiss immediately."

Albus was shaking in rage. "You can not do this to me. No."

The man was dragged from the room. He could have company right before he was kissed but not even his brother went into the room. His brother had come for the trial but that was as much support as he would show. In the end he had actually helped to set up his own brother. He had known Albus had sent him to prison on false goat charges. And he never forgave the man for the death of their sister. Lucius had made sure that any family money went to Abeforth, and was not instead confiscated by the ministry.

Harry was led out of the room and back to the manor where he sunk into the arms of his dads. He had never been so relieved in all of his life for something to be over. His dad was alive and they were all safe. They had a dinner a week later with all their allies including the Weasleys.

Viktor who had been home for a bit kissed Harry. "I am going to miss you now that you are home."

Harry returned the kiss. "I will too. But I am happy this is over."

Bella cleared her throat. "Should I send in the chaperone?"

Harry turned to his Aunt. "How I will miss him."

Remus laughed as he came into the dining room. "Not too soon. School is going to be closed until next term."

Bella added. "And we are going to be staying here to help tutor you."

Harry faked a groan. "Not too late to transfer?"

Rodolphus had come into the room. "My reach is long."

Bella motioned the boys to the table. "He may be busy soon."

Harry shared a look with his boyfriend and brother who had both heard her. Bella would not tell them what she had meant and told them to sit. But they noticed the look that had been shot between her and her husband. Rodolphus had been gone the last few days seeing to his brother's funeral. And he and Bella had gone and got the boys' and their own things from the continent as well. They had just returned.

Lucius raised a glass over dinner. "That we are all finally safe and the kids can soon focus on school again."

Molly added. "That our brothers and other victims finally can rest in peace."

Sirius was thinking of his own brother. "At long last."

Andromeda looked to her daughter. "That we can look to brighter times and maybe some kids down the road."

Tonks blushed. "May be waiting a while."

Bella came to her niece's rescue. "Maybe not."

Andromeda turned to her sister. "Bella?"

Rodolphus smiled. "It seems we were not too old after all."

Harry was amazed. "You are pregnant?"

Bella laughed. "Well I am, but yes. We just found out."

Andromeda pulled her sister into a hug and everyone was so happy for the couple. They had put off having kids for years because of the war. Bella had seen the danger the kids of her sisters were in. And her role would have been even more dangerous. They had said they would try after Voldemort was brought down but at their age they thought that it was impossible. Or at the very least unlikely. They had so much hex damage as well as age against them. But they had found out the day before that she was two weeks pregnant. If a son they planned to name him Rabastan.

Harry raised a glass. "To news of our new cousin on the way. And hopes it will keep my Uncle busy."
