After Thursday's episode I wanted to do an one shot on how Teddy and Owen would resolve everything so here it is...

Owen and just dropped off some paperwork at the main nurses on the ER floor. A group of nurses were there gossiping, which was nothing unusual, as gossip flew around this hospital like a boomerang. Although today his smiled disappeared when he heard what they were gossiping about.

'I heard from one of the cardio nurses that the blonde new joint head of cardio slept with Dr Koracick!' A voice whispered oblivious that he was there. 'Even though she's engaged!'

Owen stood there overwhelmed and furious - he couldn't believe Teddy would do this to him. Was it even true? He knew that nurses often made up or over exaggerated things but hen he thought back to this morning and how weird she'd acted...

Teddy had just gone to drop Leo and Alison at daycare when she bumped into him, as his shift started 2 hours before her's today.

'Teddy!' Owen called trying to get her intention. 'Sure you're okay? We haven't talked since 2 nights ago and you seem to be avoiding me at the moment. I'm going to talk to Amelia today and ask her for more information so everything is going to be okay.' He explained to Teddy while pulling her over to the side and giving her a sympathetic look.

'I think we need to talk tonight, it's serious and I'm sorry Owen.' Teddy said coldly and distantly while looking down at her feet.

'Okay, are you sure you're okay?'

Teddy gave a small unreassuring smile and walked off while Owen went to the nurses station to fill out some paperwork preparing for his next surgery. He knew something wasn't right.

He knew he had to find Teddy, he needed to know the whole truth so he texted her to meet him as soon as possible.

On the same floor as Owen, Teddy was just about to leave the ER after a cardio consultant when her phone vibrated and she immediately checked it and when she did her heart sank. He knew.

Teddy we need to talk ASAP- I don't think this can wait until tonight.

Teddy immediately thought about that night a few days ago...

'I love you. That's my answer today, that's my answer tomorrow and that's my answer always.'

Those words couldn't get out of Teddy's head, how could she betray Owen like that? She had acted impulsive and rational and now she felt like her actions were growing because she hadn't been honest with Owen. She didn't know how she was ever going to drop the bomb but now it was going to ten times worse now someone else told him.

Then she saw him...

'Yeh I'm fine!' Teddy shouted while running away to the nearest on call room.

'Teddy!' He yelled after her but Teddy was already gone.

She dashed into the on call room and slammed the door behind her. Her heart pounding her in the chest, she quickly checked the bare dark room and stood still. No one was in. Her breathing started rapidly increasing while her head was spinning out of control, she felt trapped with PTSD, fear and paranoia and had no idea how to make it stop. Tears started to role down her face and while clutching onto her scrub top she collapsed to the floor. She started screaming and crying, not knowing how to make it stop. She hadn't felt like this since Henry had died, but she had this overwhelming fear of being abandoned. She had no family here, few friends in the hospital, Owen was her everything yet she felt so petrified that he would pick someone over her that she went to Tom when things got difficult. How could she be so selfish and stupid? Owen surely wouldn't want her after this? How could she have betrayed her daughter so much? These thoughts went racing through her mind while she just cried louder, gasping for breath. Then the door opened.

'It's okay.' A calming voice whispered while turning around to lock the door. 'It's okay Teddy, I'm here.'

Teddy looked into Owen's reassuring eyes and started to cry harder.

'I'm so sorry.' She cried while he sat down on the floor next to her and held her shaking hands still.

'Deep breaths Major.' He instructed while trying to do some breathing technique to encourage Teddy. 'It's alright I'm here.'

Teddy started to breath slower and more controlled while looking straight into Owen's face.

'I'm sorry Owen.' She whispered while trying to calm down. 'I am so sorry.'

'I know.' He responded looking straight into her frightened face. Owen sat down next to Teddy and kissed her head. He couldn't bear to see Teddy this upset. The fact that Teddy was in a horrific amount of pain hurt him as well. 'I love you and I always will.'

'I'm sorr...'

'We're going to sit on this floor and talk because I don't want to loose you Teddy and I will fight for you but I need to understand what happened.' Owen interrupted while looking into his tear-stained fiancé eyes.

Teddy took a big breath and looked back at him, holding his big warm hands. She loved Owen more than her heart could give and she never wanted to hurt him.

I was scared I was going to loose you.' She cried. 'Ever since Maggie confirmed that Amelia's baby might be yours, I was petrified that you would leave me to her.'

'You know I wouldn't do that...'

'We'd gone from best friends about to have a baby to a family of 4 overnight, just like you and Amelia went from ex's to a family of 4 overnight. I knew that you wouldn't leave me but the idea kept playing in my head and I came more and more paranoid.' She continued taking a deep breath. 'Everyone who I have ever loved I have lost, I have no family except you, Alison and Leo and I know that you and Leo can just disappear like that. I know you wouldn't but I know you could.'

'Leo is just as much yours as he is mine now - you know?' Owen whispered while stroking Teddy's arm.

'He's legally only yours though and he's also kind of Amelia's as well and if Amelia's baby is yours then...'

'I talked to Amelia, she took the paternity test - it's Link's.'

Teddy breathed a sigh of relief. Her face relaxed like someone had just lifted a gigantic burden off her shoulders but she knew what she was about to say was going to be hard.

'I'm sorry, I'm just going to tell you upfront what I did because you deserve the truth and because you did nothing to deserve this. I slept with Tom, it was just after Maggie confirmed my suspicions that Amelia's baby be yours. I felt like I was trapped and I couldn't escape all these thoughts that I'd be on my own again and Tom was there, he made me forgot about the fear of loosing you.' She cried trying to wipe the tears while Owen started to look serious and upset. 'I know the irony but I've always had this fear of abandonment like I didn't want to tell you how I felt about you all these years and in Iraq because I didn't want to loose you if you didn't feel the same way. Because I had no one, no mum, no dad, no Alison. I've had lots of friends but you have always been there for me. Alright I found love with Henry, but he was never you and god I miss him but when I was with him I still had you as my best friend. You make laugh, you have always been there for me. I have loved you for every second of every hour of every day ever since we met.'

Owen sat there quietly still looking at Teddy trying to understood her feelings.

'But the second time I went to Tom, which was just before our lost conversation, was to apologise...'

'You shouldn't have to apologise!' Owen butted in quite angrily. 'You were upset and you are engaged.'

'And I tried to explain that I felt nothing for him and what I did was because I was overwhelmed with paranoia but them he started to kiss me, I pulled away but he continued and then he locked his office door and I felt trapped but he continued..'

'Teddy I don't won't to hear any more.' Owen said sternly looking while at her with sorry eyes. 'I am gonna kill that bastard because you were vulnerable and he took advantage of you.'

'I'm so sorry Owen...' Teddy cried while holding Owen's hand. 'I don't know what to do though to fix this. We can't just go on like this has never happened though.'

'Teddy you need help.' Owen stated while looking concerned at Teddy and gripping onto her hands. 'And I want you to remember that I love you and you have made me the happiest man but I think we need to put the wedding plans on hold while you get better. But I am going to be with you every step on the way because you are my going to be my wife and I love you so much. I understand why you acted how you did even if I don't completely forgive you yet but I will.'

'Thank you.' She whispered with a tired look on her face. 'I love you.'

'I don't know about you but I wouldn't mind a quick nap?' Owen suggested to the tired Teddy while helping her off the floor and into one of the on call room metal beds. 'I just need to pop out and get something though, I'll be back in a minute.'

Owen quickly went out the room to the nurses station and told the head nurse that him and Teddy were about to go home sick and texted Bailey giving her a vague picture of the situation. Minutes later he was back in the on call room, while locking the door he turned to see a peaceful looking Teddy already fast asleep. Quietly, he climbed into the small on call bed and snuggled up to Teddy. She looked so calm and peaceful now and Owen wanted to let her sleep for a little while so she would be calmer when she went home. But Owen lay awake feeling awful about how all of this triggered Teddy's PTSD and how it had lead to their relationship being strained. However he knew he was going to do everything he could to help Teddy as he knew he loved her.

Just over a hour later, Teddy started to wake up from her nap to find Owen still by her side.

'Hey.' He whispered. 'I've sorted everything out so we can go home just us two now and my mum can pick up the kids and drop them off later or we can pick up the kids together now and go home?'

'I want to be with the kids.' Teddy whispered back while she get out of bed and Owen followed.

The two went to the attending lounge and picked up all their stuff. It was only 3pm and both of them were meant to have another 4 hours of work but both were looking forward to going home.

Soon they'd reached daycare and Leo's face lit up when he saw Teddy and Owen and he toddled up to Teddy wanting to be picked up.

'Mama!' He called to Teddy's delight while she lifted him up. He'd just started calling her mama, even though out of respect to Amelia, Teddy tried to encourage home to call her Teddy but was secretly happy that Leo thought of her as his mama.

'Hello Leo!' Teddy responded in a high pitch voice but Owen could tell by her face that she wasn't her self. 'Hello Alison!' Teddy smiled at her little girl while Owen picked her up and the family of headed to the elevator to go home.

Teddy and Owen played with Alison and Leo for hours. Leo was obsessed with his new PlayDough set and loved to mix all the colours together in order to make his creations, much to Teddy's amusement and Owen's dismay. Meanwhile Alison loved to show her new skill of rolling and spent most of her time wiggling around the floor on her front while Owen tickled her and teased her with toys and by playing peak-a-boo.

By 6pm the family were sat on the sofa eating pizza, that had just arrived, while watching a cartoon movie. Owen was breaking the pizza into small pieces for Leo to eat while Teddy was feeding Alison baby food. And not long after Alison and Leo had finished, they were fast asleep laid across both Teddy's and Owen's knees.

Teddy felt overwhelmed with love and support, something she didn't think she deserved but never the less she knew she wasn't well and would do anything to get better for her family as she knew that she would always have Owen by her side.

'I love you.' She whispered

'I love you.' He responded kissing Teddy on her head.

The two sat there cuddling with two peaceful babies on their knees, watching the most cheesy cartoon movie that Leo had picked out. Things were going to get better and Teddy knew she would not change a thing about her family.
