Hey everycreature! What's up!?
Here with another reposting and this was one when there was an EQD post confirming RariJack was actually a thing for the EQG staff!
And I thought about how EQG could end and one of the things that crossed my mind is Applejack and Rarity's wedding day with all their friends and family attending. So here it is!
One more thing and also a warning... I don't take too kindly to people cursing and/or hating on anyone who is LGBTQ, even thought I myself am not gay, I have a lot of sympathy and will not tolerate any kind of anti-LGBTQ here!
It was the early evening of a slightly breezy summer day, warm, but also cool as on the Apple Family's farm, a very special event was taking place in the big barn by the family's house, the joining together of two very special friends in matrimony. Two special friends who became... Well more than friends, they were in fact lovers to each other and today was going to be the biggest day and change in their lives.
Applejack and Rarity.
Growing up in high school, the two were of course very close friends, but once they graduated and went to college, their relationship took a much deeper step and when they graduated from there, they were so sure that it was right. Of course they kept their relationship mostly a secret, even from their friends, the two just didn't feel it was yet time to tell, they weren't even sure how their friends would react to the news.
After Applejack popped the question and Rarity said yes, now engaged, they decided it was time to let everyone know. They were of course very nervous, even scared of how everyone would react, but their fears were all gone when everyone showed their support and happiness at the two being together. And well that led to today, the wedding day.
Everyone attending was sitting down on the chairs that were all lined up neatly in the barn, talking along themselves as Applejack was up in the back, with the officiant and all her friends, being the wedding's bridemaids for AJ and Rarity. Rarity, who would come in, was getting the final touches on her wedding dress and most likely mentally preparing herself. Meanwhile AJ was very nervous as she was wearing a country girl kind of dress, repeatedly touching her collar and coughing softly as she was sweating. Even thought she always told herself she was ready, she wasn't, it wasn't easy getting married, especially to your best friend.
"Hey AJ, you alright?" AJ's friend, Sunset Shimmer, who was the closet to AJ, asked.
"Yeah, mostly, I still can't believe this is happening." AJ replied. "After all these years, being with Rarity, I imagined this day, but never could find myself ready."
"Well don't worry, we're all here and supporting you two no matter what." Sunset reassured her friend.
"Thanks, it means a lot." AJ smiled as something caught everyone's attention as they all looked towards the front of the barn, AJ also looked to see her beloved has finally come, ready now.
AJ blushed, her cheeks going a deep red as she saw Rarity, in a dazzling white dress, being led by her sister, Sweetie Belle, along with her two friends, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, as the flower girls. As the band started up the wedding tune, the flower girls began walking up the alley between the two sets of chairs, with Rarity following along, slowly but surely. Eventually Rarity reached the back, coming next to AJ as AJ saw that she was also blushing red, clearly nervous as well about all this.
"I'm sorry I took so long, I hope I didn't overdo it." Rarity apologized.
"You look absolutely perfect, Sugarcube." AJ smiled. "You know I'm surprised you even wanted the wedding here, I expected a church or a mansion."
"Well darling, I can't imagine being married anywhere else with you and all that matters to me is you." Rarity answered.
"May we start now?" The officiant asked the two.
"Oh yes, sorry." AJ apologized as the two friends sighed and then relaxed, holding each other's hands as the officiant started the ceremony.
"Today we gather to join these two in matrimony as wives, may they find happiness and joy throughout the years in love." The officiant started as some of the friends and family in the audience, shed tears watching the beautiful scene.
"Now, onto the vows."
Both AJ and Rarity took a deep breath as they prepared to say the two words from each of them.
"Applejack, do you take Rarity to be your wife, do you promise to love, honor and care for her, both in sickness and in health, for however long you both should live." The officiant spoke to AJ.
"Dang tootin." AJ answered as Rarity let out a soft chuckle.
"And Rarity, do you take Applejack to be your wife, do you promise to love, honor and care for her, both in sickness and in health, for however long you both should live." The officiant turning to Rarity.
"I do." Rarity said in her more elegant voice.
"Than in the power that was invested in me, I now pronounce you both wife and wife, you may now kiss each other." The officiant taking a step back as AJ and Rarity each took a step froward and locked lips with each other, enjoying the intimate moment that sealed their vows as everyone in the audience stood up and clapped their hands.
"I love you, my darling." Rarity spoke softly to AJ as they separated from the loving kiss.
"Me too Sugarcube, forever." AJ replied as both of them closed their eyes while in a loving embrace.
As the two walked down the alleyway between the chairs, the barn was then quickly cleared and tables and dance floor set as the day gave way to the night, which was full of stars and a bright full moon shining above. It was a picture perfect night as the afterparty started, everyone enjoying it as AJ and Rarity, resting up from the ceremony arrived to join in.
Everyone cheered as they entered with blushing faces from all the attention that was being directed to them.
"Even thought I know they're all here for us, I wouldn't mind being alone with you." Rarity told AJ quietly.
"I know, don't worry, we'll be alone soon enough, for now, just pretend we're alone." AJ advised her new wife when their friends all gathered around the two.
"Congratulations you two." Fluttershy first spoke up.
"Yeah, this has been the most awesomest day ever." Rainbow Dash agreed.
"Kinda of hard to believe you two would end up together." Twilight noted.
"Enough talking, let them enjoy themselves, but more importantly the party I organized for them." Pinkie jumping in as AJ and Rarity went on the dancing floor, joining the other couples and/or friends already on there.
The two danced together, either to country or classical music, a mix of the two types of music the married couple liked, as the sound carried out of the barn into the night air outside. Eventually the two ended off on a slow, romantic tune, on the dance floor alone with everyone present watching as all attention was focused on them.
"Everyone's watching." Rarity informed AJ, as she had her head up against AJ's chest.
"Don't worry sugarcube, don't mind them, we're here and all alone, just focus on me." AJ replied as she tucked Rarity's head further into her chest before giving her new wife a kiss on the forehead.
Meanwhile Sunset, watching from a nearby table, smiled as she saw her two friends enjoying their time. Taking out her journal and a pen, she began writing down a letter to someone that was important in her lifeā¦
"Dear Princess Twilight,
Today is the happiest day for two of my friends, Applejack and Rarity, the day they officially sealed their bond in marriage. I have to admit, it was shocking at first when they told everyone, but we were all happy and supportive that they found love for each other. The two make a great couple and I'm sure they'll stay together no matter what, in that I have no doubt.
The two have faced so many obstacles along the path and not just from others, but themselves as well, of course they fought and argued with each other in the past, but they always managed to make up and look past their silly fights. And I'm sure they'll remember that if they ever do have a fight in their new lives. Again, not that I think they ever will, but one can never be too sure of that fact.
If you have told me years ago that I would witness two of my friends getting married, much less two of my friends marrying each other, I would have thought you were crazy, but Applejack and Rarity's relationship just shows that friendship can evolve into something more. I look froward to seeing how the two turn their friendship into a real-life romantic relationship as they spend their years together in happiness and joy.
From your friend, Sunset Shimmer."
As Sunset finished writing to Twilight over in Equestria, she closed her journal and sighed in happiness as she returned to watching Applejack and Rarity, who were both holding onto each other tightly as they danced slowly into the night, not a care that all the guests were watching and enjoying the beautiful scene in front of them. All that mattered in the moment was those two celebrating their new life together, with the start being the happiest day ever.
I hope you enjoyed and with that...
See everycreature later!
