Hugo Marick was born in Cottbus, Germany, in November 1908. His family were all old money Sorbians of an industrial class background.
Hugo was the rebellious youngest child of such a family, and left the clan before meeting Anna Sporades, who didn't like him anyway.
As their life was distancing every day in the late 1950s, he had an affair with her old Austrian friend Corvina Lang and birthed Anton Lang in 1959. Corvina and Anton then lived for decades with his stepfather Theo Puigmont in Barcelona, Spain.
She shot him in 1960, and she murdered him with a rifle in order to end a tragic romance. He then died buried in a premature grave, which possibly explained why Dimitri left behind his native country to live with the Greshams in America.
