Jordan's POV
Daniel was there talking about important stuff or nonessential stuff he wasn't really listening his heart was too heavy today. Today was the day Eva was getting married, and honestly he felt like the world hated him. Daniel was silent for a moment before asking him, "are you ok?"
No he was not. The love of his life was getting married and it was to another man, so no, no he was not ok. "You know because you're girl is getting married and all?" Way to rub salt in the wound. Jordan gave a fake smile as he simply said, "I'm fine" When in truth everything in him was in turmoil.
Eva was getting married, but to Aikka, to that prince to that no good snobby, little- and that was when Jordan noticed he had cracked his cup. Daniel looked at the cup then at Jordan then with questioning eyes, again asked him, "You ok?" No he was not. But he had to think
" You know when I first met her I first thought she was beautiful, she was only 15 but she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, we were hand picked to save the earth and she was nothing more than a stowaway girl to me, but god damn it I thought she was beautiful."
"Then bit by bit I got enchanted by her fire by her recklessness by her charm and then I found myself falling for her." But she wasn't falling for me. Her heart was belonging to that prince." Jordan felt bitter he had said what he had wanted to deny for so long that Eva was falling for Aikka from the start that those two from the start were meant for each other
"Then I became avatar for her gave up everything a future my own happiness just so she could have hers, and here she is having it with prince." Jordan thought for a bit. It was funny fate. What he wanted was glory and to fix his family name as Avatar he now had that but now his heart now changed. What he wanted more than anything was something he couldn't have
Her wedding day was proof of this. Right now she was probably walking down the aisle. Happiness in her eyes as that bastard was looking at her adoration in his. But he couldn't blame them. He loved her too much to blame her. How he could he blame her for not loving him
She didn't love him that much he knew, but he also knew that wasn't her fault. The heart was something you couldn't control. "I guess all of us are chasing after our own happiness, I should have grabbed mine when I could. But let's be honest her heart was never mine, so I could never be happy, but at least she could, even if it's not with me."
And with that Jordan let Eva go
