AN: This is my first bit of writing I've posted here! Originally an audition for an RP group to see how I played him. It's a really small drabble of OR!Tabitha getting ready for what ended up being a fairly eventful day.
"{Tabitabi, you have two reminders for today. Would you like me to read them?}"
"Read my reminders." Setting his phone down next to his tie on the kitchen counter, Tabitha crouched down next to a bag of Gla-Meow Mix, the bag crinkling as he pulled it open. Taking a cupful, he glanced behind him to the bowl he had set down on the granite counter next to him.
"{You have a Pokemon Fan Club meeting today at 1:30 P.M.}"
"Hm." Dry food clinked into the metal bowl as he poured the scoop in, pursing his lips briefly at the reminder from his phone. Pokémon Fan Club. He used to go constantly, it was a lovely chance for him to socialize outside of Devon and it let his twins get some extra playtime at the same time. Well — normally it was. Now that he had taken up more hours at Devon on top of being tied up with a side gig, he found it harder and harder to find the time to make it. Well, that would probably change soon.
Tabitha leaned over and tossed the cat food scoop back into the bag, running pinched fingers over the ziploc seal and pushing the bag back where it belonged beside the counter. A hand grabbed the bowl off the granite, softly shaking it to rattle the food inside, eyes glancing down to the floor a few feet away.
As if on cue, the quiet tapping of paws against tile was heard, a soft smile growing over the man's face as he saw his duo of Skitty dashing around the corner, the smaller of the two sliding a little bit on the smooth flooring. A soft chuckle, amused at their eagerness, he set the bowl back down, bending over and scooping up a Skitten under each of his arms, listening to the twins mewl in unison as they were lifted and set next to the bowl on the island countertop.
Tabitha leaned forwards, resting his elbows on the counter and then his chin on his palms, fingers curled against his cheeks, watching as the two Skittens — Speck and Mitt, his two baby girls — got themselves oriented and waddled up to the bowl, clumsily crunching at their food. "Ahya, look at you two…" A soft sigh, a pleased smile, and Tabitha leaned over to the opposite counter to grab his tie, looping it around his collar as he continued to observe his Pokémon.
"{Tabitabi, you have one more reminder. Would you like me to read it?}"
He shot a glance out his apartment window, down to the stoney streets of Rustboro, and across the way to that familiar office building that he loathed so much. His cheery demeanor almost immediately faded as he pulled his tie taut, straightening it as he stood up to his full height, lips pursing. A deep inhale through his nostrils. "Yes. Read my reminder."
"{Take plans for Maxie from office B502 cabinet between 3-5 PM}"
