I do not own Harry Potter or Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
Hermione falls out of bed with a loud thump. "Oww." She mutters, rubbing her head as she distangles her legs from the bed sheets. Hermione stares at the bed sheets, yellow as opposed to the red sheets of the Gryffindor dorm. These aren't her sheets. Hermione quickly jolts to her feet.
The room she's in is messy, clothes are scattered across the floor, not girl clothes, but boy clothes, and there is a backpack thrown in the corner. Where is she? Was she kidnapped?
Then Hermione spots the mirror. "HIIEEEEE!" That's not her reflection. Hermione tugs at her face then her hair. Her hair might be brown, but bushy and long, not short and fluffy. The bigger issue, however, is that she is a boy. "It's not funny Fred and George." Hermione yells. "It's really not funny!"
"Tsuna?" Hermione yelps as a woman peaks her head in through the bedroom door. "You're awake so early." Hermione slowly nods, staring at the woman. The woman is speaking in Japanese, not English, yet Hermione can still understand her perfectly. She doesn't seem like the type to kidnap people. She seems really nice. "Anyway young man," she holds up a test paper. "You really need to try more in school."
Hermione stares at the test. Fifteen percent. That test says fifteen percent. She didn't even know it was possible to get a grade that low. Fifteen percent, and the woman is saying that test paper belongs to her.
No. Hermione Granger, doesn't get anything less than As and Os. Hermione Granger is the brightest witch of her age. Hermione Granger does not fail tests.
"Tsuna?" The woman frowns "Are you okay?"
Hermione nods. She'll figure out what happened and why she is now a Japanese boy later. Whether there was a potions accident, she made a mistake in charms, or she was reincarnated, it really doesn't matter. Right now, she has more pressing concerns to attend to. Right now she is Tsuna, and if Tsuna scored so slow on one test, his grades… Hermione shudders.
Hermione stalks out of Namimori Middle school. She thought she'd leave behind the rude nicknames after she was welcomed into Hogwarts, but here everyone calls her Dame Tsuna.
In elementary, and during some of her first year at Hogwarts, Hermione was mocked for being a know it all. Here she is mocked for getting low grades and not knowing it all. Children are weird. At least one thing is consistent. Hermione before Hogwarts had no friends, and Tsuna has no friends.
She may be in her fifth year at Hogwarts, and more mature than her younger self, but the name calling still hurts. She'd be tempted to punch someone in the face like she punched Malfoy in the third year, but Hermione would like to think she's a bit more mature than that. Not to mention, it would be a bit difficult to punch the entire class, since everyone seems to call her Dame Tsuna.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi, may I speak with you after class?" Hermione frowns at her math teacher's annoyed tone.
"Ahh, Okay." Her math teacher nods at her response before starting class for the day.
Hermione diligently takes notes. Hogwarts may not have a traditional math class, but Hermione made sure to keep up with her Muggle schooling over the summer holidays. She already knows the stuff they are learning, but taking notes is always a good habit; she can use them to review for any upcoming tests.
As the bell rings, Hermione walks up to the teacher's desk. "Ah what was it Sir?"
"Tsunayoshi, you should know that I don't tolerate cheating in my class." Hermione's cheeks flare red. Cheating? He's accusing her of cheating? "You were failing my class, and now you're getting high A's, and almost perfect scores?"
"I'm not cheating Sir."
"Really, then how do you explain your sharp increase in grades?"
Hermione glares at him. She really can't explain that. Saying she swapped bodies with Tsuana would just make her teacher think she is insane. "I'll prove I'm not cheating. Give me any math problem off the top of your head and I'll solve it for you."
"Fine. The teacher writes a simple algebraic expression on the board. Find the value of X."
"X would be seven." Scowling the teacher writes another problem on the board. "The hypotenuse of the triangle is five."
"Fine. You're dismissed."
Hermione flounces out of the classroom.
"Sawada, can you stay after class." Hermione scowls at her English teacher's request. She just knows that he's going to accuse her of cheating. Tsuna was not particularly good at English, and Hermione is a native speaker. It makes sense that her teachers are accusing her of cheating, but she doesn't like it.
"What is it." Hermione sighs. Yep. Blah. Blah. Blah. She tunes out the teacher as he yells at her for cheating on tests and written assignments. At least her math teacher was nice about accusing her of cheating. "Do you want me to prove that I'm not cheating." Hermione interrupts her English teacher's rant. "You can give me several sentences to translate.
Scowling, her English teacher writes out several sentences on the board in Japanese. "We love having ice cream at the fair. That monkey is my best friend. I like singing off key. My mom does not play video games." Hermione recites. Her Teacher's scowl deepens as Hermione correctly translates the sentences.
"Can I go now."
"I guess." The teacher mutters begrudgingly.
It's been a month since she woke up as Tsuna. She doesn't know why she is now Sawada Tsuna, but she thinks that it is a permanent switch. Hermione has started remembering stuff from Tsuna's life. As such, she presumes she was reincarnated. She never believed in reincarnation, but Hogwarts has made her more open to the fantastical. Not to mention, if it was a potions or charms incident, and she switched bodies with Tsuna, Hogwarts probably would have figured out a solution by now or at least owled her to let her know what was going on.
"Tsuna!" Nana Sawada, her mom now, calls out.
"Hai?"
"I've hired you a home tutor."
"What?!" Hermione yelps. She stumbles down the stairs. "Owww." She's apparently impossibly clumsy now. "A home tutor, really? I already brought my grades up." Hermione scowls from where she lays sprawled out on the floor.
"Ciaossu. I am the home tutor reborn." Hermione stares up at the small baby in a suit. She narrows her eyes. That is not a normal baby, and what's with those sideburns?
