AN: Sorry for the long delay. This is what happens when you have both work and moving to Germany to deal with. In any case, I know that this is a chapter you all have been waiting a long time for, so I hope it was worth it.
"Listen here assholes!" yelled Bakugou as he slammed Deku and Todoroki into the wall.
"Kaachan! What the hell!" gritted Deku back as he and Todoroki broke free from his grasp and glared at him. Bakugou was angry as always, and nobody needed to really do anything to piss him off, but this time he looked like a bit of concern had infiltrated his body.
"TONIGHT! Understand!" commanded Bakugou.
"What are you talking about?" replied Todoroki.
"We're gonna tell them how we feel tonight." clarified Bakugou.
Deku nervously waved his hands around. "Gee, I don't know Kaachan. I mean it isn't that appropriate since we're still classmates for the month, right?"
"Are you fucking kidding me?" shook Bakugou. "Take your shot dumbass!"
"I never took you for one that would help Deku in a situation like this." noted Todoroki.
Bakugou laughed haughtily, his bravado was back. "Please, I'm doing it for my own fucking sanity. I'm done being a giant pussy with Diana, so you two better stop being cowards or I'm gonna blow your fucking heads off because it's pissing me off. I don't give a shit if they break up with you or say no, acting like a smitten creep with no balls is making my skin crawl."
Todoroki sighed. He knew for a fact that him and Amanda were going to confess days earlier had they not been interrupted by either the public or the revelation of who the loose villain was. It just seemed like once they admitted their feelings, it would be another thing to worry about.
"I...still can't…" blubbered Deku. The truth was that he was afraid of Akko already having greater feelings for Andrew, but a part of him still felt that Akko did like him in the way he did for her.
Bakugou stomped his feet. "Listen! It's gonna be a magical night under the stupid hot springs, so if you ruin this for me by being weak, I'll fucking kill you."
"I guess we should get it over with and let it out. Should be healthy." guessed Todoroki.
Deku gulped. "Alright, I guess we'll do it."
Being on the same page was rare for the three heroes, but they did have a common objective that didn't involve them competing. Even if Bakugou's desires for Deku and Todoroki to confess were still selfish, Deku and Todoroki decided embracing the comradery would be worthwhile.
Bakugou himself smirked devilishly and guided his roommates out of their guest room and onto the pick up point where the witches were setting their travel bags on the bus and awaiting their departure.
The heroes looked for Amanda, Akko and Diana. As expected, those three apart and with their own usual friends given that they didn't have to babysit the UA students for now.
For a moment, each of the boys got to lock eyes with their crush for a brief second, the witch shooting them a friendly look back, but nothing more than a quick glance.
It didn't take a genius to know that the three heroes were looking forward to the idea of the witches wearing nothing but a towel inside a bath, even if the UA boys had only recently and slightly explored their erotic feelings for women by now. Not to mention there would obviously be a degree of separation between each bath.
Of course, Amanda, Diana and Akko had their own tingling thoughts about the heroes in the baths too, their sexual feelings far more developed. Still, that didn't stop eye contact from being awkward.
"Alright everyone! Let's get seated!" ordered Ursula, whose appearance forced the boys to get moving rather than dwell on romance.
Everyone piled into the bus, Bakugou shoving his classmates to the back. As much as he wanted to sit next to Diana, now wasn't the best of times to do so.
Soon enough, the bus sped up for the trip to Bath and the witches began chatting amongst themselves while Ursula supervised them. It wasn't odd being the only professor around to look after a class, but she knew for a fact that she was chosen for the assignment since her centuries old colleagues couldn't care less about an onsen trip. Plus, they wouldn't have to deal with the UA boys for a weekend.
Speaking of the heroes, she looked concerned that they weren't really talking with each other or the witches, but figured that was just in their nature as not very social people. That and she obviously knew they were dealing with some stirrings within.
Regardless, it was as if they weren't even in the bus, so she decided to take it upon herself to lighten the mood.
Ursula hopped on over towards the rear end of the bus, taking an empty seat in front of them as the heroes stared at her with interest, especially since they figured who she really was.
"So, I guess this trip will be routine for you?" grinned Ursula.
Deku's mood lightened up. "Oh yeah! We do this all the time in Japan, so it's nice that Luna Nova got to do this while we're here."
Lotte piped up. "So basically, we'll just hang around in the spring right?"
"More than that!" replied Akko. "There's always a spa or recreation room at places like this. It's like a full on resort."
"Sounds kinda boring." muttered Sucy.
"Boring!" spat Akko. "Stuff like this is where you make all your cool memories. And like, there's a ton of magical hot springs out there that I wanna visit."
"Then why didn't we go to those?" asked Sucy.
"God knows what you'd do with supernatural water." quickly muttered Lotte.
Akko stood on her seat and faced the boys, revealing that she was sitting on the row in front of them. "This is gonna be great huh?"
She closed her eyes and smiled wide, her adorable expression setting the boys aback, especially Deku who nervously chuckled.
Bakugou then elbowed him, obviously to nudge Deku to say something back to Akko. While he understood that Deku's demeanor was seen as cute by Akko and some other girls, Bakugou was tired of him playing wimp and ordered him to show some spine with his gesture.
Deku took the cue and spoke up. "It'll be awesome! I...I've never gone on a springs trip with witches before...so it's gonna be extra special this time!"
"Yay!" cheered Akko, flustering Deku's heart, and sat back down on her seat.
Bakugou and Todoroki glanced at each other. Deku's line wasn't the best, but at least it got Akko all cheery. The rest of the bus was mercifully loud too so at least his embarrassment wasn't that notable.
Thinking about their own crushes, Bakugou and Todoroki did some looking around.
Amanda's group too was just in front of them, and she had been looking back and forth while conversing with Jasminka over random topics while messing with a device Constanze was trying to put together. Once again, she and Todoroki knew what the other intended to do tonight, and silently both decided to save the awkwardness for later.
Plus, Todoroki figured Amanda deserved some time with her friends before the inevitable confession got her riled up.
All the while, Diana and her roommates sat in the middle of the bus which didn't give Bakugou a chance to talk to her. He reasoned that Hannah and Barbara were still afraid of him, and even then he believed he was overthinking it.
In any case, his eye caught Diana's breifly and the two gave a mutual nod before she returned to whatever conversation she was having with her roommates. The bus wasn't the most romantic place to confess one's feelings anyway, and Bakugou correctly guessed that any confession to Diana was best done privately to prevent the rest of the Luna Nova witches thinking the two perfectionists had gone soft.
Ursula was on the verge of encouraging the boys to make more conversation, but Todoroki quickly took a nap while Deku and Bakugou retreated to their phones.
The ride was uneventful sans a few checkpoints manned by British special forces looking for the loose villain, and even those were hardly noteworthy events. Before anyone knew it, they had arrived on a street in Bath and began making their way out of the bus, ready for their trip to the springs.
At first glance, they wondered how they even managed to secure a spot in Bath's famous waters with all the tourists around them.
The heroes noticed that Bath, as opposed to the quieter Blytonburry, was quite lively and active. The buildings were bigger, and streets housed numerous individuals taking photos of everything around them with some even bothering to stop and glance at the rare sight of the witches before moving on.
And much like an average city in Japan, Bath was full of clear quirk users, likely foreigners. With their desire to see the springs, it really did feel like home to them.
"Everyone!" yelled Ursula to the students before her. "Let's head to the hotel. Stick together in your groups, and politely decline to take photos. People aren't here to see witches, but you know how tourists can be."
"Aw, I'd be honored to take a photo." whimpered Akko as she moved along.
Ursula glanced at the boys. "That goes for you three too if someone notices you."
"As if I'd let anyone stop me." grunted Bakugou, moving along the crowd.
"Your PR skills need work." muttered Todoroki.
Deku sighed, knowing that Bakugou was further on the edge today due to his desire to get everyone's confessions out of their systems, but their personalities really were going to make it a fickle.
He tried to think about something other than his confession, or the annoying tourists, only to stare right at yet another fire team of British SAS soldiers patrolling the streets. They were clearly relentless in their chase.
Without much further obstruction, everyone moved into the hotel's reception, Ursula immediately going to the front desk to check in.
"Hello," she greeted the receptionist, whose name tag read Mathew. "We're from Luna Nova and have a booking here at the Intercontinental for multiple rooms and 3 hot springs for tonight. It should be filed under my name or the academy's."
Mathew smiled sheepishly. "Funny story, we're no longer called the Intercontinental, we're now White Wolf Hotel."
Todoroki glanced at Amanda upon hearing the name. "White Wolf, isn't that…"
Ursula spoke up. "Oh, so Mr. Oswald bought this location?"
"More like the entire global Intercontinental chain." Mathew suddenly pointed to the side, which everyone followed to a photo shoot where none other than Oswald himself was standing with a giant cheque.
"Doesn't he own that mercenary company or something?" recalled Akko.
Deku laughed. "Clearly he has too much money to spend, so might as well buy a hotel I guess."
"And to think a fool and his money would be easily separated." muttered Diana, who decided not to question how he could afford his ventures.
Ursula shrugged. "In any case, we still have our rooms right."
Matthew nodded. "Of course. I'll get the room keys ready."
Once the check in was complete, everyone received their room keys, Bakugou snatching it from Ursula's hand abruptly as he faced Deku and Todoroki "You know the drill you nerds, there's gonna be two beds in that room, so I want.."
"One bed to yourself?" interrupted Todoroki.
"That's a giant done." nodded Deku.
Diana crossed her arms as she overheard the conversation. "You're not going even going to fight him over it?"
"Sharing a bed with Bakugou is a big punishment, heck I'll even take the couch if there's one." explained Deku.
Bakugou's eyes twitched as he readied an explosion. "Why, you God damn!"
Suddenly Ursula, who had pretended to ignore everything for the sake of her sanity called out to the students. "Okay then, it's time for everyone to head to their rooms and unpack. PLEASE stay with your roommates at all time. We only have one key for each trio right now."
Akko shot her hands up. "Yay! I can't wait to set up my Chariot collection again."
"You packed that?" deadpanned Sucy.
"Yeah, had to get rid of some unimportant things though." explained Akko.
"I feel like you've gotten rid of more than some." muttered Amanda as she took off with Constanze and Jasminka, the rest of Luna Nova following them.
Deku all the while felt emboldened by Akko's devotion. "Wow, I brought my All Might collection too."
"We get it, you nerds are made for each other." said Bakugou.
The heroes were about to move until Ursula placed a hand on Deku's shoulder and called on them to hold on. "Wait a minute, I need to talk to you three."
Ursula stepped in front of the three heroes. "Look boys, we're going to take a little extra to prepare because they have assignments I want done now so we can enjoy the full night. That, and lady things of course."
Ursula gave a cute giggle at that last remark before she continued. "So, I'm gonna offer you all a hundred pounds from our budget to go get lunch to kill some time and explore the city. Just be back by eight. Maybe you can be our guides for tomorrow."
Deku gasped. "Oh, that's a great idea. I'd love to lead a tour guide."
"Your nerd ass would go on for an hour about every little thing." hissed Bakugou.
"Agreed." nodded Todoroki.
"Don't be like that," chided Ursula. "Besides, girls like it when boys lead right?"
"AGH" suddenly went the three heroes as their faced turned a bright red.
And this time, Ursula didn't even say she was joking. It was advice. "So anyway, I really recommend checking out La Piccola Strega once you all unpack faster than us. It's a nice Italian restaurant close by that has a lot of witches and wizards as patrons. Nothing really magical about the place though, it's just charming."
"Noted." replied Todoroki.
"All right, let's get to it then." smiled Ursula.
"Man there really are a lot of witches and wizards here." noticed Deku, realizing that he and his friends were the only non-magic folk, if only by the fact they weren't wearing robes.
"We really do stick out." acknowledged Todoroki.
"Screw em, we're here to eat and nothing more." chided Bakugou.
After unpacking, the heroes took Ursula's advice to walk down the street to La Piccola Strega, and true to its name, were greeted by a plethora of mages from all over the world, dining on some Italian food.
A waiter walked over, carrying some plates with hot food on them. "Your meals gentleman."
Deku clasped his hands together. "Ohhh my first meal at La Piccola Strega, this is gonna be exciting huh guys?"
His friends didn't respond, but instead the waiter shot him the same look the receptionist did back at the hotel. "Um, we're no longer called that as of the last few minutes. We've been bought by our competitor and are now called Il Piccolo Lupo."
Bakugou's eyes twitched. "WAIT a fucking minute. Lupo...lupo...lupes..does that mean wolf in Italian by any chance?"
"I'm not actually Italian, but yeah." confirmed the waiter.
"Ugh that fucking Oswald is gonna buy up everything isn't he?" complained Bakugou. "What's next, our souls?"
"Greed knows no bounds." whimpered Deku, noticing that Oswald himself was dining at the restaurant he just bought a few tables away.
Deku changed the subject. "So know what we can do to kill the next few hours guys? It's only three so we have lots of time. We could see a museum, get more coffee, or even..."
"Anything where you won't be a pain in the ass." remarked Bakugou.
"Looking for the loose villain that's fun!" cheered Deku, ignoring Bakugou's outburst.
Todoroki wished Deku didn't bring up that subject.
"I'm not saying we should fight her, but if we catch a glimpse of her we could at least stop her from ruining our night," noted Deku. "I mean, with our luck based on our last few outings, I've deduced there's a two thirds chance that the villain will spring right before our very eyes to spoil our magical moment with the witches. Why, she could even be under our noses right now!"
"I don't think a villain would dine here." muttered Todoroki, trying hard to avoid spilling any information he could. It was especially awkward since Cynthia's or Rotha's main competitor, Oswald was in the same restaurant as them.
"Why not?" said Deku. "There's a lot of witches and wizards she could turn evil here, right Kaachan?"
"Fuck if I know but this food is actually pretty good so please shut the fuck up." replied Bakugou, mouth full of pasta, holding his cup with his other free hand.
And as he waved his drink to the side violently while cursing at Deku, drops of it began splashing around, some of which hit a passerby in the face and dress.
The victim of Bakugou's antics, a tall witch with lilac hair and a red cape, wiped her eyes and dropped her mouth after seeing her outfit stained. She immediately stomped over to Bakugou, who looked at her unimpressed.
"Well?" hissed the witch.
"What?" muttered Bakugou, raising an eyebrow at her while Deku and Todoroki hopelessly watched what would be a situation turned instantly hostile thanks to Bakugou's demeanor.
"What do you have to say for yourself young man?" spat the witch.
"How about watch where the fuck you're going dumbass." deflected Bakugou.
The witch's mouth dropped, her face turning red as her cape. "Is that how you apologize to others for your wrongdoing?"
"What's it to you?" replied Bakugou. "Use some cleaning magic, stop whining, and get the fuck out of here before I waste you."
Her pupils shrunk. She grabbed Bakugou by the elbows, displaying some sudden strength, and stared him dead eyes. She readied a wand and a spell, growling "If that's the game you want to play sir, then I have a lot of curses and hexes I'd like to try out on you now!"
Bakugou didn't look threatened, but instead knitted his eyebrows and drove his fist up to her chin, knocking the caped witch away and onto the ground.
He crouched down next to her as she lied down, inspecting her state, and decided the best thing to do was deliver kick after kick after kick.
"Threatening a student huh! You must be the villain! Take that! Take that!" He yelled at the top of his lungs as he drove his feet to her side repeatedly.
"A villain!" cried Deku, who immediately rushed towards Bakugou and began aiding him in taking down the witch. "Take that! Take that!"
Todoroki stared at his compatriots wildly beating the shit out of the witch as the patrons of the restaurant looked on in horror. He groaned and took a sip from his own drink and walked on over the scene, to start kicking her himself.
After fifteen seconds of nonsense however, Todoroki had a sudden realization and yelled out loud to get his classmates to stop.
"Wait! Deku! Bakugou! I don't think she's a villain, just a totally random witch." realized Todoroki.
Deku's eyes widened. "B-but she threatened Kaachan."
Todoroki looked down and the witch, bruised and lightly bloodied. "Still, I don't think she's evil."
Bakugou himself pointed down at her semi conscious body. "But fucking look at her. With that stupid cape and haircut she's totally a villain."
"Maybe in another world she'd be, but not this one." shrugged Todoroki.
And right on cue, security arrived on the scene, not too flattered with the display the boys had just put on.
One guard crossed his arms as Deku gulped. "Oh great, look at who we have here."
"You three and that witch are coming with us." muttered the other officer.
"WAIT JUST A MINUTE!" yelled an accent that belonged to none other than Oswald himself as he began approaching the scene of the struggle.
"What do you want of all people?" groaned an officer.
"These young lads were defending themselves from harm, they aren't in the wrong here. How could they? They're heroes!" protested Oswald.
"I'm not too sure about what I just did honestly." admitted Deku.
"Shhh," whispered Oswald. "I won't let injustice win. All I have to do is just buy the courts and police to…"
"NO!" yelled everyone in the restaurant collectively, shutting down his next venture in his infancy.
As much as the authorities wanted to lock both parties up, it was decided that a hefty bail sentence would be paid out, which Todoroki secured after a long call with his father. Not wanting his reputation damaged further, Endeavor also offered extra payments to the police and the witch they struggled with for hush money.
Regardless, Todoroki did not expect a happy welcome home from his father, but at least he wouldn't have to explain to Amanada why he nearly ended up in jail.
While Deku was still shaken from having his criminal record updated as he stepped out of the police station, and Todoroki was less than pleased with their situation, Bakugou acted like nothing had happened.
"Glad we're done with those fuckers." he muttered as he looked around the town for something interesting.
"No kidding Kaachan," whimpered Deku. "If she didn't grab you first, we couldn't argue it was self defense."
"And none of us decided to go overkill with our quirks." added Todoroki, which would have seriously landed them in trouble, attacked first or not.
Bakugou barely sounded like he cared. "Eh, if she didn't grab me she would've walked straight into my flames, no excuses for her."
"But for real, she really did look like a villain." muttered Deku, unable to drop the subject until Bakugou began moving forward.
"Anyway, I think we've completed our objective of killing time, so we should head back now." muttered Todoroki.
Bakugou glanced at his phone, checking the time. "Yeah, got a text from glasses, it's almost time."
"But what are we gonna tell Ursula and the others?" asked Deku.
"Nothing you nerd." said Bakugou.
"But won't they expect us to take them on a tour tomorrow? It'll be suspicious if we didn't go anywhere." pointed Deku.
"It's more than believable that we didn't go anywhere outside of the restaurant due to hours of bickering." suggested Todoroki for a cover.
"R-right." stammered Deku as he followed his friends to the resort.
They entered the lobby again, and of course the witches were all waiting for them at the desk for the hot springs. Ursula herself was checking her phone and looked a little disappointed at something, before she readjusted once she noticed the heroes.
"Oh, there you are boys," greeted Ursula. "Right on time."
"So we're good to go?" asked Deku,
"Of...course." stammered Ursula.
Todoroki raised an eyebrow. "Is something wrong professor?"
Ursula took a deep breath. "Well, I had a friend who was supposed to be joining us, but she got really injured."
"That's awful." frowned Deku.
"C'est la vie," shrugged Ursula. "Apparently she also won a lot of money from a lottery today, so at least there's that."
Luckily, the hero trio resisted making any facial expressions that would have given away their realization of who Ursula's friend was, and remained silent as she turned around to arrange for everyone's night out.
Akko crept up to the heroes. "Did you guys do anything cool?"
Deku blushed as he tried to blurt the cover story. "Uh, we kinda stuck around the restaurant because Kaachan and I...uh…"
"Oh I get it!" nodded Akko. "Don't worry, we'll have our fun tonight right?"
"RIGHT!" exclaimed Deku.
Meanwhile the receptionist, whose tag read 'Edward', studied the group before him, checking off some data on his computer before speaking with Ursula.
"So you all are under the Luna Nova reservation," buzzed Edward. "And I take it you're their chaperone Professor Ursula?"
Ursula nodded. "Indeed I am. Me, my students and our guests should be all ready to go. I double checked to make sure everything was paid for and the arrangements were made just before coming down here."
"Understood," complied Edward, who then looked into the crowd of students. "And your extra guests are the three males?"
"That's them." confirmed Ursula.
Edward glanced over to the heroes eagerly, who each stared back at him in the eye. "Deku, Todoroki and Bakugou huh? Damn, I've heard quite a bit about you guys. Mostly about your adventures with villains. And uh, how did you end up with these witches again?"
"They fell from the sky. Literally." said Ursula dryly, but with a grin that was mimicked by even some of the hardier students.
"Right right," muttered Edward as he got back to work, only the abruptly stop with his eyes widening. Everyone knew that could mean trouble, and no one wanted their plans ruined.
"Are you sure you double checked everything?" inquired Edward who almost looked baffled.
"What's the problem?" checked Ursula.
"You asked for three baths, two regular and one small?" said Edward.
"Yes, two regular baths next to each other to fit the girls while the boys head up to the smaller one." remarked Ursula.
That plan made sense to the students. There were quite a few more girls than boys obviously, so it wouldn't make sense to get a regular sized bath for three boys only.
Edward pointed his finger to the witches and heroes. "How old are they?"
"The students?" frowned Ursula. "The girls are around 17 to 18 while the boys are around 16 to 17 if I recall."
Biting his lip, Edward relayed the bad news. "Um, the small baths are for adults only which we define as being over nineteen so I'm afraid we can't have those three there."
"What the fuck?" blurted Bakugou.
Edward held his hands. "Sorry mate, but the small baths are a bit of a VIP deal. Secluded, kind of fancy. We can't really have adolescents around since you all can be wild."
"Come one Kaachan he has a point." whimpered Deku as he tried to get Bakugou to calm down.
"Let's not back his claims in front of everyone." suggested Todoroki, who emphasized the last word to remind Bakugou that they had a mission to confess to their crushes, and acting out of order was the last thing they needed.
Bakugou got ahold of himself, but still gritted his teeth. "So what are we gonna do?"
"Enjoy a springs day without you?" snickered Hannah, whose sneer vanished when Ursula stomped her foot.
"Oh no! We're all going, and not just because I paid for their tickets out of my own wallet." assured Urusula. "There must be something we can do?"
Lotte meanwhile sensed something fishy going on and whispered to her friends. "There's no way Urusla could have messed than one up. That's not like her."
"Yeah, she's like the last person to miss something important like booking us something for adults." agreed Akko.
"How about we acquire another spring for them?" suggested Diana.
Urusla shook her head, and her eyes began to squint rather suspiciously. "Could we do that sir?"
Edward looked at his computer and shook his head. "Nope. You booked rather last minute I'm afraid. We're all taken here."
"Oh darn," said Urusla. "I guess that means we have to send the boys to one of the regular baths while moving all the girls to the other one."
That plan made the girls look fraught and worrisome with a light feeling of claustrophobia hovering above them.
"Won't we be crowded like that?" realized Amanda.
"Indeed, we'll be at double carrying capacity." agreed Diana.
Edward shook his hand as he thought about it. "I mean these baths can actually handle triple the capacity, but it wouldn't be too comfortable at all now would it? I'm afraid this is your only choice if you want both the guys and the girls to be able to use our facilities for the night."
Deku scratched his hair. "Um, the three of us guys don't have to go to the baths right? I brought my All Might trading cards we could play with back at our room."
Bakugou twitched. "We're going dumbass."
Ursula clasped her hands together. "Well, I'm afraid we have not choice but to put all the girls in one spring while you three boys get the other. That's the only way we can do this."
"And what are you going to do about that small deluxe bath?" pondered Edward.
Ursula placed a finger on her lip, her deception getting more apparent to the students. "I don't want it to go to waste now, so I guess I'll have to enjoy it alone if it's for over nineteen only."
Diana groaned and whispered to Hannah and Barabara. "She did this on purpose. She did this so she could have the night to herself."
"Diana!" called out Ursula, seemingly oblivious to her whispering. "Can I trust you to supervise your classmates in my absence? I doubt I'll be more than a minute away anyway."
"Of course you can professor." nodded Diana which prompted some groans from the witches. Diana's uptight and orderly attitude would mean that certain topics couldn't be discussed, or pranks couldn't be pulled. They would have rather have Ursula crowd with them.
"What about us?" piped up Deku.
Ursula adjusted her glasses and took a small breath. "Don't do anything rash?"
"No shit." replied Bakugou.
"Easier said than done." whispered Ursula under her breath, who proceeded to lead the students outside to the changing area accompanied by Edward.
Everyone got undressed and into their towels uneventfully. Of course, the boys took much less time to get going, as Akko didn't catch a glimpse of them while she and her classmates moved on over to their bath.
It was a pretty standard spring before them. One big body of water which glowed in the moonlight, gave off some steam since it was heated, and was surrounded by a lot of Roman architecture, drawing back to the roots of the city and the practice of public bathing.
Right in the middle of the spring was a dividing wall, where Akko expected the three heroes were chilling or getting on each other's nerves. The latter seemed more likely.
Sure enough, once all the witches began crowding in, the bath to person ratio became apparent. It wasn't too bad as there was still space for each witch to wade around, but Akko didn't ever recall it being this cramped in a bath once in Japan.
After a bunch of "Move it! Make some room! Get outta my way!" cries of annoyance, the witches finally all settled in a spot where they could at least be a bit comfy.
"It's not that bad, but I'm cramped." gritted an annoyed Amanda.
"And the boys get a big bath all to themselves. This isn't fair." complained Barbara.
"Just because Ursula wanted a night off." groaned Lotte.
"Could you blame her though?" admitted Hannah.
"Still, no room to swim or do experiments." sighed Sucy.
"You aren't supposed to do that in a bath," face palmed Akko. "You're supposed to just chill and talk. Take it light and easy."
"I agree," nodded Diana, much to everyone's surprise. She began closing her eyes and resting her body in the water, holding her towel tight as she descended in the bath. "We're already cramped enough as it is, so let's not drive each other crazy."
Once Diana said something, the rest of the class tended to follow, especially when she was effectively the one put in charge once the teachers left them on their own.
Akko huddled up with Sucy and Lotte, trying to get comfortable without awkwardly touching each other. Still, they were practically canned in the bath, and it was bitter knowing that the three heroes had a similar sized bath all to themselves on the other side, especially since it was so Ursula could have her private one.
"So we're really just gonna sit here and chill. Kinda lame." complained Barbara.
"But it's so beautiful tonight." beamed Jasminka.
"Yeah, you're supposed to be all relaxed. Enjoying the scenery, taking it in while you reflect on how far you've gotten." explained Akko.
"With our luck and adventures, I'm surprised we got this far." muttered Amanda, Constanze giving a quick nod in agreement.
Sucy looked around the area, contemplating just how many of them were packed in, and shook her head. "Face it, I don't think we're gonna be mellow tonight."
Diana opened her eyes as the witches began talking louder and louder amongst themselves. No one was taking Akko's suggestion for a typical hot springs night. "I just don't think we are the type of people to take things easy right now."
Akko's face turned sour as Sucy began smiling, never a good sign for her.
"Say Akko," chirped Sucy. "Don't girls in anime gossip a lot in the baths?"
Akko's mouth dropped. "Uhhh where are you going with this."
"That's right they do!" confirmed Lotte.
"Don't encourage her!" screeched and pleaded Akko.
Hannah and Barbara suddenly dove in. "Ohh are we talking about good old fashioned gossip?" said the former.
Amanda hopped in too. "Do I smell potential blackmail?"
Diana stood up and stared at her roommates and compatriots with a scolding glare. She smelled the topic a mile away. "Amanda, don't you realize what they mean by gossip?"
Amanda eyed Akko and suddenly realized she was screwed. The latter just had an array of flashbacks about Sucy and Lotte teasing her about Andrew because she knew exactly what was coming her way. Both were too shocked to sink to the water or bail out however.
Sucy's grin widened. "Oh, I don't know what you mean Diana," she lied "What did you think I was going to talk about."
Diana rolled her eyes, tempted to strike a spell at her to get her to shut up.
Jasminka piped up. "I think she was referring to her crush on Bakugou."
Hannah and Barbara clasped their hands together. "Those are false rumors and slander!" cried the former. "She would never fall for him right?" added the latter, desperately waiting for a response from Diana.
Diana said nothing and only let out a grunt, which did not alleviate their fears.
Sucy giggled. "Now that's a good topic. So Akko, how do you feel about Deku?"
Akko began shaking. "Y-you know they can probably h-hear us."
Sucy placed a hand behind her ear. "Uh no, everyone hear is too loud and I can hear those three arguing about something. They're none the wiser."
Akko stomped her foot in the water. "Thanks a lot everyone."
"Now spill the beans." ordered Sucy.
"I mean we can all see it." pointed out Lotte.
Akko raised an eyebrow. "You can?"
"I mean it's really obvious," muttered Sucy. "You'd have to be a complete idiot not to see that, but given who I'm speaking to…"
"Hey!" interrupted Akko.
Jasminka began blushing. "You two would be so cute together. You all want to be the best witch and hero, love your idols and are just precious. So sweet I could eat you up!"
"Hey! We all know Diana is gonna hold that title." protested Barbara.
Diana bit her lip, her own face turning red. "That would be something desirable. And if I had to put my money on the next top hero, I'd have to give it to Bakugou."
Hannah almost fainted. "You...you're not saying.."
Diana placed a finger on her chin. "I mean, he's determined, strives for perfection, lacks naivety and makes it his goal to root out weakness. He's the perfect candidate."
"He is not!" countered Akko. "Deku has the real spirit of a hero and once he masters his quirk he'll be the next All Might."
Amanda butted in. "You guys and your competitions."
"Oh, we haven't heard from you." noted Jasminka.
Amanda smirked. "Well, I ain't got nothing to hide anymore. I like Todoroki. Like A LOT. He's powerful, cool no matter what's going on, understands me and is just so hot."
"Boo, lame pun." joked Sucy while Amanda returned a middle finger to her.
Amanda continued, blushing redder than her hair. "And like…..I just get this feeling that I wanna pin him down and like….take him."
The pupils on Akko's and Diana's eyes shrunk while the rest had their mouths dropped.
Amanda shrugged. "What? It's true. Just the idea of him being taken aback by my beauty and power just makes me feel tingly."
Akko nervously laughed. "I mean, I wouldn't mind doing that to Deku too I...guess. He'd be adorable in that position."
Lotte got ahold of herself. "Whoa...I didn't know you weren't...that innocent."
"Diana, this is going a little too far." protested Hannah, who desperately did not want Diana to answer that she wouldn't mind topping Bakugou too.
"I agree, let's end this discussion here," siad Diana before she turned to the side and whispered under her breath. "Well, I guess Bakugou would…"
Suddenly, the first loud coherent statement from the boys' side finally came out in the form of Deku yelling. "Whoa how did you get it so big!"
Akko's eyes widened. "Huh?"
"Just ignore them." muttered Sucy.
"Heh! Your puny nerd ass wishes yours was as big as mine!" suddenly called out Bakugou.
Diana's face turned red as she placed a finger on her chin. "For the love of God, don't tell me those three are seriously...I mean..could they…"
"Noooo they're way too innocent for that." blew off Amanda.
"Are we sure about that?" piped up Barbara.
"I don't think they're stupid enough to be doing...that...while we'er on the other side." muttered Hannah.
"Whoa!" screamed Deku. "Todoroki's way taller though. That's impressive!"
And then the witches fell silent, their faces turning redder and redder, trying to ignore what they hoped was just innuendo and not what they thought boys did while they are alone.
They were so silent that they could hear Todoroki say back. "Yeah, but Bakugou's is much wider though."
"Damn right it is, so don't you get cocky!" hissed Bakugou.
Akko sheepishly laughed and began sinking into the water, embarrassed beyond all relief. "I'm sure they're not um...doing something nice."
"What she said." agreed Amanda, trying her hardest not to sound startled.
"WHAT THE FUCK DEKU! HOW DID YOU GET YOURS SO BIG." screamed Bakugou at the top of his lungs.
And then Akko sprang and stood up in the bath, her mouth agape.
Diana began twitching and crossed her arms. "Why the nerve of those insolent little…"
"Maybe they're talking about something else. We can't tell for sure." perked up Jasminka.
"Well we can't exactly tell." gulped Hannah, who still looked a little hopeful.
"Kaachan what are you doing!" screeched Deku.
"Hands off me Deku! There's no way a nerd like you can get it that big." said Bakugou, angry and clearly jealous.
"I can actually believe he could get it that big." countered Todoroki.
"Kaachan don't touch it, you could end up making...ugh..hey!" squealed Deku.
"Let go!" jumped Todoroki.
"I HAVE TO KNOW!" suddenly yelled Lotte frantically as she suddenly dragged out her wand and began conjuring up a spell, desperate to reveal what the boys were doing behind that wall.
Diana's pupils shrunk. "How did you get..."
Before Diana could finish her sentence, Lotte's spell caused the water to glow the same color as her wand, and she turned the bath's water into a canon that shout out and broke a whole into the wall dividing the two baths.
It was like a hydro dam going bust.
"Why." was all Sucy could say at the display.
From the other side laid the three heroes staring back at the witches with shrunken pupils, all wearing towels while their hands were near three sets of castle cards. Big and detailed castle cards that must have taken a while to put together, and worthy of entering in a competition.
Before Jaminka could comment that she was right, those cards came tumbling down a second after the witches and heroes made eye contact. All that card architecture had gone to waste.
And of course, what else could either party scream except for "NNNOOOOOO!"
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!" scolded another voice that could only belong to Ursula, screeching with authority that she rarely displayed. She really was less than a minute away from the students and wanted her explanation fast.
Everyone looked up on the tiny hill she was looking down, her expression furious as she gazed at the carnage before her, clutching her tower to her body tight. The wall dividing the heroes and the witches broken and the lack of water in the girls' bath apparent, everyone knew they were screwed at that moment.
Sucy however, had no intention of getting the brunt of any punishment.
"She did it." pointed she at Lotte.
Lotte's mouth hung agape as she nervously tried to defend herself, having at least the foresight to conceal her wand before facing Ursula.
"I...uh...wasn't me." gulped Lotte.
Ursula squeezed the knot of her bath towel harder. "Nice try Lotte, but Deku is too shy, Todoroki is too mopey, Bakugou's too angry and the rest of the girls are too cowardly to ever try a move like that. Whereas you however, had your hentai magazines confiscated last week. I know there's more than what meets the eye to you."
At that point, the witches were too busy processing which bit of information was more important to them now.
"Did she just call me a coward?" realized Amanda, squinting her eyes.
Akko too had other priorities as she bumped Lotte's arm. "You were hiding good stuff from me?"
As Lotte sank into the water, dreading whatever punishment was coming, Ursula sighed and adjusted her glasses. "Well, I think we know what's going to come next now don't we?" she said, now more annoyed than furious.
"Do we have to leave?" moped Akko. She knew that she and her roommates had a tendency to bring disaster with them wherever they went, but that didn't make punishments easier.
Ursula shook her head, much to Akko's surprise. "Considering I still paid for all those baths, and the fact that Lotte was so desperate to know what the heroes were doing, I'm afraid you're all going to have to crowd on over their bath."
The mouths of the young witches dropped in disbelief. Sharing the bath with the heroes? With three notable exceptions, they were at first more concerned about how much tighter the squeeze was gonna be, given that they were already packed without adding the boys in.
It did dawn on them the moment after how awkward the now mixed bath would be, but the night was pretty much doomed anyway thanks to Lotte's stunt.
Ursula sighed and faced the heroes. "Sorry about that boys, I…"
When she froze, the rest of the witches looked at the heroes too, and quickly noticed why they were quiet suddenly instead of apologizing or raging.
Bakugou, Todoroki and Deku were almost in a trance like state, having clearly been gazing at Ursula the whole time.
It was then that Ursula realized just how much skin she was flashing. Granted, she was covered up technically, but she had been given the same size towel as her students, and with her taller and more voluptuous figure, made it look smaller in comparison. Her cleavage was visible and the tight squeeze she used to keep her towel on only highlighted the curves of her hips and thighs.
Akko, Diana and Amanda thus experienced what had to be their first true bout of jealousy over the attention of their crushes.
Ursula sheepishly laughed. She couldn't recall the last time men ogled her like that and while she was flattered, she obviously had no interest in the hero trio. "Eh...he...I'll just leave you all to it I guess."
She turned around and began heading back to her private bath, while the witches began reluctantly heading over to the one the heroes' occupied.
Once Ursula was out of sight, Bakugou snapped back to reality and whispered his observation.
"Of course she's Chariot, I'd recognize that cleavage from anywhere." he said under his breath.
Before Todoroki could say anything, the witches had finally begun stepping into their bath, prompting the heroes to start trying to make room.
Deku, Bakugou and Todoroki huddled into their own corner of the bath, the size of it daunting on them after they had enjoyed it for themselves for a half hour. The awkwardness of having to share the bath with the girls really became apparent to them as their faces turned a little red, especially since they knew they were literally wearing just one layer of separation that prevented it from being a nude bath.
Bakugou gritted his teeth. His plan to meet Diana after the event, pull her somewhere private and confess was in shambles. Defeated, he felt tempted to throw in the towel, not the one attached to his body, of course, and figure out some other plan to tell Diana how he felt.
As it would turn out, he didn't have time to think as he felt his arm tugged on.
He spun around, thinking it was one of his classmates, only to get caught off guard by Diana facing him, almost a lip's distance away.
"Mind if I join you?" asked Diana, acting as if nothing awkward was going on. "It's packed and if I'm going to endure this night, I'd rather do it with you."
Bakugou kept his cool, undeterred by Diana's confrontation, and peeked down once he noticed something was off about her. It wasn't something he was going to get worked up over, and in his mind he celebrated the difference, but he still felt the need to point it out.
"You weren't that big right there just a second ago," pointed Bakugou. He then glanced at Akko and Amanda's tops, who sure enough had gone under that certain change as well. "And neither were they."
Diana rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about? I thought you were good at paying attention to details."
Bakugou smirked. "Trust me, that's why I can tell there's a major fucking difference." He figured that Akko, Amanda and Diana used some magic to grow a size or two when no one was looking, especially after he, Todoroki and Deku had gawked at Ursula.
"So am I allowed to enjoy your company or what?" asked Diana.
"Of course you are." confirmed Bakugou, who sat down and backed off to make some room, only for Diana to nudge closer towards him as she sat down her self.
Bakugou's cheeks flushed red as Diana huddled against him, their bodies touching with only the towels separating them from full contact. Diana rested her head on his chest like a pillow, and the scent of her hair filled him with bliss.
At the same time, Deku found Akko approaching him as well.
"Room for one more?" chirped Akko.
Deku got ahold of himself as he admired her wet body bathed in moonlight. "Uh, yeah!"
"Yay!" beamed Akko, who then did as Diana but without giving Deku even the chance to react as she sat down on his knees, which instantly caused him to blush.
Deku's face swelled with emotion as he felt Akko's legs and thighs wrap around his own. He was like a volcano ready to burst with a squeal, held in check only through sheer willpower and not wanting to do anything to ruin Akko's captivating smile.
Finally, Amanda crept up next to Todoroki, who with only a nod invited her to begin a little bath side cuddle. Amanda placing her hands on his bare chest as she stared into his eyes.
"Some night huh?" asked Amanda.
"Well, your presence at least made it a lot better." admitted Todoroki.
"Of course it did." bragged Amanda as she brought her face even closer to his, while Todoroki took his cue to place his hands on her body, noting that her towel highlighted her figure very well.
Bakugou began stroking Diana's hair with his own hand, while the other took Diana's free one as they made conversation.
"Nice to know they're not freaking out about us." he remarked, observing that other the witches were too busy making conversation amongst themselves rather than glancing at them.
"I think us being together is too much for them to handle." inferred Diana.
Bakugou chuckled. "You're damn right. We've got the hero and magic market covered and they know they can't compete with us backing each other up."
"Still, we should do our best to foster competition, even if the top spots should be ours." added Diana.
"Right, and what better couple for the world to look up to than us." smirked Bakugou.
"To be fair, I do think everyone else is just trying to give us some space." said Diana.
"Now that's thoughtful. Been waiting for this for a week." replied Bakugou.
"As have I," responded Diana as she turned her face to meet Bakugou's, gazing deeply into each other's eyes.
"I actually had a dream about this last night." muttered Bakugou.
"Oh?" said Diana, who began nuzzling his neck and cheek. "Do tell."
"It was like a fairy tale. Just the two of us, near a lake, nice starry night sky." dryly recounted Bakugou.
"Was I naked, humming and wearing a flower crown?" chirped Diana.
Bakugou knitted his eyebrows. "How did you…"
"Come now, the art of the witch embracing her prince is everyone's first fantasy." interrupted Diana.
"Right right." Bakugou remembered seeing that painting back in Middle School. Hell he recalled Midnight had it stashed in her office, perhaps the original itself. "You do have a nice hum though."
"Would you like waking up hum every morning?" teased Diana, even though her face remained as stern as ever.
"That would be fucking great." confirmed Bakugou.
"How did your dream end by the way?" asked Diana curiously.
"Well, I hugged your naked body, you nuzzled me like you did now and we were about to kiss until I woke up." told Bakugou.
"Such a shame that a beautiful dream went to waste." shook Diana.
"Tell me about it." nodded Bakugou.
"Well, I can't stand having things left incomplete." said Diana dreamily, lips distance from Bakugou.
"Neither can I. If it isn't a hundred percent what's the fucking point." stated Bakugou, who while not smiling himself, couldn't sound happier.
"Think we can finish that dream together?" offered Diana.
"Together, there ain't nothing we can't do." agreed Bakugou.
And without even a pause, Bakugou and Diana leaned in for their first kiss. It wasn't too long or anything more than just their lips hugging, but it was magical to say the least.
On cue, the other witches finally began reacting.
"Say it isn't so!" pleaded Hannah.
"We have to respect her wishes I'm afraid!" squealed Barbara.
"Oh man, looks like Bakugou and Diana really are together."
"Satan has found his bride."
"Of course, those two jerks got together."
Bakugou and Diana ignored them, the two still holding hands and cuddling in the water. Their faces were stern, but had a degree of warmth underneath. They didn't care what others had to say if they were there for each other.
Akko all the while looked defeated. "Oh man! Bakugou and Diana are probably the first Witch and Hero to kiss in history."
Deku finally spat out some words. "Uh, you did kiss me on the cheek at that festival. Remember, back in Oxford."
"Oh yeah! Think that counts?" asked Akko.
"I...I don't know." admitted Deku.
Akko then suddenly guided one of Deku's hands to her bare lap while she held the other. "You know what, it doesn't matter. As long as I have you as my hero."
Deku's pupils shrunk. "Your hero?"
"Yeah, you've gone against villains, people who doubted you and an Academy designed to break you. Just like me!" cheered Akko.
"Huh I really am just like you." beamed Deku.
Akko tightened the grip on Deku's hand, just like Diana did with Bakugou's. "So do you want to show the world we can be the next Chariot and All Might?"
"Yeah! You and I can totally do it together." smiled Deku.
Akko's voice turned a little shy. "So Deku….will you be my hero?"
Deku gulped, but mustered the courage to speak. He knew this was now or never. "Only if you'll be my little witch."
"Yay!" celebrated Akko as she closed his eyes and kissed Deku happily.
Rather than turning into a nervous mess, Deku remained kept his cool and enjoyed the kiss, even though his mind was full thoughts as he processed the feeling of Akko's lips on his own.
His internal ramblings read 'Oh man! My first kiss, this is amazing. Not exactly how I pictured it but who cares! I get to do it with someone who's basically me but a witch. Akko's a really great kisser though. Hope I'm good enough for her, she seems happy. What if she's practiced kissing other guys though like with Andrew. Akko didn't say she loved me and I swore there was something between her and Andrew and I….I...don't care.'
For once, Deku stopped overthinking about a situation and just closed his eyes as he focused on Akko, the passionate girl whose dreams he wanted to make come true, the girl who he knew would support his own dreams back.
"Aw, I'm so happy for them." beamed Lotte, now glad that she had torn down the wall.
"Finally," muttered Sucy. "The wait was kinda getting on my nerves."
Finally, Todoroki and Amanda glanced at the newly formed couples, knowing that it was their turn to address their feelings for each other.
"Glad to see they're finally together huh?" chirped Amanda to Todoroki.
"I foresee many headaches now that they're gonna be in constant touch." said Todoroki.
"Yeah, but we'll handle them together won't we?" laughed Amanda.
"Certainly." nodded Todoroki.
"You know, we could have been the first witch and hero to kiss if we weren't interrupted back at Appleton." pointed Amanda.
"It would've been an odd, but certainly memorable first kiss." pondered Todoroki.
"So what do you think your dad would say if we kissed right now?" asked Amanda.
Todoroki almost laughed. "Well, my dad would yell Shotoooo and go on rambling about how not only have I allowed myself to attend a witch's academy, but also foil his insane plans for hero eugenics by dating a witch."
"Hm, my folks would be weirded out, but less dramatic. I don't care either way." said Amanda slyly, tracing her fingers around his chest.
"Neither do I." replied Todoroki.
"So should we continue where we left off?" inquired Amanda.
"I would like that." answered Todoroki, who was then rewarded with a kiss from Amanda as she hugged him tight, him returning the favor.
Although Todoroki could be an icy guy, Amanda was pleased to report that his kiss and hug had a lot of passion behind it, her own little victory against the other two couples' displays.
Jasminka shed a tear. "This night is straight out of the storybooks my papa read me. Constanze, we must remember this night with a group photo."
"Wait no! The world mustn't know Diana likes Bakugou." begged Hannah.
It was too late, Constanze darted out of the bath and readied a magical phone she kept God knows where the whole time.
The newly formed couples all the while enjoyed each other's embrace, a new chapter in not just their lives, but the worlds of hero and magical society as a whole. No party had said that they loved each other, but deep down they knew that something special was awaiting them.
Without a word and ignoring all the celebrations and cries of confusion from the other witches, the six lovers glanced at Constanze's phone as she took a photo of the night that made history.
