Motorcycle

It was a quiet day in the Avengers Compound and everyone was doing their own thing, which meant Pietro was in Madison's room. The two of them were just laying on her bed together.

"We should go on a date," he told her.

"A date?"

"Yeah, I mean we haven't really gotten the chance to go on one since we got back."

They'd had dates when they lived with her father on the farm, but they'd hadn't gone on one since returning to upstate New York.

Pietro kissed Madison on the lips and said, "Be right back."

Madison expected him to speed out of the room, but he didn't. The more and more time they spent together, the more Pietro slowed down. Madison got up and got ready for their date. She threw on some black skinny jeans, a tank top, and her leather jacket Natasha had gotten her for her birthday. She finished the look off with black boots, a high ponytail, and smoky makeup.

"Okay, ready to go?" Pietro asked, entering her room. He'd changed from his sweatpants and hoodie to his typical outfit of black jeans, sneakers, and his windbreaker jacket. His mouth dropped open when he saw Madison. He very rarely got to see her all dolled up since most of the time she was too exhausted from missions to even think about putting makeup on. Of course she didn't really need it, but if she wanted to put makeup on he was going to let her. "You look absolutely amazing, Kolibri." He kissed her on the cheek and took her hand.

They walked out to the front driveway and Madison saw Steve's motorcycle sitting there.

"Before you ask, no I didn't steal it. Steve said I could borrow it," Pietro said. Pietro mounted the bike and Madison got on behind him.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and nuzzled his neck with her face.

"Madison…" he warned her.

Madison placed a kiss on the base of his neck before straightening up. "No helmets?" she asked, "Better not crash then."

"Better not fall off."

Madison rolled her eyes. "C'mon. I'm hungry."

"Your wish is my command, Kolibri." Pietro put his foot on the gas and they rode out of the compound.

It was nicer with no helmets. Madison loved feeling the wind in her hair. Now she understood why Pietro liked to run everywhere.

Lunch was pleasant.

They ended up going to a burger place in the neighboring town, since it fit their personalities better than some fancy restaurant.

Pietro asked her about her family and nieces and nephews. They both agreed that they should visit soon, since little Nathan had a thing for Pietro and Lila was almost always glued to Madison's side.

It was nice to feel like normal young adults every now and then. When they weren't on missions, they were usually sleeping.

Sometimes Madison wished they had stayed on the farm. Maybe they would've eventually gotten married and had children. Madison wanted a family more than anything in the world, but she had seen firsthand how hard being an Avenger and raising a kid could be.

Pietro went to go pay the bill while Madison went to the bathroom. When Madison came out, Pietro was leaning up against the bike checking his phone.

Madison quickly took out of her phone and snapped a picture, setting it to her phone background. She walked up to him and he wrapped his arms around her waist. "We should do this more often," she told him.

"Definitely. So, I was thinking…"

"Oh, no," Madison teased. She giggled as Pietro stole a kiss.

"Wanna race back to the compound?" he asked.

"You're on, Roadrunner."

Madison straddled the bike and revved the engine. "No cheating," she told him.

Pietro gave her a lazy salute.

Madison hit the gas and they took off.
