Once everyone was finished eating they sat back, but it was Brandon who asked, "Are we going to discuss what needs to be done in the next couple months?"
Dylan chuckled after he kissed Brenda on the head. "I told you that it would be Brandon who started this conversation off, Bren."
Brenda groaned as she glared at her brother. "You couldn't let one of the others start this talk off, Brandon?"
Brandon shrugged his shoulders even as he laughed. "Well, you should have known better than to bet against Dylan, Brenda. We have a lot that we do need to talk about though. Valerie, why don't you tell the rest of us what you told me while we were at the Peach Pit and while I drove us here?"
Valerie ran a hand through her hair and looked at Brenda. "Uncle Jim told me to tell Brandon that he would be seeing you in the next day or two, Brenda. He just knew that you were in town somehow."
Brenda chuckled. "Dad always knows when I'm close and I think that is because he actually took care of me more than mom did when I was a baby. It really doesn't surprise me that he knew I was back and if I had to take a guess he knows that I came back because I missed Dylan like crazy. You are more than welcome to bring him over tomorrow since it is Saturday. I would love to see him. What else did you tell Brandon?"
Valerie smiled and then sighed. "I will bring him by tomorrow because I know that he is worried about you. Aunt Cindy has been a nightmare since Brandon hasn't been coming home. She is pissed because you aren't doing whatever it is that she wants you to do, Brenda. Uncle Jim got so fed up with her this morning that he got in her face and told her to shut up and that it was no wonder why Brandon wasn't coming home. Kelly has had the nerve to stop by a couple times, but each time she has Jim and I have turned her away."
She snorted. "Your mother let her in once and I flat out told Kelly that if she stepped one foot on the property again, that either I or Uncle Jim would be pressing trespassing charges against her since we told her she wasn't welcome at the house. Your dad reminded your mother whose house the name was in when she tried to say something about us banning Kelly from the property. Unfortunately, Brenda, I don't think that you will be able to see your mother anytime soon."
Brenda sighed. "I'm not really bothered by that fact, Val. Mom and I haven't been close since she said some things to me a couple years ago. Mom thinks that she knows everything when in fact she knows nothing. The only reason dad was giving Dylan and I a hard time about being together is because he knew that if he didn't then mom would and it would be so much worse. There were actually many times where dad covered for me so that I could spend time with Dylan. Dylan just acted like he was put out by dad after dad told him why he was acting the way he was acting. It was actually dad who told Dylan and I that Dylan never really cheated on me with Kelly."
At that everyone looked at Brenda and Dylan with wide eyes but it was Steve who demanded, "What are you talking about?"
Dylan chuckled. "When Brenda was in Paris, Jim caught Kelly slipping something into my drink at the beach club. He told me about it and we decided to see how far Kelly would go. Jim and I told Brenda the night she got back from Paris. The whole time Brenda and I were supposedly broken up we were with one another when nobody else could see us. We couldn't tell any of you because there was a chance that one of you would have accidently slipped up and told Kelly without meaning to. Between Jim and my dad, we had plenty of time together without anybody being any the wiser."
Brenda blushed. "I just know that I still have a hard time looking dad in the eyes without blushing because of how many times he caught Dylan and I in an um embrace. Hell, I think Jack caught us just as many times if not more. Dylan never once slept with Kelly regardless of what she thinks and has said. Jack really couldn't stand Kelly and made sure to let Dylan and I know that at graduation when he gave up being in hiding because he could see the toll having to act like we were was having on Dylan and I."
Dylan rolled his eyes. "It was Jack who actually made sure that Brenda got a dorm when she transferred to CU. I found out when I talked to him today that he had tried to talk her into letting him buy her a house to live in. I told him that I would be looking for a house for us and he flat out told me no because he already bought one that he just knew Brenda would love. He will be bringing pictures of the house by tomorrow."
Brandon shook his head and laughed. "I always suspected that Jack wasn't as dead as we were led to believe. I'm glad for your two's sake that he is alive. So, I take it that Jack knows about the babies then?"
Brenda nodded as she looked at her brother. "The doctor I was seeing in Minnesota was actually a friend of Jack's. Honestly, I didn't even suspect that I was pregnant, but Jack convinced me to go and see his friend after I was sick for three weeks straight."
Donna laughed. "That is just like you, Brenda. At least you weren't completely alone then. I'm happy to know that Kelly didn't succeed like she had thought she did on breaking you two apart. I hated seeing you so down while we were in high school because I always felt like nothing I did could cheer you up."
Dylan snickered. "Bren was a very good actress. I say that because even though I knew that she was acting I sometimes bought into her act. Dad thought it was hilarious and so did Jim. I think they actually got some recordings of the performances we put on for everyone's benefit."
Brenda snorted. "I know that they did. Are there any other questions?"
Steve cleared his throat. "When Dylan would disappear before you came home, Brenda, did he come to see you? I just know that about once a month for the last couple of months he would leave to go somewhere for a weekend."
Brenda grinned. "He would and during the weekends that he was with me we were just catching up on what was going on while apart. When I stopped talking to Dylan a little bit ago because of what Kelly did I couldn't help but believe her for that week or so that I did. I knew logically and with my heart that he didn't cheat on me, but my head was a completely different story no matter what I told myself. At that point I was going through a rough spot with my pregnancy and my hormones were getting the better of me."
Andrea groaned. "I remember how my cousin was when she was pregnant and that was with her only carrying one baby. I'm going to assume that your hormones are going to be even more out of whack since you are carrying three babies."
Brenda smirked. "Are you sure that you don't know about the hormones because you, yourself are pregnant, Andrea?"
Andrea blushed. "I was going to tell everyone in the next couple weeks. I'll be going through my pregnancy alone because Jesse left to go to New York once he found out I was pregnant."
Brandon's eyes flashed with anger. "You will NOT be going through your pregnancy alone, Andrea. Jesse had best hope that I don't see him anytime soon. How in the hell could he just leave you like that?"
Andrea shrugged. "It's alright, Brandon. I know that I should be angry that he left like he did, and I am to an extent, but I don't love Jesse and I would rather not push him into something neither he or I want."
Donna smiled softly at Andrea. "You have all of us, Andrea."
Dylan nodded. "You are more than welcome to move into the house dad bought Brenda and I, Andrea. I know for a fact that it is big enough for all of us. Besides Brenda will be living here until after she gives birth to the babies since John wants her close by."
Andrea's eyes widened in shock. "No, I can't move into your guy's house."
Brenda narrowed her eyes at Andrea. "You can, and you will, Andrea. I like the idea of you living with us once I give birth. Our babies can grow up together."
Dylan smirked. "After all, they will eventually be cousins."
Brandon rolled his eyes. "Real subtle you two. I think that Dylan and Brenda really want you to move into their house, Chief, and I think that you should do it. You don't need to be living in a dorm where there are way too many people around that could end up accidently make you fall down a flight or two of steps."
Valerie grinned. "You might as well give in, Andrea, because you won't win this fight. I know that look on Brenda's face and she is set on having you move into their house."
Andrea sighed. "Alright, Brenda and Dylan, you win!"
Brenda smirked. "I knew that I would. Alright, let's talk about something lighter now."
Everyone nodded and did just that. They spent the rest of the evening and late into the night just talking and catching up. They all ended up staying in the guest house and falling asleep one by one after Dylan carried Brenda to bed when she fell asleep.
