Okay so it took my far longer to write this chapter than I thought and far longer than I would have liked, and because of that, I thought I'd give you two authors notes, this one here is filled with my excuses as to why this chapter is so late!

But before I get into ALL of that, I just want to say a big thanks to everyone who has shown their support throughout this story. So thank you for all of the reviews, once again they're lovely, because all of you guys are lovely. Also thank you to those of you who have favourited and or followed this story it means a lot to me!

Obviously, I did want to be faster with this update- I really hate keeping you waiting on me and I know that this definitely isn't a faster update but I do have good reason.

It has been a very busy time for me lately, which explains why (along with me just being shit) I haven't updated for so long- Oopps!

Reason number 1

I had to get my work done for university- which I did!

Reason number 2

I am being asked to star in a music video for a friend and because I love to perform I said yes!

He also wants me to help plan said music video so I am doing more work than needed- yay?

Reason number 3

I also joined a gym recently so I have been working out A LOT- I wanna make the most of my membership, I'm paying good money to use the gym, I'm gonna go all the time!

Reason number 4

I just had my birthday- which meant I had a really long weekend that week- I pretty much had a four day long birthday which was really cool!

Reason 5

I'm sort of working 2 jobs which are keeping me busy 6 days a week

So that's it for my excuses, they're pretty shit, but there they are!

P.S: HOW GREAT IS IT THAT IRELAND VOTED YES ON GAY MARRIAGE AND MRRIAGE EQUALITY?! CONGRATULATIONS IRELAND, AND WELL DONE ON MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION! :D

Nineteen

Boring, that was the best way that either of them could describe their Thursday. The ride to school seemed to be quicker than ever before, giving them very little time to show each other even the smallest bit of affection while Dani was driving (they always held hands whenever they drove anywhere, but that day it seemed that no sooner had they laced their fingers together than Dani was dropping Santana's hand.) They didn't even seem to have any time to talk to each other before the bell rang for their first class of the day, which unfortunately separated them.

Santana had only been away from Dani for all of five minutes when she saw her phone screen light up during her math class. She looked to the front of the room; just to make sure that her teacher, Miss Clarke, wasn't watching her.

The elder woman had a small vendetta against Santana, and had done for years, she relished in any chance that she got to humiliate the teenager, and she loved having even the slightest chance to yell at her in front of everyone. Of course, Santana was well aware of when, where and how this vendetta came to be. She wasn't going to lie about anything, she knew all to well just how rude she could be towards the other woman, she had often displayed her hatred towards the subject, as well as refusing to do much work. She'd admit that sometimes she deserved being yelled at.

But she also knew that if Miss Clarke caught her with her phone in class she'd confiscate it, and nothing was going to keep her away from her girl. When Santana knew that it was safe, she unlocked her phone and read her text message.

God I am so bored right now... I really wish you were in here with me. Don't get me wrong Quinn is great and I like her but she's not YOU! xxxx

To Dani
I know exactly how you feel baby but at least we'll see each other in glee though and maybe even at lunch? Please say yes to that one xxxx

That you will erm sure I don't see why I can't sit with you... I am sure that my friends will be okay without me for just one day :D xxxx

For most of the day, Santana and Dani had been separated in their lessons but that definitely hadn't stopped them messaging each other. Both of the girls had almost lost their phones during the day for using them during lesson times, but even then the threat of losing their phones hadn't stopped them. During lunch they hadn't been able to talk much either, people kept dragging them into different conversations, and they hadn't even been able to sit with each other, Puck had slid into the gap next to Dani the first chance he got, leaving no room on that side of the table for Santana.

They were now stood in the choir room; they stood close enough to each other for them to be touching without it being seen as suspicious. Dani swayed on the spot where she was stood, allowing her fingers to brush across Santana's hand lightly. It was all Santana could do to stop herself reaching out and lacing their fingers together.

Rachel was in the middle conversation about the song she had chosen for that weeks assignment and how she believed it perfectly showcased her talents, showing everyone just what she was made of when the choir room door burst open, slamming against the wall next to it. All of the girls, and Kurt, whipped their heads around to see Puck walking into the room.

"Bad news guys." He said with a slight huff, "You all remember that party that I'm supposed to be having for Halloween?" He asked, they all nodded their heads slowly. "Yeah well cancel it." He sighed, "My mom has decided that she isn't actually going anywhere this year... she wants to stay in the house, so we can't do it."

There was a collective groan around the choir room, from everyone but Dani. "Just have it at my place," she said with a small, half-hearted shrug, "We can still have this party, but it'll just be at a different address." she said smiling slightly.

"Your mom and dad won't mind?" Marley asked.

"Mommy and daddy Mitchell won't know about it." She explained, "They work like every weekend, have since I was fifteen," she continued, "So the house will be available for use... you'd be surprised at the things me and my brother and sister have done since they got this better job that has them in Columbus every week." She said with a smug smile.

"What kind of things?" Marley asked.

Just as Dani opened her mouth to launch into a story about when she and Adriana almost burned down the kitchen from trying to cook while drunk, Puck cut her off. "That doesn't matter," he said, "You'll seriously let us have it there?" He asked.

Dani nodded her head, "Yeah. Why not?" She said, "Just make sure you bring some alcohol with you. We don't have much in the house; my parents liquor cabinet is kind of empty, so I'll have to make a small booze run."

"You have a fake ID?" Rachel asked.

Dani nodded her head, "Yeah. I got it a few years ago when Adriana got hers, we went to get them together." She admitted with a small shrug, "One of our 'sister days'." She explained. "But I need you all to supply some too, I'm not made of money, I can't be responsible for getting everyone's drinks."

"Danielle, you're a total babe!" Puck said, "Like seriously, I could kiss you right now." Santana rolled her eyes, and looked away from the boy.

Dani shook her head slowly, "Please don't though," she said holding her hand up as if to push the boy back.

"Oh come on, you know you'd love it if I did." He winked.

Friday seemed even worse than Thursday had, luckily, it did seem to pass them by pretty quickly. Puck had talked none stop about his Halloween party, mainly talking about his costume idea, making sure that he told each and everyone of them a thousand times over what his idea was- just to ensure that none of the glee boys showed up dressed the same as him.

With Puck dressing like Sid Vicious for his party, he had relentlessly asked Dani to be his Nancy Spungen, and every time he asked, Dani shot him down, saying that she already knew what she wanted to go as and that she had 'no room to compromise'. Which, was a huge lie, in reality, the girl didn't have any ideas at all. She just really didn't want to go in a coordinating costume to Puck's.

Dani had remained grounded for the best part of the week, meaning that she didn't really get to spend much time with Santana, or where her mom was concerned 'Santiago'.The only time she really got to see the taller girl was when they were at school, and even then they couldn't do the types of things that Dani really wanted to do with her. Even if the task of acting like they were nothing more than friends was getting ridiculously hard for the pair of them.

They did however; stick to meeting up with each other in Dani's backyard when they knew everyone else was sleeping. They used this time to snuggle together under the thin blanket; Santana would lie down and would wrap Dani up in her arms, holding the shorter girl impossibly close to her body. When they were out there, they'd talk about random things, just like they always had, but they both loved this time they had with each other; it was a quiet time when they could just be them, showing each other any affection that they wanted to, with little to no consequences.

By the time that the weekend arrived, Dani's mom had finally lifted the punishment that she had held over Dani, (She'd said that there was no real point in her still being grounded, especially when she and Dani's dad were going to be away all weekend and not actually being able to check if Dani was sticking to the punishment or not). With the grounding being lifted, it meant that once again Dani's weekend would be wide open for her to spend some real time with Santana. Just the way that Dani thought it should be.

Friday night was spent how it usually would be for the two girls, with Santana going over to Dani's house straight after school and spending the night with Dani. Which meant that she had to use a lot of her self-control, when they were cuddled together in the shorter girl's bed. Especially, when she would feel Dani's teeth lightly graze of her pulse point before kissing it gently. Dani knew that even the smallest bit of attention to certain points on Santana's neck sent her wild, and Santana was sure that Dani did things like it on purpose.

When Saturday morning arrived, Santana was more reluctant than ever before to leave Dani's house so that she could see her abuela, and like usual, Dani had tried to convince Santana to stay with her all day and ditch her family to be with her.

After Santana had left the house, Dani spent her Saturday morning the same way she always would, running, once she'd got home, showered and taken a power nap for an hour, she started to think about doing something productive; she unnecessarily cleaned her room, then re-strung her guitar- backwards to how she usually would so that Santana could use it later that day, then she settled down to do some drawing, Dani's Saturday would only have been better if Santana had been there to spend the day with her.

However, Santana's day had been far less enjoyable than her girlfriend's, she'd had to rush out of Dani's house, to make sure that she would be there on time for her abuela arriving.

In true Alma Lopez style, as soon as she had got to Santana's house, the judging had begun; Santana sat silently, just like she always did. She never really joined in with conversations, she never knew how to, not unless a question or statement was directly aimed at her.

All of the things Alma had to say included someone from her bridge team or her book club, and if she was being entirely honest, Santana didn't really care what her grandmother had to say about those people, whether it was negative or not.

Santana's phone buzzed on her thigh quietly, she looked at her abuela, making sure that the older woman wasn't watching her, before she unlocked her phone, she smiled when she saw Dani's name on the screen.

She smiled whenever she was around Dani, or even thought about the blonde girl, it was involuntary, but she loved it.

Hey gorgeous girly how are things over there? xxxx

Santana was thankful for Dani's text, truth being told, things were pretty boring over there. They always were, Santana would much rather be spending her Saturdays with Dani over her cantankerous grandmother.

To Dani
Honestly? Lame! It's just the usual stuff, my abuela is being a bitch she's just gossiping about people that aren't even here to defend themselves… but we all know that soon she's gonna start bitching about people that we all know and love then she'll start interrogating me about my love life! It sucks! Anyway how are things where you are? xxxx

Santana was waiting no time at all for her response to come through from Dani.

Pretty boring too I guess. I'm just sat on my bed, doodling or trying to doodle but right now my head is pretty blank except for one or two things… give me something to draw?... and poor baby why don't you come over here you wouldn't be bored and I'd make sure you had nothing to complain about ;) xxxx

Santana's mouth dropped slightly, when she saw Dani's text, she quickly shook all ideas from her head and replied to the girl next door.

To Dani
Dani stop teasing me! I can't come!... and if you really wanna draw something, draw a cityscape… oh even better, draw an empire! xxxx

Once again, Dani's response came though almost instantly.

You can't come? Hmm I'm sure I'll be able to make you ;)… sure thing. I'll draw that for you. I just need something to pass the time until you get here and I promise you my mind will definitely not be blank when you get here… I have a surprise for you anyway! xxxx

"Santana!" The harsh voice snapped Santana's attention away from her phone while she was mid text. She looked up quickly to see her abuela's dark eyes boring into her face. "Every time that I see you lately you always have your nose in that phone." She shook her head and clicked her tongue in annoyance. "I might as well not even be here to see you." Santana sighed, "Who is it?"

"I'm sorry abuela." I'm not sorry at all, "It's just, Dani was texting me so I-"

"It's always him… is he the new boyfriend?" She asked. Santana wanted to answer that questions as truthfully as she possibly could. She wanted to tell her abuela that there was a new 'boy' in her life and this his name was 'Danny'; however, she couldn't exactly do that without her mom and dad knowing exactly who she was talking about, which she knew the blonde wouldn't be entirely happy with. So instead, she shook her head.

"No." She said, "We're just friends," she lied.

"Still?" Her father asked.

Santana nodded her head slowly, "Yes. Still." Santana knew how her mom and dad felt about Dani, she knew that her mom and dad would love her to end up with a girl like that.

"You know we haven't seen Dani in a while." Maribel said, "Any reason?" She asked, "Did you have a fight?"

"What? No." Santana said, shaking her head, "No erm, Dani was grounded all week, and it's only just been lifted," she explained, "That's why I went over there last night, and I'm going again tonight."

"Oh?" Javier said, "You got anything nice planned?"

Santana shrugged, "Apparently, Dani has a surprise for me," she said, "So y'know there's that."

"Oh… a surprise huh?" Maribel said in a slightly suggestive tone of voice, "And here you are telling us you're just friends." She joked, Santana opened her mouth to say something, before Javier cut her off.

"I'm hoping that isn't the surprise," he said, warning his daughter good-naturedly. Alma's eyes widened, to a size that reminded Santana of saucers.

"It had better not be." Alma said.

Santana shook her head, "It really won't be." She said "Dani is really not like that… it's probably just gonna be something stupid. It usually is."

"Hey Santana," Will said, "Dani's up stairs," he said nodding in the direction of the staircase, as usual, Santana could hear Dani singing along to her music as loud as she possibly could.

"I can tell." Santana said stepping around Will to get into the house.

"So what have you two got planned tonight then?"

Santana shrugged, "I don't know… Dani said she has a surprise for me… but y'know it's Dani… so that could really be anything." She said.

Will smirked slightly, "I'll bet she has a surprise for you," he said sending the older girl a wink. Santana shook her head slowly and furrowed her eyebrows at him.

"Why the hell does everyone automatically think that way?" She asked. "My mami and papi thought the same when they found out I was coming over here."

"Because. That's what you're probably going to be doing up there," he said, his smirk only growing. "You've been together for a while now... just try and keep it down, I don't need to hear it." He teased.

"Dani is your sister, it's gross that you're saying these things, please stop." Santana said shaking her head slowly.

Will's eyes widened and his smile dropped off of his face, "I realise how wrong it is that I said that now…" He admitted trailing off. Santana nodded her head.

"Good I'm glad."

"Just go right up, and never speak of it again."

"I'm planning on it." She said as she turned on her heel and headed up the stairs, she got to Dani's bedroom and knocked on the door, she heard the music stop and saw Dani's shadow move closer to the door.

When the door swung open she saw Dani standing on the other side wearing a beaming smile, "Hey beautiful," she chimed, "You okay?"

Santana nodded her head, "I am… are you?" Dani nodded. "Good." She smiled; she stepped into the bedroom and kicked the door shut behind her. She wrapped her arms around Dani's waist and pulled her in for a chaste kiss.

Santana pulled away first and smiled down at Dani, the blonde shook her head at Santana, "Give me another." She said, Santana nodded her head and leaned down to connect their lips once more, pulling away first again. Dani tried to follow the taller girl's lips and sighed in exasperation when Santana moved too far away from her.

She stepped back and took a long hard look at Dani, her hair was tied up in a messy bun on the top of her head, and she had a small amount of paint splattered on her tight, white tank top, and a pair of Denim jean shorts that were tatty around the legs and stopped at mid thigh- it was clear to see that Dani had made them herself by cutting up an old pair of jeans.

Santana scanned the length of Dani's legs, before she looked back up into her dark eyes, "What are you doing?" She asked pointing at Dani's clothes.

"I've been painting," she said pointing at the picture behind them, "These are my painting clothes."

"You have painting clothes?" Santana asked as she walked further into the bedroom to see a piece of canvas paper pinned to an easel.

"I do. Yes." Dani said, "But only because I don't want any of my other clothes to get ruined," she explained, "These jeans were ripped from way back when I used to do roller derby and I kept falling. So I made them into shorts, I wasn't going to ware them for anything else." She admitted with a small shrug.

"You used to do roller derby?"

Dani nodded her head, "I did... but after spraining both my ankles, and tearing ligaments in both my ankles, my mom made me quit." Dani said, "Not that she cared, she always hated me doing it; she always thought that I was too small," she admitted, "and this shirt is real old. That's why it's so tight."

Santana scanned Dani's body once again, "Trust me... I'm not complaining about how that top looks on you." she said shaking her head and smirking slightly. Santana couldn't get enough of Dani's curves, she hadn't been able to since the day that she saw Dani in her underwear and had seen what she was hiding under her clothes- and since that day, Santana had only wanted to see more of Dani.

"I did't think you would." Dani said with a small smirk on her face, Santana walked around the blonde girl, heading straight for the picture. Every time she saw one of Dani's pictures, she got increasingly more impressed with her. A small smile spread across her face as she looked at the picture of a sun rising over a cityscape, and a few faint out lines of other buildings, that Santana guessed to be the start of the empire that she had suggested for Dani to draw.

"This is really good."She said smiling.

Dani went to stand behind Santana, "Well thank you," she said quietly, "but it's nowhere near finished." she admitted shaking her head, "and now I have to stop drawing because you showed up." she said glaring at Santana jokingly. The taller girl leaned forwards slightly, giving Dani a good view of her ass. The shorter girl tilted her head slightly, a small smile made it's way across her face.

Santana shook her head, and stood up, causing Dani to sop her leering, she looked over her shoulder, just missing Dani's staring, the shorter girl had gotten good at looking away at just the right time so she'd never be caught in the act. "Don't feel like you have to stop just on my account." She said, "I've sat and watched you draw stuff before," she said, "and I really don't mind, in fact, I like watching you draw; the face you make when you concentrate is pretty sexy."

Dani weaved her arms around Santana's waist and smiled when she felt the taller girl lean back into her body, "Well, while I am sure that that's true," she said feigning arrogance, "I have something else planned for us, so I really do need to stop now." she said smiling. "I'm just gonna go get changed real quick," she said. She placed a quick kiss to Santana's bare shoulder before bitting it lightly. The small action made Santana let out a playful squeal as she moved away from the shorter girl.

Dani couldn't help but chuckle as she moved away from her girlfriend so that she could grab a change of clothes.

As she walked past Santana, she could see the dark haired girl had once again leaned over so she could get a better look at Dani's drawing. Dani slapped Santana's ass lightly as she made her way to the bathroom, Santana stood up quickly and spun around on her heel, she had a small smirk on her face. "You know something Dan?" She asked, "Not everyone likes their ass being touches as much as you do."

Dani gave her a devilish grin and a wink as she backed out of her bedroom.

"You're just getting this wrong on purpose now," Dani said shaking her head slightly, "Like, I can literally see you trying to get it wrong just to annoy me." She sighed, "I gotta tell you babe, it's fucking working," she shook her head again; "Seriously, none of this is cute… in anyway."

"I'm not trying to get this wrong, I literally just can't do it… you've been playing one of these things for how long now?" Santana asked, "I have never played one of these, and now you just expect me to be good at it? Seriously, never become a teacher, you're mean when you try and teach people things."

"Santana, I haven't been playing one of these things for that long," she said, "and I sort of taught myself most of what I know anyway." Dani said, "I have a hundred percent success rate when it comes to my teaching, I'll have you know." She said sarcastically.

"Well actually now, it's more like fifty percent."

"Hmm, well until you became a student I had a hundred percent rate of people thinking I was a great teacher, so maybe you're the problem." She joked.

"Maybe I think this is a shitty idea." Santana snapped.

"It's not a shitty idea." Dani said, fighting her own corner.

"Yes it is." Santana hissed; she threw the guitar forwards, Dani's jaw dropped when she heard it hit the floor.

"Don't throw her on the floor!" Dani yelled.

"It's just a guitar, Dani!"

"I don't care, it wasn't cheap and I don't come into your room and throw things around, it'd be pretty hard for me to, I'd have to try and find it in all the mess first," she said, she knew it was a low blow, but still, it was true.

Santana was slightly taken aback by how annoyed the shorter girl seemed to be over all of this. She'd only ever seen her mad once before, and that was when they had their small spat over what Puck had said about Santana being on the rebound and using Dani, but that had been nothing compared to how strained Dani's voice seemed to be right now.

Santana would be lying if she said that she didn't find agitated and mad Dani sexy, because she definitely did. But, she'd just prefer it if she wasn't taking her anger out on her.

"Dani are we seriously gonna sit here and have a domestic over a guitar?" Santana asked furrowing her eyebrows.

Dani nodded her head slowly, "We were gonna, yeah." She said realising how ridiculous it sounded now that Santana had brought it up. "Though, I do think it was more about principle than anything else, but you throwing my guitar down was the straw that broke the camels back." She admitted.

"Yeah, I know." Santana mumbled.

"I'm sorry," Dani said, "I won't overreact like that again."

Santana nodded her head, "You really do overreact to a lot of things." She said, "I mean, I really thought we'd be one of those couples that didn't fight… and we were fighting before you even became my girlfriend."

"All couples fight Santana… and we haven't had a proper fight yet… just little ones, that have been easily fixed." She said. "Now please pick Rose up and put her away, she shouldn't be on the ground like that."

Santana nodded her head and did as she was asked, she stood up slowly grabbed the guitar and placed on the guitar stand next to Steve's "Honestly, I don't know if I even want you to teach me anymore… can't I just watch you and sing instead?" she asked, she turned around to see Dani laying on her bed with her eyes closed. "I like watching you play and hearing you sing."

Dani shook her head slowly, "No… you told me that you wanted to learn… that same day I made a promise that I could have you playing at least one song before the end of senior year… I make good on my promises, Santana, that's something you need to learn."

"Well," Santana said drawing out the word, "I guess that I'm okay with that," she said. She twisted her mouth in thought until she saw an opportunity that she decided she was going to grab with both hands while she had the chance.

She walked over to Dani's bed slowly, "You're going to have to be okay with that," she said with a small shrug. Santana sighed before she sat on Dani; she kept her legs on either side of her so she was trapping the shorter girl. Dani didn't even try to fight the smile that spread across her face when she felt Santana lower herself onto her; she knew it would be losing battle if she did.

"You know," Santana said, she leaned forwards and placed a soft kiss on Dani's lips, "we might not be doing what you had planned for us," she said, kissing Dani again, "but I can think of something for us to do," she said, her lips ghosting over Dani's. Santana pulled away and smiled when she saw Dani trying to follow her lips, Dani opened her eyes and sat up slowly.

"Yeah?" She said smirking slightly, Dani placed her hands on Santana's thighs and rubbed them gently, inching her hands further and further up Santana's legs. "What would that be?"

Santana's smile grew as Dani's hands moved higher and higher, "Well, I was thinking, that since we have nothing better to do…" she said, with a small shrug, "That we could…" she said smirking, "go for a drive." She said, Dani gave her a bemused smile; she definitely hadn't expected the conversation to go in that direction. "Like seriously, we just take one of our cars and we just drive for a couple of hours and go do something."

"You honestly, just wanna take a drive with me right now?" Dani asked; Santana nodded her head.

"Yeah… as well as doing something when we get there, but I don't know what that's gonna be… I'll buy you McDonalds?" she said with a small smile.

"Okay," she said, "We can do that if you really want to." she said, she pecked Santana's lips three times in a row, on the third kiss, Santana deepened the kiss applying a small amount of pressure onto Dani's soft lips. Dani broke the kiss sooner than Santana would have liked, "Can I ask you to do something for me?" Dani asked titling her head to the side slightly.

Santana nodded her head, "Yeah, of course you can," she said smiling at the shorter girl.

"Please get off of me now, my lower body is kinda numb," she deadpanned.

"Wow," Santana said rolling her eyes good-naturedly, "To think that I thought you were actually going to be nice to me just then." She joked; she moved off of Dani and lay down beside her.

Dani grinned, "I'm always nice to you," she said. She tapped the tip of Santana's nose lightly with her finger and chuckled when Santana screwed her face up. She quickly kissed the creases on the bridge of Santana's nose, before she leaned forwards and stole a kiss from her girlfriend. She pushed her self off the bed, so that she was standing up, grabbing Santana's hand to pull her up with her. When they were both on their feet, Dani laced their fingers together.

They walked down the stairs hand in hand; Dani had gently rubbed the back of Santana's hand with her thumb, until they reached the bottom of the stairwell.

She let go of Santana's hand as they reached the living room, where Will and Luke were sitting watching a Sports game, "Where are you two going?" Will asked, not even turning his head to face the two girls.

"We're taking a drive."

"Where?" He asked, finally turning his head to look at them both,

Dani shrugged her shoulders half-heartedly, "We don't know." Dani admitted, "We're just gonna see where we get to, you know just following one of the roads."

"Are you not scared of getting lost?" Luke asked.

Dani shook her head, "No." she said. "Its kind of impossible to get lost."

"Let me guess, you'll never get lost because all roads lead somewhere?" Will asked putting on a mocking voice.

Dani shook her head, "No." She said, "It's kind of impossible for us to get lost because I have a GPS in my car, so where ever we end up, to get home I just put our address and postal code into the system and we're homeward bound." She shrugged. "And if the GPS decides to be an ass, I'll drive until I find a motel and we'll just stay in there, I have enough money."

"I don't know how you have so much," he said shaking his head, "Do you ever spend money?"

Dani nodded her head, "Yeah, I'm just better at saving than you." She said, Santana gave her a small nudge, "Anyway… we're going now, so we'll see you guys later."

They quickly rushed to Dani's car, wanting to be away from Luke and Will so they could spend their evening together, and out of the house, having Dani on lock down for the week had been torture.

They both buckled their seatbelts as fast as they could, and as per usual, once Dani was strapped in she went straight to finding her 'car music' play list on her iPod, and as per usual, Santana rolled her eyes when Dani's music started playing.

There was little music on Dani's playlist that Santana actually liked. But, she liked Dani, and because of this, she tolerated the music that the shorter girl listened to.

It was when one of the many songs by Strawberry Switchblade came on that Santana decided she was going to say something, anything, just to help block out the song.

"You know… I really do love the idea of us spending a night in a motel together," Santana said smiling slightly; she placed her hand on Dani's thigh and gave it a light squeeze.

"San, that's only happening if we need to." She said trying to concentrate on the road ahead of them, rather than on the girl next to her, "I'm not gonna lie, I'm actually hoping we don't need to."

"Why?" Santana asked, moving her hand away from Dani, "Do you not wanna spend the night with me or something?"

Dani sighed, "Don't be ridiculous, Santana… of course I want to…" She said.

"But?" Santana asked giving her a knowing look.

"But… I just…" Dani sighed and shook her head slightly, "I don't know," she admitted, "I guess this is just me, being me," she said, she glanced at Santana and smiled, "It's not you…" she said, "I honestly can't wait to snuggle tonight, it's definitely one of the best parts of my week… I just don't see why we need to spend money to do it."

"Well, I can think of a few reasons, but you know the main one being that we'd have a hell of a lot more privacy." Santana said. Dani rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "What's with the eye roll?"

"The fact that you say you want privacy but we have that at my place… you just want to spend money when we don't need to."

"We have privacy, yes… but not as much as I would like."

Dani shook her head, "And we all know why you want more privacy." Dani said.

"Are you saying you don't wanna have sex with me?"

"No… obviously I do… but I just... I don't see why we need to spend money to do it when we do it… it's never hurt me doing it in the house before."

Santana rolled her eyes, "Fine… I guess I see your point."

"Don't pout." Dani said, "It'll happen when it happens."

Dani's eyes widened when they fell onto the large photo booth, she glanced towards Santana, the taller girl was looking down at her phone, Dani knew who she was texting, she'd never expect Santana to stop talking to Brittany, but she wouldn't lie, she didn't like that her girlfriend would still text her ex while they were out together. Dani sighed and started dragging Santana in the direction of the photo booth.

Santana looked up from her phone, "What are you doing?" She asked, a small bemused smile making it's way onto her face, she quickly placed her phone back into her pocket.

"Have some pictures with me?" Dani asked smiling at her sweetly.

"Uh..." Santana said, looking between Dani and the ever looming photo booth.

Dani rolled her eyes, "Come on Santana, don't act like that. We have no pictures at all with each other. I'd really like to get some. Okay?"

"Well that's not exactly my fault is it?" Santana asked, "We both have cell phones, you just never take any pictures of us." Santana said, "You can't really complain about it babe." She said, "and I would much rather take pictures of us on our cell phones than pay at least five dollars just to take some pictures with you." Santana said, "Because if they were on out phones you could also send me some pictures," she said smirking. Dani knew all too well what kind of pictures Santana was talking about receiving from her.

"Santana," Dani said in a slightly warning tone, "We're doing this." she said, "and also, I don't that picture thing happening for a long, long, long time."

"Fine." Santana said, allowing herself to be dragged into the photo booth by the shorter girl.

After Santana and Dani had put their money into the machine, and had already taken their first three pictures, (all of which they were very close together for.) Santana placed her hand on the back of Dani's neck, and brought her in for a kiss for their fourth picture. As soon as Dani felt Santana's lips on her own she seemed to freeze, for a split second she thought about kissing her back, until she realised that there would be photographic evidence of them as a couple, that's when the fear hit her in full force.

Dani pulled away quickly, "Santana," she said shaking her head slowly, "We can't d-"

Santana rolled her eyes, "Dani would you just relax?" she said, "Look, I'll take those ones... I promise you that no one will ever see them. Ever." Santana said, "We can take some more for you to keep, but I won't lie. I want some pictures of us, where we actually look like a couple." She said, "That and I did just really wanna kiss you." She said with a small smile on her lips.

Dani sighed, "I guess I can let this one slide then," Dani said good-naturedly, "Just, please make sure that we are the only people who know they exist. I know that you said you'd make sure of if but I really need you to make sure tha-" Dani was silenced by Santana placing a soft kiss on her lips.

"I promise you... I won't let anyone find them... even if I have to put these in my underwear drawer," she said, trying to reassure the girl.

"Fine." Dani said quietly, she nodded her head slowly, "Just please, get them quick," she said. Santana rolled her eyes and pulled back the curtain of the photo booth; she grabbed the pictures and showed them to Dani.

"So what do you think?" Santana asked.

Dani looked at the four pictures, smiling when her eyes found the last picture, it was easily her favourite. "I like them... especially this one." she admitted, pointing to the picture of them kissing, "So long as no one else sees them, I actually, wouldn't mind us having more pictures like this one." She said smiling at Santana.

Santana nodded her head, "We can do that." She said, "But what do you say, we take some pictures for you. Some that we can show everybody, and then we take some more that are like this one?" She said, "They will be for us both, but I'll keep them safe for now... and then, when you wanna be open about us, we cut them in half, you take two and I take two?" Santana suggested.

Dani nodded her head. "Okay." She said, before turning back to face the camera, Santana placed more money in the machine and started to pose with the shorter girl once again.

Santana and Dani walked down to their lane hand in hand, carrying their shoes in the other. "I haven't been bowling in years." Dani aid excitedly, "Seriously, I think the last time I did anything like this was when I was around fourteen," she admitted turning her head to face Santana.

"For real?"

Dani nodded her head and smiled at her girlfriend, "Yeah. Me, my mom, dad and Adriana and Will all went bowling, we used to go a lot on the weekends, but then mom and dad got their jobs in Columbus, Adriana started caring more about boys than anything else and me and Will couldn't go alone because at that time I couldn't drive… and we just haven't been since."

"Wow… I do things like this a lot… I'm not great at it, but I like bowling… granted I usually do it a lot closer to Lima, but I don't mind going out of our way to spend time with you… you're kind of worth it."

"Well good… because, taking this drive was you're idea." She said, "I would have been perfectly happy staying in my room all night." Dani said.

Santana nodded her head, "Staying in your room and snuggling does have its merits." She said, "but I like to walk around with you and show you off." She said.

"Am I just a trophy girlfriend?" Dani asked, quirking her eyebrow at Santana.

The taller girl nodded her head, "Yes… definitely." She joked, "I do like you though… a little bit."

It was Santana's turn to bowl, they were only halfway through there first game, but Santana already knew that she had lost by a landslide, there was no coming back from this defeat. Santana threw the ball down the lane, and once again, it curved off to the left, hitting one pin, but effectively knocking down two. Santana let out a low growl and stormed back to where Dani was.

"You suck at this game," Dani said laughing slightly. "I thought you came here all the time?"

"I do... and I don't suck." Santana snapped. "You're just freakishly good."

"Whoa, there's no need to talk to me like that… I didn't mean to offend to you."

"Yeah well..." she said, she dropped down onto the seat next to Dani with a huff, crossing her arms over her chest, and turning away from the blonde girl.

"Babe," Dani said chuckling, Santana ignored the girl, turning her head further away from the other girl, "San," she said, "What's the matter?" She asked, she saw Santana let out a sigh and and eye roll that screamed 'you should know, you're the reason I'm like this.' Dani twisted her mouth in thought, she let out a breath of air and said, "Don't pout," she placed her hand under Santana's chin and directed her face towards her own, placing a light kiss on her lips. "You're beautiful. Do you know that?"

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"It hasn't." Dani admitted, "I just thought that you should know." She said, Santana smiled slightly, "See I knew it'd cheer you up... anyway, grab a ball, it's still your turn."

They had played two rounds of bowling, Santana had lost both, though by the end of the second game she had gotten better. Dani of course had tried helping her, which had just resulted in Santana getting increasingly more frustrated. She didn't mind that the shorter girl would try to help her. But what she did mind was Dani biting her shoulder lightly every time she went to take a shot, which only resulted in the ball going off course and rolling slowly down the gutter.

There was little need to wonder why Santana had lost that second game.

They were now sat in McDonalds, Dani had originally ordered a large Big Mac meal, while Santana had originally ordered a regular double cheese burger meal when couldn't finish it (leaving most of her fries) Dani had finished them. Santana widened her eyes at the shorter girl and shook her head, "Dani seriously, where do you put it all?" Santana asked as Dani took a bite out of her second cheese burger.

"It all goes straight to my ass," Dani joked.

Santana shook her head and rolled her eyes, "Trust me baby, there is nothing wrong with your ass... I love it." Santana said.

Dani nodded her head, "Yeah I know you do... you don't ever seem to be able to take your hands off of it." She said laughing quietly.

"I'm not even going to apologise." Santana admitted, "It's only like you with my chest... you think I don't catch you looking at them?" She said pointing to her boobs.

Dani shrugged, "What can I say? I'm a boobs girl." She smiled, "Seriously San, they're the only reason I'm with you." She teased.

"Really?" Santana challenged. "Would it bother you if I told you they were fake?" Santana asked before she took a sip of her diet coke.

Dani shrugged and shook her head, "No. Wouldn't bother me one bit." She admitted, "Why are they fake?" She asked, quirking her eyebrow at the taller girl, she couldn't hide the smirk on her face as her eyes traveled down to Santana's cleavage.

Santana shook her head, "No. They're not." she said, "I just really wanted to know what you'd say if they were."

"Not a lot... I'd still love them, trust me."

Dani unlocked the door and stepped into the house first, "Hello?" She said, she looked at Santana while she waited for her response. "I'll be right back, you just go up stairs," She said, "Make yourself comfortable babe." She whispered, she gave Santana a chaste kiss before pulling away, "But not too comfortable," she said giving the dark haired girl a knowing look.

"Fine." Santana said rolling her eyes, she pecked Dani's lips before heading in the direction of Dani's room.

Dani walked to the den, and knocked on the door before walking in, "Hey guys." She said.

"Why do you always knock before walking in here?" Jonah said, "You're not gonna walk in on anything."

Dani shrugged "You never know. Sexuality is fluid." She said, "Anyway Will, I'm just letting you know I'm in, we're going to bed, you need to lock the door when you're done down here."

"So Santana's here again?" Kyle asked, Dani nodded her head, "Damn that girl's hot."

"Yeah," Jonah and Will all agreed simultaneously. Luke said nothing, he sat in silence, looking up at the blonde girl.

Dani glared at Will and shook her head slowly, "What? You're gonna try and deny it?" Kyle asked.

No! I am definitely not denying it... yeah she is hot, and she is mine, not yours, not Jonah's, and definitely not Will's, she's mine. I am so fucking lucky seriously. "Well no," Dani said, "because she's pretty I guess." Dani said with a small shrug, once again down playing her attraction to the taller girl.

"You guess she's 'pretty?'" Jonah asked, "Jesus, Dani, I know you're a girl and all but come on you've got eyes." He said. "If you were gay you'd total fuck that girl. You can't deny it."

Dani smirked slightly, and nodded her head, "Yeah. I guess." She said.

"Stop guessing," Kyle said, "Just be honest, this is a safe zone, what happens in the den stays in the den."

"See. That's the reason I knock... I never know what the four of you will be doing." She joked with a small shrug. "Look anyway, as thrilling as this conversation about my gir... about Santana is, I am gonna go to bed." She said, "So good night boys," she chimed as she walked out of the den. She could feel them watching her with confused expression at her minor slip of the tongue.

She all but ran up the stairs, feeling more than eager to get back to Santana and continue their night. She didn't really have anything else planned. Her plans of teaching Santana how to play Mr Rock and Roll by Amy McDonald were gone.

She got to her bedroom door and pushed it open slowly, not wanting to walk in on Santana if she was half naked, not that she'd mind seeing Santana like that. She just wanted the taller girl to have some privacy. When she opened the door she saw Santana lying down on top of the covers on what was now known as her side of the bed. She'd already changed and was sitting in her pyjama shorts and tank top. She couldn't help but notice that Santana still had her phone in her hand.

"I know something you don't know," Dani said in a sing song style voice as she walked into the bedroom. When Santana heard the shorter girl's voice she looked up and smiled, before locking her phone and putting on the drawers next to Dani's bed. The small action made Dani feel ten times better about Santana being in contact with Brittany still; Dani wasn't usually the jealous type, but there was something about Santana and her closeness with Brittany that made Dani see green. Well, until Santana stopped talking to the other girl for her.

"What's that?" Santana asked sitting up on Dani's bed.

"Just that, Jonah, Kyle and Will think you're hot." Dani said, a smug smile crossed Santana's lips, "God knows why though, because I think you're hella ugly." She teased, Santana gave her an unamused look, which made Dani roll her eyes, "I'm kidding... you know I am. I constantly call you gorgeous, or beautiful... there's reasons behind that you know?"

"Good." Santana said, she stood up as she saw Dani walking towards the bed and met her halfway between the door, and the queen sized bed. She hooked her fingers into the belt loops of Dani's jeans and pulled her closer so that she could connect their lips in a chaste kiss. "Thank you for a really nice date night." Santana said.

"You're welcome," Dani said smiling, "Though shouldn't I be the one thanking you?" Dani asked, "You paid for everything, all I did was drive us there." She said.

"You can thank me if you really want," Santana said with a small shrug.

Dani leaned up placed a quick kiss on Santana's lips, "Thank you." She said quietly, "So… I'm wondering, what do you wanna do tomorrow?"

Santana twisted her mouth in thought, "Honestly, I don't know… all I know is, I haven't been able to spend much time with you recently because you went and got yourself grounded, so I just wanna spend time with you… why you go some ideas?"

Dani shrugged, "Not really," she said, "I am kind of thinking we should just have a lazy Sunday together though, if you're up for it?"

Santana rested her forehead on Dani's, "Well, what would this lazy Sunday with you include?" Santana asked.

"Watching Netflix, possibly some shitty movies, depends what we find... we could do some baking again, but y'know, actually get it finished this time..." she said with a small smirk on her lips, that Santana removed with a chaste kiss, "Mainly, I think tomorrow is just gonna include a lot more of that, cuddles in my bed and junk food."

Santana nodded her head, "That sounds great," she said with a small smile, she leaned down and connected their lips once more.

Dani smiled into the kiss and brought her hands up onto either side of Santana's face, she slipped her tongue into Santana's mouth, relishing in the quiet moan that the action drew from the taller girl. Dani started to walk forwards, pushing Santana in the direction of her bed. The brunette pulled away slightly when she felt her legs hit Dani's bed, she quickly connected her lips to Dani's, just as the shorter girl pushed her onto the bed.

Dani hovered her body over Santana's, until the taller girl grabbed Dani's hips lightly, and pulled her closer, Dani placed her legs on either side of Santana and straddled the girl. She moved her kisses away from Santana's mouth, and trailed them down her jaw line and her neck, she left soft kisses on Santana's skin, which soon turned into light nips and sucks, Santana's hands became tangled in Dani's blonde hair, as more soft moans left her mouth.

She started working her way down once again, until she reached Santana's clavicle, where she started to nip and suck at the skin harsher than before, leaving a mark on her girlfriend for the first time.

She kissed the spot on Santana's neck one last time before pulling away and seeing that the surface of Santana's skin had already started to change colour, she connected her lips to Santana's once more as she slid her hands underneath Santana's shit, she moved her hands upwards, stopping at her ribs before she dragged her nails down Santana's skin slowly, making the other girl shiver.

Santana wrapped her arms around Dani's waist and flipped them, with the movement, Dani's shirt rode up slightly, exposing the skin of her toned stomach, allowing Santana to quickly move her kisses to the exposed skin. She kissed her way down Dani's stomach, alternating between soft kisses and light nips. She couldn't help but smirk at the sounds of the quiet gasps and moans that she was drawing from the other girl.

Santana bit the skin near Dani's hip bone before kissing her way down to the waist band of Dani's jeans, she stopped her movements and placed her hands on the button of the shorter girl's jeans, then she looked up at Dani, and her hands stilled; Dani's body seemed to say 'go' but there was something in her dark eyes that let Santana know that she wasn't one hundred percent sure about going any further. Santana sighed, she dropped her head onto Dani's toned stomach. She placed one last kiss on the warm skin before she moved upwards and gave Dani a passionate kiss.

She rolled over and laid on her side. Dani quickly followed her lead and rolled over so they could face each other. "Well... that was fun while it lasted," Dani mumbled, Santana nodded her head slowly.

"Yeah it was." She agreed.

Dani knew that the only reason Santana had stopped was because of her. "I'm sorry," she said quietly, keeping her voice just above a whisper.

"Why?" Santana asked.

"Because, you stopped... because you only stopped because of me... because-"

Santana shook her head and found Dani's hand, she laced their fingers together, just to have some form of contact with the blonde haired girl, "Dani, it's okay; trust me... I stopped for a valid reason," she admitted with a small smile, "I don't wanna push you to do anything, I don't want you to feel like you have to jump into bed with me just because I wanna do it." she shrugged, "You didn't look so sure that you wanted me to carry on... so I didn't... it wouldn't have been fair of me to."

"So you're not mad at me?" Dani asked, her voice was only just audible.

Santana shook her head and stole a kiss from Dani, "Nope... not even a little bit," she whispered, she brought their hands upwards and kissed Dani's knuckles.

"Do you think, that maybe we could just-"

"Cuddle?" Santana asked, finishing Dani's sentence, the shorter girl nodded her head sheepishly. "Yes, we can definitely do that," Santana said smiling, "'snuggling with you is one of the best parts of my week.'" She said in a slightly mocking tone. Dani cringed slightly at the sound of the words as they left Santana's mouth.

"Oh my God," she said, "Did it sound that bad when I said it?" She asked.

Santana smiled and nodded her head, "Yes, it definitely did," she admitted, "But, I like it when you say things like that." she chuckled.

Dani smiled and moved closer to the taller girl, she lifted her head before laying it on Santana's chest. The dark haired girl wrapped her arms around Dani, pulling her impossibly close to her body.

FACT!

The injury Dani got in this chapter from doing roller derby is something that happened to me (I never did roller derby, some women did once come across me at a sports match and asked me try try out for their team, but my mum wouldn't let me. With me only being 5ft 1inch and not being very big in build she thought it was too rough for me. My sisters were very jealous that I had the chance to try out for a team like it. Even though I was stopped by my mum :( )- I actually got my injuries from doing som filming last year. I was running, just running and went over on my ankles, we have it on video. My ankles quite literally bend to 90 degree angels- the doctors (and anyone who has seen the video) are surprised my ankles didn't just snap.

ANYWAY moving on from me and my clumsiness.

SO I HAVE SOME PRETTY GOOD NEWS! I HAVE COMPLETELY FINSIHED UNIVERISTY FOR THE YEAR SO I AM OFFICIALLY ON SUMMER BREAK UNTIL LATE SPETEMBER! WHICH MEANS THAT I WILL HOPEFULLY BE ABLE TO UPDATE THIS STORY A LOT MORE OFTEN FOR YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!

Even though I am working 6 days a week, I very rarely sleep well, so I'll just write for you on those occasions as well as when I have finished my shifts at work :D

I will probably start updating weekly/ every two week like I was at the very start of this story- I can't give an exact date of when to expect an update, I whish I could, but I don't work that way. I never know what I'll be doing one day to the next, so just expect some sporadic updates that will be a lot more regular than they have been from now until September (I've already started writing chapter 20 and it's not far from being done).

Anyway… THANK YOU! Once again, I am hoping to have the next chapter done for you by next week… but who knows, I don't… because I'm shit. Stay beautiful. :D

I am really happy that you liked it and that you thought I captured them both really well, I always worry that I'm not… and I am planning on writing A LOT more Dantana- providing people want me to… I am already working on about three AU's that I am just trying to strengthen, one of them is much further forward than the other two and will see Dani being related to another Glee character (don't wanna give too much away, just a bit of a teaser). As for what is happening with the whole Dani and Puck thing or as I am calling them in my own head 'Duck' I can't tell you anything about the whole thing other than don't worry too much, it's not gonna turn into some weird love triangle thing- but we will see a very jealous Santana through out this story- a lot… and it's a good job you live for drama… I'm pretty dramatic, always have been with the way I write, just had to write a script for university and the people that read it told me it was dramatic from start to finish soo… and also, thanks for calling me 'the bomb' been called a lot of things before but never that so thanks that's new :D… once again, sorry that I don't update much, but I'm just shit, and I am sorry about making you impatient you don't have to apologise for that, that one is my fault. :D
