Author's Note: Okay, I know it's been literally for EVER since I've updated this fic. Back in the day, I'd had three chapters written that were supposed to be published but the problem is those documents had been written and saved on a friend's laptop and that computer got destroyed, so those chapters were lost forever. But I know how I want this to go, so I thought "maybe I'll just write an update." But I read back the old chapters (which I wrote when I was 15) so the tone is…shall we say…INEXPERIENCED. So I'm going to update this fic, because I kinda still ship Kid Flash and Robin from Teen Titans (Which reminds me if you guys haven't read it, PLEASE check out melimsah's story Be Gentle With Me, which should also be on this website. It's amazing. If you guys are down for the tone of this to be completely different, here you go :D A super-duper-delayed-ass update to this story.

P.S.: To really get a feel for this chapter, I would listen to Take it Off by Kesha as you read it. Trust me ;D

Chapter 4

The night sky was clear of any clouds. Save for the brightness of the Titan Tower, he could see the faint echo of stars.

You were never able to see any stars in the heart of Gotham. Even at the Wayne manor, when all the lights were turned off, stars were hard to come by.

Robin stood stoically at the balcony's railing. Overlooking it all.

He'd promised. "What do you wanna know?" He asked the speedster.

Kid Flash leaned against the wall behind him, shrouded in darkness. "Why do you keep saying you're okay when you're not?"

Robin stiffened. He wasn't prepared for such a direct question.

"Remember, you said five minutes. Full access, VIP pass, the works," Kid Flash pointed out.

Robin sighed, tilting his head down and closing his eyes. "I wasn't exactly encouraged to express emotion," he said flatly.

"You were doing just fine earlier," Kid Flash retorted, a playfulness apparent in his tone. "Why do you keep staring off into space like you're not here with me?"

Robin clammed up, crossing his arms.

"Seriously. We beat the bad guys, we have new team members, we're at the hottest party of the century, and you still can't just relax."

"Easy for you to say. You're not gonna be here the next morning to clean up."

Kid Flash smiled, even though Robin couldn't see it. "I'm the master of evasive maneuvers, Robs, so you're gonna have to try harder than that."

Finally, Robin turned around to glare at him. "Look, my time with the Clown Prince of Crime messed me up, okay? Every day I'm fighting it. For myself, for the team…I'm doing my best to maintain normalcy and their faith in me. Because if they can't look up to me…what does that mean for the Teen Titans?"

Kid Flash's mischievous smile disappeared. "You're being too hard on yourself."

"That's easy for you to say," Robin snapped. "You don't have any pressure on your shoulders at all. You're not the leader of a team, you're not in charge of their safety, or maintaining the safety of a city all on your own! I am!"

He got up in Kid Flash's face. The young speedster could feel the frustration emanating off of him.

"I have a follow-up question," he said, staring directly into Robin's mask. "Do you prefer Zesti or Soder Cola?" he asked.

Ugh! This was what was so frustrating about Kid Flash. He was incapable of being serious. "I don't drink soda, its bad for you," he said in response.

Wally leaned a little closer, so their faces were just inches apart. "You know…being on your own, taking on all that pressure by yourself…it It doesn't have to be that way."

Robin noticed that Wally had leaned in.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"Even Robin, Leader of the Teen Titans needs a break sometime," he said softly. "And no one deserves it more than you."

Robin knew, on a cellular level, how little distance there was between him and Wally. But for some reason, he hadn't pulled away. Not even by an inch.

Was it because he took it as a challenge, and he refused to back down? No, it didn't feel confrontational.

The night air gently tossed around the firey locks of Wally's hair. The hair that framed his crystal blue eyes so well.

"What are you doing?" Robin asked quietly.

"Nothing," Wally immediately responded, confusion in his eyes. "What do you mean?"

Was he seriously that oblivious? Could he really not notice the effect he was having on Robin's body?

"To me," Robin clarified, finally pulling away.

But Wally put a hand on his shoulder to hold him back.

"You feel it too?" he asked, a sudden hint of shyness in his tone that hadn't been there before. "I thought it was just me." His eyes were hopeful.

And suddenly an excitement had built up inside Robin. Like a delicious, forbidden feeling. Comparable to when he'd borrowed the batmobile without Bruce's permission and before he'd gotten a driver's permit.

But this felt so much better.

Despite this, Robin didn't move any closer. "Someone could see us," he said, but the lie felt hollow in his mouth. Everyone was having a great time inside, still riveted by Orchid's performance. No one was paying any attention to the dimly lit balcony.

Wally didn't believe him. "Is it because I'm a guy, or is it Starfire?" he asked.

Both were logical reasons, but Robin realized neither were the case. "No," he said simply.

It was because if he gave in, he was forfeiting self-control. He never gave in to impulse, or relinquished control. Not to anyone. Not even to an increasingly attractive, red-haired speeding trickster like Wally West.

"It could just be a one-time thing," Wally whispered, his eyes half-lidded now. "It's a party. Things like this happens at parties all the time. We both had too much to drink, that's all."

Robin scoffed. "That's not exactly a selling point," he said.

Wally smiled. "Then we can do what we want because we wanted to," he said.

Robin did want it. He wanted to trust Wally. Trust him enough not to take advantage of him, or use his desire against him.

Blood Orchid was taking a break. They heard the eruption of applause as she concluded another song, and Take it off by Kesha beginning to play.

But Neither teen heard it. Just the sounds of their own beating hearts and shallow breathing.

"It's not because you're a guy," Robin admitted. "It's because I'm afraid."

Wally chuckled softly. "But the Boy Wonder isn't afraid of anything. That's your superpower."

Robin said the rest in a rush. "I'm afraid but I don't care." He pressed his forehead against Wally, making both of them close their eyes.

He pushed Wally against the wall and pressed his lips to his, finally giving in to what he wanted. Wally responded readily, kissing him back. He slipped off his gloves and gently tugged at the corner of Robin's mask.

It was a question.

Robin nodded, not pulling away for a second to stop making out with him.

Robin's mask was off and in return, he slipped off Kid Flash's cowl.

Once he finally got a look at his face, his heart fluttered.

Freckles danced across Wally's nose. He could very clearly tell that the speedster was self-conscious about them. "Yeah I have freckles, sue me," he mumbled, making Robin grin.

"I like them," he said quickly, before descending his mouth onto Wally's again.

It was crazy, like he was rediscovering hormones for the first time. Every time he brushed against Wally's body, or he touched him, his nerves were on fire, aching for physical attention.

Suddenly Wally's hand had descended to below Robin's waistline.

He couldn't help it. An involuntary moan escaped Robin's mouth, and he pressed into it.

Wally's laughed softly, biting his lip. "Is this okay?" he asked.

In response, Robin threw his shirt over his head and started ripping off Wally's shirt.
