Ch 2

"Jimmy, where are you going from here?"

"I'm not sure. I don't normally stay anywhere long, why?"

"I want to go with you. I don't have anyone here."

"You don't want to be with me. I'll just get you killed." Jimmy says.

"I can handle myself. I just don't want to be alone." She says. Jimmy swung up in his saddle. Chey grabs a horse and mounts up.

"Is that even your horse?"

"It is now." she says turning twords Jimmy.

"You are going to hang for that one day." he says to her.

"I'm not really afraid to die, Jimmy."

They make their way across the open land killing rabbits to make it day by day. They roam across the plains endlessly. They come to a winding canyon.

"Maybe we ran find a place to get out of the snow for the night." Jimmy says.

They make their way through looking for a place to hide. Rounding a bend, Jimmy hears small rocks sliding. He turns and sees guns pointing right at their faces.

"Get off the horse real slow like ya hear. "

Jimmy steps across his horse. He takes one of his guns out and pushes it in his saddle strap.

"Come on around here so I can see you, boy." The man says. Chey has her hands up.

"Put that gun down, girl." The other man says. Jimmy walks from behind his horse.

"Open that coat. Let's see what you got under there." Jimmy snatched his coat open. The men jerked their guns from Chey to Jimmy.

"Slow damnit." Chey walks over to Jimmy. He pushes her behind him.

"We don't want no trouble." Jimmy says. "We are just passing by. We will be on our way if you don't mind." He steps back pushing Chey to the rear of his horse. She steps over behind the horse and puts her hands on the saddle. She sees Jimmy's pistol poking out of the strap.

"You got any money?" The man asks.

"No mister, I'm sorry I don't."

"Put that gun on the ground boy." Jimmy slowly pulls his pistol out of the holster. Chey takes hold of Jimmy's other gun and cocks it slowly .

"Come on boy, nice and easy." Jimmy swings his arm up and fires killing one of the men before he could aim at the other, Chey had fired taking the second man down to his knees. Jimmy walks over and puts a second round in his chest. Chey hands Jimmy his gun and picks hers up off the ground. She takes a pistol off of the dead man.

"He want be needing this anymore will he?" She says smiling at Jimmy.

They find seven dollars on the men.

"Well, they had it coming." Jimmy says looking at Chey. She walks over and kisses his lips.

"We make a good team, Jimmy." She says walking to get her horse.

"I guess we do." Jimmy mumbles.

They stayed the night in the canyon and ended up in a town called Durango the next day. They find their way to the boarding house.

"We want to pay for a bath." Jimmy says.

"Sure thing mister, come with me please." The man leads them down the hall to a room with the tub. "Y'all have a seat. We will heat the water right now."

"Jimmy, I'm going to the store to get some marijuana I'll be right back."

Jimmy looks at the pipe hanging over the tub. Never seen one like that, he says to himself. A women walks in and smiles at Jimmy. She taps on the pipe and steaming hot water flows out of it filling the tub almost to the top.

"How did it do that?" he asked.

"We use a boiler to heat the water. We pull the plug and it fills the tub. It has the right amount of water in it. We only have one tub so there's no rush on filling it back up."

"You have four hours take your time." She leaves and closes the door.

Jimmy undressed and sits in the hot water. Just a minute later, he hears a knock on the door

"Who is it?" He said.

"It's me, Chey. I'm coming in." She walks in to find Jimmy sitting in a tub of hot steamy water. She pulls a chair over to the tub.

"I got something for us at the drug store." she says holding her hand out.

"What is that Chey?"

"It's marijuana. You never smoked any?"

"No, how is it? I never heard of it before. It come from Mexico?"

"It's good. It will relax you." She takes a small pipe from her pocket and packs it full. She lights a match and takes a hit from the pipe. The smell is strong in Jimmy's nose having never using it before.

"Here take a hit and hold it as long as you can." She instructed him.

He draws a lung full and begins choking on the smoke. Chey laughs and takes the pipe back putting the match to the pipe once again. She takes a long draw from the pipe and leans in to Jimmy blowing the smoke into his lungs

"Hold it."

Jimmy held it a while this time before blowing the smoke up in the air. She lights a new match. Jimmy pulls on the pipe inhaling the smoke a few seconds before letting it out.

"I feel it already." He says looking at her with a grin on his face. She takes a puff and hands it back to Jimmy.

"Here, pull as hard as you can." They smoke the pipe til it was empty.

"Well how do you feel, Jimmy?" Chey asked taking her coat off.

"I feel good. My chest feels like it's opening up when I breathe." He says laying back and closing his eyes. "I feel so relaxed, like everything is ok in the world." Chey steps into the water and slides her hands up Jimmy's chest. He opens his eyes looking at the ceiling.

"Hey you, I see you." he giggled . Chey laughs and kisses his lips.

"My heart is pounding." Jimmy says.

"It's okay. It always does that when you smoke." She slides her hands down his chest and back up again.

"It feels so good." Jimmy says opening his eyes looking at Chey's naked breast. "I see your boobies." He says.

Chey leans in and kisses Jimmy's lips. He kisses her back. She stands on her knees pushing her nipples in Jimmy's face. He reaches up squeezing her breasts while sucking her nipples. She leans her head back from the sensation.

"Jimmy, fuck me please."

Jimmy stands up his dick is so big that he don't even recognize it. He holds it in his hand. It's faster and longer than it's ever been. He bends Chey over and plows into her pussy. It comes to an end and they settle back down in the water.

"Let's smoke some more." Jimmy says .

The four hours go by fast. Jimmy and Chey walk out of the wash room feeling good, like they're not alone in the world.

"Let's go to the saloon." Jimmy says. Chey follows him into the door.

"Jimmy, go get a table. I'll be right there." she walks to the bar.

Jimmy finds his way to the back table facing the wall. Chey makes her way to him and slides down in the chair beside him. She pours herself a shot and slams the glass on the table.

"Jimmy, I heard two men talking in the drug store about a small fortune they were placing on the stagecoach leaving town this afternoon. They said it was headed to the bank in the next town."

"How much Chey?" Jimmy asked.

"Five thousand dollars." Jimmy pours himself a shot and puts the bottom to the ceiling. He takes a second one.

"Well five thousand dollars would do us good, don't you think." He says.

"You damn right it would." Chey says. They sit and talk about their plans of holding up the stagecoach.

"Let's take a walk by the bank." Jimmy says.

They see men standing around outside the bank. One comes out and loads what looked like a small bag of gold and what might be a bag of cash. The reins snap and the stagecoach takes off.

"Damn, we almost missed it." Chey said looking at Jimmy. It comes to a stop at the marshal's office and a third man climbs up on the buckboard.

"Three on two." Chey says.

"Let's go. We will get them in the dark tonight. They only have about a hour of light left. Let's go slow. We don't want to draw any unwanted attention." Jimmy says.

They head out of town riding slow as the sun starts to set. They make their way up to the wagon.

"Thats it in the distance over there." Jimmy says. They get down and hide in the bushes. They wait about three hours after dark. "Chey, did you get any of that cocaine at the drug store?"

"Yes I did, why?"

"I want some before we do this."

Jimmy snorts a large amount out of Chey's hand. She snorts some herself.

"You good?" She asked.

"Let's go." Jimmy says.

They make their way down in the bushes. Jimmy moves like the shadows in the night. He makes it about twenty feet from the men laying down by the fire. He holds his knife in one hand as he slips up beside one of the sleeping. He slides the blade of his knife deep in the man's neck. He never said a word. He thrashed his hands once or twice before giving up his ghost. Chey watches as Jimmy slides over to the next man. He pushes his knife between his ribs. He pulled his knife out and slices his throat. Jimmy jumps up to his feet as he pulls his gun and filled the last man with lead. Jimmy turns and faces Chey. She skips over to Jimmy.

"You did good, Jimmy. Let's see what we got." She says as Jimmy walks to the wagon.

They open the trunk and find a heavy sack. Jimmy grabs the large bag and walks over by the fire. Chey takes it and Jimmy goes back for the heavy bag. They sit down by the fire to warm their hands. Chey opens the bag and finds it to be full of cash. Jimmy looked in the other sack.

"This is full of silver, Chey."

"Let's smoke and stay in the wagon tonight." She says. They climb in and sit on the soft seats. "Jimmy, let's smoke again." Chey packs the pipe and lights a match.

"It smells so good." Jimmy says. She takes a second hit and holds the smoke before choking and blowing it out.

Jimmy takes a drag and leans back to hold the smoke. He chokes and starts coughing. He takes the match. Chey watches Jimmy's face as the match silhouettes his outline. The flame flickers in the dark. She moves over to his side of the coach. Jimmy pulls the smoke into his lungs, feeling the rush to his head as his heart picks up pace. Chey holds the pipe and packs more inside the bowl. They pass it back and forth until it was all gone. Jimmy's breathing was heavy. He feels his hart pounding in his chest. He takes a slow deep breath looking over at Chey. She looked like her mind was spaced out.

"You okay?" Jimmy says. She looks at Jimmy who was already giggling. "You look like you seen a ghost." He says laughing. She holds her hand up.

"We are ghosts in the night, Jimmy."

"My chest feels open as I breathe." He says rubbing his hand on his shirt. He takes a breath. "See what I mean." He says putting Chey's hand on his chest.

"All I feel is your heart beating hard." She says leaning back against the rest. Jimmy leans back and let's his mind drift away in the hours of the night.

"I should not be here with you." He says trying to hold his head up. His vision moves in slow motion.

"You're fine." Chey says putting her hand on Jimmy's leg . "Your just really high."

she says giggling. Jimmy can't help himself as he starts laughing.

"Where we going to go, Jimmy?" Chey asked. Jimmy doesn't respond. They sit in silence.

"We don't have to be anywhere." he says after a short time. "I just go where the wind takes me. No matter where I end up, bad things always happen. It's been that way since she was killed." he mumbled to himself in the corner. Chey looked over not sure of what he meant by that.

"One day I want to go see the beaches of Mexico." she says looking at the fire outside the stagecoach.

"We can do that." Jimmy says sitting up. "We can go down there and disappear. This money will last a lifetime in Mexico." He says as he blares his eyes open.

" I want to set by the fire." Chey says getting out. Jimmy follows her. He sits down by her next to the fire.

"We can do whatever we want to." He says softly looking at the dancing flames of the fire.
