Dark.
Darker.
Yet Darker.
I woke up in a dark void. It was like the Void, but, without the gray land to contrast the dark. The darkness was endless in every direction. There was absolutely nothing all around me. I could somehow still see myself in the darkness, though my vision was a bit hazy. I wasn't scared of the darkness, but there was something in it that did scare me.
The darkness keeps growing.
I took a step forward and found there was solid ground beneath me, though I couldn't see it, it was there. I gained the courage to walk on and did so at a steady pace. The sound of my steps echoed off into the endless darkness.
The shadows.. cutting deeper.
The darkness felt like it was cutting into my soul. I could hear something from it calling to me. The sadness. The hate. The confusion. The violence. The fear. The pride. I ignored it and began walking faster, in some desperate attempt to escape it.
This next experiment..
Where was everyone?
Seems..
Am I alone?
Very..
What am I suppose to do?
INTERESTING..
I stopped as I began to sense something different in the dark void. There was something else calling to me now. Something with hope, with light.
What do you two think?
I turned around and found myself standing before W.D, with Lillian's soul in his hands, trapped within a glass container.
"I'm not so sure about it." I answered automatically.
"Lillian has agreed to it, so I am afraid you are outnumbered." W.D replied.
Lillian's soul glowed brighter in agreement.
Was I.. reliving a memory..? I could remember this so clearly. This was the day W.D removed Lillian's soul from himself to experiment on it. This was where it.. all began. And Lillian had no idea.. None of us knew what would become of it.. I stared at her soul in W.D's hands. They were ever so slightly shaking. I looked up at him and could tell he was holding in his fear. He was unsure of himself. I don't recall noticing that before.. Heh, maybe because I was too busy thinking of how I was going to hijack his projects to use for myself.
"Well, I'm not going to argue with her." I shrugged and repeated my words from the memory, unable to alter the event as I was forced to relive it moment for moment. "You just be careful." I winked at him.
When I said that before, I didn't mean it.
"I have already calculated for any and all possible risks." W.D said factually.
Except for us going power crazy..
"Keep him up to standards Lillian." I told her.
Her soul rested peacefully and willingly in the container. I turned around leaving the room as I had before. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't regain control of myself. I wasn't given the choice to change this event.
As I walked away, I was finally let go from whatever force was holding me. And the memory faded away..
Pausing, I wondered what the point of that was. Was that realities way of telling me the past cannot be changed? Shoving in my face my mistakes? Telling me to give up? Or maybe.. to keep trying..?
I suddenly sensed something ahead of me, and looked up to find it was an anomaly. A SAVE point. It flickered in the darkness not far from me. I took a few cautious glances around before approaching it. There was some strange things happening here, so I wasn't sure if the SAVE point was real or another memory. I began walking up to it at my own accord, so I figured this was real. It grew brighter as I walked up to it, reacting to my WP.
I reached out to use it..
Semi LV 12. 35,740,800:33
?
Save Return
Where am I? And stars, am I really that old? I honesty feel older than that.
I glanced around again, thinking this was some trap. A random SAVE point, just sitting here, all on its own.. Right after a painful memory brought to life..
I went against my better judgment and reached for it with my WP to SAVE..
The anomaly shattered instantly.
Ah, heh, there is the trap.
A hollow laugh echoed around me from the darkness. It was the monster. Mastic Monstar, Mystrium had called him. I stepped around in a circle looking for him in the darkness, but didn't see anything. But I could sense his magic. It was stronger than I had sensed earlier. With his soul and the human's reunited, he had all his power back. And being both human and monster, he was no doubt capable of absorbing any kind of soul. And I'm sure the moment they did, the souls were corrupted, only empowering them more. From what I could tell by what I was sensing.. he had quite a few.
Did they get everyone.. but me..?
"I really, truly, must thank you.. Semi.." both their voices echoed out together. "Were it not for your pride, and your desperation, this day never would have come." they said. "You brother as well." they added. "For years, millennia even, he has taunted me, and closely tracked my actions, preparing for the day he would truly face me." they explained. "A shame really.. All those centuries of planning, only to end in immediate failure." they laughed. I sensed his magic drawing closer to me. "Now, everyone's souls are mine. And my own soul is restored." they said with increasing pleasure in their tone. "It has been so long since I could hold a solid form.." they sighed. "Ah, but there is still one piece missing.. you." they said with some anger. "I have only six of the needed souls, the last, your soul of pride, is all that remains." their voices grew closer.
"You got everyone else than..?" I asked in a whisper.
In the darkness above me, two bright white eyes flashed open and gazed at me. I stepped back away from them.
"I have even a soul of Resoluteness." their voice came from the eyes. "Those that have escaped, such as you- their resistance will not last much longer." they said, holding back anger in their tone.
There's others? Who-
"Don't count on it pal." Sans walked up beside me, standing confidently with his hands in his pockets.
"You're not hurting my friends!" Frisk came up on my other side.
"You cannot stop us as long as we don't give up!" Papyrus proclaimed from behind me.
And.. that's it..? Just us four are left? How did they not get caught? How did I not get caught come to think of it.
The eyes grew closer for a moment, wide open, staring down at us, then moved away as they narrowed.
"I have the souls I need. Theirs are no longer necessary." they stated, unimpressed with the others bravery. "So I shall not bother trying to corrupt them. I will merely wipe them from existence!" the ground shook. "Once I have YOUR final corrupted soul, I will become GOD of this world! As ordained by the stars!" they proclaimed.
"More like a demon.." I stated.
"You will not be making such remarks once I have your soul, monster." they growled, their eyes looking right at me. "This world, of both humans and monsters, will cave to my rule." they stated.
"You got to get past us first." Sans stood ready with his brother.
Frisk grunted in agreement as they stood ready with the Star Blade.
"Such stubborn bravery." they replied, their eyes peering at us closely. "But I can sense your suppressed fear.." the eyes drew closer. "You are at a lose as to what to do. Sadness is seeping into your very soul." the eyes looked at Sans. "And there it is.." they turned to me laughing."PRIDE. Pride refusing to let go of a victory you will never receive." they said with joy.
My pride.. It was swelling up. But it wasn't the same. It had a new focus. It wasn't pride for myself. I felt proud of those beside me. I had real confidence, not in myself, but in others.
This.. isn't pride I'm feeling at all actually.. It's not about me or them.
This is my sense of justice.
I was fighting, not for my own reasons; for selfish reasons.. I was fighting for them. For the world that I could hear crying out for justice. Justice I have held back from executing for far too long.
Make the future better than the past..
I understand what W.D meant when he said that now. In order to make things better.. I have to be better. I can't ignore my soul anymore, I can't ignore my conscience. As mush as it hurts.. The future, MY future, everyone's future, needs me to be better.
I summoned a bone sword and stood undaunted before Mastic.
"You might want to double check that." I told him. "I'm not driven by selfish pride anymore." I boldly stated.
I caught Sans glancing my way for a moment.
"Oh? Is that so?" they replied curious. "Do tell what I am sensing than that is empowering you.." they laughed.
I searched my soul.. and found it was empowered by something much greater. Greater than any corrupted or pure feeling.
"Hope." I answered.
"HOPE?" the ground shook. "Hope is but a concept of the mind thatfeeds false ideals and rebellions!" they shouted. "I have seen this hope.. And I do not believe it will do you much good." they stated, peering angrily at me.
Frisk stepped towards them. So did I and the boys. I sensed their souls become stronger as their hope grew with mine. Maybe this is why he couldn't absorb our souls. They were full of bright hope.
"You think you are capable of defeating me?" they laughed with amusement. "You will last no more than mere moments against my power fools!" they shouted. "I have destroyed beings far more powerful than you. Even the Dreemur King Gore of old was no match for my might!" they stated with pride.
"He didn't have the Star Blade I guess." I replied.
"We do." Sans stated.
"Fools.. All of them FOOLS!" they shouted angrily. "The blade did not destroy mysoul before in their hands, nor will it this time in yours!" they proclaimed. "That fool Brianzar died with his hope, and so shall you!" they yelled out.
The eyes disappeared, and from the darkness, came a terrible form of a monster. Incomplete and corrupted in power and soul, the monster stood tall over us as its body became a lighter gray that stood out against the darkness. Their eyes opened again, bright contrasting white, and above them, caught in the monster's dark magic grip, were the corrupted souls. The monster's own soul, hate and callousness, rested between their eyes, distorting between a pitch black monster soul, and a sharp red human soul. Claws came crashing down on either side of them as their massive form rose from the darkness below. Diamond shapes appeared around them in a half circle, and solid darkness encircled us to trap us within a set area. There was no way of escape. Not that any of us would take it if it were there.
I focused in on the trapped souls while I had the chance. All of them were corrupted and empowering Mastic.
One, a dark purple and distorting between different shapes, must have been Mystrium's. Confusion.
Another, a bright pink, shivered in fear. Chara's soul I bet. Fear.
One other was a deep blue, and seemed to be dripping like water. W.D. Sadness..
There were two other human souls. Lillian..? How did Mastic take her from Sans? It took the Extractor to get her out of W.D! Though that was mostly because she didn't want to leave him. Her soul I noticed had a black scar run through it. With it being black, I assumed she must be corrupted by hate somehow.
But who was the other one? What other human did he have in his grasp? It didn't seem to be corrupted and looked like it was trying to escape. Could that be the soul of Resoluteness he mentioned? I thought he needed 6, not 7, corrupted souls.
My attention went back to Mastic himself as he roared out and slammed his massive claws on either side of us. None of us flinched from it, and held our ground.
He growled at us, because his idea to scare us didn't work. I grinned at him as he looked down at us, and that made him angrier.
His summoned diamonds struck the ground around us, shattering into tiny shards. We split up from each other and dodged them with relative ease.
His claws came down on us a few times, trying to crush us, but all four of us kept clear of them. He quickly changed tactics when he saw we were too quick, and rose high above the black wall he had surrounded us with. He moved along its edge as his eyes tracked each one of us, firing off dark magical attacks in waves.
I dodged the first wave and cut my way through the next in an attempt to get closer to him. As soon as I gained ground though, I wished I had stayed back. He leapt off the edge of the wall and came crashing back to the ground, sending out a shock wave on impact.
I quickly tossed myself up with magic to avoid it. The boys did the same, nabbing Frisk with them. As soon as I landed, dark magic spikes tore up from the ground at me. I managed to dodge them and took off running as they came up out of the ground after me. I saw another trail of them coming at me from the front, and quickly side stepped the two as they met, colliding into each other. More of them came up at me in bunches, one by one, trying to strike me through. I struggled to keep up with them, until I noticed a pattern with them. Once I had the pattern down, I could easily dodge them, and made sure to throw a wink at Mastic to taunt him.
His attention was fully on me now.
Good.
I began to casually dodge his attacks, frustrating him more, and giving the others the chance to do something. It didn't take long for him to change tactic's again on me. His diamonds changed form to red knifes, and they were thrown at me from random directions. I had a hard time keeping up with them, but Papyrus was quick to help me out by sending his magic to destroy some of them, giving me some breathing room.
Why would his magic suddenly change form? And into knifes of all things. As I side stepped them coming down on me, I began to sense and overwhelming fear from someplace. It was.. coming from the magic?
Chara!
He was using Chara's soul directly I bet, drawing power from it and causing the magic attacks to change form. Papyrus blasted more of them away, giving me a clear look up at the souls. I quickly spotted Chara's and reached out to it with my magic. Their corrupting fear was too strong for me to get my gravity magic through to grab their soul. But I refused to give up on reaching them. The corrupting magic fed back into me as I held on by my magic to Chara's soul. I held on, dodging more attacks as the struck the ground around me, and began to struggle to keep my concentration on them.
Frisk made an attack on Mastic, stopping his attack for a moment. Sans shot down the remaining attacks and skid to a stop next to me.
"Chara!" I mustered up my strength to yell out to them.
The corruption on their soul let up for a second, but only a second. I staggered from the feedback as it returned. But I kept trying to grab their soul and pull it out of Mastic's grasp. I wanted Chara to know I was trying to help them.
"You can't get them out of there Gramps. Let go!" Sans warned me.
"N-No.." I stuttered as I staggered forward. "You.. You need to get up there." I told him.
Mastic turned to me.
"You can't be splintin' serious.." Sans cursed under his breath as he took a step back. "Papyrus!" he called behind him.
I focused in on Chara..
Listen to me kid.. You can break free.. Break free from your fear..!
Sans flew up through the air towards the souls, having been tossed by Papyrus' magic. I quickly summoned blasters to cover him on his way up, keeping my hold on Chara as Mastic tried to pull away. Sans leapt between my blasters while they were still stable when he lost his momentum through the air, and got all the way to the top without trouble. Right behind him Papyrus tossed Frisk with magic, so I held onto my blasters to help them up as well. They landed on top of one and I quickly flicked it upward to toss them the rest of the way up. I panted from the feedback of the blasters getting hit and destroyed by Mastic's magic, along with Chara's corruption..
"Chara!" I heard Sans call out.
He grabbed hold of Frisk mid-air and tossed them forward with magic for them to strike with the Star Blade. They cut Chara's soul lose from Mastic's dark magic. Then an odd bright light filled the area.
I found myself surrounded by knifes that came flying at me without warning. I darted to one side to dodge them, but more of them came at me from nowhere. Papyrus snatched me up and took off dodging them with me in tow.
He tossed me away just before he got hit, and I hit the ground near Sans and Frisk who were fighting Chara.
"Chara-!" Sans held Chara back by their wrists as they tried to hit him with a knife. "This is your chance to make up for everything!" he told them. "Fight back.. against the real enemy..!" he struggled to hold them back. "Don't.. be.. a coward..! I know.. you can.. do it..!" he began to be pushed back. "You.. can do better..!" he strained to say.
I rolled over to get up and help him, but Frisk came up behind Chara with the Star Blade and slashed it right through them. Chara flinched at the hit and dropped their knife, and all the magic attacks faded away. They stood stunned as Sans held onto them.
"Chara.." Sans panted. "This is why you came here, wasn't it? To fight this monster." he said to them with an understanding expression.
They lowered their head ,and Sans let them go.
"Yes.." they answered.
"Why didn't you tell anyone? You could have gotten Asgore's help or something!" he replied.
Chara looked up at him with tears in their eyes.
"I didn't know who I could trust." they shook their head. "And once I knew them I didn't want to lose them..!" they cried. "I didn't want to die.." they continued. "But I killed them all.. I tried to be strong enough to save.." their voice trailed off.
Sans sighed. And quickly held them in a hug. But he didn't say anything.
"I'm sorry.." Chara sobbed.
"You trusted me Chara." Flowey came from Sans' hood. He looked around Sans' head at them as they looked up. "I'm sorry for never believing you.." his expression dropped. "But please.. Don't give up!" he told them. "We can stop this monster! Together! Just like you wanted!" he smiled, holding back tears. "Stay Determined Chara!" he winked and stuck his tongue out at them.
"Asirel.." Chara cried.
Asriel..? The flower..? What?
Sans struggled to.. let go of them..? I suddenly noticed Flowey's vines wrapped around his arms under his jacket. Flowey had forced him to hug Chara. Probably because he didn't have arms himself to hug them with. Chara suddenly shoved him off, and looked at me angry. I winced at their stare.
"I trust you. After you.. helped me." they struggled to admit, walking towards me with purpose. "Semi." their eyes flashed as they grinned.
"Uh, that's good to know but-"
"Shut it!" they held a knife in my face. "I have an idea. And you ALL better go along with it!" they shouted out.
"Put the knife anyway Chara." Sans warned them.
"You're just jealous Sans." they glanced back at him.
He looked this way confused.
Chara's soul began to glow a bright orange color. I no longer sensed fear in them. Their soul was filled with.. Bravery.
"Remember what I told you old man." they tapped the knife's blade on my head. "Don't die." they grinned. "Especially now." they added.
"Why's that-?"
The odd light that brought us here filled the area gain, and I felt a surge of power run through me. I fell to my knees from it, struggling to handle it as it overtook me. It was raw soul power.. Powerful soul power.. It..
It was Chara.
We're stronger together! Now go after that confused loser Mystrium's soul next!
I looked around and saw everyone here with me, all of us a bit disoriented. We all looked back at Mastic who we had returned to a he roared out in anger. He wasted no time attacking us with his claws, but I quickly summoned up a blaster with ease and destroyed his claws coming down on us.
My magic was doubled, no.. tripled! Maybe more! Chara's soul was more powerful than I imagined. Their thoughts, their memories, everything in their mind and life hit me like a brick wall. My emotions mixed with theirs as as our thoughts struggled to overcome each other. We had different ideas on what to do next, and nothing was coming into agreement.
A loud snap echoed across the area suddenly. I ignored it.
We better make up our mind quick, before Mastic takes advantage of this!
Fine! Do what you want!
Everything in our collective mind leveled out and we focused on Mastic. My sight locked on to Mystrium far above. We would free his soul next.
Mastic rose up again onto the wall and sent shattering diamonds at us. I and Chara's minds fell into perfect sync as we dodged his attacks. Our combined experience made them easy to dodge.
Circular waves of diamonds came at us next; we got through them just as easily. Then they came as thick walls at us. Frisk cut through one of them with the Star Blade to make a path for us.
The monster came back down, creating another shock wave we all had to get over, and tossed multiple shards of magic at us from above in the darkness.
I grabbed Frisk with magic and tossed us both upward over the shockwave and past the attacks coming down on us. We were high enough to be a straight shot from Mystrium's soul. I reached out for it with my magic, and had the same problem I did with Chara, with the corruption fed back into me. Mastic sensed me and tried to tear away.
I grabbed hold of Frisk and pulled them along with me as I tossed myself forward at Mystrium's soul.
"Rimmy!" I shouted for him.
Frisk cut through the dark magic around his soul, and the same odd light enveloped us.
We immediately had to dodge diamond attacks coming at us from every angle. They were coming at us at random angles, directions, and speeds. Some were even broken, or not even heading our direction.
This was definitely Mystrium alright.
"There!" Frisk pointed out in the distance.
I caught sight of Mystrium, standing a good distance away from us, standing awkwardly as he faced us in fear. Frisk and I made our way towards him, weaving through his randomized attacks. Once we reached him, he panicked.
"S-Stay back..!" he stepped back in fear.
"Mystrium! It's okay. Calm down." I tried to calm him. "It's me, Semi." I reminded him.
"We are not your enemy." Frisk smiled at him.
"You are human.. Bashri!" he shouted in anger.
"Please. We just want to help!" Frisk pleaded with him.
Mystrium looked at them curiously. I recalled something Brainzar had told him earlier.
"Trust your friends." I repeated his words. "Trust yourself and not what Mastic tells you." I added.
"How can I trust myself when I have be wrong so many times..?!" he stepped back confused and angry.
"Take it from a friend Rimmy." I stepped closer. "You're not as wrong as often as you think." I winked.
"You are not a bad person because of your mistakes." Frisk kindly said. "Believe me, I know that first hand." they smiled with embarrassment.
Mystrium winced in shock, then confusion, then anger, then sorrow, then anger again. Almost all at once. He was conflicted beyond belief.
"You have plenty of proof of that Rimmy." I told him.
"Proof..?" he stared at me puzzled.
"If you were anything like Mastic I highly doubt Gerson would have entrusted you with the Royal Guard, and I doubt even more that Asgore would have forgiven you for.. whatever it was he forgave you for back then." I explained to him, realizing I still didn't have the whole story of what happened to him during the war. "Also, if you were wrong all the time, a certain kid never would have looked up to you and followed your example of helping others and been inspired to join the Guard." I added.
He looked at me with wide searching eyes. He must not have caught who I was talking about.
"That kid being me." I clarified for him.
"You're just.. confused." Frisk said. "Let us help you. Together we can set things straight." they offered a hand to him. "I trust you." they nodded.
"Even though your crazy." I offered my hand as well.
Frisk nudged an elbow into my ribs for saying that, heh.
Mystrium lifted up his hand, but heisted to take either of ours.
"I-I.. I cannot betray the last of my family." his expression tensed.
"You can when they are wrong." I stated. "I know that's what moved you to help us earlier. It's what motivated you to fight him alongside Brainzar." I assumed. And hoped was true.
"Doing the right thing always comes first." Frisk stepped closer to him, still offering their hand to him.
Mystrium looked at them in disbelief.
Then fondly smiled at them.
"You are.. so much like him.." he softly laughed. "I can only hope.. you are as forgiving.." he hung his head low.
"Why do you think I'm offering a helping hand to you?" Frisk asked.
Mystrum chuckled.
"He said the same thing once.." he said fondly.
He took hold of Frisk's hand, and I helped them pull him up with my magic. As I grabbed hold of Mystrium's soul, I sensed it was free from corruption.
The strange light came again, and we were back on the main battle field. Sans and Papyrus were next to us again as well, and they seemed a little lost as they were moved from wherever they were when we were working on Mystrium.
"Wish it would put us together going in the same it does out." Sans said.
"Watch out!" Flowey warned us.
We scattered to dodge a wave of attacks from above.
The loud snap I had heard before echoed out again. I noticed Frisk react to it, taking a quick glance around for its source. Mystrium's eyes glanced both ways at the sound of it as well.
Don't worry about it! Get the other souls free!
There were still 3 more souls to save. One being my brother. I made him our next target, searching for his soul as I dodged oncoming attacks. Once I found it I kept my eyes locked onto him. I needed to find Frisk with the Star Blade to get him out of there.
"You traitorous son!" Mastic's angry voice echoed out.
His claws came crashing down, separating me from the others. Mystrium hurried up beside me with his pure white magic ready to defend us. We were the only ones on this side.
"You will forever be easily swayed by every word spoken to you!" he shouted at Mystrium.
"You would know.." Mystrium shook.
"You were as trusting as your father in me.." Mastic leaned closer down to us. "I believe it is time you joined him amongst the stars!" his magic came crashing down on us.
Mystrium blocked it with his magic, and quickly fired it off when the attack wave ended. Mastic roared when hit, and moved his claw from the ground. Mystrium boldly stepped towards Mastic.
"I would tell you the same Mastic." he said. "But I do not think our ancestors will welcome you to the heavens.." he stood ready with his magic.
Mastic roared out in anger and attacked Mystrium directly. I got out of the way and the others joined up with me.
"You are weakened without our souls! You cannot win this!" Mystrium shouted at him as he dodged waves of attacks.
"I have plenty of others that could easily replace you fool!" Mastic replied, rising up onto the wall once more.
He can't mean everyone else souls..
"Than where are they?" Mystrium questioned.
Mastic roared and sent out attacks from above, crashing into the ground creating shock waves.
"Go! All of you now!" Mystrium shouted at us before the shock waves reached us.
"Grab Frisk!" Sans ordered Papyrus.
Papyrus picked the kid up with the Star Blade and they took off, dodging the shock waves from the attacks. I saw Sans get ready to toss them up with magic, but I did it for him while I could see them. They picked up the slack, and while Mastic was busy with Mystrium, they attacked with the Star Blade.
They freed what looked like Lillian's soul, and the odd light erased the battle scene once more.
Thorny vines crashed up through the ground all over the place, instantly blooming thin petaled flowers that rolled off the vines like saws across the ground. Mystrium snatched me up and ran through the vines and flowers with ease, blocking them off and cutting them down with his magic as he raced towards the others ahead of us.
"No!" I heard a young voice cry out.
Frisk was knocked back onto the ground. Papyrus was quick to block an oncoming flower to protect them. Once we were close enough, I saw Sans standing before what looked like a little human girl.
Lillian..?
"Lillian. Stop this!" Sans held his hands out to calm her. "Your hate is hurting you again. Let. It. Go." he sternly told her.
"No..! I refuse to give up!" she replied.
"I'm not asking you to give up girl." he told her. "Just chill." he said.
"I'm not losing anyone else to that monster!" she screamed out.
Vines crashed up out of the ground all around her. Mystrium stepped back in fear as I got free of his grip.
"Lillian!" I called out to her.
Her haze covered face looked right at me.
"You have to overcome this in order for us to help you! To help everyone else!" I told her.
"You're the one who got them there in the first place!" she yelled at me, causing vines to shot out of the ground and come barreling at me.
I was knocked back into a clump of vines that quickly wrapped around me and crushed me.
"I might just hate you more than I hate that monster..!" she was suddenly near me. "You and W.D both were..!" she stopped, crying.
"Idiots?" W.D's voice suddenly came.
Lillian turned towards him, her hate filled anger not fading. He stood, weakened, his body and soul still flickering as it distorted from being in pieces. He struggled to step closer. From his eye sockets fell tears, staining his bone under his eyes,
"Please.. do not blame Semi for that.." he strained to speak. "That.. THIS.. is all my fault.." I could see him shivering.
Papyrus cut me loose from the vines, while Sans snuck up on Lillian and grabbed her. Frisk swung the Star Blade through W.D, and he gasped from the hit. Then softly laughed.
"I'm worse off than I thought.." he smiled with tears still falling. "That did.. nothing.." he stated.
Frisk took that as permission to hit him with the blade again. It ran through his soul again and he fell to his knees out of breath. He looked up, and his gaze turned to me.
"S-Semi.." he reached out, falling face first to the floor.
"W.D!" I raced over to him.
Lillian shoved Sans off and raced at me. I glanced at Frisk as I heard her catching up with me, and they hurried to cut her off. They cut her off with the Star blade, stopping her in her tracks behind me. Heh. I fell to my knees and skid across the ground on them up to W.D
"Semi.." he tried to get up.
"Easy brother." I stopped him.
"I'm so.. sorry.." he said softly.
"Don't take all the blame W.D." I told him. "We both are at fault for this really." I looked away for a moment. "But it's solely my fault you're like you are.." I sighed.
He got himself up to his knees. I stood up to match his height.
He almost spoke, but held it in. And hugged me instead. We both tensed up, and began to silently cry.
"I miss them so much Semi.." he cried.
"I know.. I still do too." I replied.
"I should have been there with you when they.." he gasped for breath.
"No." I stopped him. "You were busy finding the cure." I reminded him.
"A cure I found a week too late..!"
"Stop!" I pushed him back and looked him in the eye. "It's not your fault they died W.D!" I assured him before he said it.
Because I felt the same way. I felt like it was somehow my fault that we lost them.
He stared at me frowning.
"Then why do I feel so guilty..?" he asked.
"You think I don't feel the same?!" I shouted at him. "I-I had to shut that whole part of the underground off r-right after they..!" I just.. cried.. "After I watched them.." I held my face.
W.D patiently waited on me as I bawled over.. something I should have gotten over years ago.. If I had, none of this would have happened.. We wouldn't have fought. I wouldn't have been so distracted. I never would have thought of using anything to go back and try to change history..! I wouldn't have forgotten about the family I have now..
"Let's not let it happen again." he held my shoulder.
I got a hold of myself and wiped my face as I looked up at him. He.. smiled.. Heh.
"Make the future better than the past. Right?" I repeated his words to me.
He nodded with his smile. Then past me as Lillian walked up, holing her arm as she held her head low in shame.
"Lilly.." W.D said fondly.
She looked up at him, holding in her sadness.
W.D slowly reached out to her, patting her head and feeling her hair.
"Hard to imagine you are.. not really here.." he sighed with disappointment.
Lillian cried out and hugged him.
"Oh Sans! It's so sad!" Papyrus teared up, holding his brother tight.
"It's a good kind of sad Paps." Sans told him.
Which reminds me..
"W.D." I prompted him.
He let go of Lillian and she stepped aside wiping her tears away. He looked right at me.
"I forgive you. For everything." I told him. "And ask for your forgi-"
"I forgive you Semi." he roughly pat my head. "No questions about it." he sighed. "We are bond by our similar magic as brothers to forgive each other, nyeh heh." he laughed.
"Just like that..?" I replied confused.
"Just like that." he stated, using me to get himself up.
I heard a bone crack under his weight.
"Of course, if you fail now, I will take that forgiveness back." his tail curled around him.
"Understandable condition." I shrugged my hands up.
"I hope you can trust me still Semi.." Lillian whimpered.
"You? Course I do." I ruffled her hair. "You cleared her up right?" I pointed to Frisk.
They nodded with a smile.
The odd light enveloped us suddenly, and we were back facing Mastic. All of us standing together.
"One more.." W.D eyed the last soul.
"Who is it anyway?" I asked him.
We have to save her.
Get to it bonehead!
Chara and Lillian's voices were both speaking in my head now. I had three sets of memories, thoughts, emotions, entire lives processing through my mind. It was giving me a headache.
Mastic's attention turned to us.
That loud snap echoed out again, louder than the last two times.
Mastic attacked without hesitation and we all scattered again to dodge the oncoming attacks. W.D snatched me up by my hood and carried me as he avoided attacks.
"I'm giving you one good shot Semi..!" he told me.
As soon as there was an opening, his tossed me with his magic at full force towards the remaining human soul caught in Mastic's grasp. Frisk flew by me from another angle and passed me the Star Blade mid-air. I had no time to think and instinctively swung it to free the remaining soul as I came up on it through the air.
The soul immediately absorbed into me and took control.
The time hast finally come.. For this too end!
They took full control of me and hurled the Star Blade into Mastic while we were still up here. He shrieked out, his voice echoing beside another loud snap. Out in the distance in the darkness, I saw a long strip of white tear through the darkness. It slowly spread, meeting with other tears that had already been growing. Was that what I had been hearing?
Mastic's hold on reality hast been failing since you began releasing our souls Semi.
None of us had any idea who this soul was. Her voice in my mind sounded mature, confident, yet, tired.
The world itself 'tis rejecting him as we speak, tearing away his shrouds of corrupting darkness!
You sure are dramatic lady.
I think that is just how she speaks.
I like this woman, heh.
He 'tis weakened. Now 'tis the time to strike!
Her courage and determination spurred me on. I landed on Mastic and raced for the Star Blade struck into him. I yanked it out and tossed myself upward as he tried to shake me off. I threw myself to the side, then back across Mastic as I made an attack with the blade. I felt Sans' magic grab me and throw me back at him for another attack. Mystrium's magic appeared as a sheet for me to jump off of, giving me another chance to attack on another pass. Papyrus tossed me back next, and W.D tossed me again.
While he was stunned by the quick succession of attacks, I threw myself upwards and summoned my magic in attack. A shadow came over me as I summoned my magic. A loud roar went out from behind me, and a bright light began to grow as I heard magic charging.
Whoa. We summoned a dragon.
Not uncommon for a monster with such power.
This one is.. a bit more than what Sans summoned with my soul alone.
Mastic looked up at me. I smiled and tossed myself our of the way of my magic about to fire. The giant skeletal dragon I had summoned fired off its magic in a concentrated beam, right down on Mastic. I watched it fire as I fell along with natural gravity back to the ground, making a safe landing by rolling across it.
"Gramps!" Sans came running to me.
I stood up as my attack finished, and faded back to raw magic.
"That was so cool!" Papyrus exclaimed impressed.
"S-Scary is more like it.." Frisk shivered.
"Now is no time to celebrate." W.D stared towards Mastic.
The dust my attack had stirred up began to fade off, and from it, walked out Mastic. In his original form. He looked a lot like Mystrium, expect he was pure black in appearance. His eyes flashed open, pure white as I had already seen. But I didn't sense anything pure in his soul. His clothing was foreign looking, much like what I would see Mystrium wearing outside of work. It gave the impression of royalty. As well as selfishness..
'Tis not over just yet..
Attack him now!
No! He will be expecting that!
I twitched as the three other options fought over what to do.
Everyone stood ready to attack with me. We held our ground as he walked towards us, injured but unafraid. His expressed revealed his rage against us, and I could sense his murderous intentions.
"This is..!" Mastic exclaimed in disbelief. "You cannot do this! You are to obey me!" he yelled out. "You-!" he locked his sights on me.
I held the Star Blade up at the ready.
"All of you..!" he snarled.
"It is over Grandfather." Mystrium stepped forward. "You have finally lost." he said.
Mastic began to laugh.
"Lost? My poor child, I am far from defeated!" he replied angrily.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Sans said.
"Silence you worthless monster!" Mastic snapped at him.
"Hey! Don't talk to him that way!" Papyrus snatched Sans up. "He has enough self-respect issues as is!" he held him away from Mastic.
"Like I'm going to take anything that guy says seriously Papyrus." Sans told him.
"You have weakened me, that I shall admit." Mastic's attention came back to me. "But this fight.. this war.." his laughter built. "Has only just begun!" he said loudly.
"I think he's in denial.." I whispered over to Frisk.
They nodded in agreement.
"You know not of what I have planned for.." he quietly laughed. "I may have lost this battle, but I have not lost the war." he glanced at me.
I didn't like what he was saying. This is it, right? We take him down here, this all ends.
Not quite..
White reality, for lack of a better term, tore through the ground nearby.
"If I should be fated to die here.." Mastic began summoning his magic, putting everyone on guard. "I will not let you take me down so easily!" he shouted out, firing off black diamond magic all at me.
I grabbed everyone's souls with my magic and pushed them out of the way, quickly blocking the attacks with the Star Blade. The black magic bounced off the white blade, and I stood staring Mastic down.
He grinned.
Racing towards me surrounded by his magic, I stood my ground and waited until the last possible second to make my own attack against him.
As he fired off his magic, I raced by him. He avoided my attack, having somehow expected it, and kicked me from behind to the ground. I got up and fired magic attacks at him. He side stepped them with ease and shot his magic up into me from the ground.
I broke out of it and fired off a blaster, once again in the form of a dragon, but much smaller. He dodged the blast and fired back with his own sort of crystal complex blaster.
I summoned up a wall of bone to block it nad hurried around the wall to attack him while his blast blocked his view of me. As soon as the magic dropped, I caught him off guard and ran the blade through him.
He summoned up the sword the human soul of his had used, and he ran it through me.
Reality cracked further into white.
I blocked his next swing with the Star Blade and threw him off. Our swords clashed over and over, but neither of us could make any headway on each other.
We threw each other back after another clash, and I could see his fear in his face. He hid it well, but it was there.
"How weak you are without your pride.." he chuckled.
"Look who's talkin' pal." I replied. "You're not to hot yourself with just your own soul." I commented.
He forced his grin to stay as he summoned his magic and fired it in attack. I cut through it and raced towards him in attack. He dodged every swing I made, finally countering on me as he managed to get behind me.
I fell forward from the attack, but was able to catch myself and flip back onto my feet. I landed facing him and fired off rows of attacks across the ground his direction.
He weaved through them and jumped over the last row,. Coming down on me with his sword. Our blades clashed and I was able to stand under his strike.
He stood over me, trying to overpower me as he pressed his sword down on me against the Star Blade.
"Is this your hope monster?" he asked. "PATHETIC." he hid his fear.
"I'd advise you to try it, but, I don't think it would do you much good at this point. "I replied.
"Neither will it you! It did not save the last few to fight me!" he shouted back.
I felt a rush of sadness from the unknown soul. They knew Brainzar. He was.. her brother. I held back her emotions and looked at Mastic with tears falling down my face. Her tears.
"He was just one.." I tried to speak clearly. "We're four!" I shoved him backwards.
He laughed under his breath as he stepped back.
"The law of the world is a simple truth you cannot deny." he said. "It is kill, or be killed." he stated firmly. "And I shall not be the one killed!" he shouted out.
Sadly, I had to agree with that.. This was a real deal kill or be killed situation. But it didn't involve just me and him. It was him.. or the world.
Wipe him out!
Don't give up!
Destroy this darkness. Free the world from fear!
His next wave of attacks came in the form of shattering diamonds. I managed to dodged the majority of them, but the smaller shards zipped by too fast to dodge.
I threw myself forward at him, but he lunched himself up into the air with a sheet of black magic.
From there, he tossed down crystals that shattered on impact, spawning monster like forms made of dark magic. They were like the ones I had met with at the castle in the Void. Just soulless forms made of magic.
Monster magic captured and reformed to be commanded.
Weirdo.
They are not alive than, just magic.
Some of the dark beings shot arrows at me, not all of which I was able to dodge. I shot a blaster at them, taking half of them out, but others came at me from both sides
Papyrus' and Sans' magic ripped through them before I could attack them myself. Frisk cut one down with a dagger they had, and Mystrium blocked some of them off with his magic.
"Let's go then buddy." I pat my dragon summon and held onto them at their side.
It roared out and ran towards Mastic as he landed. Crystals fell to the ground all around him, summoning up a strong defense force.
I stopped my summon and we both got hit by magic from them. The summon broke down into raw magic from the damage it took, and I fell to the ground defenseless.
A dark dog like monster came pouncing at me, but someone's magic knocked it aside before it reached me.
"Get up Dad!" Arial quickly picked me up.
"Here." Calibri handed me the Star blade I had dropped.
"W-What?! How-?" I gasped at the sight of them.
"Don't question it brother!" W.D snapped at me.
"Focus old bones!" Tahoma turned my head towards Mastic.
"We have you covered Semi." No.3's voice told me.
"Bring it on you imitation mutts!" Moshi hopped nearby barking.
"Don't give up Semi!" Frisk told me.
"We got your back Gramps." I saw Sans stand ready, wiping his nose.
"Bring in the justice!" Papyrus proclaimed.
More voices joined theirs. Hundreds, no, thousands of voices. All of them ringing in my skull at once. Voices from ago, all calling for this to end.
My feelings of hope surged as they cheered me on.
"Take that creep down!" Flowey hollered out.
The horde of dark magic monster forms charged at us. Everyone picked a target and went at it, leaving me to get to Mastic. As soon as I saw a way past the monsters, I threw myself through it to the other side of the battle line.
Mastic attacked, and I dodged. I still wasn't even close to him yet. He must really be scared, heh.
He was quick to bring black shattering diamonds down on me, but I weaved past them and worked my way towards him. He summoned more in front of him and quickly grafted them together into hound like forms. They howled as they were completed and charged at me as a pack. I stopped and got ready to fight them off, but Mystrium's magic crashed into them and wiped nearly all of them out.
"Do not let the Nightmare Hounds surround you Semi!" he warned me as he ran past, firing off more magic, taking the hounds out one by one.
I let Mystrium fight them off for me and kept on towards Mastic, dodging the hounds as they tried to stop me. One pounced me from the side, but I quickly threw them off and got back on my feet.
Mastic was beginning to look anxious.
I used the Star Blade to take out the last of the hounds in my way and made my attack on Mastic. Again our blades clashed, sending out sparks of black and white magic. We kept clashing, again coming to a stalemate, unable to overpower the other.
Mastic's fear was slowly turning into joy as we fought I began to notice.
The human is probably loving it more than him. And so am I..!
Chara's mind took dominance and our attacks grew quicker. Mastic's enjoyment vanished, and he was now more concentrated on keeping up with our attacks. We saw an opening and took it, but he somehow blocked it, locking our swords between us. We struggled to overpower each other as we pressed our swords towards the other.
"You cannot defeat a god fool..!" he tried to say with some confidence.
We were suddenly even in power in every respect. His soul must have surged with Will Power. The human soul he had was too determined to give up.
Don't give up Semi!
Break him!
Do not give up hope!
"You got it Gramps!" I heard Sans shout.
"I believe in you Semi!" Papyrus shouted.
Frisk ran up and grabbed hold of the sword with me and joined their power to mine. The sword began to glow brighter.
Stay strong Semi!
I believe in you!
Don't die old man!
Mystrium shot a hound away and grabbed hold of the blade as well. It grew even brighter.
Mastic's eyes widened in fear as we began to overpower him.
You can do it!
Together no one can stop us!
The sword's light shone brighter as more voices joined us. I could sense their power joining my own.
Don't give in!
Keep going!
Stop this true monster!
Strike at the right time!
So many voices.. I don't even know the majority of them. Who are they? Are these.. the other souls that were lost? Whoever they were, hearing them calling out.. I can feel all their power and emotion.. I can't let them all down. I can't let the boys down. I can't let my family down! I can't let my friends down!
For Asriel!
For Drago!
For my brother!
I WON'T LET THE WORLD DOWN!
The Star Blade brighter than I had ever seen before. I felt multiple hands with mine pushing back. All around me I sensed souls. Souls of monsters. Souls of humans. Everyone. I could sense their hopes. Their dreams. Their want for justice! All our hearts and minds were united towards the same goal!
With one powerful shove, we all overpowered Mastic and pushed him back. I caught my breath, than acted on the one thought we all had.
All our hope.
Our swords clashed as he desperately tried to keep up.
All our dreams.
We got a hit in, he struggled to stop the next.
All our hearts.
We knocked him back with a powerful swing.
All our souls.
He scrambled to get up.
All our determination.
I summoned multiple types of magic and attacked him. He blocked most of them off.
BRAVERY..
I dodged an attack from him. He yelled in anger at me as he sent more out of desperation.
KINDNESS..
I dodged the constant stream of shots, waiting for an opening.
PATIENCE..
He called upon all his magic and fired one large blast at us. I held the Star Blade up and blocked it from hitting me directly.
INTEGRITY..
I began walking forward through it, letting the white magic of the blade cut through the black magic.
PERSEVERANCE..
It stopped, and Mastic nearly collapsed from exhaustion. He looked up at me with anger and fear.
"This war.." I gripped the blade with both hands. "IS OVER!" we all shouted together!
"NO! You will not-!"
JUSTICE..
The blade struck his soul.
He stood stunned as the blade hit him directly. WP fell to the floor from him from the strike. When he saw it.. he began to laugh.
"This.. is not.. the end.." he struggled. "You.. haha.. you will undo this.." he stated. "This.. is only the beginning.. of our.. war.." he grinned.
His soul cracked and he winced in shock.
I pulled the blade away, and made the final blow on his soul.
It shattered instantly. Black shards of his soul hit the floor like water, and disappeared along with his body as it fell apart into a muddy liquid. Left behind was the human's soul, struggling to hold itself together as it cracked. A large crack suddenly ran through it, and it shattered. The shards of the soul faded away..
It was over.. The dark monster soul of hate, and the callous human soul.. were gone..
And somehow.. I felt no increase in my EXP, or LV. How did that NOT happen?
I struck the blade into the ground and leaned on it out of exhaustion. The three human souls I had were all that was holding me together now, and without them, I would die instantly.
Frisk ran up to me with concern, placing their hand on mine that held the blade. I reached over and pat their hairy head.
"Thanks for that assist kiddo." I told them.
"Well that was definitely-" Sans began
"Amazing!" Papyrus cut his brother off.
"Are you alright Dad?" Arial came over to me.
"Ah, well, not gonna lie, I could be better." I forced a smile.
"Hold." Mystrium stopped her from coming over.
Everyone was watching what was left of Mastic fade away on the now white ground. I glanced around and saw everything was white now. It was freed from Mastic's corrupting power.
But something was still wrong I sensed..
Reality is unstable..
No freakin' DUH.
Too much has happened..
"Semi." W.D's voice called for me.
I looked over and saw him standing a few feet away. He was looking at me with a serious expression.
"We are far from done here I hope you realize." he told me.
"Yeah we.. might have a problem getting out of here." I walked over to him.
"Not that Semi." he said.
He stared at me with a stern gaze.
I realized what he must have meant when I saw his body flicker in and out of reality. Was what I was sensing.. reality breaking down?
"The damage I am afraid is irreversible." he told me.
Indeed.
That stupid monster messed everything up..!
What do we do than..?
I looked up and saw a black scar run across the white world above us.
"Well whaddaya know. It's going backwards now." I said in fear.
"As ironic as it is, I believe taking time back is the only solution." W.D stated factually.
"Reset?" Frisk walked up puzzled.
"But to when exactly?" Arial asked.
"Is that even possible?" Sans questioned.
"He's got three human souls Sans. I'd think it would be possible for him." Flowey groaned.
"As such only Semi can decide how far back to reset." W.D stated.
I shivered at the thought.
"No pressure Gramps, heh." Sans nudged at me.
"A-Are you sure? I don't even know myself when to reset back to! O-Or if I even want too!" I stuttered. "I.. I just got everything.." I turned to my family. "I just got things straightened out." I said somberly.
Another scar rent through reality around us.
"This is what I saw.." W.D gazed out at it. "The end of reality itself." he sighed. "Only you have the power to reverse it Semi." he looked back at me.
We must. Before it is too late.
But.. Can we?
We have to try!
Is there a chance we can just use our power to fix everything? Patch up reality?
The world would not last long Semi. You do not have the power to repair it completely.
Even with Frisk's soul added in here.
And we know you don't want to have to kill anyone else..
No. I don't.
I sensed they were right. This timeline.. this space.. it was crumbling. And anything I did would only draw out its end. Whatever Mastic did in creating this place, in taking so many souls, it was irreversible. Add to that the resets caused by Chara, and Flowey, and Frisk.. And me and my brother..
There was no hope for this timeline.
But not for the world.
"Gramps- Semi." Sans walked up. "Whatever you do.. I trust you." he told me.
"So do I!" Papyrus quickly added.
"We all do." Calibri nodded in agreement.
"You can do a lot of things with power like that." Flowey said. "Though if you had 7 human souls, well, you could do so much more." he grinned and laughed.
"I'm sure you will do the right thing, whatever you decide on." Frisk said encouragingly.
"Wowie. You people are putting a lot of trust in a crazy old man." I scratched my head.
"It will probably take, like, someone as crazy as you to do it." Tahoma groaned.
Arial smacked him.
"It all depends on your definition of what is right in this situation." Mystrium said thoughtfully. "You could no doubt go back to your own beginning with such power." he stated.
Ou, can we? I wouldn't mind being a kid again.
No.
I am afraid not.
The incident at the Rift I think.. It is still too strong to bypass.
Bummer for you.
So.. That day is as far back as I can go..?
Yes..
It could save W.D.
I looked up at my brother. He looked at me curiously.
"What would you do W.D?" I decided to ask him.
"I would suggest NOT taking any advice from me regarding this Semi." he said annoyed. "I have done enough damage to time and space with my own choices.." he looked away disappointed.
"Alright, how'bout you?" I asked Mystrium.
"It is not my choice to make." he shook his head.
"I'm not asking for you to make the choice, just give me some ideas!" I turned to everyone else.
"Well, however far back you go.." Sans rubbed his chin. "That monster will exist again." he stated.
"That's the worse sacrifice." I replied. "I save the world but put it back in peril, to be lost again!" I grew angry.
"Not to mention the Star Blade would be missing for most of the time you could reset back to.." Arial said thoughtfully.
Are we sure Frisk soul isn't enough to be able to fix-
NO!
Okay okay..
I tapped my chin and started pacing around as I considered my options.
Small back scars began to form on the ground beneath me.
I'm running out of time..! I NEED more time to think this over!
Just do something!
Trust what you know Semi. Act on it.
Whatever we decide, things will be better!
Oh yeah? What makes you so sure of that? What if that monster remembers?
Who says he will?
It is possible to wipe memories with a powerful enough reset.
We know that lady.
Yet you choose to ignore the possibly he will not remember.
I don't like taking stupid risks!
Says the kid who attacks people head on.
SHUT UP.
Alright children calm down.
We cannot simply return to what is left of this world Semi. 'Tis slowly falling apart from the damage it has taken, and regardless of our efforts, it shall continue to do so. The only way to fix the damage 'tis reverse it completely, and prevent it from happening again.
Back we can't reverse it all if I can't go past me and W.D using WP against each other. That's a huge chuck of the damage right there I'm sure.
'Tis true.. But the timeline was fairly stable, even after that, and I believe any damage that was dealt, the world can recover from given the chance.
Surprised we can get past my resetting. I.. killed so many monsters so many times.
But you never wiped them out completely.
Of course not! I'm not a mons-! Uh, I mean.. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!
You sure do know a lot about this for someone from the 11th century lady.
I have some experience with this sort of power.
Using it to beat your brother in training practice, ha! I like you!
Not the most practical use of it..
Alright. So, we HAVE to go back. But what time do I go back to?
My time!
I don't exist in your time Chara.
That's why we should go!
Chara!
What? Haha!
I could go back to the day I disappeared.. But.. The Star Blade wouldn't be here.. I can't go back to any time after that, or just before either, otherwise I have the same problem.. Ugh! This is hard to figure out! I need to be here, the Star Blade should be here, I'd like for Calibri to be here, but if I gothatfar back I put a lot of people's existence at risk!
I'm fine with losing Sans.
CHARA!
"Ah, resetting to save others. Those were some fun timelines." Flower sighed happily. "I did it so many times before I.. well.. took a different view point." he lost his joy. "If I had gone back, one last time, to fix everything.. Maybe we wouldn't be here." he stated.
"You're really not to blame for this bud." Sans winked. "But it's good to know you think that way. Makes it easier to forgive you." he shrugged his shoulders.
"Yeah I guess it- WAIT!" Flowey gasped. "Are you saying you ACTUALLY forgive me?" Flowey peered at him with suspension.
"Scary in't it?" Sans grinned.
"If only Mastic could have earned that.." Mystrium said as he gazed at the ground watching it crack further. "He was so blinded by power, by rights no one has.." he sighed. "I am surprised.. I did not do the same.." he said to himself.
"But you didn't! And that's what counts!" Papyrus encouraged him.
"Does it really..?" Mystrium peered off into the distance.
"Um.. yes?" Papyrus replied confused by his doubt.
I looked at Frisk. They smiled at me with a trusting expression.
"I know it's not easy to do." they said. "But take it from someone who reset many times to make sure everything worked out right." they held their hand up to themselves. "If you use everything you know, you will know what needs to change, when you need to go back to, and what you need to do differently to make for the best outcome." they kindly explained to me.
"The best outcome.." I whispered to myself as I thought on it.
"And save the world, which is.." Sans began. A large black crack tore through the whiteness over us. "Uh.. falling apart." he finished with fearful eyes.
"Oh it's crumbin' bud. I can sense it." Flowey replied.
Another crack appeared off in the distance.
"Like, w-whenever you're ready Semi!" Tahoma flinched.
Frisk nodded to me with a smile.
Alright. Have we made up our minds?
Another large crack tore through the ground below us.
You're the one in control stupid! YOU have to decide!
Hurry Semi!
Act before 'tis too late!
"Heh, see'ya next timeline I guess Gramps." Sans turned to me.
I hope so..
I quickly glanced at everyone. This would be my last memory of this timeline.
"Don't worry Sans." I told him. "If I find the time I'll spend more of it with you second go'round." I winked at him.
His eyes lit up.
"Ah don'worry'bout that. I'm sure changing history will be very time consuming for you." he shrugged with a wide smile.
"I'll try not to do anything that might tick you off." I replied.
"You'll do fine you old'timer." he snapped a finger at me.
"Maybe you can give me a hand this time around." I laughed.
"Just don't get yourself too wound up." he laughed.
"Oh dear god.." Arial sighed and face palmed.
Papyrus took a deep breath.
"You two-!" he paused. "Are tocking too much!" he tried not to smile.
Tahoma held in a laugh.
"Give us second bro." Sans replied. "We got to clock in as much as we can here." he snickered along with Frisk.
"IT'S THE FREAKIN' END OF THE WORLD AND YOU ALL ARE WASTING TIME MAKING PUNS!" Flowey yelled out in anger and fear.
"Kinda like that belt I tried to make out of watches once." Frisk said, getting everyone's attention. "It was a waist of time." they tried not to laugh.
"Oh my.." Calibri laughed.
"That was a timely pun kid." I winked at them.
Another, much larger, crack tore through what was left of reality.
"Okay!" I slapped my hands together. "Time to turn the clock back and save all reality!" I declared.
"You got this." Sans winked.
"Yeah! We believe in you!" Papyrus cheered.
"J-Just do it already!" Flowey panicked as the cracks grew.
"Don't give up!" Frisk smiled.
"I trust you Dad." Arial said.
"Be careful." Calibri nodded.
"I'm sorry for never putting sugar in your tea!" Tahoma.. admitted to. Everyone looked at him. "What? I did it because I didn't like him! I-I felt I should apologize for it." he stated.
"Jokes on you boy. I like my tea with no sugar." I told him.
He flinched back in shock and disbelief.
Heh.
Alright. Let's do this before we all fall apart along with reality.
Ready?
Focus.
Let's change this world's ending.
Let's make a new future, that's better than this past.
