Ganondorf looked down at the young man who stood in front of him.
"What is it Sheik?" he asked.
"The Hero of Time has defeated Volvagia my lord."
"Of course, he has. Damn it!"
"He'll be heading to the water temple next. What's your plan for his next rival?"
"Someone that'll catch our hero off-guard. Sheik make sure that you lead him to the water temple, come back after you've done that. I should be ready."
"Yes, Lord Ganondorf," Sheik said kneeling down bowing his head. Ganondorf watched him leave, his eyes narrowing. He turned around and sat down on his bench in front of his organ. He started his creation right away and finished in no time.
Dark Link opened his eyes, looking around curiously. He looked at Ganondorf with a nod of acknowledgement.
"I am your master. Lord Ganondorf, soon to be king of Hyrule. I created you for one purpose. To kill Link in the water temple." Ganondorf explained. Dark Link tilted his head curiously.
"Who's Link?"
"An evil man who wants to try destroy my kingdom. You are dispose of him immediately, Dark Link!"
"I'm the dark version of him?"
"You are the only version of Link I will allow to live in my world of darkness."
"Where's this water temple?"
"Sheik will be taking you. Am I right Sheik?" Ganondorf looked past Dark Link to Sheik. Dark Link turned around shocked. Sheik studied Dark Link's appearance. He really did look like the dark version of the hero. Link indeed shall be shocked.
"Yes."
"Do you also work for master Sheik?" Dark looked at the other man that stood in front of him. Sheik glared at Dark Link before nodding.
"Sheik gives me reports and does everything I tell him to do." Ganondorf said with a grin. Sheik looked away his eyes filled with sadness. Dark Link turned his body back to his lord.
"What's in it for me master?" Dark smirked up at him. Ganondorf stood up and walked over to Dark Link who's smirk faltered. He towered over the newly created being and knew that Dark Link was feeling intimidated.
Dark Link looked away quickly his brows raised and pushed together fearfully.
"What's in it for you? That is a good question my dark creation, not even Sheik had the guts to ask me that before," Ganondorf used a hand to make Dark Link look at his face.
"If you kill Link you get to stay alive. You can join me in ruling Hyrule, and you'll be second in command and replace Sheik for being my favorite minion. I'll finally be the king of Hyrule, and you will be the next heir to the throne." He drew his hand back from Dark's chin.
"Really? That sounds amazing!" Dark exclaimed.
"What's your goal Dark Link?"
"To kill Link. Lord Ganondorf I won't let you down," Dark Link knelt down at his feet bowing his head.
"I'll be back my lord," Sheik said once Dark Link stood back up. Sheik guided the newly created being out of the castle and into the field of Hyrule.
"Did you hear what Ganondorf said Sheik?" Dark taunted looking at the other man. Sheik let out a sigh rolling his eyes.
"You actually believe that crap he just told you?!"
"Someone sounds jealous of me."
"Idiot! Whether or not you kill Link you're going to die. You think Ganondorf will let you live after? No, he's going to kill you because after you're done with your mission you will have no value left." Sheik stated. Dark Link groaned.
"Whatever! What do you think of Link?" Dark asked as they walked.
"He's a true hero. That is for sure."
"Why'd you say that with such admiration that is disgusting!" Dark Link scrunched up his face.
"I didn't know I did," Sheik replied looking into the distance. Lake Hylia was less then a mile away. The two continued talking until they reached the entrance to where Dark Link was going to be staying in the water temple. Dark Link looked at Sheik questioningly as they stood in front of the door. Sheik sighed.
"Come on go in already." The door slid upwards and Dark Link walked in, Sheik right behind him.
It was a large room filled with water. In the middle of the room was an island, a bare limbed tree stood on it.
"I'll be staying here?" Dark Link looked back at Sheik. He nodded in reply.
"Is my equipment in here?" Sheik pointed towards the tree on the island. Dark Link dashed over and went around the tree. He found his sword and shield leaning against the trunk of the tree, along with the scabbard. Dark got his equipment on; it took him a few tries to figure out how to put it on himself. Sheik watched him slightly amused at the man's struggles. Dark picked up the sword and brought it closer to his face examining his reflection. He smiled broadly revealing sharp canine teeth.
"Damn, who got luck in the looks department!" His piercing red eyes looked back at him. He liked his white hair color, it contrasted with his black tunic. He sheathed his sword and grabbed his shield.
"Now all you got to do is wait for Link," Sheik said. Dark nodded, looking back at Sheik just as he threw a Deku nut, blinding him momentarily. He groaned covering his eyes. When he regained his eyesight, Sheik was gone. He ran to the door, but it was locked shut. Dark Link was completely alone. Only able to leave when he killed the Hero of Time. He smirked to himself before slipping underneath the water to wait.
