You must have faith of a child.

Peter never forgot the words Madame Web had said on his first mission when she entered his life. As of today, the words still rang into his head.

When he heard the news of the death of Maria Taina Elizando a day ago after he found Mary-Jane Watson from another dimension, he didn't know what to think of. At one point before he visited her again, he saw the sign in Tania's bedroom. It said, 'Wish Come True Foundation for Terminally Ill Children'. It all made sense to him; she wrote the letter not just to meet her hero, it was her last wish. She was dying; dying of leukemia according to the people who took care of her.

He went to visit her gravestone with Mary-Jane by his side. With the help of a guide, they found it.

Maria Taina Elizando

Great fan of Spider-Man

May 4th, 1987 - September 2nd 1997

Mary-Jane lets Peter have his time to say goodbye to the young girl that was a huge fan of his alter ego. Yes, Mary-Jane now knew Peter is Spider-Man ever since he rescued her from another dimension.

"Taina... When I met you, I didn't know you were dying. I just thought you wanted to meet me as Spider-Man because you such a huge fan. It was clear that was your last wish. It took me a day to realize your condition," Peter tried so hard to hold back his tears. "That night when we first met was special. You saved me when Doc Ock brainwashed me. You helped me remember who I am. It's because of you that I was able to regain faith in myself when I had doubts of being Spider-Man after I accidentally trashed Mrs. Hardy's medical lab all because I was angry with Ock for hurting Mary-Jane. I let my temper get the better of me, so I lost faith in my heroism until I met you. You helped me believe in myself once more. Believing the hero inside me. You are an amazing girl, Taina. I'll never forget you. You told me I'm the best friend you ever had, and I felt the same way, too. Thank you for keeping my secret until your life ends. Thank you for being my friend. Goodbye."

Once he concludes his farewell speech as tribute to the dying girl, Peter placed her scrapbook which contained pictures of Spider-Man to her grave. This is the sign that he won't be forgetting her anytime soon. Tears spilled out of his eyes, and Mary-Jane took comfort of him for the loss.

As they left the cemetery, Peter will always remember to have the faith of a child.
