Chapter 34: That Dizzy Felling

I could see the sun coming up in the cracks of my blinds, but I just try to bury myself deeper under my covers to keep warm and block out the day. I hear my door open and groan, pulling the covers over my head, "Sakura, it's time to get up, you have to work at the café today."

I let out a whisper-yell, "Mama, I just feel really dizzy and feel really sick."

She leans over and puts her hand on my forehead, "Oh, you're burning up, no wonder you're feeling dizzy. Well, I will just call Aunt Cass and let her know that you won't be in today."

I sit up slowly, trying to avoid the room spinning like a carousel, I shake my head as I reply, "But I have to go in, she is counting on me. If I don't go in, I'll lose my job if I don't go in." I try to get out of bed, but mum stops me and pushes me back into it.

"It will be okay for you to miss one day. If you don't rest, you will only get worse. You could also potentially get someone else sick as well. I'm sure that Aunt Cass will understand that." She said.

I half-groan and let out a slow nod, "I think I will take a shower, maybe that will help me feel a bit better. And not like slime."

My mum walks down to the kitchen to call Aunt Cass and make me something for breakfast. I get out of bed and sway a bit, Kiba comes over and I hold onto him as he helps me to the bathroom. I toss my nightgown into the hamper and start the shower, waiting for it to warm up before I hope in. I sit on the floor of the shower, pating Kiba for a moment as he licks my hand.

Over at the café, Hiro and Tadashi walk down the stairs and look around, Tadashi moves to Aunt Cass, "Aunt Cass, is Sakura running late today

Aunt Cass looks up with a smile, "Well, her mum just called and apparently Sakura is running a fever and is sick. So I gave her the day off so she could rest."

Tadashi frowns and his heart breaks a little, so he asks, "Well, can I go over later and see how she is going? I mean, I bet she is lonely, being stuck at home alone."

Aunt Cass looks up, "Well, maybe. I just don't want you getting sick. But, didn't you have a fight with her?"

Tadashi bites his lip, "Well, yes, but she will have to talk to me at some point."

Aunt Cass smiles at him, "Whatever you want to do is fine with me." Tadashi smiles, and walk back into the kitchen.

Back at home, I get out of the shower and dry myself off, getting into my music note pyjamas and rose slippers. I put my hair in a towel and walk down stairs to see mum sitting at the table. "Well, you do look at little bit better. But you still need to take it easy, the dizzy spells are gone for now, but they might come back."

I nod as I grab something to eat and go and watch tv for a little bit.

Back at the cafe Hiro looks over to his brother and says, "So, when are you going to patch things up with her? I mean, this was your fault and I don't see it getting any better. And you don't want to get sick, do you?" Hiro shakes his head, "I don't know what to say unless you man up and go sort thigs out with her yourself."

Tadashi sighs, "I just don't know what to do."

Back at home, I start to feel dizzy again, I start talking out loud, "I wish this would just stop. It makes me feel worse then I actually am." And I toss a pillow over my face to try and stop the room spinning like a top.

My mom comes over and pushes the pillow out of the way and puts her hand on my forehead, "Feels like your fever has gone back up a bit. I think you should go to bed early and I will bring up some medicine for you." I nod my head and begin to climb the stairs to my room, Kiba following closely behind me.

I lay on the bed and pat it beside me, letting Kiba know that he could join me. He jumps up onto the bed and nuzzles me, I smile at the feeling as I pat him. A minute later, mum comes in, smiling at me with Kiba. She sits down on the edge of the bed and hands me the medicine, "Here, take this. It will help your fever." I take the medicine and hand her back the cup. She takes the cup and pulls the blankets up under my chin, "There, now get some sleep. I'll check on you later. Hopefully this will go away in couple of days."

Mum turns off light and says goodnight, walking back down the stairs where dad looks at her questioningly, "She will be fine in a couple of days, just needs to rest."

Tadashi looks out the window of his room and sighs, Hiro just shakes his head and says, "You are hopeless when it comes to love, and you messed it up,

Tadashi tossed a pillow at his brother, "Yeah, I know, I know." Begore climbing into bed and falling asleep.
