Chapter 35: The Evolution of Friendship

As morning came, the boys started to wake up, Hiro getting out of bed first. He walked over to Tadashi, "Are you going to go and see Sakura today? I am going over with the gang later on, you can join us if you want to."

Tadashi sat up and looked at Hiro, "I might go over later, but I need to do something first. I will see her later, maybe she will forgive me." Hiro rolled his eyes and headed to the café.

Tadashi gets out of bed and starts talking to himself as he gets ready, "I wonder what she would like as a gift. She has a stuffed unicorn already, maybe something Pokémon, she is extremely into that. I wonder what she would like?"

I wake with a cough, wincing as I feel the scratchiness of my throat. Mum walks in just as I sit up, watching me as I move awkwardly. "Ouch, that hurt." I complain as mum walks over to me.

"How are you feeling today, honey?" Mum asked, sitting next to me.

"I still feel like I got ran over by a cable car, and now this cough." I say with a grimace.

My mum rubs my back for a moment, "I will bring up some tea soon, just relax for now."

I nod as I lean back against my pillows and wall, and pick up my drawing books. After a while, there was a nock on the front door, and Kiba started to bark. I hear mum answer the door and ignore it, going back to my drawing. Suddenly I hear foot steps on the stairs and a knock on my door, accompanied by bark from Kiba. "Come in, its open."

The door opens and the whole gang walks into my room, "Hey guys, what brings you here?"

Honey-Lemon smiles, "We just wanted to see how you are and how your feeling?"

Wasabi wipes his hands with sanitiser before coming and greeting me.

Fred puts a bag on my bed as he says, "I wanted to get you a real night-fury, but since they are not real, we all got you this. But, I think it would be so cool if dragons were real; they could breathe fire and we could use it to fly around the city." The others just shake their head.

I giggle as I open the bag and exclaim, "Oh wow, it's a toothless. It's so cute, thanks guys." Hiro hops onto my bed and I smile at him, "So, where is Tadashi? Did he not come with you?"

Hiro looks at me as he says, "He should be over later. But, I am wondering, will you make up with him, this is all getting out of hand."

I nod as I put toothless on my pillow, "Yeah, I just hope that he doesn't get sick."

Hiro gave a sly smile, "Well, if he does, you can just take care of him." I hide a blush at his words and mess up his hair, causing Hiro to glare me.

Tadashi was riding around town, Still trying to work out a present for Sakura, eventually he pulls over at a toy stop and walks in, trying to find the Pokémon products. He looks around and eventually finds a pale-cream fox with pink ears and bows. It had pinks paws, a tail and ribbons, finishing it off was ice-blue eyes.

He walks up to the counter to pay and puts down the Pokémon, when the cashier sees it, she looks up at him and says, "You picked out a Pokémon that is of friendships. It is said that Pokémon helps with friendship and love, this is a good one."

Tadashi doesn't say anything as he blushes, pays and walks out. As soon as he leaves the store, he heads straight to my place. He parks outside, trying to give himself a pep talk before he comes in. Inside, I was still teasing Hiro, "Once I am better, you will have to wear a tutu and dance the ballet."

Hiro shakes his head, "We will see."

I giggle as I hear a knock on the front door. Tadashi takes a deep breath and walks to the door and knocks. My mum answers it and sends him up. To my room. Kiba, who was next to the bed, started growling at the door, Hiro raised an eye brow and went to see who it was. "Shh boy. Its okay. It's just Tadashi, he is a friend." I smile at him, "Tadashi, you can come in. I am glad you came."

He smiles as he looks at me, "Sakura, I am sorry. The way I acted and what I did was way out of line. I hope that you can forgive me."

I hold up my hand to stop him, "It's okay. You were just looking out for Hiro, it's a big brother thing. I just got in the way."

Tadashi looks at me wide eyed as he sits down on the edge of the bed, "But, I was so rude and cruel to you, how can you forgive me?"

"Because it was a misunderstanding. Because I know it won't happen again."

Tadashi smiles, "Oh, I got you something." He said, handing over the bag he had been holding. I smile as I take it and open it up, I pull out the Fox and give a little girly squeal, "Oh, I love it! Thank you." I say as I hold it up and look it over. I look it over and see the crystal heart charm around its neck.

"I really am glad you came over and that we are talking again." I say as I lean forward and hug him. He blushes as he hugs me back. Hiro smiles as he and the gang say goodbye and heads back to the café. Tadashi gets comfortable before I say, "I just don't want to get you sick."

Tadashi smiles at me, "I don't get sick, don't worry." I laugh at him, and we continue to talk to for a bit, before he gets up to go back to the café. I climb out of bed and give him a hug and a small kiss in the cheek. "Thank you for the gift, and for coming to see me."

I giggle and roll my eyes as we talk for a bit he gets up to leave and I said," Tadashi wait." I get out of bed as I hug him I give him a small kiss on the cheek and I said," thanks for the gift and coming to see me." As I sit back down on the bed. Tadashi smiles and tries to hide his blush.

Tadashi walks back to the café and up to his room, Hiro sits there smirking at him. "See, I told you she still cares about you."

Tadashi just nods his head and they both head for dinner. "I am just glad that she is getting better."

Back at my house, I go down stairs to eat dinner with mum and dad. "Was it nice to see your friends today?" mum smiles at me.

"Yeah, it was good. I am glad that Tadashi came as well."

My mum smiles as she said, "Well, I am glad, but you are still sick, so make sure that you still take it easy."

I nod as I eat my dinner, a smile still on my face.
