Chapter 42: Movie Marathon Midnight Madness

When I woke up the sun was already shining through my window so I yawned and got out of bed. I sit on the side of the bed and check my phone, wondering just what I have on for the day; I had a message from Fred, 'My house. Tonight. Godzilla movie marathon. Everyone will be here, there is no way you will be missing out. There will be snacks of candy and popcorn.'

I roll my eyes and reply to his text, letting him know I will be there. I pull out my clothes for the day; dark blue capris with a lace pattern with hearts on the side of the leg and a light blue top with owls sitting in a cherry tree. I turn the shower on, and pull the hair clips out of the draw and put them on my bed before hoping into the shower. I finish up and pull on my robe, walking down the stairs to talk to mum about tonight, "Morning mama, I am going over to Fred's house tonight for a movie night, is that okay?"

My mom looks up from the paper and her tea, "Well, I don't see why not, its nice to see you spending so much time with your friends, are you going to sleep over?"

I put a waffle into toaster as I say, "If it gets to late, I will but I will either call you or send you a text to let you know."

I grab my heated waffle and take it up to my room, eating it as I get ready for the day. I walk out the front door, calling out goodbye to mum as I went. I walk into the café and see Hiro sitting there, "You ready for the movies tonight?" I ask as I try and pat his head only for him to duck away from my hand.

"No touchy the hair sis, but yes, its going to be fun."

Aunt Cass comes over and sit with us for a while, I was still sitting there talking to Hiro and Aunt Cass when Tadashi woke up and saw the message on his phone about movie night, "Why does it have to be tonight? I so don't feel up to it." HE climbed out of bed and walked down the stairs to the café, still in his pyjamas of light blue and white shorts and a grey top with a baseball, a bat and a glove on it. He yawns as he walks over to us, making me giggle as I see his bed head, "Good morning Nemu-sona hito, nice of you to join us."

Tadashi tries to laugh as well, but it came out as cough. Aunt Cass clicks her tongue and grabs the thermometer, putting it in his mouth and she put her hands on her hips, "How did you get so sick?" She places a hand on his forehead, and he leaned into the cool touch with a small smile.

She pulls the thermometer out of Tadashi's mouth, looking at it with a wince, "Your fever is too high, you're staying home, you are in no shape to go anywhere."

Tadashi nearly nods off while standing up before jerking awake, "But I have to go tonight, I have to see the movie before we see where it was filmed."

I look up at him and Aunt Cass, "Maybe I can stay with him tonight." I try and give Aunt Cass my best puppy dog eyes with a sweet innocent smile.

Aunt Cass shakes her head, "You just got over being sick, you don't need to risk it."

I sigh and Hiro chimed in with a sly smirk and a cheeky gleam in his eyes, "That means that I get more sister time with Sakura." He was too busy grinning at us to notice when I leaned over and ruffled his hair. I giggle while looking at Tadashi, he looks so pathetically cute and sick. "Just stay home, one night cant hurt."

He just wines at me, "But I don't want too." He puts a hand over mine and I can feel just how hot it is, I rub the back of it trying to calm him down.

Hiro just deadpans, "He will be fine, we had better go before the others get there and steal the good spots." I nod and smile at them walking out the door with Hiro. As we did so, Aunt Cass walks over to Tadashi, "Come on, the only place you are going is back to bed." Aunt Cass helped him up the stairs and into bed, only for him to cough again, "Ouch, that hurts."

Baymax popped up, "Hello, I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I was activated by you, what is the problem?" As he walks over to the bed and blinks at Tadashi, getting ready to scan him.

Tadashi laughs at him, "I am satisfied with my care." Baymax blinks as he said, "I will scan you now… You have a fever of 103.41."

Tadashi pulls a pillow over his head as he whisper yells, "Unbelievable."

We get to Fred's house and I can't help but stop and stare up at it. "HOOOOEEE! This is not a house, are you serious? It's more like a mansion, or a castle."

Hiro laughs as we head in, me still being stunned with everything I was seeing as Fred walks us to the movie room. "The others should be here soon, feel free to start in the snacks. And be warned, if you fall asleep too early or maybe at all, I will be tempted to draw on your face." Fred finishes as pulls a marker out of his pocket.

I shake my head just as the doorbell rings, singling the rest of the gang arriving. We watch a couple of the movies before I check my phone and see just how late it is, I message my mum and let her know I was staying over, saying goodnight to her.

As the night goes on, Wasabi starts snores on a recliner. Go-Go croaked sleepily to tell him to shut up before falling asleep herself. The last ones left awake was Honey Lemon, Fred, Hiro and myself.

I lay down in front of the couch and Hiro lays down next to me, he actually lets me play with his hair, I braid it as he falls asleep. My eyes start to close of their own accord, but I try and stubbornly stay awake, but when I realise that won't happen, I grab a pillow and shove it under my head. I put my hand back up and run my hand of Hiro's head and he nuzzles into my side with a smile.

Honey Lemon hides a laugh as she puts a blanket over both of us and says, "Its time to call it a night Fred."

Fred lets out a yelp, "What? Why? We have like five more, with extra commentary and special features.!" I let out a moan and Honey Lemon tells him to be quiet. I fall back asleep as Hiro snuggles even closer and Fred turns off everything, "Okay. Fine. You win."

Honey takes a picture of us and sends it to Tadashi before getting into her own sleeping bag and looking back at us, "He is so going to get a kick out of that picture."

Tadashi's phone wakes him up, he started to get annoyed before he saw the photo and started to smile at the sight of me with my arm around Hiro and the mini braids in his hair. He laughs as he saves the picture and rolls over to go back to sleep, but before he does, he thinks to himself, "Maybe I can get her to cuddle with me like that when I am better." And he falls asleep holding his teddy bear.
