Big Hero 6: The Art Theives

Chapter 43: Bumpy Maneuver Air Travel

I climb out of bed and open my blinds, the sun was just coming up but was hidden behind the clouds. 'It looks like a storm is rolling in.' I quickly jump in the shower to get ready for the day, as I am getting out mum yells up the stair, "Honey, you better quickly finish packing or your going to miss the flight." I check the time on my phone and let out a yelp, I had to leave in 20 minutes. I quickly pull my pyjamas back on and finish packing, I slip twilight into the case and zip it up. I walk down the stairs and put the bag by the door before walking into the kitchen to see mum, "Alright, I am all ready to go."

Mum hums as she turns to look at me, stopping with a raised eye brow. "You going to go in your pyjamas, are you?" I look down and realise I was still wearing my shirt and pants, both pink. Along with my pink slippers.

I let out a squeak before looking up at mum, "I forgot to change, I'll be right back." And run up the stairs to my room, I could hear mum laughing the whole way up. I quickly open my wardrobe, riffling through my clothes until I find an outfit; a peach t-shirt with whit buttons going down the front with whit leggings and yellow shorts over the top, finishing it off with my grey-pink Mary-janes. I grab the matching and bag and quickly put my hair up with two re hair clips. I run down the stairs. I say goodbye to mum and grab Kiba. Making sure I had a hold on both Kiba and my bag, we head to the hanger, not seeing anyone when we get there. "Where is everyone?" I mutter to myself.

Suddenly Fred jumps out at me, making me jump and Kiba growl. I quickly pat Kiba on the head, "Easy boy, he is a friend." Before looking back up at Fred, "Where is everyone?"

Fred walks over to us eating his peanut butter burger with chocolate sauce and sprinkles, "So, flower girl, you're early, you didn't get my text?" He takes a bite of his food as I pull out my phone and deadpan to him, "No. I was in a hurry, I wanted to be here before the storms hit."

Fred just laughed, "Come on, we will go play some games while we are waiting. I have one where you can have a Dinosaur and you have to try and tame them." He was so excited; I couldn't help but laugh as I followed him. Kiba walks up and sniffs Fred again, "Easy boy, he is nice."

We play a few games, stopping when the gang rocks up. Tadashi walks straight over saying, "We should leave before the storm hits." We all head over, making sure we all have everything as we climb into the plane. "You look nice." Tadashi says, smiling at me.

I open my mouth to respond with we hear the thunder, and all turn to look out the windows, "That does not look good." I say.

Tadashi coughs before saying, "It will be fine Sakura, you ready to go?" We take off as the storm grew closer. After a few minutes, the captain came over the intercom, not long after we took off, "Guys. It's going to get bumpy here." Hiro sat down next to me uneasily. "The clouds are really dark out there." A flash of lightening brightens the sky momentarily.

Suddenly, the plane starts to shake, and I can't help but whimper, "Ta-Tadashi." I start to fall backwards but he reaches out and grabs me, pulling me towards him. I grab a hold of his shirt and hid my face in his chest, hiding the tears that were building in my eyes. Go-Go smirks before the plane shakes again and she reaches out to grab Wasabi just as others reach out to hold those that are closest to them. As the pilot manoeuvres us past the storm and into the sunset, the sky calmed, and the plane stopped shaking we all let out a breath of relief.

When we get out of the storms, I look up at Tadashi, "Thanks for the save." I try and hide a blush as the plane veers more towards Tokyo and becomes completely steady. Tadashi tries to hide a blush that is on his face, "That was too bumpy for my tastes."

I look up at him and smile, "You can let me go now, the storms are behind us." He blushes cherry red, mumbled an apology and lets me go. I walk back to my spot, Aunt Cass giving us a sly smirk on the way past, the glimmer in her eye showing she knew what was going on between us.

Hiro sat down next to me, still feeling a little terrified so I reach over and gently rub his back. We get over the city and Wasabi looks out the window, "Is this Tokyo?" He looks down at the city that was lighting up the sky with all the lights littering the buildings and sparkling off the water.

I smile as I reply, "Yep, this is my home, I can't wait to show it all too you. I think your going to love it just as much as I do." As we land in the airport I look out at Tokyo, "This is going to be great. I can't wait to see everyone."

Tadashi looks over at me, "Sakura, I can't wait to see your home and where you grew up."

I nod a little teary eyed, "Yeah, I can't wait. It's going to be great." We walk off the aeroplane and down to meet my grandparents.
