Chapter 48: Meet BayMax

I rolled out of bed and yawned, opening the blinds to see the sun coming up. I make my bed before walking over to my wardrobe and opening it, trying to work out just what I wanted to wear for the day. I pulled out a white long-sleeved button-down shirt, worn beneath a cream-yellow jockey style jacket with beige shoulders and back section, buttons, a chest pocket and a black buckle. A pair of wide brown pants worn with a pair of light-chocolate lace up boots. To finish it off I grabbed my red bag that could be turned into a backpack. I turned to look in the mirror before turning to walk out the door, catching my toe on the foot of the bed. "Ouch." I yelp, sitting down on the edge of my bed, grabbing my foot.

Suddenly there was a noise from near the doorway, "Hello, my name is Baymax. You said ouch. On a scale of one to ten, how bad is your pain? Would you like me to look at and treat your injury?" I nod my head a him and show him my foot, he grabs it and puts a cooling spray on my toe, making the pain go away pretty much straight away. He tries to a full body scan, but I roll my eyes, "I am fine Baymax. How about you go see if my grandmother need help? Actually, I am going to come with you." Baymax just looks at me, like he is waiting for something. I laugh at him and take his hand, pulling him along with me into the kitchen.

"Grandma, this is Baymax. Baymax, this is my grandma." I say "Baymax is the robot healer that Hiro and Tadashi made?"

Baymax looks at Grandma, "Hello, I am Baymax, nice to meet you."

Grandma laughs at him, "Well, it's nice to meet you too." And walks over to shake his hands before turning and looking at me, "Sakura, care to make breakfast when everyone gets up?"

I nod as I pull on an aquamarine apron while Baymax watches me, "You will burn your feet without proper footwear." He says. I look down and et out a small laugh before running and getting my hamster slippers and slip them on. "Baymax, help my grandmother set the table please." Baymax nods his head and goes to help her, as he is doing this, Tadashi and Hiro walk into the kitchen, yawning before looking around.

"Baymax, what are you doing?" Tadashi asks, looking at Baymax with raised eyebrows. I had to turn around to hide a laugh at the look on Tadashi's face.

"I am setting the table. Sakura is cooking." Baymax replied. I couldn't help the small blush and giggle that escaped when I turned around. "Would you like some Tea Tadashi?" I pull out a mug with kero and the clow cards on it. He nods as he sits on the couch and waits for his tea. Baymax walks over to him, "I will scan you now."

Tadashi face palms before saying, "No, don't scan me."

"Your neurotransmitters are a little high and your running a fever. I can give you some medicine to bring down your fever down. But there is nothing that I can do about your crush on Sakura." I giggle as quietly as I can while putting the biscuits in the oven for breakfast. I make sure the timer is on and turn to look at Tadashi. He rolls his eyes while looking at Baymax, "This is just unbelievable." I tried to keep from laughing but it was hard while watching Baymax 'parent' Tadashi.

Tadashi looks over at me with a scowl, "It's not funny Sakura." Then he blushes and looks down, "I can't wait to see the movie at the festival." I blush and send him a small smile as I take him his tea. As the others walk in, Baymax walks over to Hiro, "Bed head is the leading cause of tangled hair." Hiro rolls his eyes and sits down at the table to eat. I couldn't help it, I bent over double and started crying with laughter.

Grandpa walked in and looked over at Baymax, "What is this thing?"

Baymax walked over to him, "Hello, I am Baymax, your personal healthcare robot." Grandpa nods slowly before going and taking his place at the table. I finish taking the food over and placed it on the table. While we are eating, Grandma turns the news on. I turn to watch it as I say, "I hope nothing goes wrong with the festival. I can't wait to see who the surprise singer is."

Baymax looks around at us all as he says, "What is a festival?"

Everyone looks over at him as I say, "I guess he still has a lot to learn on his first trip out of the lab." Hiro and Tadashi just shake their heads as I reach to grab another biscuit. I settle myself back down when I look up a Baymax again, "I will tach you later."

Tadashi goes back to eating when Baymax looks over at him, "Tadashi, you should lay down after breakfast." I couldn't help the little giggle that came out as I started to clean up. Tadashi rolls his eyes as he comes over, "Would you like some help?"

I giggle at him, "Okay, for a little bit." We finish cleaning up when I dry my hands as I watch Tadashi getting medical advice from Baymax. After a few moments I take pity on him, "I think he is satisfied with his care now, Baymax."

Baymax walks over to his charging dock and settles down. I smile at Tadashi, "A small nap would actually do you some good. You need to take it easy so you don't get sick again." I give him a small kiss on the cheek and turn him from the room. Just as Tadashi walks up the stairs, Grandma walks in at gives me a knowing look making me blush, "He might just be the one for you." She says.

"Maybe," I reply, "I am not so sure just yet." We start getting things ready for dinner as we go.

Grandmother looks between me and the door, "You two are right for each other. You just need time." She says before turning and starting on dinner preparations.
