Kristoff heard a knock at the door.
He sighed and got up to see who it was. Looking through the peep hole he saw the redhead looking down, staring at her feet. Kristoff pressed his head against the door and whispered to himself, "Oh god, why me? Why can't I just be left alone, I don't like being teased by something I cannot have."
He opened the door and greeted her while looking slightly past her. He was still not able to look the woman directly in the eye, Anna may not be a ten, like Elsa was, but she was certainly a nine.
"Hi" said Kristoff.
"Hey, I wanted to apologize for what I did the other day, ya know, coming into your apartment and messing with your stuff." said Anna.
"Don't worry about, you make a good house sitter." said the man. 'oh my, Kristoff, could you have given her any stupider of a compliment? He thought.
Anna chuckled a little at his comment. "Thanks I guess, I have this thing about cleaning and organizing.."
"I understand you completely, actually I am a cleaner of sorts too. Well I do it professional." Kristoff laughed and put his hands in his pockets, a nervous habit. "Which means, I don't do it at home."
His comment piqued Anna interest, "What do you mean you do it professionally?"
'I wonder if she can handle the truth, hmm, only one way to find out.' He thought.
"Why don't you come inside and I can show you." said the man.
Anna instantly perked up at his invitation to enter his home again, "alright sure." she said, trying to play it cool. Anna didn't want to come off as overly excited.
'He is going to love this pie!. I wonder what he is wearing? I wonder if he likes me?' thought the blond as she eagerly bounced down the stairs, headed in the direction of Kristoff's apartment.
As soon as she hit the bottom step she looked towards the mans door and saw Anna enter his apartment, she stopped in her tracks. The context confused her, she could not understand why he invited her in, after all it was her that had violated his space and entered un-invited last time. Elsa contemplated the implications of this, perhaps he didn't like her after all and only had dinner with her for the 'free food' as he so put it.
'I thought we kind of clicked, maybe. I don't like being on this side of the equation. I can't fault him, I mean the woman in beautiful, there is no doubting that.' sporadic thoughts rained in her head as she tried to make sense of the event unfolding before her.
Elsa looked at the pie she was holding and then at the door. 'Maybe its not what you think, just try again later before jumping to any conclusions." she thought, while she walked back up the stairs she had just come down.
Kristoff pulled out a laptop, plugged it in and sat down on the couch with Anna following suit.
"This is me and what I do. Alright? Are you ready?" he asked the redhead.
Anna nodded "yeah.." she said as she leaned a little closer to him.
Kristoff pulled up a picture from his collection. "Before you ask, I have to take from before and after pictures to prove the work was done." he said as the first picture popped up on the screen.
"What am I looking at?" asked Anna.
"That is blood spatter on the wall, its from a gunshot wound, someone broke into this guys house while he was asleep and paid for it dearly." he said. Anna sat up straight and looked away. Slowly she leaned back for another look.
"Interesting... show me the next one." said the red head, with a look of intrigue on her face. Kristoff clicked to the next one which was much more gore than the last. He was surprised when Anna barely flinched.
"So this doesn't bother you?" asked the man.
"Oh, yes its quite disturbing, but its also fascinating at the same time. So you really clean this up? Does it pay well?" asked Anna.
"Yes I do, and it really does pay well." said Kristoff. "So what is it that you do?"
"I am a teacher, kindergarten." said the redhead.
"Well that's certainly more glamours than 'crime scene cleaner'" laughed Kristoff.
