Elsa looked at the man. It was Olaf, the coffee stand owner.
'Oh my god. What have I done?' she asked herself. 'I don't even remember anything!'
She softly rolled back over and decided to let the man sleep some more. Elsa was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of foot steps moving rapidly. She sat up.
'What is that? Oh my god, someone is in the house!' her thoughts spilled quickly turning into panic.
Suddenly a little boy appeared from the hallway, "Mommy, Daddy!" yelled the boy as he jumped into her bed with them. Elsa froze solid.
'This must be a dream, albeit a very vivid one at that.' thought the woman as she was bounced a little from the boy jumping into her bed.
"Hey buddy! What are you doing up so early?" Olaf asked his son.
"I heard the alarm!" said the boy eagerly. "It's time for me to go to school right?"
"Yeah, why don't you go and ask mommy to take you, Sven?" said Olaf.
Sven crawled over to Elsa, who had the look of utter shock still on her face. He threw his arms around her, "Mommy, can you take me to school pleeeeeease?" asked the boy.
"Honey, are you alright?" asked Olaf. "you look like you have seen a ghost." said the man, as he realized the pale color of her skin and the expression on her face.
Elsa choked on her words for a second before managing to utter out, "Sure"
"Thank you mommy!" said the boy as he squeezed her tighter in the hug.
"You should go and get ready." said Elsa to the boy.
After the child left the room, Olaf turned back to Elsa, "Hey you don't look like you feel good, I will take him to school, if you need to stay and rest." said the man.
Elsa looked at her hands and saw the elegant wedding ring. 'I almost never dream...why am I dreaming now?...this is the best dream I have ever had in my life...i am going to live up' thought the woman.
Elsa shook her head. "No no, I am fine, thank you though. I am gong to take him to school, which one is it again?"
Olaf chuckled slightly at her response. "It is the one just down the street, babe."
Elsa remembered that there was no school on her street. The thought caused her to become alert and look around the room. 'this is not my house. Where am I?'
"Right, well I better get ready." said Elsa as she got up out of the bed and tried to find the bathroom.
Elsa was walking down the street, holding her son's hand. She looked down at him. "Sven, how old are you?"
The boy looked up at her in confusion, as if she should know his age. "This many!" he said as he held up the five fingers of his free hand. His action made the blond smile at him.
"Five years old huh?" said Elsa, to which the boy nodded. He then looked at one of the houses and saw a man on the roof.
"Mommy, what is he doing up there?" asked the boy.
Elsa followed where her son was pointing, "Ah, well he is putting up lights, see he already did the front yard."
"Are we going to put up lights this year?" asked the boy. Elsa looked at him and cocked her head.
"Well, I don't know Sven. You should ask your father when you get home." said Elsa. The two were getting closer to the school now, when Sven pulled her to a stop on the sidewalk.
"I can walk by my self from here, mommy." said Sven.
Elsa looked at the boy. "What? But we still have another half a block left."
"All the other boys will make fun of me if I show up with my mom." said the boy.
Elsa knelt down in front of him, "Alright, but I am going to stand here and watch you until you make it to the door."
Sven threw his arms around his mother and kissed her, catching Elsa entirely by surprise. "Thanks mommy!" said Sven.
The gesture made Elsa blush a little, like it warmed her entire body. Sven ran off and Elsa stood and watched. Once the boy had safely reached the front door of the school, she spun on her heel and began walking home.
'I wish this was real' she thought.
Once she got back to the house, she expected to wake up from her dream, however, it did not. Instead she heard noises coming from above her. Loud shuffling and thuds, lured up stairs, but the noise was still above her.
"Olaf?" called out Elsa.
A muffled response came in return, "Up here honey!"
Elsa walked around until she found the entrance to the attic hidden in the master bedroom closet. "What are you doing up there?" she asked.
"Um...I have to get the lights and tree down" he said in a tone that suggested that she had just asked the stupidest question ever.
"Well, do you need help?" she asked again.
"No, I got it babe. But I wouldn't mind a cup of hot chocolate, its rather cold up in here." said Olaf down the steps.
"Sure thing! One hot coco coming right up!" she said with a smile before running down to prepare it for him.
A few minutes later, Elsa was in the kitchen when she heard some colorful words coming from up stairs. She figured she should just mind her business and ignored him. Just as she was pouring his cup, Olaf entered the kitchen with perfect timing.
Elsa looked up at him as she handed him his coco. "What happened to your head?!" she asked.
Olaf shook his head, "This is nothing, you should see the other guy." he said jokingly.
Elsa grabbed a paper towel and wet it before dabbing the blood off of the man's forehead. "And what exactly did you get into a fight with?"
Olaf took a sip before answering the woman. "A nail sticking though the roof." he said.
Elsa scoffed, "Olaf, its all in your hair!" said Elsa as she was parting his his hair finding clumps of dried blood.
Olaf tossed his free hand around his wife's waist and kissed her. "I'll live, honey. But now I have to go and put up the lights on the roof."
Elsa felt a warmth radiating though her body, 'Its just a kiss. One from my husband no less. Don't act weird.' she begged herself.
"I left the tree in the living room for you to set up, alright? Just remember that Sven likes to put the star on top, so leave it off for him." said the man as he walked out to the garage.
Elsa ogled him from behind as he walked. Once he was out the door, she let out a deep sigh. "Well I guess I should get to work then." she said aloud.
Elsa looked at the clock on the mantle, it was after noon. "Olaf must be getting hungry by now, I should make him something to eat. She put on her cardigan and walked out side to the sidewalk in front of the house.
"It's looking really good, Olaf!" she yelled up to him. "It's lunch time, what do you want to eat?"
The man smiled at her. "Thanks babe. Umm, the usual if you would please."
"Remind me what that is again, I can't seem to remember." she yelled.
"Ya know. A three cheese grilled cheese sandwich." yelled the man back to her with a smile.
"Alright, it will be ready in a few, you should come and wash up." yelled Elsa as she made her way back inside the house.
Elsa slid Olaf's plate and sandwich in front of him. "You kinda smell." she said
Olaf looked at his wife, "There were some dead birds in the gutters and I had to get them out, ya know the usual issue. Besides you smell too" he said in a charming manner.
"Olaf!" scolded Elsa. "I don't need to know those things, please." she was a little self-conscious at his comment so she sniffed her shirt. "And I do not smell bad!"
"I know, you smell like cinnamon. I was just teasing you." he said.
Elsa grinned as she bit into the sandwich she made for herself as well. "This is really good." she said with a mouth full of food.
Olaf eagerly nodded his head in agreement. "It's cause you made it, dear." charmed the man.
"So, who is going to pick up Sven from school?" asked Elsa.
"We both are, remember. We are going to drive around and look at the Christmas light together. So we will go and get him with the car." said Olaf.
After they ate, Olaf went back up onto the roof to finish the light and Elsa went to finish the tree decorating. And in no time at all, it was the end of the day and they needed to go and pick up their son from school.
