I've updated the previous three chapters. Making changes, so you might want to go reread them if you read the originals.

Disclaimer: I only own the story not the amazing characters.

Halloween and Redheaded Girls

Charlie Brown stood outside of Violet Grey's house kicking himself. He had never been invited to the infamous Grey Halloween party before and even though coming had been his idea he was starting to reconsider. Violet was a Scary person.

Lucy had already started up the porch and turned to tell him something but realized he wasn't there. With a look of confusion on her face she searched for him, spotting him a few feet back she called out to him.

"What are you doing, Char?"

"Technically a line was drawn years ago and Violet and I have a agreement that it is not to be crossed. I didn't really think this through."

Lucy laughed before coming back to him. Grabbing his hand she led him to the porch.

"Stop being silly we came together and she wouldn't dare turn you away. She loves me."

Reaching the front door Lucy gave it a good knock before smiling at Charlie. The door opened to reveal Violet in a pirates costume. Charlie wanted to tell her that the skirt is too short and that nobody wants to see that, but Violet speaks first.

"Really? Why is he here?" Her tone was dripping with venom.

Before Lucy could answer Charlie tipped his hat and replied.

"I came here to see you of course. The president of my fan club."

Rolling her eyes she stepped aside to let them in the door.

"Enjoy yourself tonight Brown, it's the only time you will ever be in my house."

"Please stop pretending you don't love me Grey, you are not fooling anyone." He winked at her as Lucy pulled him further into the house.

"You made me think you were actually scared of her but it looks like you can handle her like a boss." Lucy handed him a red cup.

"I was but then I remembered that I liked a pissed off Violet."

Lucy laughed at this.

"Come on troublemaker, let's dance."

Taking a quick drink of his bitter beer he followed her onto the makeshift dance floor.

Charlie Brown leaned against the stair banister. The night had been going well until Schroeder had shown up. Then Frieda had interrupted their dancing and Lucy had disappeared for about an hour. Charlie had looked for her but couldn't find her.

Well he knew where she was now, completely plastered and dancing on top of the Grey's mahogany dining room table. Every cat call and whoop that came from the growing crowd of boys made Charlie angrier. She was suppose to be here with him. The plan was suppose to start tonight. Why was she so selfish?

Arms incirled his waist and he looked down at Sally. She looked at Lucy before looking sadly at him.

"Tonight not going as planned, big brother?"

He scoffed before replying, "She was right, I'm a blockhead."

"You are not a blockhead, Charlie Brown. Even she would tell you that now. She's hurting right now and to her this seems to be the only way to stop the pain."

"Please don't defend her."

Sally looked at her brother a second longer before sighing.

"Come on let's get out of here. I will tell Violet we are leaving Lucy in her capable hands. Just in case though will you tell Linus."

It took him a few minutes but he finally spotted Linus' riddler costume. At first he hadn't been sure it was Linus, seeing as a certian catwoman had him pinned to the wall.

"Linus." Charlie shouted at him a few times before he got a grunt for acknowledgement.

"I'm leaving will Sally, do you got Luce?"

The only response he got back was a thumbs up. Charlie laughed and walked towards the front door. He would call and make sure later.

He had almost reached his car when he realized that Sally wasn't alone. He should have known that Bonnie couldn't be without Clyde. He gave her a pointed look but she just rolled her eyes. He was so ready for this night to be over.

The ice cream palor on Main was as slow as Charlie would have guessed. There was only two other people in the shop. He kinda liked the lack of people. Walking over he sat down across from Sally and Schroeder.

Licking his chocolate ice cream he listened to the conversation they were having.

"All I'm saying is that Pig-Pen is not the best influence and I mean how is Fireball Whiskey ever a good idea."

"Come on babe," Schroeder defined himself. "You have never tasted the stuff it's amazing. Ask Charlie." Schroeder gave him a pointed look.

Charlie returned the look but that just made Schroeder smile. In ninth grade he, Franklin, and Schroeder had crashed a senior party. At first the baseball player throwing the party had been upset but then he had made a deal with them. If they could each do five shots of Fireball without vomiting, they could stay. Schroeder had been the only one to make it through all five. Charlie coming in at three and a half and Franklin not even making it to three before he refused to do anymore.

The senior had been so impressed that they had even tried that he let them hang around. That night was the first and last time Charlie had gotten drunk. The Whiskey tasted a lot worse coming back up than going down. Now he wouldn't touch the stuff but Schroeder had never had a problem holding his liquor.

It's funny to think of a time when he and Schroeder had been friends, but there had been a time when he would have called him his best friend. They had been close for a long time but started growing apart their sophomore year. His dislike really hadn't started until recently.

Before he could collect his thoughts and reply someone tapped his shoulder.

"Hiya Chuck."

Turning around he almost jumped back in surprise. He had only seen Peppermint Patty a few hours ago but she looked completely different. Her hair was curled and had been dyed a deep red color. He couldn't be sure but he thought she had eye shadow on. Then he saw the rest of her.

"Peppermint Patty?"

He thought she was suppose to be Hermione Granger because of the red and gold scarf and wand but this wasn't the Hermione he remembered. There was too much of... everything. He had been mistaken about Violets short skirt, that was modest compared to this. The grey vest didn't go past her belly button and the costume was missing the usual white shirt, teasing with small glimpses of what her mama may have given her. Who was this person?

She laughed at his confusion and looked like she was very much enjoying his reaction to her bold choice. He looked away as his face grew red. Sally's mouth was wide open and Schroeder was looking down at the table.

"Yes silly. My friend Becca helped me with my costume."

She turned toward her friend who was behind her and Charlie recognized her instantly. She was the little redheaded girl of his childhood. His first major crush, she was still beautiful.

She had dressed up as Pippi Longstocking. She was less modest than the character but more so than Peppermint Patty. The stockings and pigtails looked cute on her and he didn't feel so bad for staring at her.

"Hey, Charlie." She smiled.

"Hi. I didn't know you were back in town."

"Just for the weekend. Maybe we could get together."

He almost jumped at the offer but than he thought about Lucy. He really needed to set his plan in motion even if he was mad at her at the moment. Before he could say anything Sally jumped in.

"He would love to, his number is 555-3879. He is free tomorrow."

"Sally..."

"You are!"

"I will see you tomorrow?" Turning back to Becca he saw a hopeful expression on her face. He guessed it couldn't hurt to catch up with an old friend.

"Sure." He smiled at her.

"Great! Bye guys."

With that they left. Turning toward Sally he gave her a look.

"This will be good for you, Big Brother, help you get over a certian someone."

That was the problem he didn't want to get over Lucy.
