So I decided to write some of this chapter in Lucy's POV. Please let me know if you like it or not. Thanks!

A Bit of Jealousy

The banging noise coming from the other side of her bedroom door caused Lucy to shoot up in bed. Big mistake, the pounding in her head only grew and a groan escaped her lips. She didn't know who the monster was but she hated them a little bit.

She vaguely remembered Charlie Brown walking her home this morning. She hadn't wanted to get out of his comfy bed but she knew her parents would start to worry.

The banging started up again causing Lucy to almost fall out of her bed.

"Ugh. Come in already." She tried not to shout as it made her head hurt even more.

Violet Grey entered the room in the way that only she seemed to be able to achive. With both grace (as if she was the queen of England) and casuality (as if she lived there herself). Lucy usually found this a loveable quality but after the night she had, she found it annoying.

"Wow, you look fantastic." Violet said with a tone dipped in sarcasm.

"Really? You think I'm red carpet ready?" Lucy's tone mimicked Violet.

"Definitely."

Violet walked to Lucy's closet and started looking through her clothes.

"Ummm, what are you doing?" Lucy asked.

"It's five o'clock in the afternoon. You need to get out of bed, so I'm here to take you out for dinner. Go take a shower. You are definitely not red carpet ready."

"Violet, my head is bonding and I don't want..." Lucy started.

"Shower." Violet pointed in the direction of the bathroom.

"Ugh, fine, but you are paying."

Lucy knew when Violet made up her mind no one could change it, so Lucy went and got in the shower.

The water helped to clear her head, the hot water washed over her soothingly as she just stood there. She needed to find out what happened to her last night. It was all a little foggy.

Then she thought about Charlie Brown. Her loveable best friend. He was always there for her. She didn't deserve him, she of course knew that fact.

A few months ago Lucy had been really upset about a particularly awful rejection from Schroeder. After Charlie Brown had let her cry her eyes out he went to go get her ice cream. He had barely left when Sally walked into his room.

"He is too good for you, Lucy." The younger girl stated.

At first Lucy thought she meant Schroeder. She started to defend herself but Sally started talking before she could.

"I can't talk to him about it though. I can't say, 'Charlie, give her up. She is all take and no give.' We both know he won't listen don't we?"

Lucy was stunned, Sally wanted Lucy and Charlie to stop being friends, best friends?

"Give him up, Luce, let him move on. He can't keep being a shoulder to cry on, he deserves to be the one being cried over."

Sally was right, of course she was right, but all Lucy could think was that she couldn't lose him. She told Sally this and Sally rolled her eyes. After calling Lucy selfish, she left the room.

All the rest of the night Lucy didn't mention Schroeder again. She asked Charlie about Baseball, they watched his favorite movie, and then he walked her home.

Sally might have been right but Lucy didn't want her to be. She could give, not just take.

Lucy got out of the shower. Wrapping the towel around her she walked into her room. She didn't really feel like hanging out with Violet but knew she wouldn't tell her no. It wasn't that she didn't want to spend time with the girl, Violet was her best friend, but she didn't want to hangout with anyone.

Violet was sitting on Lucy's floor looking at her vinyl records. She currently had 'Cage the Elephant's Tell Me I'm Pretty' on the turntable.

Lucy walked to her bed where Violet had laid out some clothes. There was a t-shirt that said 'Trade your boyfriend for a musician', a pair of shorts, and her favorite flats.

"Where are we going?" Lucy asked.

"Joe's. I'm in the mood for a burger." Violet replied.

They walked into Joe's and started looking for a booth. They were heading for an empty one when Lucy spotted Charlie Brown. He wasn't alone, a pretty redhead was sitting across from him.

A look of confusion crossed Lucy's face. She didn't know he was seeing anyone. Why wouldn't he have told her? She wondered who the girl was, was she good enough for Char?

"Hey Charlie Brown." Violet called out.

Charlie's smiling face fell when he saw the two girls. He looked at the girl he was with, said something to her and then looked back at Lucy.

"He is acting weird." Lucy thought.

"Hey Charlie." Violet said again.

"Hey Violet, Lucy. This is my friend Becca." Charlie nodded to each girl when he said her name.

Lucy looked at the Becca. She had been right about the girl being pretty. She looked familiar but Lucy couldn't place her. Lucy did know that Becca didn't go to their school. She would know if she did, Lucy knew everyone.

"Hi." Becca said.

She seemed to be a nice girl but Lucy didn't want to like her. She wasn't sure but she thought that maybe she was jealous. Which was crazy right.

Violet nudged Lucy in the side. Snapping out of her thoughts Lucy realized she was staring.

"Oh sorry, hi, it's just that you look familiar." Lucy said.

"I use to live here. It has been awhile but I remember you Lucy Vanpelt."

Ah, that's where Lucy knew her. Rebecca Jensen, she and Lucy had been friends once upon a time.

"Becca hi, how is your brother Peter?"

"Good. Linus?"

"Great."

"Good, Sally convinced him that they are soul mates yet?"

"Oh he knows. He just waited too long to realize it, she is with Schroeder now."

Becca's face turns into a frown and she looks really sad, much to Lucy's chargon. Sometimes she wishes she would have kept her interest in Schroeder a secret.

"I'm sorry." Becca says.

"That's okay. It isn't over till the Wedding day, right?"

Becca laughs at this and Lucy is over talking to her. They aren't friends anymore. Pulling Violet's arm she takes a step back.

"Well it was good seeing you, Becca. I'll see you later Char."

The girls walked away.

Lucy popped a french fry into her mouth. She was trying to keep her eyes off of Char and Becca. She knew she was failing when Violet started talking.

"I've seen you jealous before but this is different."

"I'm not jealous, she isn't right for him though." Lucy insisted.

"Oh really? You look jealous. Also how would you know who was right for him?" Violet pressed.

"Well for one she needs to be from town. We can't have Charlie moving far away."

"You mean you can't have him moving far away because you're jealous."

"Second," Lucy continued ignoring Violet's statement, "they have nothing in common."

"You don't know that, you haven't seen the girl in ten years."

"Violet, I know these things."

"Jealous." Violet repeated in a sing song voice.

Lucy rolled her eyes. She was not jealous. At least she hoped she wasn't jealous.

After Violet dropped Lucy off at her house Lucy changed into more comfortable clothes. She still felt tired, even though the food had helped with the hangover.

She had just settled herself into a good movie when there was knock on her bedroom door. Thinking it was one of her brothers she didn't even pause the movie.

"Come in." She shouted.

Not turning she continued to watch 'The Devil Wears Prada'. She felt the bed shift as the person sat down. Looking over she jumped as she realized that Charlie Brown was sitting beside her.

"Char, you scaried me."

He smiled at her before looking back at the tv. She had never noticed before but he had a nice face. Her eyes shot back to the tv when this thought came to her mind. What was wrong with her today?

"So about the plan. I have an idea."

Lucy lookes back over at him. He had an idea?

"What kind of idea?" She questioned.

"Well, you want to make Schroeder jealous. To do that you need to make yourself unavailable."

"Okay." Lucy said hesitantly.

"What if you had someone play your fake boyfriend?"

A fake boyfriend? She had mentioned this idea to Violet but in more of a 'let's hint that she had a boyfriend' not actually get a guy to be her fake boyfriend.

"Who were you thinking?"

"Me. We could hold hands and stuff like that. Just when we were around school friends. Then he will not know what to do with himself. He will have to have you." He smiled at her.

The idea of Charlie Brown as her fake boyfriend made her stomach flip flop. Which made her want to say no. She shouldn't be having any confused feelings about her best friend.

"Ummm... I don't know. What about Becca?"

Charlie Brown rolled his eyes.

"We are just friends. Besides she is only in town for the weekend."

His answer shouldn't have made her happy but it did. She was just being selfish and she needed to stop.

"This is asking a lot of you, Char, I mean..."

"No it's not, I want to do this for you. Come on Lu. It will be fun and we will get to hangout a lot. Plus you will get the man of your dreams, win win."

"Win win." Lucy sounded less convinced.

She agreed to the idea even though her inner voice was screaming at her the whole time. They would "get together" on Tuesday, the actual day of Halloween. Three more days and she would have a fake boyfriend. Oh boy.
