Quick note: The raid on Azkaban happened in the beginning of Hermione's fifth year, due to Lucius getting arrested in an early raid after a newbie hit him by accident when fighting Aurors.
Chapter 2:
The Dark Lord was currently in the dinning hall of Malfoy Manor. He sat in his recently transfigured throne made out of wooden snakes that slithered against each other. The armrests had two large snake heads that hissed at irregular times, keeping the Death Eaters in a tense state. Above his head a left angel wing and a right demon wing bound in glowing chains. None of his followers, being the idiots that they were, knew nothing about the symbol and were too scared to question their leader.
Familiar spikes in the magic, signaled that his imprisoned Death Eaters were finally returning to his ranks. But even though he has freed them from Azkaban, does not mean they are free from punishment. He will start with the spineless Malfoy and work his way around the until all of his followers are doubled over in pain for their failures. When the group walked into the dinning hall, the Dark Lord surveyed their appearance. Their clothing, if one could call them that, were tattered, dirty and barely covered the followers private parts. And by the way Bellatrix and some of his other female followers twitched and clamped their legs together, it was not a stretch to say the guards had their fun.
Before he could give his opening speech and release the first curse, the hall doors bursts open with magic that left the Dark Lord temporarily stunned. In walked a woman wearing a cloak that hid away all her features. The horde of dementors that followed the woman, dared not break formation, even just to get the smallest taste out of the evil souls that surrounded them. "M...My Lord, this woman showed up at Azkaban, claiming you were expecting her." Lucius Malfoy said as he kneeled before the Dark Lord.
The Dark Lord hissed as he stared down his failure of a follower and ripped through his memories of the Azkaban escape. He could not get a good look of the woman's face and forcefully removed himself from his followers mind, causing the wizard to whimper in pain. "Show yourself only a coward covers their face in front of a Lord."
The woman started to giggle into her hand as she removed her hood with another. Bushy brunette hair was revealed, complemented by dark brown eyes, that flashed red so quickly that only the Dark Lord caught it. Thin lips curled into a trademark slytherin smirk as the giggling continued. "You have changed since the last time, Tommy."
"Sarah." The Dark Lord's eyes filled with shock as his one and only equal stood before him after disappearing all those years ago. He then surprised his followers as he leaped out of his throne and wrapped the woman in a tight hug. "Sarah. How are you here?" He whispered into her hair before he pulled away and held the Sarah's face in his hands.
"I will tell you later, first finish your meeting. I will be waiting in your rooms with Nagini." She whispered back into his ear before pulling away all together. She ordered the dementors to line up behind the Dark Lord's throne and not to attacking anyone unless he commands it. Sarah then turned her back to the Dark Lord and walked out the dining hall with Nagini slithering at her side.
Before the surrounding Death Eaters could digest the past few moments, the Dark Lord pointed his wand in Lucius' direction and released the Cruciatus curse. The battered man screamed and flayed around on the floor, begging for mercy as his wife and son looked on with stone faces. When he finally sat back down into his throne, the Dark Lord canceled the curse and started the meeting.
Dark Lord's Room:
Sarah sat on the bed she transfigured out of the chair by the fireplace. It wasn't anything extravagant, but that will be fixed at a later date. She had taken a soothing bath with her beloved shared familiar, drawing patterns on Nagini scales as the bond started to heal itself. After scrubbing off the layers of dirt and grime, and cleaning taming her hair, Sarah was ready for a quick nap, waiting for Tom to finish his meeting.
The large snake coiled around her waist before laying its head on her shoulder. "It has been a long time my little love. There is no need to protect my stomach anymore, she has not been in there for awhile." The snake hissed angrily, raising its head to look into the Mistress' eyes. Sarah sighed before pushing the snake's head back down. "She is still alive. Tom and I will find her and Dumbledore will pay." The heat from her familiar slowly guiding Sarah to the realm of sleep as she waited for her husband.
Three hours later, the Dark Lord walked into his private rooms to see his wife sleeping with his familiar wrapped around her body, protecting her from any intruders. He quietly moved onto the bed, the Dark Lord caressed Sarah's face as he stared and restudied all of her features. "You know we are going have to fix that snake face of yours. I am not kissing someone with no nose. Sorry love." Sarah said with her eyes still closed and moving her hand to rest over his. The Dark Lord chuckled.
"I am not too fond of my new looks either my Queen. How are you here? Where is the little one." He said as he pulled Sarah closer and ran his fingers down her arm.
"That is a long story Tommy, all you need to know is that our daughter was taken from us the day she was born and Dumbledore is at fault." Sarah said as she returned his light touch and entangled their fingers.
Tom hissed angrily, similar to Nagini's his from before, but kept his eyes away from Sarah's. "I am going to kill that bastard and destroy everything he loves, especially the Potter boy." The half angel half demon agreed silently as she pulled him further into the bed.
"First we will find our daughter, everything else can wait." They both fell into a deep sleep, dreaming for the first time in years.
King's Cross 9 ¾:
Hermione Granger sat in the train compartment by herself, reading a book on chinese runes. The boys had gone in search for the snack trolly, Ron wanted to make Harry feel better after the death of Sirius. Her friend had basically become an unresponsive mute. There were times where he only spoke in one worded answers even when in the heat of discussions. Hermione had told Ron to leave Harry alone, he needed time to process, but the redhead ignored her, believing that all Harry needed was a day of fun. Ginny agreed with her brother and tried at every turn to bring Harry into conversations that he would not want to participate in before Sirius had died.
The battle at the Ministry was intense and Hermione's scar that wrapped around her waist hurt every time her stomach expanded as she breathed. She told everyone she fine after having dozen of potions forced down her throat, but that was because she did not tell anyone about her spine feeling as though it was growing extra bones. Hermione knew they would keep her in the safe house over break to monitor her, but that was not an option. She had responsibilities in the muggle world that could not be ignored. Besides pain like this is nothing new, Hermione will push on and make it through the summer.
