Chapter 3:

Granger Household:

Hermione Granger woke up to a headache. Her head was pounding to the loud music playing down stairs. She saw her alarm clock that read 4:00 am. Groaning the witch teen stands gets up from her bed and heads to the connected bathroom to grab some pain medication. After swallowing two small pills, she heard a knock on her door and slowly made her way over. Hermione cracked the door open and slowly brought her eyes downward to see a small little figure. The music had gotten ten times louder and the little girl was plugging her ears.

"Can't sleep." Hermione said as she opened the door farther. The little one nodded her, while squeezing her favorite blanket. Hermione herded the little girl inside then closed and locked her door.

"Okay, ready? One, Two, Three." The teen let the lifted the little girl up onto her bed, before climbing in herself. They both got under the covers and snuggled close.

"Good night Mione."

"Good night Piper."

Hermione held out her hand and willed for everything to go quiet, effectively silencing her room for the rest of the night.

The next morning, Hermione woke up with the three year old Piper curled further into her body. She sighed as she slowly extracted herself from the bed and went to her bathroom to take a shower. Afterwards she walked back into her room to find the three year old still sleeping. Hermione dressed in a pair of jeans and a black shirt that reads 'Cobra Kai Dojo'.

"Time to wake up Piper. Let's get you dressed." The three year old groans and tried to burrow into Hermione's comfortable bed. Hermione pulled her out of the bed and placed her over the shoulder. The teen went back into the bathroom and turned on the bath. She helped her little sister get inside the bath and made sure the sleepy toddler was all clean. She grabbed a towel and dried off the girl before helping her brush her teeth. Once they were back in the bathroom, Hermione stood by the door and Piper still wrapped in the towel.

"Lock the door and don't open unless I use our special knock, ok?" Hermione order before leaving the room.

Thankfully the music had stopped, but the smell of booze filled the air. Walking down the hall and past three rooms, Hermione walked into Piper's room. It was decorated in all things Animaniacs, the toddler's favorite character being dot. Hermione pulled out a mini me outfit though it was a white Cobra Kai shirt. The witch teen made her way back to her room and performed the secret knock to be allowed inside.

"Here, get dressed and I'm going to check out the damage." Hermione walked back out the room and heard the door lock. The teen smiled and walked down stairs inspecting the damage as it came into view. The witch made her way into the kitchen, where she saw her "babysitter" passed out on the floor, surrounded by vomit and other fluids. Carefully stepping over the foul messes, Hermione turned on the kitchen sink and used to hose to wake up the babysitter.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Now my clothes are ruined." The babysitter said as she sat up, not bothering to look at the mess around her.

"Your clothes were already ruined, I cleaned you up." Hermione scoffed before opening a kitchen draw and lifting up the false bottom. Inside was $150 all in bills and rolled with a rubber band keeping it all in place.

"Here is your money. Take your friends and go."

Without looking back, Hermione made her way over to the phone and called a private cleaners company. Neuron Cleaning was a company that catered to the rich and covered up unsavory party messes. They would be at the house in twenty minutes, which caused Hermione to take a sigh of relief. Once the smell started to get to her, the witch just summoned the cereal, bowls, and milk and headed back up stairs.

Once she was back up stairs and she performed the secret knock on her bedroom door. Hermione turned on the tv and thankfully Animaniacs was on to distract the three year old. The two sisters ate their cereal in peace until there was a knock on the front door. Hermione told Piper that she did not need to lock the door this time as she went back down stairs.

"Good morning Clyde. Thanks for being here. If you find anyone still lurking around take them with you."

"Good morning Ms. Granger. It is apart of the job and we will make sure no undesirables are still here when we leave." Clyde replied with a smile planted on his face. The young man in his early twenties has been cleaning up her house since she was twelve and the babysitter started to watch Hermione and a baby Piper.

Checking the clock it was 9:30, meaning it was time to go. Hermione ran up stairs and packed one duffle bag and one small backpack, filled with martial arts gear. Getting Piper away from the tv was less of a challenge due to Animaniacs ending and some other show coming on. She left the house after giving Clyde instructions about locking up the property before getting in the car and telling the driver to head to the dojo.

The original Cobra Kai dojo opened the year Hermione was born she has been attending since she was five. She was able to pressure her parents into letting her attend, by not telling their secret adventures to her grandparents on both sides. Both sets of grandparents did not trust their only children with their money and forced them to get jobs while also limiting the money they could take out of the family accounts. If they ever found out her parents left Hermione and Piper alone, her grandparents would stop the cash flow and have custody before they could say 'Vacation'.

The Cobra Kai was martial arts was based in the martial arts Tang Soo Do, created by Chuck Norris in 1966. It was very popular in the USA and Sensei Joseph brought it to Britain when he moved here to help support and her new job position.

This will be Piper's first summer attending the dojo, though she has been there since she was a baby. The dojo used to be a rented space in a building, but with all of Hermione's donations it was now its own building with a large company that had out reach across the world. Piper was bouncing in her seat excited for her first day.

"Mione, will I get to Sensei Ricky?" Piper said from her car seat as she looked outside the window.

"Not this summer kiddo. He doesn't teach the beginner classes anymore. I signed you up with Sensei Lucas instead." Hermione replied as the driver pulled up to the building.

Piper pouted for a little bit before hopping out the car with her backpack. Hermione followed with her duffel bag and told the driver they would get a ride home with one of her friends. The driver drove off after telling Hermione to call if they needed anything. Walking into the tall building, the Granger girls checked into their respective classes.

"Be nice and follow the Sensei's instructions, okay?" Hermione said outside the beginners classroom for ages 3 and up. Piper nodded, ran inside and immediately started to talk to the other children. Hermione smiled before walking up to the third floor of the building, where the advance classes were held. The witch teen had her red belt and was on the verge of testing for her blue belt. She was a one of the youngest in her class, but what else do you expect from prodigy. Hermione walked into the locker room to change into her uniform with the other women in her class.

"Hey, Hermione. How are you doing today?" A woman named Lucy asked from three lockers down.

"Fine. My back is still causing me some problems though." Hermione said as she did some stretches to relieve some pain.

"Not trying to back out of our fight are you?" Lucy said with a slow forming smirk.

"You wish, I am going to have you on the mat before you even throw a punch." Hermione said as she walked out of the locker room and onto the dojo mat. Soon her other classmate came in and waited with her for Sensei Joseph to come in.

After 15 minutes of kneeling on the mats, the class was greeted by a tall men with dark brown hair and chocolate skin. It was Sensei Joseph and as he looked upon his newest red belt class he was pleased. "Good morning everyone. Let's get started."

Malfoy Manor

The Dark Lord stood in front of his most trusted followers with Sarah by his side. The Death Eaters were nervous, not only had their Lord kept his wife hidden, there is also a possibility he had an heir. Many of the Death Eaters, like Lucius Malfoy had hoped that one of their children would be given the honor of being his heir. But from the looks of things they might have to settle with their children being a spouse to the heir.

"First thing first, Severus approach us." The Dark Lord hissed in a neutral tone. The professor came to kneel in front of the Dark Lord, keeping his eyes on the ground. "I have a mission for you. Hold out your hand." Snape held out his hand and was surprised when soft female hand grasped his wrist. A knife then cut through his palm and all the Death Eaters watched as it evaporated.

"This will allow you to access my family library. Your instructions will be on the table, do not tell anyone you are working on." Snape nodded his head at the instructions and apparateed to get started on his mission. The other Death Eaters were starting to get excited, finally after years of faithful service, their Lord is trusting them with important missions.

"Malfoy and Nott, come forward." It took all the training the men had not to rush forward to kneel before their Lord. "Use your connections to the ministry to solve this problem." The Dark Lord handed both men a folded slip of paper and knew they should read it when they were alone. They took their leave after bowing low and paying their respects to their Lady.

This went on until all the Death Eaters had their missions and Tom and Sarah were left alone. "And how is your mission coming along?" Tom asked as he held his wife close. Sarah smiled before pulling out a small scroll.

"I found her. I feel her going through the transition. Give it a few weeks, when she was closer to her final stage it will be the perfect time to bring her home." Sarah said as she allowed Tom to read the scroll that had information on his daughter.

"Are you sure this is her? She is Potter's best friend and a Mudblood." Before he could do anything, Sarah slapped Tom across the face. She fixed a glare at him, the right eye going black, while the left went white.

"You will not doubt me Tom Riddle and you will stop using that word in this house, or so help me I will not put your soul back together." Tom growled back at his wife his own eyes turning red in anger. The Dark Wizard took a calming breathe, willing his magic to back down.

"I'm sorry for doubting you. I will work on not using the word. But you must understand from what I have heard from my men, Ms. Granger, while brilliant, is not powerful enough to be our child."

"Dumbledore is suppressing her magic and abilities. Once you see her, everything will become clear." With both of the powerful entities calmed down for the evening, they went about their plans. Tom had planned a raid with his followers to draw out some Order members, while Sarah was going to have a talk with the wives of the Death Eaters. She saw their support was lacking so she would see to it that they will help in this war in any aspect.

Hogwarts

Dumbledore sat angrily at his desk. He had heard about the Azkaban breakout, but he was not phased by that. He had been led to believe that only Death Eaters had escaped, but when Alastor went to visit Azkaban, it appears it was not the case. Not only were the dementors gone, but that creature was gone as well. There is no doubt that it ran back to Tom, giving him an enormous advantage. But Dumbledore still had the spawn of the creature. If all else fails, Hermione Granger will be the monster he needs to win the war.
