There was a series of odd occurrences happening in Sally's life, and for someone who had spent months in the Underworld with a god and two goddess for company that is saying something.
The start of these occurrences was a single black rose lying innocently on her dining room table when she had walked into the kitchen one morning.
This had shocked Sally because she did not know how it got there nor did she knew roses could be grown in such obsidian shades. Sally picked up the rose and placed it in a glass vase. The flower still has not started wilting.
The second odd occurrence was when she had walked into her bedroom after a shower and found a red silk dress laying across her bed with matching heels and accessories.
Sally had walked over to the dress and rubbed the material between her fingers. It felt expensive. She immediately hung it up in her closet, scared that with her clumsy nature she would end staining the expensive material, accidental or not.
The third occurrence was when she was walking home from the grocery store. Even though Sally now lived in a beautiful house that she did not have to pay for, it did not mean that she had the money to afford a car.
So she was shocked when she found a sleek purple Jeep with a large black bow in her driveway.
Opening the door to the vehicle she was surprised to find papers with her name on it and keys. Sally wrinkled her eyebrows. She did not remember signing up for a giveaway. She parked the Jeep in the garage and hung the keys up in the kitchen.
The most recent thing was a black AmEx card with a note that said 'spend however much you want, there is not a balance on it' on her kitchen counter. Sitting pristinely atop the newspaper she had been circling job listings in.
Sally could be called many things, however dense was not one of them.
Giggling, Sally picked up the card and the note and made her way back to her bedroom.
It looked like she was being courted.
Most people would assume that Hades was the stoic and calm one and that Persephone was the flighty and mischievous one.
Most people would be right.
However, they would also be wrong.
In many circumstances her husband was exactly as he portrayed himself, calm, cool, cruel, and together.
In many circumstances she was as she portrayed herself, flighty, mischievous, and fun loving.
These circumstances held true for many things, except one.
Love.
Whether it was Hadrian or Persephone, Hades always floundered when it came to love.
He was socially awkward and constantly scared of making the wrong move.
Thus why he had kidnapped her on their first meeting.
Persephone was straightforward with her love. She preferred to get right to the point. Showing the object of her affection in gifts and praises.
They both have not agreed on a romantic partner before, each preferring to go their own way. That was until the Pact was made. When the Pact was made Hades quit taking lovers, sticking exclusively with his wife.
Persephone, in loyalty to her husband, also swore off of affairs.
However the two both fell in love at the same time. With the same female mortal.
The female mortal mother of their son's mate.
They knew Hadrian would be upset with their courting if they were no genuine, however the two of them were smitten. They plan on taking Sally's hand in immortal matrimony. To integrate her into their marriage making her their Third.
But they have to woo her first.
The rose was Hades idea. A little piece of the Underworld that was undying. The thought behind the rose is that as long as the owners still held unconditional and pure love for the gifted then the rose would never die.
The dress was Persephone's idea. She figured a woman as beautiful as Sally needed something that could come close to matching her outer beauty. Persephone pouted when Sally hung her present up without wearing it. The mischievous goddess swore to have the dress on the floor next to her bed soon though.
The Jeep was Hades' idea. A practical gift for a practical woman. Sally walked everywhere without a way to get anywhere quickly. He figured that having something that would get her places would help her out in her everyday life.
The AmEx card was Persephone's idea. She did not like the thought of Sally working. If Sally was to work it would be, "with her head between my legs", in her own words. Hades had to hide a nose bleed after that. Persephone could only smirk at her poor, poor husband.
Hadrian cocks his head to the side, a shiver going down his spine.
"What is it?" Percy questions, stabbing his blueberry cheesecake.
"I just had a feeling like my parents were up to something." Hadrian says, rubbing the goose bumps from his arms. His tri colored eyes glancing around the camp sight, taking in the other campers like they might be threats to the god.
"Like, Lighting Bolt stolen up to something, or you walking in on them having sexy fun times up to something?" Percy asks, his eyebrow cocked.
Hadrian's face transitions between green, red, and white before finally settling on a mixture of the three. "Don't ever say anything like that to me ever again." He pleads.
Percy laughs, the expression on Hadrian's face too much to keep it in. "Oh my gods, you should have seen your face. Oh Zeus."
Hadrian glares at his boyfriend. "Don't ask for anything from me for the next week. No kisses, no cuddles, no nothing."
Percy's sea foam green eyes widen in shock. "No, Rian I was just kidding. I'm sorry. I take it back."
Hadrian sticks his nose up in the air. "Nope. You're in the Cerberus house. Don't talk to me."
Percy pouts until Hadrian leans over and kisses him, the demigod smiling into the kiss.
