Into the Woods

Chapter 39
Jake Black stood at the edge of the treaty line naked and seething.
He could smell the vampires in the distance and was contemplating his next move; whether or not he should step over the boundary line and seek out Bella, or if he should go back home like the other wolves, or confront the vampires in his wolf form.
Jake could he justify stepping over the line to get at them because Bella would be worth it. He could take her deep into the forests, hide her tracks easily… and he could probably keep her for an amount of time before they would even notice. Hell, even he couldn't smell her in the breeze and he knew her sweet scent anywhere, so it was a pretty viable plan.
With a smile, he moved forward and took a deep breath yet not smelling anything in his human form. He realized he would have to phase into the wolf if he were to find his Bella.
After all, none of the other vampires seem to be looking for her.
He would be a hero. Her savior.
Jake walked the line, careful not to go over it, thinking about the way her dark hair seemed to dance in the breeze and the way her dark, lusty eyes raked over his body as she took in his delicious form. He knew she was attracted to him, who wouldn't be? He could see it in the way her body shuddered around him and the musky smell of adrenaline and lust she emanated when he was close to her.
He imagined the way her delicate hands felt pumping him as he stood in the ferns and moss. He saw how beautiful she would look pressed up against the mossy granite rocks as he fucked her from behind. He imagined her panting breath begging for him.
Jake fell to his side, his visions more pronounced as he fantasized the way Bella's spine would curve as grabbed her tits, pulling and teasing the nipples. Her words jumbled, almost a deep cry as she screamed his name.
He snapped his jaw tight, the pressure in his aching jaw. He was so close to coming when he thought of Bella's light, porcelain neck as he leaned over her, biting her as she shuddered around him.
Jake cried out with an anguished howl as he tainted the forest floor, his body heaving as his legs shook and his knees dug into the soil before he lay backwards.
That had to mean something, right?
Having such intense feelings for someone just HAD to mean something!
Why else would she taunt him in his dreams?
How else could he see her so vividly in his head?
He just needed to be with her.
Kiss her.
Hold her.
Fuck her.
Claim her as his and everything would be different.
The bloodsuckers would go away, again.
He would have Bella anytime he pleased.
Maybe she could even live with Billy and him, helping around the house, and making them all food like Emily did for Sam.
Jake smiled, seeing the big picture.
He got up from the ground, shaking off the dirt.
It was decided.
He would find Bella and take her- right then and there and make her his mate.
With a deep growl, Jake ran over the thick forest floor before shifting into his wolf form midair with a ruffle and jerk of his body.
He let out a howl, deep in the forest, hearing the responding howls of his brother wolves and knowing they would see he was going to go find his mate, his Bella.
Treaty and restraining order be damned.
.
Victoria lay, watching as James stood on a high branch over her, watching with a disgusted sneer on his face.
She had been so wrong about him.
So wrong for so long.
She had once thought he loved her, thought he wanted to be with only her.
But as she saw time and time again the way he would be around others she couldn't help but think he changed her for a reason; because he felt something for her.
He obviously didn't.
Her head lay away from her body, but she was still cognitive enough to what was going on around her to know she was is a dire position.
She didn't even know what had happened to her to make her head detach the way it did.
It had to be the pressure and keening, what else could it be?
All she was trying to do was get at the Bella human!
James's perusal of her would cease if she was no longer there and that would leave Edward alone… for her.
She could see them together, running through the forest, laughing and chasing each other happily.
That is, if she could figure out how to get her head back on.
Victoria looked at James, pleadingly with him with her eyes but his were dark and full of rage pointed directly at her.
That was when something broke with in her.
Whether it was some kind of bind or connection to him snapped, she didn't know, but Victoria suddenly felt irrational rage seethe through her when he turned around and left her lying there alone.
His decision made.
It was then she saw her vision cloud over with a dark fog.
She couldn't scream.
She couldn't move.
She could only lay and wait for whatever fate had in store for her.
.
A seething, vengeful angel of death like Edward was terrifying.
Add in that he got to witness the sick fantasy starring his mate and the werewolf would put anyone into retched convulsions.
But Edward did see the fantasy and with a growl, bounded up from his chair to glare out the window of the Cullen house.
The treaty line was a little over a mile away and Jake had just decided to breach it to pursue Bella after all.
"Oh no!" Alice gasped, cupping her mouth as her body started to shake.
"The treaty has just been violated." Edward said in a low, ominous voice. "He's after Bella again."
"In more ways than one," Alice sneered with disgust. "Hazing clouds rain on my head, empty thoughts fill my ears, find my shade by the moon light, Why my thoughts aren't so clear," She started to shriek, her hands moving to cover her ears as she sat down on the couch.
"What's going on?" Rosalie demanded but was ignored.
Jasper was up in a second, his arms wrapping around his mate as she rocked back and forth. "Shh, Alice… it's okay." Jasper cooed as the others just looked on.
"Demons dreaming, Breathe in," She whispered a weird crying screech but without tears.
Edward moved forward watching the visions of Jake staring down at a decapitated Victoria. He sat the way he stared at her, naked and shaking over her with barely controlled anger.
'What's happening?" Esme cried, looking from Edward to Alice to Jasper. Jasper shook his head, He didn't know.
Edward hissed, seeing the way Jake stared at the vampire. He looked around the forest, seeing the dark fog dissipate around them. He could smell Bella somewhere in the area, but the scent was long gone.
Jake talking to Victoria as her vacant eyes just watched and waited.
Watched and waited.
Watched and waited.
"Breathe in, I'm coming back again," Alice cried softly, starting to relax as Jasper emanated a soothing ambiance over her. "So far away... I'm not the one who's so far away… I'm not the one who's so far away... I'm not the one who's so far away..."
Edward stood up as Alice's visions dissipated and addressed the rest of his family who watched the whole ordeal curiously.
"Bella's missing. She's not there with Victoria or Jake. Jake broke the treaty crossing the boundaries; he also left his, uh- essence there after fantasizing about Bella. Victoria was decapitated close to where Bella disappeared and Jake found her. He was saying something indiscernible to her, contemplating his next move to seek out Bella and claiming her."
"What's that all mean?" Esme sobbed.
"What about James?" Carlisle asked worriedly.
"When do we get to go after them?" Asked Emmett, "and find Bella?"
"I don't know! Bella wasn't in any of Alice's visions." Edward pulled at his hair, totally distraught. "She's not there, so she's safe with the Fae I think, but still I can't see her. I can't see her." He sobbed as his family looked on with abject fear.
.
Bella lay within a nest of soft ferns and mosses that was draped with little gifts of flowers, leaves and, fragrant healing oils. She slept soundly; only her head and shoulders were visible, but not really. She was completely protected by the Fae who concealed her from any animals or predators nearby.
One fairy had bit her fingers the last time that Bella held it and those little slivers of crescent silver venom seemed to glow luminous in their presence. But when she was led away, they quickly concealed their human and bit at her ferociously.
Bella's screams fell on deaf ears, hidden by the keening of the Banshee.
But now, Bella slept through her change as little flutters of wings kept the oxygen rotating from within the deep nest as other Fae collected an array of edible berries and leaves for Bella for when she would finally wake.
Suddenly there was a rustling wind with several twigs breaking, alerting the Fae of a new presence. They quickly assumed their positions, lying wing to wing over Bella's body, keeping her invisible as the thick panting of a wolf came closer.
There was a sudden stillness in the forest as the wolf sniffed around. His red hair was matted and he smelled awful, but the Fae remained still in their positions as he came too close.
The wolf lay on the ground with a huff, oblivious.
Soon, with a huge yawn, the wolf closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
The oldest fairy, one of the two fairies that came with Renee from Ireland looked at the wolf as he slumbered.
He didn't seem like the other wolves in the forest.
Perhaps he was something more… human?
All the sudden the wolf bound up with a growling sneer, looking around the forest.
It was then, with one eye tilted toward the trees that the invisible Fae turned to see what he could be looking at.
Deep into the forest, it looked like a form sat high in the trees. He seemed to be watching something below for several moments before he finally stood up and moved away, jumping onto the ground over a barely visible vampire lying on the ground. His hair, dark and matted hung over his shoulders, coving his face, but the Fae knew they had seen him before. Except the last time they were all together… connected.
They watched as the male suddenly sniffed at the air around them, looking directly at the wolf and then past him. It was then the male jumped back into the trees and away from the other, still lying on the ground.
It was then a dark fog sifted forward, over them and toward the figure.
But the wolf was suddenly interested, unseeing the dark fog and trotted toward the figure on the ground.
The dark fog fell way after being disturbed, back into the surrounding trees as if lying in wait.
The wolf sniffed the ground around the figure, perking its ears in alert, before moving back over the being.
The fairies watched, not sensing any danger, as the wolf sat at the head of the body and growled at it.
Birds scattered, squawking their annoyances, as the wolf suddenly-

Y'all hate Renee and wanted her to die. LOL… But she's undead for a reason. Everything happens for a reason. Probably.
