Dean found Scotty in the atrium teaching a yoga class. He was surprised to see three of the participants were Alphas and a Beta mixed in with the Omegas and ladies. He hoped these males took the Scotty's class in order to improve themselves through yoga but the pessimistic realist inside Dean wondered if it had more to do with the teacher than the subject.
Scotty, clad in black, stretch fabric shorts and nothing else, performed a new pose where he went to his knees and lowered his chest to the mat, arms extended out in front of him. "This is uttana shishosana or extended puppy pose…good for the spine, everyone follow along remember your breathing…allow the energy to flow freely."
Scotty had tot bookends; Alex and Grace were trying their best to mimic his moves. They looked ridiculously adorable with diapered butts in the air. It wasn't until Dean laughed that anyone noticed him. Grace scrambled to her feet and ran to her mommy, grabbing him around the knees.
He scooped her up and peppered her with kisses as his baby girl giggled. "Why didn't you come runnin' when Baby rumbled into the driveway?"
Grace waved a chubby hand toward Scotty, "yogurt."
"Ah, I see, you were doing yogurt. Ok, you're forgiven."
Scotty called for a short break. Graceful and athletic, the Omega moved more like a gazelle than a human as he crossed the atrium to Dean, with a big smile on his face. "I've got Gracie all packed and ready to go."
Dean held up a brown paper bag, "I brought you moose tracks ice cream."
The blonde knew that sheepish grin on Dean's face meant he was going to ask a favor, "What's up with the brib?"
"I've got something living in the basement aaaand I wanted to know if Grace could stay longer… plus I need to borrow my brother."
"Sure. What is it, a raccoon or something?"
"No."
"Mmm, ok. But just so you know, my heat is pretty close and I was going to ask you to take Alex and Sam for me so I can get my freak on with my hot daddy, cause I want a baby put in me, stat." Scotty lightly ran his hand over his rock hard abs, "I've got a good feeling that by this time next year, Alex will have a little brother or sister. His expression went soft and dreamy, "Maybe twins…god, I'm horny and feelin' fertile."
Scotty stepped behind Dean and slipped his arms around the Omega's waist. Dean felt long, cool fingers creep under his tee then lightly tease the taut flesh while one finger circled his belly button. The taller Omega bent down to speak directly into his ear, "We could be pregnant together like last time…a bonding experience," Scotty placed a soft kiss against Dean's neck, "would you like that, Dean? Think how pleased our Alphas would be."
The charged moment was broken by the sound of a bottle of Evian falling to the tile floor. The Omegas looked in unison for the source and found the Alpha and Beta males watching the pair with a mix of lust and curiosity.
Dean rolled his eyes, "You assholes gettin' a good look?"
They ignored the teenager but when Scotty gave the three a withering glance and the men scurried back to their yoga mats.
Dean was impressed, "How the hell did you make them do that? Teach me the secret!"
"It's a combination of my height, looks and the power I project. You've got it in you, Dean; you're tall, fit and beautiful with plenty of attitude so it just takes practice. This skill will serve you well throughout your life."
Dean gave it a try by cocking an eyebrow and doing his best to give a hard stare while his arms were folded in front of him, "How's that?"
"Excellent! Don't forget to widen your stance…take up some room, don't allow them think they own the area, this space is yours now rule it."
Dean widened his stance, "Yeah, this feels good."
Scotty rubbed his biceps, "You're so good at this I just got the chills."
Dean looked around the beautiful atrium then to the dozen students waiting for their teacher, "how long have you had classes?"
"This is only my second one and it will be the last, Spencer had a fit when he found out I had people from the neighborhood in our atrium," Scotty gave a sad sounding sigh, "I guess if I can't have a studio of my own somewhere else then I'm done teaching. Sam suggested I become a fitness model on something called Instagram. Did you know companies will actually pay someone to model their athletic clothing?"
"I think you should go for it."
The Omega shrugged, "Maybe, my heart is in fitness." Scotty switched gears, "Oh, I almost forgot, I baked you a pie but I'll leave it here. I want you and Castiel to stay here until that thing in the basement is gone."
"But…"
"No buts." Scotty gave him the look, "Remember Dean, I've got three inches on you…and I'm taller."
….
"This is a prime example of why it's good to have a backup plan and not depend on writing smut romance for a living." Castiel waved a copy of "Dangerous in Plaid" put out by Amazonian Publishing and most likely green lit by Barbara Leech. He stabbed a finger at the cover art of a muscular hunk clad only in a kilt, bending a delicate looking; raven haired Omega toward the ground. The Alpha's expression was intense and the Omega's was wanton.
A girl in the back spoke up, "But "Dangerous in Plaid" sold like hotcakes, people love romantic, sexy novels."
It was a Monday on the last week of school and the teacher had decided he was going to softball every single class. He allowed the students to ask questions or give their opinions on anything remotely related to writing, English, languages, etc.
"You are correct, there is money to be made with romance novels but you need to live in the adult world for awhile and accumulate some life experiences before delving into this competitive field. For every successful romance novelist there are hundreds that fail. This is not a field for the faint of heart."
Cas' phone began to vibrate in his pocket, sending a tingle to his manhood. He turned away from the class and checked the screen, "Dean."
"Dean, I'm in the middle of a class…yes, I'll pick up pizza for dinner…in the basement…what is it…ok…no I can't leave early…no, you are not allowed to go in there by yourself…good, leave Grace there," he lowered his voice, "yes, I'm wearing my navy suit…yes I have underwear on…I-I don't think that's legal or humanly possible…yes we can try it…love you too."
When he turned back to his students their hands shot up and yet again, no one waited to be called on. The teens tossed around comments like, "Sounds like Mr. N has plenty of living under his belt", "you should write a romance novel", "Ha ha, Mr. Novak calls his Omega "kitten" and "how come Dean didn't have to go to school today and finally, "what's in the basement?"
Even if the teacher wanted to answer that last question he couldn't, even Dean didn't know what was lurking in their home.
….
Gustavo, Javier's first cousin, pressed his hand against the old brick blocking the supposed root cellar, "Shouldn't be too hard to take down." He looked around the dank basement, "Are you sure it's ok to be here, Benny?"
The Cajun nodded, "Cas said we could start anytime."
"I'm coming!" Javier, dressed in cutoffs, work boots and a black T-shirt with a butch looking unicorn on the front, stumbled down the stairs. The tool belt he insisted on wearing, possibly weighed more than he did.
Benny watched with concern as his wife dragged a sledgehammer across the room and then dropped it right in front of Benny, "Darlin', you didn't have to come, this is my business and your job is handling the office work involved with our little company. You've got a head for numbers and organization, that's where I need you."
The petite Omega quickly twisted his long, dark hair into a bun, securing it with a hair pin. "Yeah, I know but I need to get the feel for what you guys do. Plus this is for Cas and Dean so I want to help out."
Gustavo poked his little cousin in the ribs and laughed, "Perrito, this is men's work."
Javier verbally laid into his relative. Benny understood little of what they said and wisely stayed out of it. He lifted the sledgehammer over his head as if it were a feather and struck the brick with all his might, knocked a large hole in the wall.
Benny shined a flashlight inside the hidden room, there seemed to be no signs of caving or crumbling and the support beams looked sturdy though that remained to be seen. "I wonder why anyone would brick up this room."
Javier took the flashlight and bravely stepped into unknown.
"Wow, there is a cement floor with some kind of funny looking symbols painted on it and there are lots of shelves lined with canning jars, there's a whole wall of filled wine bottles, there are casks and some barrels, crocks and…hey there's a tunnel."
It went quiet.
"Honey, talk to me."
Benny heard his mate scream.
…
Sam felt this day couldn't get any better. Dean picked him up early from school and a bunch of kids got to see him get inside the Impala with his cool big brother at the wheel.
"Can we get a pizza for dinner, Dean?" As if it were a given, Sam requested extra mushrooms and anchovies because they were healthier than pepperoni. Dean questioned aloud how they were even brothers because no brother of his would want fish on a pizza and extra vegetables.
"We can get pizza after."
"After what, exactly?"
"There's something in the basement I need to get rid of and I need your help." Dean felt kind of bad when Sam's big, dimpled grin faded.
"I'm guessing it's not a rat. Is it a ghost?"
"Dunno, probably. I laid a line of salt in front of the wall so I hope it's still in there and not rampaging around the house." He grumbled, "Don't need some friggin' ghost messin' up my place."
Sam touched his brother's forearm, "I miss this. Just us doing things together, I just wish it was normal brother stuff."
"Me too, Samantha, but we aren't all that normal."
Sam withdrew his hand and turned to look out the passenger window, feelings slightly wounded. Dean glanced over at his baby brother who really wasn't such a baby anymore, Sam would only be a freshman in the fall and already he had an inch on Dean though the kid was skinny.
Dean could see a strong, handsome man in the making, "He's gonna be a heartbreaker someday."
"Sorry, Sammy, I know what you mean, I miss you too and I think we've got some pretty normal lives most of time. After this creature in the basement crap and graduation is over how about we do a mini road trip again like last year?"
There were those dimples again, "Really? Yeah, that would be cool."
Dean wasn't a person who enjoyed delving into other peoples touchy, feely emotional problems but he could sense there was something eating away at Sam. If he didn't ask now, Sam would be sure to share it later. Plus Sam was his little brother and when Sam was hurting, by extension, so was Dean.
"Sammy, is there something you want to talk about?"
Sam picked furiously at a hole in his jeans while avoided eye contact, "Alfies' mom is moving them away to go live with his grandma, she's sick again and his mom said it's just easier for them to go live with her. I guess the grandma has a nice big house."
"Dude, that sucks."
"He's the only person I've ever dated and plus he's my best friend. I don't share any of the weird stuff with people outside of the family except for Alfie, I don't trust anybody else."
"I totally get that. I guess this be harder especially since he's the only person you ever did it with. It'll make the break up worse."
Sam's head snapped up, "We never did it, Dean. We messed around, sure, but not that. I heard Omega virginity is a big deal and that it's more complicated than girls because Omegas have all the bells and whistles down there. Plus they get pregnant a lot easier than girls because females have fertility problems. Scotty said sex is a big deal and I should be ready for it in my heart and my head, not just ready with my penis but that he'd support me when I thought the time was right."
"Huh, that sounds like Scotty. So what did Spencer tell you?"
"He said he'd buy me some condoms so I could go for it."
Dean chuckled, "Figures. Well all I can say is you're young…"
"You were knocked up at fifteen."
"As I was saying, you're young and I think there will be plenty of people along the way that will fall for you so enjoy yourself but play it safe. Don't worry, someday you'll find a special person you can confide in outside of the family." He playfully punched Sam in the shoulder, "feel better?"
Sam shrugged his slim shoulders, "Yeah. Life sure is complicated."
"Preachin' to the choir."
…..
When Dean pulled up to the farmhouse he found Castiel already there, standing next to Benny's work truck and talking to a stranger. Dean parked Baby and in a flash was at his husband's side with questions aplenty.
Castiel explained he'd given permission for Benny to start work on the basement whenever the man had the time. They had knocked open a section of the brick and Javier, being the smallest, went inside.
Gustavo, hands trembling as he lit a cigarette, jumped in with the rest of the story. "Javi, he started screaming and there was so much noise," he took a drag on the cigarette and exhaled, "Benny opened the wall even more so we cound get inside and…and we found Javi on the ground, his body on the floor in the center of this circle," Gustavo wiped his eyes, "Javi said there was a man with black eyes…then he passed out. Benny called an ambulance and then called Castiel. Benny took my truck and told me to stay until Castiel showed up." The shaken man pointed to the house, "I'm not going back in there."
Before Cas could stop him, Dean took off for the house. Sam stayed behind to load up on hunting gear while Castiel followed Dean inside. He reached the basement seconds after Dean and found his wife already inside the room.
"Dean, get out of there!"
"I'm fine."
Castiel cautiously stepped inside and there was Dean, standing inside a devil's trap. The young Hunter pointed to the outer edge where a small bit of paint had chipped away from the falling brick, "It got out."
"What got out?"
"The demon that was trapped inside."
…
The doctor told Benny to leave the examination room so he could speak with Javier in private. As soon as the big Alpha left, Dr. Stapleton questioned bruised up Omega.
She placed a hand on the young man's shoulder and smiled kindly at him, "How did you get these bruises?"
Javier touched a finger to his busted lip, "I told you, some bricks fell on me."
You can confide in me, if your Alpha did this we can keep you safe. You don't need to be scared."
His big, pretty eyes flickered from brown to black then back again. The doctor stumbled back a step. "I told you, bitch, I'm fine."
Javier's head fell back and the doctor watched in shock as a ribbon of black smoke trailed out his mouth.
…
When Dr. Stapleton stepped out of the room Benny, angry at being separated from Javier, demanded to know how his mate was.
The doctor smiled at him, "He's fine." She left without another word and headed for her office.

A/N- When Scotty said, I've got three inches on you…and I'm taller." I actually picked up that line from Jared Padalecki. He said, "I've got three inches on Jensen and I'm taller." Then he gave a naughty wink. (yup, it's true, folks)
