Jack poked his head into the living room to check on the sleeping couple and smiled when he saw that Dylan was awake. He walked in and sat down on one of the armchairs before he cleared his throat to get his son's attention. He shook his head at his son when he saw him start to sit up further. "Stay like you are, Dylan. I don't think that either of us want Brenda waking up right now because she does need the sleep."

Dylan nodded and kissed Brenda's head before he looked back at his dad. "I had a feeling that you weren't dead, but I wasn't sure if I should look for you or not. Thank you for being here for Brenda since I couldn't be. I hate that she felt like she had to leave her home because of what I did. When I learned that I didn't sleep with Kelly like I thought I did my heart felt like it was going to beat itself out of my chest. I can't believe the links Kelly went to, to make sure she got me. When I found out she was pregnant the world stopped until I realized that she was pregnant with my babies. In all honesty I didn't even think it was possible that she was pregnant by someone that who wasn't me because I couldn't see a life where I wasn't the father of Brenda's children. Hell, even when I was with Kelly supposedly, I always thought of Brenda. She's the light of my life and I don't want anyone but her."

Jack's eyes flashed in anger. "Dylan, I'm not surprised about the links that Kelly went to just to get you. She has always been obsessed with you but made sure to hide it from you and from your friends. She wanted you and it didn't matter what she had to do to get you. When you got serious with Brenda as quickly as you did Kelly hated it and I could see that. I didn't tell you because I thought that you wouldn't believe me. I just never truly thought she would do everything that she has done. I may not have been there with you, but once I got to Brenda's side here I had a private investigator I know follow Kelly around to make sure that she couldn't do anymore damage to you and others than she had already done."

Dylan swallowed hard. "I've lost so much time with Brenda and I hate it, dad. I'm not sure that I'll ever forgive myself for not being with her when she found out she was pregnant. I hate that I've missed so damn much of her pregnancy."

Jack shook his head. "You haven't missed as much as her pregnancy as you think you have, Dylan. Yes, you may not have been by her side, but she has recorded every step of her pregnancy so that you can watch it. Hell, she even had her doctor appointments recorded so that you could see everything. She's missed you just as much as you've missed her. She hated being away from you, Dylan, but she also felt like she needed to prove to herself that she could live without you even though it just about killed her. You have a strong woman, son, and I really can't wait for you two to tie the knot because then legally she becomes mine as much as she is Jim's."

Dylan snorted. "I plan to have her become Mrs. Dylan McKay as soon as we can get it planned. I've been without her way too long and I don't want to miss the chance of making her my wife."

Jack smirked. "I told her a while back that you were ready to propose to her and have been almost since you met her. She kind of looked at me like I was crazy. I'm looking forward to being able to tell her I told you so."

Dylan laughed. "I have a ring that I carry around, so I'll probably be proposing sooner rather than later to Brenda, dad. I had the ring custom made because nothing I looked at felt right so I commissioned one to be made. I think that she'll love it and I think that it will look good on her finger. I'm pretty sure that I've known she's the one for me since I first saw her standing at her locker on her first day of school at West Beverly. I don't know why I fell for Kelly's lies, but damn am I happy that they were lies."

Jack snorted. "I'm happier than hell that they were nothing but lies too, son. I hate to think what you would have caught had you actually had sex with Kelly Taylor. I need to let you know some things before we wake Brenda up to eat and then you two can retire to her bedroom."

Dylan raised an eyebrow at his dad even as he ran one of his hands gently across Brenda's stomach where one of the babies was kicking. "What's up, dad?"

Jack grinned. "John will be here in the next day or two because he'll be flying back with us to Beverly Hills. Besides that, once we are back in Beverly Hills there is going to be a lot of things going down. Kelly will be served with restraining orders for you, Brenda, and the babies at the high school. Brenda also has an interview scheduled with a reporter where she plans to let everything that Kelly did be known. You are not to try to stop her because I'm sure that this is just one of the things that she needs to do to get closure on the mess that Kelly made. Let her do what she feels she needs to in order to be able to close that chapter of her life, son."

Dylan nodded. "I'll be beside her the whole time. I won't stop her from doing what she needs to do, dad, but she won't be doing it alone. Kelly has messed up all of our lives because of her lies and tricks. I think we all need closure because she caused us all grief in one way or another."

Jack nodded thoughtfully. "That is true. Christine should be here soon with some food for everyone. The others have started packing some of Brenda's things up so that we're not rushing around. I'll leave you to wake Brenda up and we'll see you in the dining room in about twenty minutes."

Dylan nodded again and watched as his father got up and walked out of the living room. He looked back down at Brenda in his arms and couldn't help but smile. He really did love her with everything he had. He couldn't believe that he had almost lost her and silently promised himself and her that he would spend the rest of his life showing her just how much he loved her. He couldn't wait until they were back in Beverly Hills and in their new home. He couldn't wait to live with her for the rest of his life. He waited a few minutes before he woke her up as he thought about how he wanted to propose to her. He wasn't sure how he wanted to pop the question, but he knew that he wanted to ask her to marry him before the left to fly back to Beverly Hills. He wanted to start their lives in Beverly Hills as an engaged couple to prove to Kelly that no matter what she did that he would always end up with Brenda. He wanted to make sure that it got through Kelly's head that he loved Brenda and only Brenda. He wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Brenda was the only one for him and that he would never look at anyone other than her.

He kissed Brenda on the head and then slowly woke her up. Once he was sure she was awake he kissed her deeply and then helped her to stand up before he stood up himself. He led her to where he could hear the others with an arm wrapped around her waist and his right hand gently splayed across her stomach. He couldn't help but thank God that he was right where he wanted to be and with who he wanted to be with.
