Name: Lee/Kim Yeon-hwa

Portrayed: Z. Hera (Ji Hye-ran)

Character: very strong-willed, bright, optimistic, resourceful, determined, kind, compassionate, fairly independent, humble, fierce and brave.

Yeon-hwa is a half-breed (it's a term for aristocrat (jin-gol)-lower class offspring), her father Lord Kim Wi-hwa is jingol at birth while her mother Lee Seol is a servant (just like Ah-ro). She is a female Hwarang warrior and trains the Hwarang Warriors along with Princess Sook-myung. She acts like a general. Growing up to be a generous and beautiful person, she strives to learn a lot of things. She learned to be a physician from Ah-ro's father, so she could help Ah-ro with the Hwarang warriors and their wounds as well as how to cook a decent meal for the injured. With the help of Princess Sook-myung, she learned basic self-defense, swordsmanship, and archery. She became best friends with Ah-ro, Sooyeon and Princess Sook-myung.

After seeing how unfairly the peasants were being treated compared to the commoners in the city, she grew to dislike titles. Especially the unfair ranking Bone Rank system that was created. She believes that all people are born equally, they should be treated fairly with respect, and the poor are not even allowed to come into the capital. Yeon-hwa wanders around the kingdom of Silla hoping for a change. As time passes, Yeon-hwa encounters a person who would change her life forever...His name is Kim Soo-ho.

~Author's Notes~

Sorry if it's too short...I hope you enjoy it. Hwarang is one of my favorite Korean dramas! After watching Z. Hera on Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, I thought she would be perfect for my character in Hwarang. I also thought she would be perfect with Minho from SHINee if she was in the drama.
