""Having somewhere to go is home. Having someone to love is family. Having both is a blessing." – Unknown
When Castiel returned home he found the house strangely silent. That is until he heard Dean bellowing his name from somewhere upstairs. Cas took them two at a time as he worried something terrible had happened to Dean or the children.
Cas found him in Jack's room, sitting on the desk chair with one leg over the other and his arms folded, meaning the Omega was angry and shut off from reasonable conversation.
Jack sat on the edge of his bed, clutching a t shirt and staring defiantly at his mother.
Dean waved his hand at their son and growled; "Now I know why his room smelled weird. I found a boys stinky shirt under Jack's pillow. What I wanna know is, who gave it to you and why. No, scratch that, I know why."
Jack snapped back, "His shirt isn't stinky! This is my room and you had no right to snoop around."
"If you would have changed your sheets like I asked you to I wouldn't have found it, smartass. Who owns the shirt?"
Castiel inwardly sighed; this was not going to end well.

The small living room was dark except for the glow of instant fireplace flickering away on their 32" dinosaur of a flat screen. The meal went as planned; Sam enjoyed it, complementing Alfie several times. Nothing earth shattering was brought up and the few words they exchanged bordered on the mundane. Sam brought their desserts to the living room where both devoured the fruit tart after settling in together on the sofa.
Afterward would have usually ended with Alfie riding Sam till they were both drained and sated. If that couch could talk, the tales it could tell. Well mated pairs had similar sex drives and these two were a perfect match. Not tonight though, because there was too much unspoken between them.
Sam broke the ice, "I know there's something you're not telling me and it's been going on for at least a month and don't deny it. You're acting off and you smell and taste different. The last few weeks either you're gorging yourself or you feel sick. I lived with lies almost half my life and I don't want us to be like that. Alfie, you know you can trust me with anything.
Alfie reached into the pocket of his robe, pulled something out and pressed it in Sam's hand. The Alpha held up the plastic stick from the pregnancy test and turned on the lamp. His eyes widened when he spotted the two pink lines.
"Are you-I mean is this a…a baby?!"
The Omega's voice carried little emotion, "The test is supposed to be ninety nine percent accurate so I guess I am. I wanted to be sure before I said anything." He stared straight ahead at the TV, waiting for whatever fallout might come.
Sam pulled the stoic Omega to him, caressing and kissing Alfie until his body melted against Sam's. After carrying this burden alone and finally getting it all out into the open allowed him tears of relief.
"Fifi, don't cry. Sure, this is a surprise but a happy one."
"You're not upset? We really can't afford a kid and I know you didn't want one right now."
Sam was all smiles and dimples when he looked down at his little Alfie, "Some the best moments in life aren't planned, they just happen. I found you again and now we're going to have a baby. You know what; this is all I've ever wanted, a stable family of my own and to be a dad…a great dad. I promise you, we will work this all out, together."
Sam opened the oversized robe and blew a raspberry on Alfie's belly and that always made the Omega laugh hysterically, he was terribly ticklish. Sam got the response he wanted and stopped when Alfie begged for mercy.
"Do you think the baby felt you laughing?"
"I think the baby feels everything."
Just the thought of his progeny growing inside the person he loved most in the world, blocked any worries Sam might have had. There would be plenty of time for worry later. Right now all Sam wanted was to enjoy this moment.

Castiel asked Dean to be quiet and allow Jack to talk. Dean shot his husband a dirty look but kept his lips zipped.
The baby Omega dropped his defiant façade, the only protection, now that he knew his dad was on his side, at least for the time being.
Jack decided to tell his parents everything and let the chips fall where they may. He was ready to take his punishment, whatever it would be.
"The day I started presenting, Beau Lafitte came over to see Grace but she wasn't here. You know Beau is like family so he walked right in and went upstairs. He saw me…you know, bleeding and all that. It scared him, I guess, because Beau ran out of the house after that."
Dean snorted, "Not before he got a good look."
Castiel gave his wife a warning growl and got one right back.
"Remember the pool party at Grandma and Grandpa's house and I was stuck inside?"
Castiel nodded.
"Beau and I talked through the screen and it was really nice…he was nice."
Dean stayed quiet though his fingers tightened around the arms of the desk chair.
"At the July 4th cookout everyone was ignoring me. You both were busy. The older kids were ok to me but I know that's because I'm the little brother. I don't really have any friends of my own because I'm weird so they're all I've got."
Dean's anger subsided upon hearing how his own son viewed himself. "You're not weird, you just take after your dad, a deep thinker and you see the world differently from other kids. That makes you awesome in my book."
"Nice of you to say, Mom, but I know what I am and I've learned to be ok with it. Weird isn't bad and I wear it like a badge of honor now. I am what I am."
His father placed a comforting hand on Jack's back. This brought up memories of himself at Jack's age, the awkward, odd boy out.
"Anyway, I was feeling lonely and left out. This older guy, Clark, took a walk with me then we sat and talked for a little while. All of a sudden he grabbed me and tried to kiss me but I punched him in the crotch and that stopped him cold."
A proud mother Dean hugged his son, "Good going, Jack. All that heavy bag work paid off." He crouched in front of Jack and placed a hand on the boy's face, "If anything bad had happened to you I'd never forgive myself. I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you."
Jack gave his mom a boyish grin, "It was ok, Mom. Beau had my back. He kept watch over me and if anything really bad had gone down I know he would have saved me but it turned out I didn't need saving. It felt good to know Beau was there the whole time and he really cares."
Dean still felt like taking away the heavily scented t shirt Jack clung to like a life preserver but he didn't. "Why do you have Beau's shirt then. A boy doesn't give something like this to friend; a piece of clothing means more than that."
Jack never lost his smile, the memory of kissing Beau just made him too damn happy. " I took him to the bridal wreath path where we talked about all sorts of things and learned so much about each other. When the path ended Beau and I kissed…really kissed and it was just the best thing that ever happened to me. He walked me back to the house and before he left he gave me his shirt. It was all very romantic."
Dean got up and walked out of the room. He knew if he didn't leave immediately he was going to explode. Castiel followed.
This left Jack to wonder what his parents were going to do now that the truth was out.
