Prt 3/6

"Dee-alur, Con-tiiiaactss, and Faaavuuriitss...? ...Huh?"

I don't think I'm going to be able to figure out how the whole number thing works so one of these top buttons will have to do. The button labeled "Dialer" is blue unlike the other two so I think I already have that one showing up with it being all of these numbers at the bottom. Let's see here... how about... "Favorites"? I tap on the Favorites button at the top and the whole screen then switches to what looked like a big list with names on it. Ok, I think I'm getting somewhere. ...I think.

The list showed a bunch of names on it that were difficult to read. "Leanna, Micaiah, Anna, James..." There's quite a few names actually. I turn myself around and put my back to the side of Mary's bed and sit down with me still staring at her phone in my hands. None of these names say Mary on them. I don't think I can really call her with this. But maybe... some of these other people can do that. "Leanna." I think that's how you spell her name. If anyone, Leanna will know where Mary went. I mean, they are sisters after all. I move my finger over and press the "Leanna" button, hoping that that button will call her. Although when I moved my hand back to hold the phone with both of my hands, I notice something about the name it was showing when the screen changed. "Micaiah." Wait, I didn't press that one. I chose the "Leanna" one. The phone began to start making a ringing noise in my hands.

"Uh oh. Uh, how do I go back? How do I go back?!"

I looked at the screen of the phone now showing different buttons than before. They all had weird icons on them with weird words that I didn't understand. I began to panic a little and quickly pressed one of them in hopes that it would make it stop. The ringing noise then paused.

"...Did that work - ?"

*RIIINNGGGG!*

"ACK - !"

I dropped the phone onto the ground with it facing front side up. That didn't stop it, it made it louder! I began to panic more when then I stood up and reached over to pick up the phone. But before I could touch it, the ringing sound stopped, and a strange voice emitted from the phone on the ground.

"Hello?"

I stood there in silence with my arm reached out above the phone, now regretting for digging into any of Mary's stuff.

"Helllooo? Anyone there?" The phone sounded again.

Wait a minute. That voice. It sounds almost like -

"M-Micaiah?" I spoke to the phone on the ground.

A girl's voice continued to emit from the phone. "Wha - ? Wait, who is this?"

"Micaiah! It's me! Charmer!" I shouted excitingly at the phone.

"Wait a minute, a Charmander... ...Charmer?"

"Yeah!" I say with a big smile on my face.

"Charmeerrr... What are you doing on the phone?" Micaiah asks back.

"Oh. Well I was trying to call someone to help me look for Mary."

She pauses for a second. "Uhm, oh boy - " she whispers, "well, hey Charmer. Is Mary there? Do you think you can put her on the phone?" She asks louder this time.

"Oh. Well I just said I was looking for her. I can't really find her myself." I explain back to her.

"Aha." She laughs nervously, "I'm... sorry, Charmer, but I can't really understand what you're saying."

A sudden realization hits me in the head, and I slap my hand to my forehead. I completely forgot. No one else can understand what I'm saying. Only Mary.

"Oh. Right..." I respond back to Micaiah. "I completely forgot."

Just as I'm listening for Micaiah to respond back, I hear another voice on the other end of the phone call, calling out to what sounds like they're speaking to Micaiah.

"Yeah yeah, I know!" Micaiah yells back to the voice. "Well, I'm sorry Charmer, but I got to go. But let Mary know I'll call her back later on, ok?"

"Ok..." I say disappointingly.

"See ya, Charmer!"

The phone stops emitting sound, ending with a few beeps. And I'm left there disappointed that my one lead to finding Mary was gone. Of course, with me being a Pokémon, no one can understand what I'm saying. Just "Charmander" over and over again. I drop to sitting on the ground with the phone in front of me. There has to be something else I can do though. Something else that can tell me where Mary went. I turn to my right to look behind me at Mary's bed, still empty with nothing but blankets. I look back down at the ground underneath her bed, when then I noticed a small box sitting there in the dark.

Mary's Box.
