Last night was a very painful turn of events pertaining to Ms. Madeline Sawyer. She literally had to face her demons head on both mentally and physically to which those events would live on for a very long time. From darkness comes light when the Hayleys came to Maddie's rescue and took her to a medical premise at the retreat. "Where...where am I…" asked Maddie as she begins to get up from her slumber at her bed. Her body has some bruises and bandages attached to it as a result of last night's events. "You're in a medical facility at this moment ma'am" replied one of the nurses. "A couple of people took you in late last night after they noticed you got hurt outside in the woods late at night. They'll be coming up to check on ya shortly." "That explains why I'm here, thanks for telling me that" said Maddie. "Would you like anything to eat meanwhile?" asked the nurse. "I'm good for right now, even though I might need a glass of water or something." replied Maddie "Feeling kinda thirsty at the moment". "No problem ma'am" said the nurse as he brings Maddie a cup of fresh water and placed it right next to her. Moments afterwards, Maddie took a drink of the water to which calmed some of her nerves as the water seeps into her system. "That's a nice glass of water you have there my friend. Don't know if I caught you at a bad time but I just wanted to check up on ya after what happened last night" said Dark Maddie as she arrived much to Maddie's dismay and whatnot. "I was expecting someone else at this time. You're not the first person to ask me that lately and certainly not the last" retorted Maddie still feeling the effects of their 'intervention' in the dark forest. "And also, apologies for the 'tough love' wanted to bring out the itch that you have been holding for so many years now. And that is that you're still in love with Coach Dominic and also who's standing in the way of that? That's right that whore Kelly Halligan. What's more, when you wanted her and Amber to help you, they turned you down and left you hanging. Guess who's there all this time? Yours truly. As for you and Amber lets do a little 'Tale of the Tape' shall we? Amber has been on easy street for most of her life in which she learned how to play soccer, getting along with people, and look at her now: Soccer Superstar!. You had a very miserable and painful life having to bounce from school to school, getting humiliated and disrespected in classes and field trips, and to top it all off, going to jail because of your love for Coach Dominic." said Dark Maddie. "P.S. I think you should turn on the news, I have a feeling it's going to be interesting to see" After the comment, Maddie turned on the TV and it blared the following on the screen: 'We have BREAKING NEWS!' "Businesswoman Kelly Halligan-Antol has been hospitalized as a result of a kidney failure. She collapsed during her presentation at the Pauley Pavilion not too long ago." said the news anchor "Mrs. Halligan-Antol is a brave warrior to which she had faced many obstacles in her life. With a kidney transplant, it would increase her chances of survival and recovery. We just have to find the correct donor who's up to the task at hand." said the doctor. "Lots of people have been anxious to help out Mrs. Halligan-Antol regarding her recent dilemma but so far, most of them are not compatible with her system. We tried our best to have the California Dragons team member Amber Halligan to have some words with us along with Kelly's husband soccer legend Dominic Antol but they've given us no comment regarding the matter. They're still processing what's been going on as of late." After listening and watching the news report, Maddie has a mix of emotions circling around her head. To which she is surprised about the status of her longtime enemy's health. "Well well well, that's a unique turn of events. That whore's going to croak and that means you'll get a second chance of capturing the heart of Coach Dominic" said Dark Maddie learning of the news. "I...I really don't know, a lot has been going on with the family as of late. After what I've been through with them and vice versa I would've feel a certain way or something" replied Maddie feeling some tension and concern between herself and the Halligans. "You'll know what to do when the time is right…." said Dark Maddie as the Hayleys stepped in Maddie's room. "Hey Maddie, we bought you a nice brunch of chicken with waffles to fill your stomach up!" said Janice as she placed the food on Maddie's table. "Thanks for bringing the surprise meal to me, really appreciate it!" said Maddie as she began to consume her meal. "How are you feeling?" asked Sonia still feeling concern for Maddie. "Feeling a lot of emotions as of late and apologies in advance for my disheveled appearance and condition" said Maddie "No worries, like we said before in the past, we're here for you Maddie" replied Sonia. "To elaborate, I just learned that Kelly is having some kidney problems and I don't know how long she's going to be alive," said Maddie. "That's a pretty somber turn of events and I know that you have a history with the Halligans and I get that you'd feel some sort of relief and concern for their well-being to which its very understandable" said Sonia. "I know what it feels like to lose something very near and dear. You see, me and Amber lost our respective parents due to different circumstances and before that Amber has lived a perfect live with her peers for so many years to which led to her becoming a soccer superstar. For me, I had a very miserable life in school and in my neighborhood. Especially during that soccer game after I got publicly embarrassed/humiliated and the only person that cared for me in all this was Coach Dominic which led me to becoming a monster" said Maddie delivering her baggage to Sonia who's acting like the 'therapist' in this conversation. "I've tried to make peace with the Halligans at Target during their book signing but they scorned at me and refused my apologies…. I kinda feel that maybe just maybe they deserved that circumstance to happen. They've been dealt a good deck of cards in spite of their challenges and I've been dealt with the bad ones and...I don't know if I should be happy with Kelly's potential demise…" elaborated Maddie as she begins to take the advice of Dark Maddie, planting the seeds for her possible relationship/recovery with Dominic Antol. "You know something, a lot of people have a desire to take back what they've done in this world. Some ex-cons don't bat an eyelid of these situations and some do and would want to make peace with that. Not everybody would get the good deck of cards that they long for and I can empathize with what you've been telling me. The main thing here is that it's how you deal with these cards that you have Maddie. As I've known for so many years in my life there's some good in people including you Maddie and it's up to you to see that. As long as you have that mindset, maybe some great things would come your way…" said Janice assuring Maddie that everything's going to be ok. "Thanks for listening to what I have to say this afternoon" said Maddie embracing the Hayleys after a long chat and brunch at the retreat infirmary.
