Damn people seem to want more so I come bearing chapter 4.
Also I went back and adjusted some of the stuff in the previous 3 chapters to shore up some grammar and continuity issues I missed. (Also just gonna call her Dani since it seemed to be confusing people). Without further ado Enjoy! Fair warning this gets fluffy as fuck towards the end.
-Casper High 1 Week Later-
Dani sat in her last class of the day sweating bullets. It was the day after her first physics test since Alex had started tutoring her, and to say that she was nervous would probably qualify as understatement of the year. After the first day of having zero idea what he was trying to tell her, he had managed to break it down for her on a simple enough level that she began to grasp the concept. The test had seemed easy at the time and to be honest that was the part that was scaring her the most.
"Now class, In general I am rather disappointed with this exam. I was hoping to see some improvement from the last exam and very few of you managed to do that. Especially considering the...few of you who have approached me about after school tutoring." The calm voice of Mr. Benson said over the groans of most of the class. Dani's heart sank hearing this. Mr Benson rounded the end of the aisle and made his way towards her as the funeral procession music began playing in her head.
"Ms. Fenton...you are one of the few who actually showed improvement. Good job and keep up the good work." He said with a smile, as he put her test on her desk revealing an 82."
"WOOHOO!" She yelled as she got death glares from the kids in her class who had been...less than fortunate. The bell rang signifying the end of class and she began packing her things up as she was quickly joined by Tucker.
"Any chance you could convince Alex to help me? I think my folks are gonna have to hide a body if I bomb another test." The baret clad boy said with a groan. The pair made their way out of the class and headed towards their lockers.
"He probably will if you ask. He seems to enjoy talking about this stuff." She said with a smile as she put her books up and grabbed her backpack to head home. As she turned she ran into the outstretched hand of one of the school's popular girls Paulina who looked less than pleased.
"How did a freaky loser like you pass that test? Did you cheat or something?" She said as she backed Dani into the lockers. Dani began trying to look for a way out of the situation only to notice that her clique of popular kids began blocking off her escape routes.
"No...I studied. And I have a tutor." She said quietly eliciting a pompous laugh out of the girl.
"Oh please Fenton, we both know your freak parents aren't wealthy enough to afford a tutor good enough to help your hopeless ass. Now come on, how did you REALLY pass." She said with a smug look on her face. Dani frowned. Tucker took this moment to try to diffuse the situation with the angry popular kids.
"Paulina, look can we go? School is over and we kinda have somewhere we need-WOAH!" One of the football players grabbed Tucker, stuffed him into an opened locker, and slammed it shut.
"Don't interrupt me dork. Now tell me Fenton-" She said as she backhanded Dani sending her to the ground. "-Are you gonna keep making me look bad? Or are you going to accept your role as being worse than me at everything?" She said with a little twirl...like a psychotic little demon princess.
Dani picked herself up rubbing her cheek. "I'm not going to fail physics so you can have an ego trip. Maybe spend more time studying and you'll do well too." This was apparently not the response that she wanted as she put her forearm against Dani's chest pinning her to the locker.
"Wrong answer freak. I'm gonna make you wish your freak dad had jerked you off into a napkin." She said bringing her hand back, only to have it be caught. Blinking she turned to see a brunette boy with piercing blue eyes staring back at her.
"...Why are you hitting her?" It wasn't spoken in an overtly angry tone, however most could pick up the icey nature of the question. The ditzy bully however was not one of them.
"Oh you know. Just punishing a cheater who made me look bad. Nothing to concern yourself with handsome." She said as she batted her fake eyelashes. Alex just narrowed his eyes at the girl causing her to blanch.
"...And why do you seem to think she cheated?"
"Because she is lying about someone tutoring her so that means she must have cheated!" The girl said with a fake sweet tone.
"...Considering I'm her tutor, I feel as though you should reassess your opinions." Alex released her hand and moved to stand between her and Dani. Paulina frowned.
"Why are you tutoring the freak? I could pay you twice what her freak parents are to tutor me instead." She said as she tried her best to stick out her chest. "...Yeah hard pass. I'm trying to avoid getting an STD." He said, causing the girl to twitch.
"GOD YOUR HOPELESS! Like why in the world do you want to help those losers!? And what are you implying?"
Alex narrowed his eyes at the angry girl not really in the mood to deal with her attitude. "I'm implying that if you spent more time studying and less time turning tricks under the football bleachers you could probably pass too." He said, leaking venom as he said it. The girl stared mouth open, before her eyes began to water and pushed through her friends and ran off as she started crying. The group of populars glared one more time at Alex before following her to try to make her feel better.
Alex shook his head and turned to Dani who was sitting on the ground rubbing her bruised cheek. He bent down and gently moved her hand away from the ugly looking bruise that had begun to form. "You alright?" He asked as he lightly touched her cheek causing the girl to blush at the contact. "Yeah...I'm ok. Pretty used to it at this point." She said with a sad smile.
Alex frowned. "You have more willpower than me. I would've blasted them twice over if they gave me that kinda shit regularly." He said as he helped her up. Dani had a far off look in her eye as she rubbed her cheek. Alex looked back and pushed one of her bangs out of her eyes and put it behind her ear.
"Don't let them make you feel bad. They are just jealous of how awesome you are." He said with a thumbs up causing Dani to giggle. The girl walked over and gave Alex a hug.
"Thanks. For everything." She said as Alex blushed and scratched his nose in embarrassment. Naturally it was at this time that Tucker decided to remind everyone of his presence.
"Not to interrupt a touching moment between friends that is probably gonna give me diabetes, but can YOU PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE?!" The boy yelled causing the two to instantly separate and run over to the closed locker. Alex walked in front of the locker and magnetized the lock until it unlocked, causing the door to swing open and a very claustrophobic Tucker to tumble out onto the ground.
"Ok 1) Ow. 2) Sick burn." He quipped putting out his fist, which Alex grinned and bumped back.
"I don't get why she thinks it's ok to act like that when the rebuttal is that blatant." He said as he ran his hand through his hair. Dani giggled as she put her arm in Alex's and the trio headed for the door to try to locate the last member of their group. The action was not lost on the techno savvy member of the group, who put his hand under his chin and a smug look adorned his face.
"I see I see. So are y'all a thing now or…?" The pair looked at each other and blushed before thinking back to the study session that immediately came to mind.
- Fenton Residence 3 Days Earlier-
Let it be known that in the face of evil ghosts that are determined to take over the world of the living, Danielle Fenton could handle the worst of them using her instincts. Most situations couldn't even phase her...Physics however was not one of them.
"I...think I did it right?" She said as she scooted the booklet over to Alex. "I got 13.57g… am I at least close?" She said with a hopeful smile. Alex looked up from his phone and began checking over the chicken scratch answer.
"Uh...No. I think you messed up the formula. It's force equals mass times acceleration. I think you multiplied the force and the acceleration instead of dividing the force by the acceleration." Dani groaned and slid down into her chair as Alex chuckled at her antics and then had to avert his eyes from where they kept being drawn to. The longer that Alex spent with the ghost girl, the harder it became to not ogle her body...especially when half the time she was walking around in tank tops and pajama pants. Keep in mind that Alex was not a perv...he just had a healthy interest in females. Especially pretty ones. That randomly kissed him. And were good at kissers at that.
Yeah. Definitely not a perv.
"At least you're in the right ballpark." Dani sent a half glare at him. "You can say that because this is easy for you… seriously how do you get this so easily?" Alex shrugged.
"My parents are renowned physicists. I understood the force equation before I could walk." He joked with a smirk. Dani was about to retort when she suddenly gasped as a blue wisp came out of her mouth and floated into the air. Alex blinked a few times before looking between the wisp and the girl several times. Danny jumped up and ran to the window and began frantically scouting around for the source of the ghost sense.
"Uh...is that a ghost thing?" Alex asked as he walked over to the girl. "Yeah. It goes off when there is a ghost nearby...but I can't find what's causing it." Alex looked out the window and saw what looked like...a box?
"Uhhhhh is that a-"
"Oh goddammit why is he -"
"BEWWAARREE I AM THE BOOX GHOOOST." A little blue ghost in overalls and a hat phased through the wall. "I HAVE COME TO HAUNT YOU THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF ALL THINGS SQUARE AND BOX SHAAAAAPED!"
"...Flair for the dramatic much?" Alex began to crackle with energy as two white rings appeared around Dani and she transformed into her ghost form. "Yeah he gets out once or twice a week. It stops being funny and starts getting annoying REALLY quick."
"FOOLISH HUMAN AND GHOST GIRL! I WILL BECOME YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE! I WILL HAUNT YOUR DREAMS WITH THE FEARSOME BO-WAIT NO PLEASE NOT THE FACE." The ghost girl sent a blast of green energy at the box ghost, clipping him to the shoulder and sending him flying into the wall. Dani then flew at the ghost before grabbing him and throwing him over her shoulder at Alex, who sent out a bolt of electricity that zapped the invading specter and immobilized him.
"I...AM.. HURTING ALL OVER OW!" the ghost whined as Dani sucked him into the Fenton Thermos and screwed on the cap. She transformed back into her human form and put the thermos back in her backpack.
"Ok not gonna lie...that was kinda fun." Alex said as Dani gave him a smirk. "How often do you have to actually fight ghosts?" Dani thought for a moment before counting off her fingers.
"Usually...2-3 times a day? Sometimes more if my dad is messing around with the Ghost Portal." Alex let out a low whistle. "Ok mad props. I can see why that would get annoying." Dani shrugged in response, motioning him to follow her. "It's not all that bad. Sam and Tucker normally come to help, so a lot of it is a group effort." She said with a smile as the pair walked out of the room and down the stairs, heading towards the lab in the basement.
The duo walked down the stairs into the basement lab, and found Jack and Maddie Fenton working on their latest ghost hunting equipment on a workbench, and a swirling green portal open behind them.
"I don't think they noticed the portal…?" Dani looked at Alex and shrugged before walking over, and placing the thermos into a circle on the display board and pulling a lever emptying the contents back into the portal.
It was at this time that the elder Fenton's looked up and took notice of the room's new occupants.
"Ah yes Dani sweetie!" Jack said with a smile before looking at Alex and frowning. "...And creep."
"...You are literally never going to let that go are you." Jack pointed at his eyes, and then at Alex in a "I'm watching you" manner before going back to his work. Maddie rolled her eyes and walked over to the pair.
"Alex dear we got the op center set up for you to stay as long as you need to. I'm not sure where they took Dean and Tessa but I'm calling in as many favors as I can to try to find them." She said with a smile.
"...Thanks Mrs. Fenton. I really appreciate it." Alex said with a soft smile. A slight explosion behind Maddie caused the three to look and see a soot covered Jack blinking repeatedly as the blaster he had been working on was in an exploded mess on the table.
"...I was just TESTING YOU ALL! YES PERFECT RESPONSE TIME! HAHA!" Exclaimed Jack as he wiped his face off and began reassembling his latest pet project causing Maddie to giggle and Dani to facepalm.
"I should get back to him. He's like a puppy with chocolate that one." She said with a wave as Dani grabbed Alex by the hand and led him out of the lab.
"You know, I wanted to ask how your parents haven't figured out that you have ghost powers but I think I'm getting an inkling." Snickered Alex.
"Yeah my mom is a total badass, but more often than not she ends up having to babysit my dad anytime they go anywhere." She said sheepishly as Alex continued to laugh. As they started going up the stairs Alex took note that the raven haired girl was still dragging him by the hand towards their destination.
"As much as I'm a fan of holding hands with you Bambii I would prefer it if your dad wasn't on the list of people trying to kill me." He said with a grin causing Dani to erupt in a blush, releasing his hand and turning away to hide her embarrassment.
"...Shut up…" She said, causing Alex to quietly laugh. "I'm sorry, you getting flustered is adorable." Dani shot Alex a glare as they walked back into her room. Alex closed the door and hopped onto Dani's bed after grabbing her physics book. "So do you think you need more help with this or do you think you get it a little better." He said stifling a yawn.
Dani walked over and snatched the book out of his hands before plopping down onto the bed in his lap. She casually flipped through the book as Alex tried to fight off the blush from the pajama clad girl sitting in his lap.
"...You are really trying to get him to kill me aren't you."
Dani smirked and leaned back, placing a quick kiss on his cheek. "Maybe I just like messing with you Sparky." She said batting her big blue eyes at the blushing boy as she looked back to her book. Alex quietly groaned as she leaned back into him, pressing her back directly into his chest as she held the book up flipping through it to get back to her spot.
"Oh you cheeky little… fine two can play at this game." He smirked as the girl finished flipping through the book after getting back to the chapter on the force equation and set to work trying to figure out one of the problems. As she worked Alex took note that she flipped two of the numbers that she was working with and grinned, a plan already forming in his head.
"Hold up a sec." He wrapped his left arm around her waist eliciting an eep out of the girl, and he grabbed the pencil with his right hand and began circling parts of the question. Dani placed her hands on his arm and fidgeted, as a chill ran up her back.
"...That's cheating…" She said quietly as Alex smirked triumphantly. "Oh? Does the little princess not like when people tease her back?" He breathed out into her ear as he finished circling the errors in the question. The proximity caused the girl to shudder and when he went to let go of the girl, he noticed she had his hand held in place.
"...Uh Bambii? You alright?" He asked out of confusion afraid that he had made his friend upset. The girl was silent before slowly turning around, a blush adorning her face. Before Alex could react she closed the gap and kissed him, pinning him to the back of the bed as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Alex recovered from the initial shock and returned the kiss as he wrapped his arms around her back pulling her in closer. After a few minutes the two teenagers released each other panting.
"If this is you messing with me...I'd be lying if I said I'm not enjoying it." He said with a smirk as she smiled at him with a blush, before leaning her head against his chest and laying against him. Alex began to absentmindedly play with her hard as she nestled into her spot.
"Hey Alex..?"
"Yeah?"
"Is it… too soon to say I like you?" She asked shyly. Alex blinked a few times before lightly kissing the top of her head.
"I mean if it's too soon to think that, then I'm also fucked so I'll say no for now." He said sheepishly as Danny snuggled closer.
At that moment many thoughts went through the blonde boys mind. Alex thought about the situation with his foster parents, and how nice the Fentons were to him. He thought of the evil organization that he was going to have to stop, but at that moment nothing captured his attention as much as the beautiful girl who was lightly breathing into his chest.
"Yeah...Her dad is definitely gonna kill me."
-Present Day-
"Uh...Kinda?" Dani said sheepishly. Alex just shrugged with a smirk causing Tucker to laugh.
"Hey I ship it. Plus you won me $20 from Sam." He said as he rubbed his hands together victoriously. The pair blinked at the comment.
"Wait you two bet that we would become a thing?" Alex asked confused. Tucker nodded as Dani sent him a joking glare. "Home girl tends to move about as fast as a glacier in a field when it comes to guys she likes. But my money was on "Oh look a guy who also has super powers" bit over riding that part of her. What can I say I'm just too good at this kinda thing." He said with a flex causing the two to roll their eyes as they exited the school. They came across Sam who was leaning against one of the pillars in front of the school.
"So uh why did Paulina come running out of the school crying?" She asked confused. Alex and Tucker snickered as they remembered the burn.
"Paulina got mad that I did well on the Physics test and slapped me… and to get her to leave Alex basically called her a hoe." Sam blinked before taking notice of Dani's proximity to the brunette and frowning. Tucker stood with a shit eating grin on his face.
"I take cash, check and most major credit cards." He said as Sam handed him a $20 dollar bill that he happily pocketed. The group began walking back to the Fenton's conversing about their days, before the topic of the test was brought up again.
"Wait Dani what did you end up getting on the test?" Asked Sam as the group walked into the house, as Dani immediately delatched from Alex to avoid the misplaced protectiveness of her father.
"Oh I got an 82. Probably the first time I've seen Benson not rip into me for something." She said as Sam stared open mouthed.
"...Dani, you know the average in all the classes was a 37 right?" Dani blinked as that fact registered. Sam turned to Alex who was helping himself to an apple from the fridge. He took a bite and noticed that Sam and Tucker were looking at him with weird smiles on their faces.
"...What."
"Sooooo do you tutor other people? Or just your girlfriend." Tucker asked as Dani blushed at being called Alex's girlfriend. In truth they hadn't really talked all that much about what they were, even if they acted exceptionally close.
Alex shrugged. "I can help you guys if you want. Just fair warning this stuff is really easy for me so if I make it confusing just lemme know." He said as Sam and Tucker both yelled hell yeah and hi-fived. Dani smiled just as a blue wisp of energy escaped her mouth, which was noticed by all members of the group.
"Uh oh." The group went on alert and looked around frantically trying to find the source of the ghost sense.
"Dani honey? Are you in the kitchen?" The voice of Maddie could be heard causing the group to look around at each other and quickly sat down around the table to act as casual as possible.
"Oh hello everyone! Alex I think we may have a lead on where Dean and Tessa might be." At this everyone in the room perked up considerably. Alex's eyes bugged out of his head as he almost choked on the apple he had been eating.
"Wait seriously? That's awesome!" He said excitedly causing Dani to smile at him. "What is the lead?"
"Well it's actually not a what it's a whom and its-"
"That would be me." Came a voice that caused Dani's voice to run cold and her eyes to flash green in anger as the lithe form of Vlad Masters entered the room. He looked at group of teens with a grin, as three of them gave him glares that could have sunk the titanic.
"Hello my little badger, it's been FAR too long." He said as he walked into the room, and stuck his hand out to Alex.
"It's a pleasure to see you again Alex. It must have been...8 years since I last saw you?" Alex looked visibly confused at this remark, before his eyes widened.
"Wait you knew me that far back?" He asked suddenly.
"Why of course my boy. You could even say that I helped raise you with how close I am to Dean and Tessa." Alex became extremely excited at the prospect of learning about his lost memories, to the point that he didn't pick up on the angry look his not girlfriend was giving Vlad.
"Mom can I speak to you? In the other room? In private? By ourselves?" She asked with the best smile she could muster. Maddie gave her a knowing look and nodded as Dani marched past her nemesis and dragged her mother into the living room. She whirled around with a look of incredulity on her face.
"Pardon my language but what the fuck is he doing here?" She whisper yelled as her mother sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"Because he worked with Dean Tessa and I at the organization before he made it big and left. He also has the resources to find them and offered to help." Dani looked at her mother as her left eye twitched in frustration.
"That's all good but you seem to be forgetting that he literally tried to kidnap us and make us join him as his family." She said with venom leaking out of every word.
"I know sweety, but I am running out of contacts to ask for help. He has also assured me that if at any time he does anything to make either of us uncomfortable, he will happily leave and let us use his resources to find them." Danny was skeptical of what her mother was saying but conceded that she couldn't think of anyway that Vlad was trying to play them.
"Fine...but I swear to god he tries to hit on you or corrupt Alex then I'm locking him in the Fenton cuffs and throwing him into the Ghost Zone." Maddie giggled at her daughter's protectiveness of the young brunette. She pulled her daughter into a hug to get her to calm down. "Oh sweety. If he does anything I'm throwing him into the speeder and having it drop him off in the farthest corner before self destructing." She said as she poked her daughters nose causing her to giggle. "Now come on, lets go make sure he's not corrupting your boyfriend." Dani went wide eyes and blushed.
"We...we aren't that obvious are we?" Maddie laughed.
"Sweety I'm your mother and I just know these things. I see how you look at him, and how close you keep to him and quite frankly you could do a lot worse." She said as Dani smiled and hugged her mother.
"Thanks mom...wait, does dad know?"
"Oh god no, the boy is still breathing isn't he?"
"... Ok fair point. I'll tell him eventually." She said as Maddie giggled. "Normally I would be against hiding something from Jack, but I'll condone it just this once since he is living with us...and I have no doubt Jack would make that as awkward as possible if he knew."
"Yeah hard agree...anyway let's go make sure nothing bad is happening." The elder Fenton nodded and the two walked back into the kitchen as Vlad was sitting at the table with the other three teens telling a story about Alex's childhood.
"-So I walked back into the room and saw the state of the curtains and-" he paused as he saw the two girls walk back in and he smiled.
"Ah yes Danielle, I was just recanting a lovely tale of how Alex set my designer curtains on fire." He said as Alex rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment and Dani continued to scowl.
"Vlad I have the computer in the basement up and running, would you like to get started?"
"Ah yes of course the real reason that I have come here." He said standing up. "It's good to see you again Alex. If you have any questions about your past please don't hesitate to call me, I would love to help fill in what I can." He said as he handed Alex a business card. He walked out of the room as Maddie led the way to the basement. After he left Dani walked over and straddled Alex's lap and started looking into his eyes causing the boy to blush.
"Uh Dani what are-"
"Checking for hypnosis." She said as she lightly tugged at his eyelids to check for the weirdly dilated pupils. Tucker and Sam looked at each other for a moment as Dani continued to check her snickering boyfriend's eyes.
"Can...can he do that?" Asked Tucker. Dani looked up and thought about it.
"...Idk might as well check though." Alex laughed and pulled her into a hug, before flipping her around. "Geez what has you so wound up? The guy seems to know some stuff from before my memory got screwy." Dani frowned.
"Lets just say me and the fruitloop have a bit of a history. And he likes my mom. In a weird and creepy way." Alex blinked before looking to the other two teens who nodded in confirmation.
"...ok define history." Dani looked around to make sure no one was around. "Not here, let's go upstairs. The other three nodded and they quickly made their way upstairs, and after piling into Dani's room locked the door behind them.
"Ok so what's going on? When he walked in I thought he was about to combust y'all were glaring so hard." The three ghost hunters looked at each other not sure where to begin.
"Well … Dani you should probably take this since you've had to deal with him the most." Said Sam as she took a seat at the desk chair, while Tucker claimed the bean bag that was laid against the wall. Dani walked over and plopped into Alex's lap as he began running on of his hands through her hair.
"Geez where to start? Well the first time we met he revealed that he's like me and has ghost powers, and then tried to overshadow my dad to make him look like a fool so that my mom would leave him for Vlad...luckily I stopped him by threatening to reveal his secret but that's not the point." Alex's hand stopped moving as he blinked at this knowledge.
"Huh...ok, I wasn't expecting that. That's kinda fucked." Dani nodded. "That's not even the half of it. He also tricked me and my mom into going to a "conference" and then had the pilot bail out and strand us in the middle of a forest with no way to get help, other than to get help from him. He had us "accidentally" find his cabin and tried to convince us to stay with him forever, and when my mom said no we left. But he ended up having some experimental bear ghost thing kidnap me and bring me back, where he zapped me with a weapon called the Plasmius Maximus that took away my powers for 6 hours and let loose his evil ghost experiments on me to try kill me...those fuckers hurt too…" she said as she grabbed her arm. Alex looked down, and she pulled up her sleeve to show a nasty looking scar going down the back of her arm.
"...go on." He said barely containing his anger.
"Right...well my mom showed up and helped me fight off the monsters, and then said we had to go back to Vlad since he had the only working phone for miles around us. So mom flirts her way in (not that hard) and we try to find his phone to call for help. I end up zapping him with the Plasmius Maximus and taking away his powers and sicking his mad science experiments on him, and then mom and I took his helicopter and flew home."
"So ignoring the reasons that I blatantly want to kick this fuck in the nuts...like does this shit happen to you a lot? Or are these just bad occurrences?"
"Oh man she hasn't even gotten to how he started a ghost apocalypse by trying to steal an ancient artifact from the sarcophagus of an ancient ghost king." Alex blinked.
"...Well at least dating you won't be boring." He joked as Dani blushed and Tucker laughed. The group was taken out of their musings by a knock at the door. Dani hopped up and answered the door to reveal Maddie standing outside with some Pizzas.
"Hey this might take a bit while we sift through coordinates, so I ordered the usual for you guys since I probably won't be making dinner tonight."
"Wow thanks Miss Fenton!" Said Tucker as Dani grabbed the pizzas and closed the door with her foot. She put the 3 pizzas down on the ground and opened them to reveal a meat lovers, a pepperoni, and a vegetarian pizza which the teens hungrily dug into.
"You guys wanna play some Smash or something? I doubt any ghosts are gonna show up if Vlad is in town." Said Danny as the group nodded and Tucker moved to set the Switch up to the TV on the wall. The group ate their pizza and played their game, until a question suddenly popped into Alex's head.
"Why won't any ghosts attack if Vlad is here?" Asked Alex as Tucker caught him in a combo and dunked him off the stage.
"The other ghosts are afraid of him. He's rather...brutal when it comes to dealing with ghosts." Said the girl as Tucker managed to 1v2 her and Sam and win the game.
"Man ROB is so lame." Complained Sam as she took a bite of her pizza while Tucker did a victory dance.
"I think you mean "Tucker you're too good at this game." He said with some finger guns causing Sam to send a playful glare at the boy.
"Oh yeah? Wanna put your money where your mouth is, geek boy?" Tucker smirked. "Oh hell yeah. Best outta 5?"
"You're on. $20 to the winner?"
" Hell yeah. No items, no smash meter, 3 stocks. Let's DO THIS!" Yelled Tucker as they began their clash of the ages as Alex laughed at their antics. Dani walked over to Alex who was sitting on the floor and plopped into his lap and laid back against him while they watched their friends battle it out. And for Alex, just for that one evening all of the stress of the world, all of the fear of the battles to come, seemed to just disappear with the presence of good friends.
-Safehouse 71890-
Dean was beginning to get concerned. Scarface hadn't come by in what seemed like days although with the lack of light he couldn't be completely sure. He of course had kept singing whenever his parched throat would allow if nothing else to ease the stress of the situation, and to make whatever poor soul was having to guard him miserable. At least they had put him back into his uncomfortable chair. It may have felt like straight sheet metal on his behind but it was HIS piece of sheet metal dammit.
"Ring ring ring, ring ring ring….banana phone…" he said with a hoarse voice as suddenly the door creaked open and good ole scarface walked in. Dean grinned.
"Ah yes Mr Bond, I see you have returned for another rousing battle of wits, however it appears that you are frightfully unarmed." He said, his voice crackly from lack of hydration but even through his suffering his smug grin remained plastered to his face.
The man said nothing, but after a few moments snapped his fingers and a guard brought in someone who was bound and gagged, and tied them to the chair. After securing the prisoner, he yanked off the bag over their head, a very confused Tessa.
All the amusement in Dean's face disappeared in an instant. Replaced by a look of quiet rage.
The man pulled out a gun and placed it to Tessa's head as she froze. Dean began thrashing around in his restraints as the man grinned an evil grin.
"Now. Mr Grey. You seem smart enough to figure out where this is going, so I'm only going to ask you this one time. Where. Is. My. godDAMN. CONVERTER?" He said as he pulled the hammer of gun back as Tessa screamed, tears beginning to stream down her face.
Dean broke." WAIT DON'T I'LL FUCKING TELL YOU!" He screamed as his voice began giving out. The man grinned at his pain.
"That's much better. Now where is it?"
Dean looked away ashamed. "It's destroyed. All that remains of it are the schematics that I hid in my son's laptop. We can rebuild it with those schematics" He said Tessa began rapidly shaking her head as if to tell him not to tell him.
"...Well then, I guess I only need one of you." Without hesitation he pointed the gun at Dean and put two rounds in his chest, knocking the chair over as Dean grunted in pain and Tessa screamed. The man motions for the guard to untie Dean. He complies and hoists him over his shoulder.
"Get rid of the body. Make it look like a mugging or something." The guard nods gruffly before exiting the room. The man turns to the sobbing form of Tessa an kneels down to eye level.
"Now Mrs Grey. Your husband was difficult. If you are difficult, what I did to your husband will pale in comparison to what I do to you and your son, so I make myself clear?" He said as Tessa glared him before slowly nodding.
"Good. Now rest up, we have a weapon to repair." He said as sobs racked Tessa's body. He got up and left the room, closing the door on his way out. He picks up his walkie to give his next orders.
"Change of plans, the kids laptop is the target. Apprehend at all costs."
"What do we do about the kid?" Came the voice on the other end of the line. The man smirked, channeling a visage of the devil himself.
"Terminate project Zeus."
Whew boy that escalated quickly. How will Alex take the news? Will the evil organization succeed? What the hell is Vlad planning? Why am I talking in rhetorical questions that I will probably answer next chapter? Who knows probably because I wrote this at 3 am.
Side note I made some adjustments to the first 3 chapters based off of feedback from you guys so if anything else is messed up continuity or grammar wise, feel free to let me know. Also for real stay safe from this Corona Virus stuff.
