At the hospital

Henry was admitted for many things; two broken ribs, a broken right arm, a broken right leg, a mild concussion, swelling, and many bruises and cuts. Luckily, the broken ribs didn't puncture his lungs. That would have been a lot worse. Now, all that was really left to do was wait until everything healed. The doctors, and nurses did ask how Henry got the injuries in the first place. They just told them he fell of the roof. They bought it, at least it was a legitimate excuse. Anyways, now Henry was going to be in the hospital for at least week. He didn't care, it's not like he was going to fight crime with all of these injuries. But someone had too if both him, and Ray weren't available to protect the city.

"Can I do it?" Piper asked her elder brother curiously.

"No way, not with that gang still out there." Henry answered sternly.

Piper figured this would be his answer, so she didn't push it. "But," Henry started out, "you can stay in the man cave and call the police when there is an emergency."

"Yes!" Piper exclaimed happily.

Henry smiled at her in response, he was extremely happy she found him, so he mine as we'll reward her.

The entire room was filled with awkward silence, until Charlotte said, "well, since Henry's okay, I'm going to head home now. My voice is retired for the rest of the day, bye everyone."

"Bye!" Everyone said back to her. With that, she got up and left.

Kris studied her son; he looked tired. "Hey guys, why don't we go get some dinner while Henry rests?"

Jake and Piper nodded, Henry wanted to protest, but he was very tired. "We love you Hen," Kris told her son, before they all left.

Henry just laid there and smiled, before finally falling off to sleep.

Two weeks later

Henry was being check out of the hospital that day. He was excited, but he wouldn't be able to do his normal routine just yet. He still had to wait for his ribs to heal fully, and he still had a broken arm and leg. But he was happy to back home, and spend some real time with his friends, and family. He hated to admit it, but he really missed Piper. Even if he saw her almost everyday, he still missed her. Something was different about Piper; it was like she was covering up some deep dark sadness, or something. He made a mental note to ask her about it when he got home. Which was finally here. He still had to use a wheelchair, since his right leg was in a cast, and he had a broken arm, so it was kind of hard to use crutches.

Only his mom came to get him, which he thought was kind of weird, but didn't question it. The car ride home was silent, Henry wanted to say something, but didn't know what to say. They were finally home, Kris had to help Henry get out of the car, which was a bit of a struggle, but they managed. She wheeled him up to the front porch, and then opened the door. She turned Henry, and then pushed him inside. "Why is it dark in here?" Henry asked skeptical.

"Surprise!"

"Ah!" Henry was startled by the lights being turned on abruptly, and five people jumping out from behind some object. Kris was smiling, she knew it was coming, so she was prepared.

"Welcome home Henry," Ray greeted his sidekick, smiling. "And welcome home Mrs. Hart."

"Dude!" Henry scolded Ray for hitting on his mom.

Ray just walked away. Kris pushed Henry into the kitchen, going behind the bookshelf, and gently pulling him down the ledge. There was cake, and a lot of other food items. They all followed them into the kitchen, "welcome home Hen," Jasper greeted.

"Welcome home," Charlotte said to her best friend.

"Yeah, welcome home son," Jake said to Henry.

Henry just smiled, but he waited for Piper to say something.

"Welcome back Hen," Piper said to him, and then gave him a gentle hug. This was very unexpected to Henry, but he accepted it and hugged her back.

"Thanks Pipes," he responded to her. She had tears in her eyes, but blinked them away. She hated to admit it, but she missed her brother so much. She was so depressed without him for some reason, she didn't know why. But Piper was gald to have him back.

"Alright, let's eat some food!" Henry exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Everyone exclaimed back.

Later that night

After the others left, Kris and Jake went up stairs, so only Henry and Piper remained in the kitchen. Henry, still in the wheelchair, was sitting in between the island and counter. Piper was sitting at table, eating some cake. Then Henry remembered the question he wanted to ask Piper. "Hey Piper,"

"Yeah?" She asked as she took a bite of her cake.

"Are you..." Henry couldn't think of a nice way to ask this. "Are you sad about something?"

Piper looked kind of confused, mixed with shock. She put her fork down, and swallowed the cake. "Ummm... no," Piper lied.

Henry squinted, "Are you sure?"

Tears filled Piper's eyes, why did that keep happening? It happened anytime someone mentioned his name, or she went to go visit him in the hospital. It started when she found him, and brought him home. The day she thought she would lose him. "Piper!" Henry shouted at his little sister.

"What?" Piper asked, after snapping back into reality.

"You just dazed out for a second, it was weird." Henry answered her.

"I was thinking about your question," she responded.

"So, are you sad about something?" Henry asked, a little worried for his sister.

"A little bit, yeah." Piper answered, not looking her brother in the eyes.

"Well, uh what is it?" Henry asked, curious and concerned.

"It's nothing, it'll go away." Piper lied. She knew it wouldn't go away, but she had to say something to clam Henry.

"If it's nothing, you wouldn't be sad in the first place." Henry pointed out.

Piper looked a little scared, "Please Piper,"

"Okay fine," she gave in. "It started when I found you two weeks ago. Staring at you on the couch, with your bruised face, and two black eyes. Knowing you had other injuries; that's what got to me. I started to question if I- if you would die, or not."

Henry looked a little shocked. He knew Piper cared about him. But this was a whole other can of worms. "Well, I'm right here, I'll always be right here. I promise I'll always be here for you Piper."

"I know, thank you, Henry." Piper responded, covering her worry and fear up with a smile.

"You're welcome," Henry replied, worried about his little sister.

Piper smiled in response, it was a real smile. She may have been sad, but she was happy she could always count on Henry. Although, deep down, both Henry, and Piper knew the cold hearted gang was still out there. And that Henry was going to have to fight them again someday. And both siblings were not looking forward to that day.

Hey guys, I'm excited I wrote another chapter for this fan fiction! I hope you guys are too! I'm developing Piper's character into what's it's going to be like in in future chapters. So that's why she may seem a tiny bit out of character. I think the next chapter will skip ahead to the part where Henry has to go fight the gang again, and Piper doesn't want him to. So stay tuned! I will probably write a one-shot in between this chapter, and the next chapter. So keep an eye out for that. Please follow, favorite, and review! I'll see you next time people! - Swirlspot

P.S. I do not own Henry Danger, or any of its characters. But I do own any mistakes in this fan fiction.
