I plan to re-pick up the story I put down so many years ago. I have been meaning to come back to it, but things kept delaying it. I had lots of ideas such as bringing in Deepground into the story. However when I first wrote it it was more of ideas as I had them; closer to stream of conscious writing with editing. This created lots of problems, such as pacing, timing of events, forced development of characters, etc.
So I plan to revise, improve, and honestly it may end up a very different story. However the real reason I write this is I need a Co-writer. I will be open to new ideas and changing things-even what has been already written. I know I can't finish this story on my own.
For those who can't help on this, if you know of places I should search, feel free to comment or PM me. I plan to seek many places to find someone who can work with me and I with them in a partnership.
What I Seek: I would obviously want to write with someone who is interested in Sephiroth and Vincent romance preferably a slow burn with angst. The story will take one Jenova, have hints and/or meeting of various characters of FFVII franchise.
I wish to plan the story and no, not to every last detail-but enough to know the important movements of various plots. I will warn you that I have no understanding of the 3 act structure. What has been working for me is the Story Clock/Story Circle system related to Hero's Journey. It so far is the only system that makes sense to me.
Determine to make a time commitment and communicate honestly. I know we'll have our own lives and things will come up. There will be delays and difficulties, but we will struggle through them together as a team. I also want to work with someone who expresses their opinions even if they think I will disagree. We will both make compromises as we write. I like to work with someone over 18 years, since mature rating is likely to happen in the stories.
It probably be easier to work with someone that has similar interests. I would prefer to have a long term relationship that will go from fanfiction to our own original content whether that be books, comics, webcomics, etc. Feel free to share something you like help with (multiple projects can be good if we need to take a break from this one).
I plan to get the story published on both fanfiction and ao3. I don't mind which username this story gets published under for ff since they don't have easy co-writing options like ao3 does.
What I have: I have numerous google docs and folders. I have documents of character's lines, habits displayed in games, transcripts of various games and Advent Children, general timeline, some maps, etc. I have some of Before Crisis transcribed, not all. This is to help keep track of what we're changing and what the characters are like through different games so we have an idea of what's in character. Their personality will evolve through the events of our story and changes we make to their past. I obviously have what I wrote before, some vague circle plottings and general ideas for some characters etc.
My Interests:
In Writing: I tend to like adventure with romance. I tend to like some level of psychological horror, angst, cute warming moments, etc. I like everything from magical girls, fantasy political worlds, alternative modern, post apocalyptic, sci-fantasy (I like sci fi but don't got enough science for it or patience in researching all the subjects), Dystopias, etc.
Music: You can see some music I like in my Spotify List: playlist/1e9FFR5l8IcwyZJjynNzHU I hear listening to similar music can help writers keep on the same page. Not necessary but I'm interested in trying the idea. I tend to like soundtrack music from games and movies. I like a lot of electronica, rock, dark/gothic mixed music.
Video Games: Detroit Become Human (it is one I have some ideas for fanfiction; so bonus if this appeals to you), Fire Emblem (Three Houses, Fates, Blazing Blade), Odin Sphere, Grim Grimoire, Liar Princess and Blind Prince, Don't Starve, Ogre Battle 64, SOMA, Penumbra: Black Plague, Beyond Two Souls, Persona 5, Final Fantasy (3/6, 4, 7, 10, type 0)
Anime: Baccano!, Psycho-Pass, Fate/Stay Night series, Death Parade, Read or Die (ova/movie and TV series), When They Cry, Ajin, Dot Hack (signs, liminality, roots),
TV series: Twilight Zone, Veronica Mars, The Good Place, Monk, NCSI, Sherlock, Stranger Things, 10th Kingdom
Can add more on request.
About Me: I'm 31 years old, female who's married and seeking to have children. I'm a freelance artist as you can view my DA here: annehijme I've always had an interest in writing, but usually with art in mind. I've honestly been wanting to work in a team for artwork as well.
My Flaws: I'm not a writer, I'm an artist; that is the college degree I have. Grammar and my switching of tenses are my worst problems I have. I do not have plotting/outline knowledge. I have been working on improving this; I have self taught the Hero's Journey Plotting (simplified as a clock/circle method of Dan Harmon). This has been the first one that has resonated with me. I was never good with the 3 act structure that was taught to me as I grew up.
I don't have a properly functioning funny bone. I definitely am bad at telling jokes even when I enjoy them. So I would say I tend to like dry, morbid, and dumb blonde jokes humor. So I can copy humor in words but not in speech and not good with creating original humor unless dry, morbid, and sarcastic-perhaps not even then. Bad at order of giving details of descriptions. I never written a sex scene, so it'll probably be awkward at first.
I also admit I've never fully played the original game. I watched others, helped my sister when she got stuck in boss fights. I've since watched Advent Children and side bits. I've watched Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, and Before Crisis gameplay. I read the base FFVII game transcript.
My Pros: I'm a team player and idea generator. I like to read and explore ideas. You notice I mention ideas a lot because I would like things poorly done because the idea was interesting. I'm good to come up with twists and realize where some problems may lie when in proofreading mode; just not good at correcting grammar. I've always enjoyed what if scenarios.
I'm good at setting emotional tones to the story, how characters are feeling in a situation.
I'm fairly good at researching subjects, and finding useful tidbits of information. I can go information overload sometimes.
I'm good about thinking on world building: customs, geography, and thinking of how it may influence things. Though often I just think of it as I feel it's needed. So don't expect that I have it all figured out. It be more like hmm, this is where I would put the word God, but God doesn't exist as an idea here so what is the equivalent of it in this universe... Hmm.. how should I name this character who is from another country? What is important to them in naming? Do they speak another language? So a lot of the fleshing as I think of important things and realize this may interact more interesting if consider background.

I understand we may have to try many things and take turns, shares, or experiment. What works for one team may not work for another; probably work as Watt Pad has some suggestions of where to start. We may need to use multiple methods depending on the scene and what we have trouble with. The reference is many to realize this may be trial and error. We both will need to take criticism, give up things, compromise. Just because I have an idea, doesn't mean your suggestion should be ignored. This will be a discussion. If we need to call or other associations via Skype, Discord, or other means I'm willing to work with you and try things.
If things don't work out, I wish to leave with an accord. I think for a short while I can do the Rp style, however despite my love for rping (since I'm a tabletop RPGer in IRL) I feel this isn't a good idea for a long story with many characters. It can be useful if we have troubles for a particular scene.
