Izuku was crushed to the floor by a rambunctious villain. He let out no scream, but gritted his teeth harder into a smile.
'The Symbol of Peace can't be seen frowning! I have to... protect their smiles!', he thought.
He tried activating One for All, but the immeasurable pain distracted him. He can't be brought down this easily! Not when he's so close to becoming the #1 Hero-
His Pessimistic thoughts were blown away by the sudden lightness of the villain, and the shadow of his best friend/secret-crush passing over him.

Years Before...
"One for All... Full Cowling, 50%!!!"
Izuku created a crater in the ground beneath him, the power surging off of him creating the illusion of the fiercest lightning storm one had ever seen.
He joints creaked and felt on the verge of breaking, and Kacchan yelling at him wasn't helping either.
"HURRY UP! DEKU! MAKE IT YOUR OWN POWER ALREADY! I'M GETTING TIRED OF WAITING DUMBAS-"
"Young Bakugou, that language is not necessary," All Might said calmly, spitting out a small amount of blood, "Give Young Midoriya some time. You've seen what One for All can do to him."
"Tch." Bakugou retired to a nearby tree. They were both in their 2nd year at the prestigious UA Highschool, the same school that many great heroes came out of. Izuku had a great burst in power, and they were in the forest practicing his abilities to fire off stronger Delaware Air Force Smashes. So far, Izuku had been able to fire off a Delaware Smash at 30% without spraining his arm. Hopefully, he could do it at 50% this time.
"DELAWARE... SMASH!!!" Izuku flicked his finger and immediately, a blast of air, so dense and powerful, a tree was utterly destroyed. He smiled but then his arm started to ache. Izuku looked at his arm to find it swollen, but not broken.
"Young Uraraka!" All Might called out.
"Yes, sir?" she responded, floating over.
"Please escort Young Midoriya to Recovery Girl's office.
She nodded and used her quirk on Izuku to get him over there quicker.
"What'd you do this time, Deku-kun?"
"50% Air Blast..."
Ochako looked at him and responded,
"We can't have our hero hurt..."

Present Day...
"DEKU- I brought reinforcements!"
"Thanks, Uravity!" Izuku shouted to his floating best friend- at least, that's what they were, right?
"One for All... Full Cowling, 100%-!"
Deku leapt in the air, pulled his leg back, and hurled downward in a roundhouse kick.
"ST. LOUIS... SMASH!"
The villain toppled over and cheers rang out for the soon to be #1 Hero.
"Hey, Uraraka-san?"
"Yes, Deku-kun?"
"We're more than just friends, right?"
"I-I guess..."
"Ok, how would you feel... if I asked you out?"
