A few days after the world changed, Kirito and the others had reached the first floor boss.
"So, this is where the boss is," said Kirito as they entered a clearing in a forest created by the change.
"Let's make sure to stay on our toes," said Asuna. Suddenly, a werewolf came out of the forest.
"It might be weaker than the special boss, but it could have a few special abilities," said Klein as he noticed that the boss was at LV. 100.
"Asuna and Klein, you two help me attack it; Sinon, use Etraya from the sidelines, Silica, Lisbeth, and Leafa, we need you three and your spells backing us up," said Kirito.
"You got it," said the six as they took their spots.
"I'll be with Aunt Leafa," said Yui as she flew to Leafa.
"Here we go!" said Kirtio as he ran in with Excalibur and Dark Repulser. As the three swordsmen attacked, the boss's health was barely moving.
"Why is this not working?" asked Klein.
"Of course, it's a full moon tonight," said Kirito as he noticed his shadow that was being cast on the ground by the moonlight.
"Should have figured a werewolf would draw more power from a full moon," said Asuna.
"Keep him off of me, I have a plan," said Kirito as he started Blade Configuration.
"Are you going to use your monster sword, papa?" asked Yui.
"I'm going to use a monster alright, but not the sword," said Kirito as he held the sword to the sky.
"Kirito stop, that spell made you go beseric last time," said Leafa as she recognized the spell he was using. However, it was too late, for a ring of fire shot into the sky.
"What is that?!" asked Klein as Kirito's monster form appeared from the flames. However, it had three horns on each side of it's head, it's fur was blood red instead of a deep blue, and the eyes were pitch black.
"That's even more terrifying than last time," said Leafa with a worried expression. Suddenly, the boss leaped at Kirito who grabbed it by the shoulders and ripped the boss apart with his bare hands.
"He destroyed him that easily?" asked Klein with a surprised expression. After Kirito returned to his normal form, everyone had questions for him.
"What kind of spell was that, and how did you get so strong from it?!" asked Asuna.
"It's a spell like one I used before in ALO, but instead of it creating an illusion it causes my sword to fuse with me, changing my form into that of a monster and giving me all the strength I and the weapon had then doubles it," said Kirito.
"Thing is it takes most of my HP, one hit and I'll be dead," said Kirito as he brought out a few potions and started to use them.
"That spell could come in handy, but be careful with it," said Sinon.
"Hey, I just found the drop from the boss," said Leafa as she picked up a black covered book and a white covered one. Suddenly, the two books turned into lights that fused with everyone.
"Cool, we got some new spells," said Lisbeth with a smile as she checked the list.
