After the first battle, Kirito was the one to enter the ring for the second battle of the day.
"You're going to regret going against me," said a real tough looking man with tons of scars covering his right shoulder. His outfit was also like that of a barbarian.
"We'll see about that," said Kirito as he held his Elucidator.
"Come on Gus, show that little kid what you got," said one of the other guys on his side.
"Don't worry, he's going down fast!" said Gus as he raised his sword and brought it down on Kirito, kicking up a dust storm.
"Oh my, it looks like competitor Kirito was taken out in one hit!" said the announcer.
"I wouldn't be so sure," said Kirito as the dust settled down to reveal that he had blocked the hit with his own sword, not even struggling to hold Gus's attack back.
"That's not possible!" said Gus with a terrified expression.
"Oh, but it is," said Kirito as he shoved Gus's sword away, then began hack away at Gus's LP with swift strikes that were so fast that Gus couldn't even keep track of them.
"No!" said the only girl on Gus's team as the big man was killed.
"Even one handed, Kirito is still stronger than that guy," said Asuna with a smile as Kirito was announced the winner.
"Gus, are you alright?!" asked the girl as she ran up to him at the regeneration zone on their side of the arena.
"Suzen, Duse, watch out for them, that team is way stronger than they look," said Gus as he looked at Kirito and the others.
