Hey everybody!
This coming spring break marks a momentous occasion for my stories! I am doing what I like to call the adding on event! I'm going through all my unfinished stories and adding on to them to finish some loose ends up! I'm so excited to see how far I've come from the first time I did these stories to now that I am older and more experienced! So enjoy your new chapter after so long!
Previously on A Day in the Distorted World
Myra was at a loss for words after hearing his tale. Her hands were shaking as he finished and she clutched onto Zorua more tightly. This man…no…this pokémon had brutally murdered this woman for turning him into a human.
"And now, I am banished here for trying to overthrow my father and for murder." Giratina sighed and walked away from her. "You probably think I'm some monster now don't you?"
He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Myra crying on his back. His face turned to one of surprise as she wept on his shoulder blades. He brought her in front of him and wiped away her tears.
"Why are you weeping? Does my story bring you great sorrow?"
"That woman…you killed long ago…was one of my relatives."
Chapter 6: Bonds and Leaps
Giratina felt his breath hitch when she uttered those words. His eyes looked down at the mortal in front of him, who was still sobbing, and examined her frame. Sure enough, she did resembled Minerva in some form or shape. They both had blue hair and mesmerizing eyes, not to mention those soft, plush lips.
He shook his head as he let Myra's shoulders go. What was he thinking? This girl was the descendant of the woman who cursed him to be this way! He should be tearing her to shreds and destroying her body then and there. And yet for some reason he found himself unable to do so. Could it be perhaps that his curiosity was peaked? Did he finally find something that could break the isolation and lonely that he felt for all those years?
Myra wiped her face as Zorua leapt back into her lap and nuzzled her. It was true that her mother had told her about Minerva and how she defeated the legendary creation trio in the past, but no one had told her how she accomplished it. Turns out that her relative died in the heat of battle to protect the people of Sinnoh and no one acknowledged that beforehand. Although she did recall when she met with Cynthia at the Solaceon Ruins that the woman told her of her family's legacy. She kind of didn't want to have such a big responsibility placed on her shoulders.
And yet...here she was foolishly in the Distortion World.
"Look, I may not know how to change you back into your original form, but I am willing to help you if you work with me." Myra said softly, surprising the Renegade Pokehuman. "This world is amazing and you clearly want out."
"You have no idea how much I want to have my freedom." Giratina growled, his fist clenched tightly as he thought of being free.
Myra nodded. "I can't have you taking over Sinnoh and ruling with an iron fist. So let's make a deal here and now." She held out her hand to the ruler. "I will figure out a way to reverse my family's curse and set you free-"
"Deal." He said, going to reach for her hand, but saw her jerk it back. "Hey!"
"Only if you promise not to take over the Sinnoh Region. I live in that other world and it's quite nice. You can't hold a grudge against your brothers and cause another paranormal shift in the universe. Promise me this and I will help you."
Giratina felt a bit conflicted as he thought over the terms. He grinned to himself, remembering how foolishly trusting humans could be when it came to promises. Sure, he would play along with her tactics and then when she least suspected it, he would enslave all humanity and rule the region. Maybe he'll keep her around him as a pet or something.
"Fine, I agree to these terms." He took her petite hand and shook it.
Myra smiled as she opened her laptop once more. "Then let's roll up our sleeves and get to work!"
Hoopa could sense the group as they came into her world without looking up from where she was floating. Oh what joy it was to see the oh so mighty Lady Cresselia come to visit her along with the trio of trouble and flower power. Lazily, she turned over to smirk at the worried face of the sweet dreams lady.
"My, what a surprise! Not everyday that some Sinnoh minor deities stumble upon my world." She said in a mock surprise tone. Practically feeling the lasers shooting out of Cresselia's eyes, she laughed. "Of course, I saw what happened to that poor human and assume you are here for my help to find her."
Shaymin stepped forward, shyly tugging on her dress. "Please help us Hoopa, we know you have the power to create portals! This is a matter of upmost importance, a human life is at stake."
Hoopa shrugged nonchalantly. "I fail to see how this is my problem. You were fully capable of stopping her back then when she was going to get the Griseous Orb. Why is it that you want me to fix your problem?"
"Hey, we didn't think she would choose to betray us!" Mesprit yelled at her, letting her emotions make her angry.
"You don't have anything else to do while you are trapped here either." Azelf pointed out, making Hoopa's eyes flash with anger.
"Watch your tongue, lake boy. We know that if I had my Prison Bottle, you'd be eating those words." Hoopa said with an air of menace in her voice.
"Enough with the childish bickering Hoopa and help us find the human girl." Uxie said.
Hoopa grinned down at the group before slowly descending from where she was floating. "How about we strike a little deal then? You seem so desperate to get her back after all."
Cresselia stood in front of the group, her eyes narrowed. "What kind of deal are you looking into Hoopa?"
"Just something that'll make your lives and mine worthwhile." Hoopa flew in front of her face. "If I help you locate and send you to where the human is, you'll have to do a favor for me. No questions asked, no backing out."
"Lady Cresselia, don't trust her! We don't know what she has planned!" Shaymin whispered, not letting her eyes off the djinn.
Cresselia sighed, not having any other choice unless Arceus was called. "Fine, but you must help us get her home, safe and sound."
Hoopa crossed her heart. "You have my word, my lady." They both shook hands as a purple link connected them to her. "Like I said, you owe me one when the time comes."
Deals being made, people gaining trust, but can you really believe their words? Find out next time!
