Chapter 14: No Whamon
Hey everyone! It's me, sakuraphoenix and I'm back! I know, I know. I have update issues! I'm sorry! I've been busy all summer. First my stupid cousin had to get married (and I hate that cousin for a good reason), then I couldn't get my computer fixed, so I had to start going old-fashioned and writing down my chapters when I wasn't around a computer, and now you get the story of my life, not the One Direction song, but I have heard it. Anyways, let's hit the disclaimer.

Slow down Trailmon! We're going to get sick if you keep up this speed! Is what I would've said if there weren't some evil Digimon on our tails!
"Hey bud, could you possibly go any faster?" asked Koji
"No problem. Just hang on to your bandanna." Said the Trailmon
"Koji!" Everyone exclaimed in unison
"What?" asked Koji
The Trailmon was then going so fast, I had to use Transcendent Wings just to make sure I didn't fall off!
"I was being sarcastic!" exclaimed Koji
"Zoe, is everyone okay back there?!" exclaimed Takuya
"W-we've all been better!" Zoe exclaimed while holding on tightly to Seraphimon's egg
"One way is fun, the other way we're done." Said the Trailmon
"Oh man, there's two of them." Said Koji
"Two?!" I exclaimed
"What?!" exclaimed Takuya
"How do you tell which is the right way?!" I exclaimed
"Don't know. Direction of the trails is up to the rails. We're on the right track. Yeah!" The Trailmon exclaimed as we all went right
"Well, at least it's a little bit smoother in here." Said Takuya
"I'll say. I think I was about to throw up my stomach acid." I said
I then noticed that Bokomon was staring at Seraphimon's egg, like he had something in mind.
"May I have a word? I want you to give me Seraphimon's egg. I'll take care of it now." Said Bokomon
"Huh?" everyone wondered out loud
"I'm sorry, but I happen to know more about its special needs." Bokomon said as he took Seraphimon's egg from Zoe
"Special needs? Like what?" asked Zoe
"It must be protected and nurtured by someone with life experience." Bokomon said as he put Seraphimon's egg into his pink waistband-like belt
"Have you been a mommy before?" asked Neemon
"You sure look like one." Tommy said before Leo tried to reach out for Seraphimon's egg before getting swatted away by Bokomon
"Hands off, bub! We must wash your hands before touching the egg. Honestly, what were you thinking? You might get germs on him. Don't worry baby, momma will keep you safe from them." Said Bokomon
"Hold on guys! It's getting rough again!" exclaimed Takuya
"Momma's got you. Momma's got you. Momma's got you." Bokomon kept repeating like it was some kind of mantra
Then we suddenly stopped dead cold. Why? Because we were falling!
"This is definitely not good for the baby!" Bokomon exclaimed in fear
"I always say, one good track deserves another!" The Trailmon exclaimed as we made a stop on the tracks below
That was too close for comfort, I'd say. We're in the clear, for now that is.
"End of the line and all is fine. Happy trails!" The Trailmon exclaimed while moving backwards as we all said our good-byes and thanks to the Trailmon
"That's pretty scary. He's gonna go backwards all the way home." Said Tommy
"What's scarier is that the bad Legendary Warriors are back there!" exclaimed Leo
"Then we better get out of here, and fast." I said
We all then started running through the tunnels, hoping that we could find a way out of here. Soon enough, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and I think everyone else did too.
"Hey everybody! There's an opening up ahead!" exclaimed Takuya
"Let's just hope it gets us outside." Said Koji
"Yeah." Said Takuya
And when we got out of the tunnel, we found ourselves in yet another cave system! Oh, when will it end?!
"This doesn't look like outside to me!" exclaimed J.P.
"I'd say! Does this look like outside to you?!" exclaimed Jack
"Well, duh! It's an underground cavern!" exclaimed Zoe
"Where's the exit?!" exclaimed Takuya
"Must be one somewhere." Said Crow
"Obviously." I said as Takuya, Yusei, Koji, and Matt made their way from the mouth of the tunnel to the cavern ground
"Hey! Wait for us!" exclaimed Tommy
"Yeah! If Grumblemon finds us down here, we're all Deep Sixed!" Leo exclaimed as he, Luna, Tommy, Jack, Crow, Bokomon, and Neemon made their way down
"That wasn't a good joke Leo." Said Luna
"I wasn't joking!" exclaimed Leo
"Let him find us. I'm not afraid of that stupid runt." Said J.P.
"Wow. Are you trying to impress me with a show of courage J.P.?" asked Zoe
"I'm not trying to show anything! Give me a break, will ya?! Grumblemon stole your spirit and I wanna get it back. It's as simple as that!" exclaimed J.P.
"I'm, uh…" Zoe said, with an apparent loss for words
"Maybe we should just turn back and fight him and get this over with." Said J.P.
"Do you really mean that?" asked Zoe
"Yeah. You better believe it." Said J.P.
"Well, it's your funeral." Zoe said casually
"Can I change my mind?" J.P. said with a sad look on his face
I mentally gave up at the conversation and did what I did best when I need to think. Take off my duel disk, and go for a dive underwater. The only problem was, I could only hold my breath underwater for about half a minute, max.
"Doesn't seem to be any give at all. These walls are made out of solid rock." Said Koji
"Yeah, this stupid cave is a dead end! Beat!" exclaimed Takuya
"Guess we gotta go back." Said Tommy
"That's what I was saying!" exclaimed J.P.
"I wonder if we've passed an exit somewhere back in the tunnels? It's worth a try." Said Zoey
They were unaware I heard their conversation, and I almost opened my mouth in surprise when I saw a whale-like Digimon, but I got really surprised when I was shot out of the water by some kind of geyser and was pushed into Tommy, J.P., Leo, and Luna!
"Tommy!" exclaimed Zoey
"Leo!" exclaimed Akiza
"Luna!" exclaimed Yusei
"Tommy!" exclaimed Koji
"Saki!" exclaimed Crow
"Sakura!" exclaimed Matt
"Luna! Leo!" exclaimed Jack
"I don't feel so good J.P." Tommy said while nearly fainting
"Me neither." Said Leo
"Leo! Are you okay?" asked Luna
"Oh geez. Are you alright, little guys? Hey, how come nobody yelled out my name?" asked J.P.
"Better idea, we get out of this cave! I saw one heck of a whale down there, and it ain't a joke!" I exclaimed
And it looks like it was going to surface at any time!
"Mamma mia!" exclaimed Zoe
"Definitely…" started Takuya
"Not good." Finished Koji
And my eyes weren't playing tricks! It was a whale!
"What's Whamon doing down here? He lives in the ocean." Said Bokomon
"Who's Whamon?" asked Akiza
"He's a whale Digimon, and he seems to be quite out of his element." Bokomon noted as it looked like Whamon was suffering
"I can't stand it anymore! You hear me?! I can't stand it!" exclaimed Whamon
"He's all normally a gentle Digimon. Something really must be upsetting him." Said Bokomon
"I wanna go home! I wanna go home! I wanna go home!" Whamon exclaimed on the verge of tears
"We gotta stop him!" exclaimed Koji
"Um… alright. I'm ready to go when you are. Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Takuya
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Koji
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Jack
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Yusei
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Crow
"Execute! Spirit Evolution! Kizunamon!" exclaimed Matt
"Lobomon!" exclaimed Koji
"Rulermon!" exclaimed Jack
"Starmon!" exclaimed Yusei
"Wingmon!" exclaimed Crow
"Agunimon!" exclaimed Takuya
And just like that, they jumped onto Whamon!
"Alright big guy, just calm down." Said Koji
"Yeah, what is the matter with you?" asked Takuya
"That's what I wanna know." Said Matt
"Leave me alone!" Whamon exclaimed while thrashing about
This is going to be a long day… at least, until he calmed down, which he did after I put him to sleep for a bit.
"You seem to be feeling a little better Whamon. Can you tell us why you were so upset?" asked Zoe
"Oh, I hate explaining. I just wanna go back to my home in the ocean. U-until very recently, I was swimming, happy and free under the sea. Not a care in the world. Then, one day, I saw these delicious looking glowing plants. I couldn't help myself. I decided to take a little nibble. Oh, they were good. Next thing I knew, I was stuck in this place with no way out!" Whamon exclaimed as he began crying like a fire hydrant
"Here we go again." Said Crow
"You don't have to be such a big crybaby." Said Jack
"Way to put it Rulermon." Sighed Yusei
"You're sure losing a lot of water. Is that normal?" asked Neemon
"No idea." Said Bokomon
"This is embarrassing. Does he really think all of that blubbering is gonna help him?" J.P. wondered out loud before wincing in pain
"Hey. Are you okay J.P.?" asked Tommy
"I'll be fine once I get this pain to go away." J.P. said in pain
"And… and… and… and… and… and it's my fault that you guys got hurt. I'm so sorry!" exclaimed Whamon
"You're forgiven, alright?" J.P. said to Whamon, while still in pain
"Yeah, what he said." I said
"Well, at least you have some company now." Said Zoe
"Zoe's right. We're stuck here too." Said Akiza
"Yeah. Maybe with your help we can figure out a way to get out of here." Said Yusei
"Huh? Okay!" exclaimed Whamon
Suddenly the water level started to drop! That's definitely not good, especially since I didn't see any tunnels that led out from that miniature pond!
"What is happening?" asked Takuya
"Don't know, but look!" exclaimed Matt
"Whamon!" we all exclaimed in unison
"Now that is not normal." Said Bokomon
And troll face is back! Give us a break, will ya?!
"Grumblemon!" we all exclaimed in unison
"Nowhere hide now. Me find you! Me so glad to see each other again, only this time me steal your spirits good!" Grumblemon exclaimed with an evil smirk on his face
"You're an annoying little gnome, you know that?" asked Koji
"Yeah! What he said!" exclaimed Takuya
"Oh, and by the way, we're gonna make sure that you don't steal anything from anyone ever again!" exclaimed Matt
"Yeah! We're not afraid of you anymore, Grumblemon!" exclaimed Takuya
"Then again, it's hard to be afraid of such a runt." I said
"Nya nya nya nya, nya nya Grumblemon. You will be." Grumblemon said while pulling out some kind of small vial
Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Answer: all of the pink dust creating brown circles.
"You only take Gigasmon's spirit, but me have other powers. You no can beat me. Earth Spirits be mine! Me first to find you, so Mercurymon and others no will have you now. Be too late for them! Meet my new friends!" Grumblemon exclaimed as a multitude of Earth golems appeared
I can definitely think of better days than this.
"Get them!" exclaimed Grumblemon
And they were on the offensive!
"Let's turn these rocks into pebble! Pyro Tornado!" exclaimed Takuya
Let's take four out of the ball game. Nice one Takuya.
"Lobo Kendo!" exclaimed Koji
And that's six for the win.
"Assist! Lobo Kendo!" exclaimed Matt
And that's a grand total of eight for Matt.
"Feather Strike!" exclaimed Crow
That's ten.
"Forcing Judgment!" exclaimed Jack
Twelve.
"Star Shot!" exclaimed Yusei
And now we were at a grand total of fourteen! But in all seriousness, we were seriously cornered here!
"Uh, excuse me gentlemen. We could use some assistance over here!" exclaimed Bokomon
"Be right there!" exclaimed Takuya
"We're on the way." Said Koji
"Just hang in there!" exclaimed Matt
That was until they were tied up by that Digimon from before! What was his name again…? Oh yeah! Now I remember! Arbormon!
"Intervention is always the best medicine, right?" asked Arbormon
And they were being seriously choked. We gotta do something!
"Hey! Let go!" exclaimed J.P.
But he was too badly hurt from Whamon's little water spout. Can't say it was a comfortable trip.
"No! You can't fight in this condition!" exclaimed Zoe
"She's right! The best thing we can do now is hide!" exclaimed Bokomon
"Hey! Great hiding! You're invisible!" exclaimed Neemon
"Over here brainiac." Bokomon said in an annoyed tone
"Huh. Wow, you're pretty fast too." Said Neemon
"You meathead! The only reason I'm hiding is because I have to protect Seraphimon's egg!" exclaimed Bokomon
"Mm-hmm." Neemon said while looking at Bokomon weirdly
"I refuse to just hide and give up!" exclaimed J.P.
"J.P., you're too badly hurt right now." Said Tommy
"Yeah. I'm sure Agunimon, Lobomon, Kizunamon, Rulermon, Wingmon, and Starmon can think of something." Said Luna
"We have to trust them!" exclaimed Leo
"Come on Zoe, think. Oh, if only I could spirit evolve." Zoe said while looking at her D-Tector
Zoe… that does it. Troll face and his gang of goons are becoming dust!
"I don't know how long they can keep this up." Said Tommy
"Me neither." Said Leo
J.P. and I then took a step closer to Grumblemon. I don't care if I'm no match. He's gone too far. Him and his buddies.
"J.P., Sakura, what are you two doing?" asked Luna
"Tommy?" asked J.P.
"Yeah?" asked Tommy
"I'm going in. You guys watch out for Zoe." Said J.P.
"That goes double for me." I said
"They've lost it." Said Zoe
"Yeah, they can't stop them." Said Tommy
"I agree with you on that." Said Akiza
"That it bitty boy and girl. Spirit Evolve! Fight me! Or is you too weak?" asked Grumblemon
"He's just egging you on. Get out of there!" exclaimed Bokomon
"We're not gonna let him win. We won't stand here and let Grumblemon hurt our friends." Said J.P.
"Stole the words right out of my mouth." I said
"I'm with ya." Said Tommy
"Me too." Said Leo
"Me three." Said Luna
"Me four." Said Akiza
"Are you guys sure?" asked J.P.
"Uh-huh." Tommy, Leo, Luna, and Akiza said in unison
Guess we're in no position to argue now.
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Akiza
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed J.P.
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Leo
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" exclaimed Luna
"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" I exclaimed
"Execute! Spirit Evolution! Kumamon!" exclaimed Tommy
"Lunamon!" I exclaimed
"Fairymon!" exclaimed Luna
"Spiritmon!" exclaimed Leo
"Beetlemon!" exclaimed J.P.
"Fleurmon!" exclaimed Akiza
"Go Golemon!" exclaimed Grumblemon
"You ready to rock these blockheads?!" exclaimed J.P.
"Yep! Let's roll!" exclaimed Tommy
"I think the expression is 'let's rock and roll', but whatever." I said in a playful tone
"What they said." Leo, Luna, and Akiza said in unison
"Thunder Fist!" J.P. exclaimed as his fist hit the ground and got rid of five Golemon
"Crystal Freeze!" Tommy exclaimed as he froze three of the Golemon solid
"Quintessence Arrow!" exclaimed Luna
"Holy Sword!" exclaimed Leo
"Petal Storm!" exclaimed Akiza
"Planetary Laser!" I exclaimed
And now the leader Golemon.
"We're tired of playing with you. We're going to make you pay for all you've done!" exclaimed Beetlemon
"You're kidding, right?" asked Grumblemon
"Thunder Fist!" exclaimed J.P.
"Don't leave us out of it! Petal Storm!" Akiza exclaimed as she launched her petals at the leader Golemon
"Silver Plume!" exclaimed Golemon
And that one knocked J.P. and Akiza to their backs. That's gotta hurt. Plus, they were back to normal! Not good.
"Weak humans. Fighting you not even work up sweat! Arbormon, take care of them while me get spirits!" Grumblemon exclaimed to Arbormon
"I'm on it Grumbe, but first I gotta change into something more comfortable. Arbormon, Slide Evolution!" exclaimed Arbormon
And now he looked like some overgrown axolotl!
"Petaldramon. Much better!" exclaimed Petaldramon
And now Grumblemon had his hammer!
"Seismic Slam!" exclaimed Grumblemon
"Blasting Spout!" exclaimed Whamon
And that blasted Grumblemon into the wall behind us! Not only that, but Whamon had two Beast Spirits inside of him! That must've been what the glowing plants were!
"No way. I can't believe it." Said J.P.
"Well, start believing. They're our Beast Spirits." Akiza said as the Spirits floated into front of J.P. and Akiza
And that's when Grumblemon finally got out, but his nose looked squished.
"No fair! Those spirits mine!" exclaimed Grumblemon
"Oh! So that's what they were. It did taste a little gave for a plant." Said Whamon
"You can't have spirit! It's mine, mine, mine, mine!" exclaimed Grumblemon
"Think again!" exclaimed Akiza
"Not today! It's our turn to play!" exclaimed J.P.
They managed to get the spirits before Grumblemon could. I have a feeling he's the comic relief today.
"Execute! Beast Spirit Evolution!" J.P. and Akiza exclaimed in unison
J.P. pretty much looked like Beetlemon included with a giant cannon on wheels! And Akiza looked exactly like Elemental Hero Poison Rose!
"MetalKabuterimon!" exclaimed J.P.
"PoisonRosemon!" exclaimed Akiza
"Oh my! It's the Legendary Beast Warrior of Plants and Thunder!" exclaimed Bokomon
"Molto Bene. J.P. and Akiza turned into them?!" Zoe said in shock
"Bolo Thunder!" J.P. exclaimed while launching his attack
This wasn't going to end well!
"Hang on everyone! Rose Shields!" Akiza exclaimed as she launched numerous flower petals around the room
The petals protected us from J.P.'s out of control Beast Spirit! At least Akiza had hers in check.
"Don't be hasty now, friend." Grumblemon said while backing away in fear
"You're no friend of mine, Grumblemon! You don't even understand the meaning of friendship!" exclaimed J.P.
"I'll hold him down! Thorn Snare!" Akiza exclaimed while slamming her hands on the ground
Vines of thorns appeared from the ground and ensnared Grumblemon and the last Golemon! But the thorns looked like they hurt. Good thing that wasn't me on the other end of that.
"Electron Cannon!" exclaimed J.P.
And that got Grumpy's Fractal Code to appear, along with Zoe's Spirit!
"MetalKabuterimon, Slide Evolution! Beetlemon! It's back to the end for you, pal! Fractal Code, Digitize!" exclaimed J.P.
What was left of Grumblemon turned into a Digi-egg and the Spirit of Earth went to J.P. Meanwhile, Zoe finally got her spirit back!
"Hey! Welcome back! Huh?" wondered Zoe
J.P. and Akiza were exhausted. Can't say I blame them.
"J.P.! J.P., are you alright?" asked Zoe
"Hmm? Got your spirit back. At least I did something to make you happy." Said J.P.
"That's so sweet. Thank you, J.P., I really mean it." Said Zoe
"Akiza?" I asked Akiza as I helped her up
"I'm fine. Thanks for worrying about me." Said Akiza
That was when the cave rumbled, and the ceiling was about to cave in! Not only that, but the boys didn't look happy! Suddenly water was pouring in everywhere! Oh great! I can't swim! A while later, we were all in some kind of dark place.
"Did we die?" asked Tommy
"Uh… I don't think so." Said Zoe
"Smells like something did." J.P. said while holding his nose
Then wherever we were opened up! Then that means… we're in Whamon's mouth! But I have to admit, I love this ocean view.
"Whoa!" everyone exclaimed at once
"It's the ocean!" exclaimed Tommy
"It's Whamon!" we all exclaimed in unison before laughing
"I don't know how you saved us, but thank you." Said Bokomon
"Yeah, and welcome home, Whamon." Said Zoe
"Oh, I'm the one who should be thanking you. Without your help, I might've been stuck in that cave forever! Hold on everybody! We should be reaching the island very soon!" exclaimed Whamon
"I-Island?" asked Takuya
"Could be worse. At least we have those evil Legendary Warriors off our tails for now." I said while smiling
And we're done folks! Whew! Okay, I've got to start updating my stories more often! I'm already lagging behind! I'm probably going to do plenty of double updates for my major stories, but otherwise, I'll still be around.
