A/N: I'm back! Thanks to everyone that returned after the prolonged absence. As I said last chapter I intend to put the chunin exams behind us this time so it may be another longer chapter. If you prefer the chapters to be around the same length as the last one then let me know. I have only kept them as short as I did because in the beginning it seemed to be the preferred length. Also a big thank you to the people that informed me that the last chapter turned into a text wall. If you haven't gone back to read itI have since fixed the issue. I'm going to be more careful when uploading the chapters so hopefully I will be able to catch the loss of formatting before the chapter is available. Anyway back to your normally scheduled program!
TM11: I am unsure of all the abilities that I intend to give the Tenseigan as it was only ever shown as giving a chakra cloak similar to Naruto's and the unique powers similar to the Deva path. For such a hyped up dojutsu to have it's own movie I feel that is underwhelming so I will be adding to it. I just gave those ones for now as they complimented the juken well.
mir19: Mostly they are trying to get their bodies back to the point that they can use their original skill sets. While they have made progress Sasuke isn't capable of using the Rinnegan yet. I am also unsure if I will let him keep it as it was only in one eye.
Marquis shax: I was forced to re-upload the chapter because all of the formatting in the second half got deleted somehow.
MrFloridaMan: Yes. Naruto will gain the mokuton in the story but not for a long time. Thanks for reminding me about the proposal that Danzo made. LOL. I actually forgot about that. That would have been bad since that will be coming up shortly.

"Please remain calm and follow your teacher!" A voice rang out through the hallways as the academy students were quickly herded through the building towards the escape passages built into the school for this reason.
"Umino-san, what is happening out there?"
"If you panic so will the students, calm down a little." Iruka scolded his colleague who had the decency to look embarrassed. "Are all of the classrooms clear?"
"All the classrooms are clear but there were several classes not in their room. I thin k one of them was working on taijutsu and the other was outside with bukijutsu."
"Get the kids that were working inside and get them to the shelter I will work on the ones outside. Hurry! We need to seal off the entrance soon so that we won't be followed." Nodding at the scarred chunin the two bolted in two different directions. Iruka rushing towards the back yard hoping that the students hadn't been attacked yet.
"Get inside now! Get them to the shelter." Iruka snapped at the teacher who seemed frozen. Gritting his teeth he looked towards the students. "Do you remember the route we took during the drills last month?"
"Yes."
"Good lead your classmates and get them to safety."
"Hai sensei."
"Stay together do not wander off. This is to be taken just as seriously as the drill." He instructed before he spun drawing a kunai and bringing it up into a defensive grip meeting another half-way. "Go!"
"Where's the rest of the chunin? Did they run off in fear? They had more sense than that one at least." The Oto nin sneered glancing at the frozen man.
"I won't let you harm a single hair on any of the students!"
"Brave words for a teacher."
"Teacher's lead by example. If I can't fight against an enemy for my home how could I possibly expect the students to do so when they get their headbands?"
"Foolish." He snapped bringing his leg up and kicking Iruka in the abdomen sending him flying into the side of the building only to dodge a foot aimed at his head.
"The substitution of course."
"Naturally." Iruka growled drawing another kunai and meeting the Oto nin in an intricate, yet, lethal dance. While the two may have seemed to be evenly matched, Iruka was gritting his teeth. It was only now that he realized just how much he had let his training suffer after becoming a teacher. All the late nights had caused his skills to deteriorate. Vowing to pick up his training if he survived he felt himself be launched from the air and performed another replacement to get some breathing room.
"Get out here and stop hiding you coward!"
'It's not cowardice.' Iruka thought twitching. 'It's called stealth and shinobi tactics. Who taught you how to be a shinobi?'
"Fine if you won't come out here and die like a man, then your friend will be the first!" He yelled launching a kunai at the prone chunin only to curse when it struck a log instead. Before he could locate the missing shinobi he felt pressure on the back of his neck and then nothing as the world faded to black.
"Thanks Naruto, I don't think I would have made it."
"No problem. Sorry I let one get by me." He apologized before raising his hand and slapping the terrified ninja across the face. That seemed to do the trick as he snapped back to life and glared at the blonde who rolled his eyes.
"Yeah I know I slapped you. The big scary Kyubi brat hit you. Get over it! You almost cost your entire class their lives by freezing up like that!" He yelled getting the man to lower his head in embarrassment.
"We'll talk later about that." Iruka sighed. "Catch up with your class. I'll be right behind you. Naruto try not to slap to many people today."
"No promises." He replied as several clones came into the field saluted and then dispelled. Nodding he waited until both chunin were inside the building before speeding through hand seals.
"Jihi no boei! Fuin."
'That should keep the building and the passageway intact. I know that they used summoning snakes last time to break through the walls. However, my clones should have interrupted the summoning by now. Hinata and Sasuke are taking care of the Hospital...Reservoir is covered. Business district it is.' He thought to himself running through a list of the areas that had been hardest hit in the last invasion.
'Just please don't let Orochimaru have thought ahead and bring Kimimaro or Jugo. I don't want to fight either one of them.' He prayed. Taking a deep breath he jumped off towards he destination and began to focus on the seal.
'Academy's clear. I am heading to the business district. Most of the residential area has been cleared already and the last stragglers are being moved as we speak. So far we have already cut down on the casualties by well over 60% just by spreading our clones out like we did.'
'Good. Hospital's safe. All the injured have been moved into the building and the barrier is active. Good thinking on that.' Sasuke replied.
'How's Hinata?' Naruto asked privately.
'Terrifying. I just watched her threaten to do surgery without an anesthetic if the nin she was treating didn't stop resisting.'
'They do know that she can't legally do that, right?'
'Her excuse when he pointed it out "there wasn't enough time and I had to make do in order to prevent him from bleeding to death." Remind me not to get on her bad side while I'm her patient.'
'Noted.' Naruto chirped and glanced towards the rooftop. 'Be careful Kakashi-sensei.'
With Kakashi...
"So Orochimaru, why don't we skip the warm-up I know that you have been wanting to do. We all are busy people and have other things that we prefer doing. So how about we get this over with?" Kakashi declared lazily at the sannin.
"You...have become far more interesting than expected. Almost as much as your genin. Though I am curious as to what makes you think that any of you can beat me? I have after-all achieved immortality."
"You didn't...You completed the jutsu?" Hiruzen asked in horror.
"No he didn't. Otherwise he wouldn't need Sasuke's body, just his eyes." Kakashi corrected making Orochimaru's eyes narrow. "If he had immortality in that body he wouldn't be willing to leave it even if it gained him the sharingan. It is a semi-immortality that depends on you or your chakra isn't it?"
"You know far more than you should, Hatake. How?"
"I'm a ninja. I looked underneath the underneath and pieced the puzzle together."
"You need to die." Kakashi merely shrugged and vanished in a burst of speed that took everyone by surprise and slammed a Rasengan into the sannin's side revealing it to be a mud clone.
"I thought we were skipping the warm-up? Escaping won't work Orochimaru." Kakashi declared to the traitor ducking and mule kicking the sannin as he over extended. Orochimaru righted himself in the air only to curse as he was punched across the rooftop by a lightening covered arm courtesy of the Raikage.
"Sandaime-sama it is far from my place but if you don't fight seriously I am going to have to ask you to leave the battlefield as you are nothing more than a liability at that point. One way or another he dies today." The Sandaime flinched but steeled himself to do what he should have already done. Flying through hand-seals he quickly summoned Enma and had him transform into a bo staff. Just as quickly Orochimaru finished his hand-seals and slammed them on the ground.
"Kuchiyose Edo Tensei." The coffins rose before anyone could stop them and Kakashi smirked at the three raised shinobi.
"Shodaime-sama. Nidaime-sama. Mito-sama." He gave a slight bow and then rushed forward. "Sorry to cut this plan down before it starts Orochimaru. However, the Edo Tenseihas one major flaw that you have overlooked."
"What might that be?" Orochimaru snapped rushing to place the tags into the heads of the resurrected shinobi. Succeeding with the Senju brothers he watched in horror as Kakashi merely phased through the shinobi that had rushed forward to stop him. Mito tilted her head in interest as Tobirama had never mentioned a flaw before. Reaching the snake sannin he slammed his hands into the snake's stomach and grinned victoriously.
"It's in the name." He said as the Senju brothers regained control, the tags combusting near instantly. "Kuchiyose. It's a summoning and that means that it is affected by the contract seal. However, this one is a slight modification of the one that Shodaime-sama used on Madara."
"What have you done?!"
"I canceled all the contracts you had, including the one with the snake clan. Furthermore, the three you just summoned were released from your control and can only be returned to the afterlife when they choose to leave." He explained and slammed a hastily formed Rasengan into the sannin once more. Placing some distance between them he gave a victorious smile.
"To think that I had overlooked that..." Tobirama mused out loud before glaring as Hashirama slapped the back of his head.
"I told you to destroy the jutsu, didn't I?"
"Ah.." Was an almost weak reply making Mito giggle at their antics.
"That is some seal master to have altered the contract seal so well."
"I would hope Lady Mito, he is an Uzumaki and the heir to the country to boot."
"Is he now? Where is he?"
"Assisting in evacuating the village and disposing of the threat to the village. You know standard genin protocol." Kakashi said giggling at the looks he received in reply. Then he turned to look back at Orochimaru in annoyance. "Now then, I believe we were going to skin a traitor."
At the Hospital...
"I think that all of the injured have finally been brought in." A jonin said as she gently laid an elderly woman on a gurney and looking around. The attack while somewhat anticipated had still been a surprise and yet there was far less injured and casualties than she expected. Granted the areas that had been hit had yet to be cleared but so far it appeared as if they had gotten off easy.
"Good." Sasuke replied making her jump. "That means that the whole village has been evacuated properly. Hinata, that's our cue. You good on chakra?"
"Hai. I'll be of no more help here anyway. The rest of the patients are beyond my level to treat."
"Good. The barrier will hold so now we just have to rendezvous with the dobe." He said as they turned and sped through the gates before the jonin could lecture them about village protocol.
"Are they trying to die? They are just genin!" She screamed in frustration.
"Hardly." A voice called out catching her attention. "You weren't at the stadium for the exams. You didn't see what they are capable of. It's not just them either. It's their whole class." An injured jonin called from where he was resting a broken leg that had been placed in a cast.
"All of them are at least high chunin maybe even low jonin in skill set." Another spoke. Frowning she tilted her head and glanced towards the door. That couldn't be right, right?
"Once we catch up to dobe we will be sweeping the village and disposing of the riff-raff. You remember the plan?"
"Yeah. Capture all Suna nin alive if possible and eliminate all Oto nin."
"Good." Sasuke said as they sped over roof tops before coming to a halt and jumping back quickly avoiding an attack he almost didn't see coming.
"Sasuke Uchiha, Orochimaru-sama requests that your presence."
"No thanks."
'Dobe, he brought both of them.'
'FUCK!'
'Not so loud.'
'Sorry. Where are you? Never mind found you.' He groaned.
'Hurry up. You said that you were hoping that they could be taken alive. You are the only one that I know that could possibly sway their minds.' Tilting his head to the side he never even blinked as a kunai thrown by an Oto nin sailed by his face.
"I thought he wanted me alive? That was aimed to kill."
"Ignore the trash."
"Hinata, be extremely careful. These are two of Orochimaru's strongest followers."
"Hai." Almost immediately she jumped into the air activating her Tenseigan and strung her bow aiming at the group of Oto shinobi behind them.
"Aro kage bunshin no jutsu." As the rain of arrows fell on the shinobi behind his opponent Sasuke narrowed his eyes at the man before him.
'Kimimaru Kaguya. Last of the Kaguya clan and the first person capable of controlling Jugo. He was able to fight two jinchuriki and Lee while terminally ill and only failed to kill Gaara and Lee due to his illness claiming his life.'
"If you will not come willingly I will drag you."
"Sorry not interested." Sasuke replied rushing forward drawing his sword in the process. His blade met a white sword made from Kimimaro's own bone and the two began to struggle for dominance. Kimimaro was surprised that he wasn't quickly ending the battle despite what he had been told by the snake sannin and applied more force only to release his blade and jump back to avoid being bisected vertically as Sasuke's sparking blade cleaved through his sword.
"I won't lie. I was worried when I realized that you were a Kaguya but it seems as if I was worried needlessly."
"Why do you say that?"
"It seems that your bloodline works by hardening the minerals, mainly the calcium, in your bones to absurd levels making them nearly indestructible. However, that functions in a very similar way to how the Iwa nins harden their bodies with earth natured chakra. So it behaves in a similar fashion to doton chakra when placed against raiton chakra. It isn't the exact same and it takes more focus but I seem to be your worst opponent."
"Be silent trash."
"Make me. Although I am curious why someone as strong as you is as loyal to someone like Orochimaru."
"He gave me purpose."
"No he didn't. Purpose isn't something that can be given. It is something that must be found through your own experiences and beliefs. What Orochimaru gave you was a death sentence wrapped up in fancy wording. Something that he is rather good at. Manipulating people with words."
"You wouldn't understand."
"Wouldn't I? We are both the last of our clans. We were both something of an anomaly among them. Both of us lost our 'purpose' on their deaths. Yet, you are the only one dying while I am flourishing away from Orochimaru. You can't tell me that the man working on immortality is incapable of diagnosing what is wrong with you and how to fix it. Or that the medic who was capable of replicating an Uzumaki seal through experiments is incapable of healing you."
"SILENCE!" Sasuke dove to his right avoiding the enraged Kaguya as he made to remove his head.
"Again I thought I was to be taken alive?" Sasuke mused out loud only to avoid having his skull caved in dodging Jugo's attack. Spinning he intercepted a hail of kunai launched at his back and cursed.
"Hi Kabuto been awhile. Hope being a traitor isn't to hard on your fragile body. Heaven forbid you spend any time outside of civilization. Who knows how long it will be before you recover from the shock."
"Sarcasm. You're scared aren't you Sasuke? Jugo please be careful. Orochimaru-sama has ordered all of team seven to be taken alive."
"To bad it won't happen!" A voice yelled from above making Kabuto jump back to avoid an axe kick. "Sasuke, deal with Jugo you are perhaps the only one who can calm him. Hinata, be careful and take Kabuto. Don't let up he is as tricky as his master. I'll deal with Kimimaro." Naruto ordered and the team instantly split apart with Kabuto's mind whirling at how he knew their names.
"Don't let Kabuto escape!" Sasuke and Naruto called in perfect unison before snickering and refocusing on their own opponents.
"More trash. It matters not. I will be taking the three of you with me when I leave."
"Actually, Kimimaro that won't be happening as I can't let you return to Orochimaru's side. The fact of the matter is that the curse seal he "gifted" you with is only making you worse. All the sannin has done is bring you closer to death while taking advantage of your strength and desperation."
"All that matters is being useful to Orochimaru-sama."
"How useful are you to him now?" Kimimaro froze in mid-step. "How important were you to him that he would abandon you the second something inconveniences him? If he truly wanted your body then he would have made every attempt possible to cure your illness and not discard you. He only wanted you as a placeholder for Sasuke. The problem is Sasuke has no intention of going to him. Orochimaru subconsciously knows this but is denying it thinking that Sasuke is the same as he is."
"Silence!"
"Painful, isn't it? Knowing that you were being taken advantage of and that the one person you thought that you could trust was lying the whole time. Trust me I know how it feels. That has been most of my life."
"Orochimaru-sama would not let me die if he could have fixed me and thus retained his use for me."
"Who were his teammates?"
"I tire of the conversation."
"Who were his teammates?! Answer the question Kimimaro. Or did he never tell you who was on his genin team? Did no one tell you?"
"Useless information about trash."
"Not useless." Naruto countered twisting out of the way of one of Kimimaro's slashes. "His teammates were Jiraiya the toad sage, a fuinjutsu specialist and Tsunade Senju one of the best medics that Konoha has ever seen! She revolutionized the way that medicine is viewed and looked at today. There is no way he didn't pick up on some of her knowledge especially since his goal is know everything and become immortal. In order to do that he would have to stop the body's natural aging process and have immense knowledge on the human body. To know everything he would have to learn medical jutsu. How could he not know how to fix you or at least have an idea of how to slow the process down long enough for a cure to be made?"
"Don't you find it strange that he gave up so quickly? He wants, no, needs to know everything that includes your bloodline techniques. However, like most geniuses he doesn't want to do the hard work to get that knowledge. Curing you would pull his attention away from the goal and that was an inconvenience. So he decided to cut ends loose. That means letting you die since you know to much about him. Think about it Kimimaro. I know that you aren't stupid so stop acting like it and use your head for once! What do you think will happen to Jugo once you die? He will be locked up and any and all "attempts" to "help" him will stop immediately. Most likely with some half-assed lie that will prevent him from rebelling against him. Does Jugo mean nothing to you?"
Naruto watched as Kimimaro's attacks seemed to slow as his rant continued until they came to a complete stop. He knew that his words were getting to the Kaguya he just hoped that he would make the right choice in the matter. He knew that there was some part of Kimimaro that wasn't satisfied with the way that his life had been. He just needed to bring it to the surface. He had to. He didn't want another person to die because of Orochimaru. Especially another innocent who had been manipulated in the first place.
"What would I do?" The white haired teen asked after a long silence.
"Anything you wanted. Jugo needs you to be his support Kimimaro. He knows that he can't control himself and that frightens him. He would rather be locked in a cage the rest of his life if it meant he never hurt another person again. Do you want that for him? To be locked in a cage because of something that is out of his control? Do you want Jugo to wander lost like you were after your clan's death?" Naruto took a hesitant step forward and then pointed to where Sasuke was attempting to make eye contact with Jugo.
"He hates hurting people. He hates seeing violence. He love nature and animals. If Orochimaru was sincere then why did he bring Jugo here to witness one of the few things that set him off? Why would he intentionally send him here to hurt people? Why would he use Jugo's ability to make a seal that has a one in ten survival chance? He doesn't care about anyone but himself Kimimaro. He is just good at lying to make it seem like he does. You know that deep down inside but you keep it buried because it hurt you to doubt him after he twisted your mind to obsessively worship him."
"If you wanted you could be Jugo's escort to the day he dies to keep his power in line. Just spend time with your friend. That could be your purpose if that is what your heart desired. The only reason you didn't have one is because your clan and the hidden mist trained you to ignore your heart." Naruto appealed to the teen who seemed lost in his own mind.
"What...is a flower's purpose?"
"To be pretty. To bring comfort. To be a source of food for insects and animals and to provide the very oxygen we require to live. All the while taking in the waste we exhale and using it to sustain it's own life. To aid in healing and to save lives. Most importantly it's purpose to to exist. No one knows why we exist only that we do. There isn't a single person on this planet that knows what they are meant to do in life only that we have things that we want to do, to accomplish. To create a lasting mark on the world so that we are remembered after we die."
"Some people claim that they know they have found their purpose when they do something and it just feels right. Like they were meant to do that the whole time. Does anything you have done for Orochimaru feel right? Does dying so a madman can achieve an impossible dream seem right to you? Or did it feel right when you became Jugo's friend and helped him leave the place you had been in previously. As I said no one can tell you your purpose you have to find it on your own. That is what life is. A journey to find your reason. It never ends. Not even after death."
"The question that you have to ask yourself Kimimaro is: Are you living or merely existing? They are not one in the same."
Sasuke...
'This is stupid.' Sasuke thought to himself as he dodged yet another attack. 'How did I do this the first time?!' Ducking once more his eyes widened as he saw and opening and immediately took it. Ducking inside of Jugo's guard he locked eyes with the sage in training and spoke calmly.
"Enough Jugo." The orange haired man stop mid step and slowly began to limp as the tension, madness and aggression faded from his frame.
"You...stopped me. Only Kimimaro has been able to do that before."
"I know. However, the sharingan has a hypnotic effect and I can suppress your chakra if necessary. Kimimaro does it naturally, however." Sasuke replied honestly.
"You knew who we were. Knew how to split to make the best use of your talents. How?"
"I'm afraid that is something that I can not divulge to just anyone."
"Kimimaro! Is he alright? Will he be okay?"
"If he listens to the dobe instead of closing his mind to anything that he doesn't want to hear, he will be fine."
"Why?"
"Kimimaro is a very powerful opponent and an even stronger ally, Jugo. Unfortunately, he has allied with the wrong person. Dobe has a hero complex. He always has to save everyone he can. That is just the way he is. He is trying to save you both from the snake."
"Why though? We mean nothing to him."
"You mean everything to him. His dream to become Hokage and to protect the hidden leaf. However, he can't just protect the leaf and expect us to be safe forever. He needs to be willing and ready to save anyone who needs it so that they can become the best version of themselves that they can be. If he only ever focused on the people that he knew and cared about being Hokage would be the last thing he would want to do in life."
"I see." Jugo glanced to where they had last seen Kimimaro and Sasuke and silently prayed that his friend would be okay.
With Hinata...
"Why can't I hit you?!" Kabuto screamed in frustration as Hinata gracefully weaved through all of his attacks. Anytime he thought that he had hit her she had burst into smoke revealing that she had either replaced or used the shadow clone. He shouldn't be having this much trouble with the Hyuga's outcast. He was easily jonin level and she wasn't that strong. Her file said she was at best high chunin level!
'Wait a minute...did Kakashi and the other jonin censor how much of the genin's skills wound up in their files?! Why would they have done that unless...they knew somehow that there had been a spy with access to the files. Or they had been keeping the Sandaime in the dark for some reason. However, omitting this much information could be considered as treasonous.'
"Tell me how much of your file is accurate?" Kabuto said pausing to catch his breath.
"Enough to avoid treason. Not enough for anyone to get an accurate read on my skills." Kabuto felt his eyes widen in shock at the confession.
"So it was on purpose? Why are you telling me this?"
"Of course it was. As for why I'm telling you this...it's because you won't be telling anyone anyway."
"How do you figure?" Kabuto was rapidly trying to find a way away from the girl but every escape plan failed when he counted in her eyes.
"You won't be leaving Konoha alive. Neither you or Orochimaru." Kabuto felt his heart skip a beat at the statement and gritted his teeth. He had to get to Orochimaru-sama and fast.
"There's no point. Kakashi-sensei should have already released the Edo Tensei by now. You won't make it."
"Then I'll just have to go through you!" He said rushing at her once more and Hinata narrowed her eyes slightly. 'Just like Naruto-kun thought. He is fanatically attached to Orochimaru and any indication that Orochimaru is in trouble he can't get out of will cause him to snap and become sloppily.'
"Farewell, Kabuto." Hinata said quietly as she notched another arrow. He had been so frustrated that he hadn't noticed her trap and now it was to late. "Taiyo no hageshi keimusho."
As the arrow flew towards him and combusted it felt almost as if time had slowed to a stop for Kabuto. Instead of striking him however, it struck another of Hinata's arrows and split it straight down the middle. The fire enveloped arrow caused the ones around it to combust and to Kabuto's growing horror the fire began to race across a path of intricately woven ninja wire in a pattern that was cutting off all escape. Gritting his teeth he prepared to sink into the ground when he finally noticed something that he had missed in his anger and frustration. Ever since the first arrow had "missed" him he had ignored them and continued believing that she just wasn't that accurate while aiming at a moving target. Now he realized that she had hit all of her targets and that the arrows had slowly but steadily covering the ground in a black water like substance. A substance that quickly reminded him of the Suiton: Kokuu no jutsu. Even if he sank into the ground he would still be covered in the oil and would still be caught in the jutsu.
Hinata shook her head as Kabuto seemed to realize his predicament a few seconds to late. When she had learned the Kokuu no jutsu it had been as a way to supplement the range of her Taiyo no koka. However, because it the water release was constantly in conflict with her fire release she had found a work around to minimize the chakra cost. She had collected the resulting oil and painstakingly sealed exact amounts of it into a special set of arrows that would then release it from it's seal five seconds after making contact with a solid surface. Down below the ground erupted in a massive fiery vortex that was producing so much heat nearby weapons were beginning to melt. She was keeping a close eye on Kabuto to ensure that he hadn't escape and sighed when his chakra vanished completely. It wasn't her preferred method of disposing of an enemy but it was effective.
With Kakashi...
Orochimaru was not having a good day. He had gotten out of bed this morning with the intention to raze Konoha to the ground and kill his sensei. However, everything had started to go wrong the second the matches had started. All of Kabuto's data had been wrong in regards to the genin and they had performed at a better level than he had expected. Then Gaara had been removed from the invasion when both TenTen and Naruto had tampered with and altered the seal holding Shukaku. Something that he was certain had been deliberate. After that they had slowly but surely displayed skills that none of them should have had. Seriously, how did a Yamanaka with no connection to the Shodaime manifest the mokuton?! How had the Uzumaki girl reverse engineer Tsunade's strength technique?! How hadn't they known that the Uzumaki boy had his chakra chains?! None of this was making sense and he had not been able to get in contact with Karin for over a month!
Now, he was being forced to fight the shinobi that he had reanimated to fight against Konoha because that damned Hatake had found a flaw in the jutsu that he hadn't even known about! He had studied the jutsu intensively so there shouldn't have been one after he modified it slightly. Yet, there had been one and it was a technicality to boot. Weighing his options Orochimaru decided that a retreat was the best option and glanced at the four nins holding the barrier.
"Drop the barrier we're leaving!" He demanded. The four did as they were told only to be trapped in another barrier that sprung up around them and three of the sound four were quickly beheaded in the confusion with Tayuya being taken captive. Screaming in frustration he spun to look at Kakashi with pure hatred visible on his normally calm face.
"What have you done now?!"
"He didn't do anything Orochimaru, I did." A familiar voice called out from the outside of the barrier. Turning to look he grit his teeth in anger.
"Karin. Of course. I should have known when I lost contact with you over the last month that I had been betrayed."
"Can't betray someone you were never loyal to in the first place. I only ever obeyed because I knew that I wasn't strong enough to fight back. However, Naruto-sama gave me another option and I took it. Besides, you knew the condition I set to "working" with you. You were supposed to help me find any living Uzumaki so I could bring the clan together once more and revive it. Did you really think that I wouldn't go with family when they tell me that you nearly killed them in the forest?"
"Revive the Uzumaki? Sarutobi what happened?" Tobirama demanded narrowing his eyes at his former student. Hiruzen felt himself wince as he avoided the gaze of the three reincarnated shinobi.
"Uzu was invaded at the end of the second war by a massive force made up of three major hidden villages and a handful of smaller villages in order to weaken Konoha. The Sandaime failed to send reinforcements when he received the request for aid. He justified it by saying that there weren't enough shinobi to spare without leaving the hidden leaf defenseless or weakening our presence on the front lines. Despite this, all he would have had to do was send a small group of shinobi with the sannin and that would have been more than enough to give them a fighting chance but he didn't even do that." Kakashi responded angrily.
"WHAT?!" Hashirama and Mito yelled in unison glaring at the old kage in disbelief and betrayal.
"Most of Konoha's forces weren't even told of the invasion until after it was over and the clan had suffered mass casualties. Any survivors fleeing and going into hiding even going as far as changing their names, dying their hair and forbidding the use of their bloodlines. The few we have tracked down have told us that for the most part, those with Uzumaki ancestry have completely avoided training and for the most part refused to become a shinobi to keep their identities from being discovered." Kakashi continued making the third fire shadow mentally beg him to shut up. A was staring at the old man like he was seeing a monster instead of a man.
"Granted while Kumo participated in the invasion it was under the orders of the third Raikage and he was more likely to attack you then even consider a treaty. Thankfully, A here is much better." He said smiling in response making A groan as Tobirama's eye began to twitch in irritation.
"Of course Kumo would have been involved." He said before blinking as a massive fire vortex seemed to shoot into the sky from somewhere in the village. Kakashi tilted his head and smirked at Orochimaru.
"That would be Hinata disposing of the traitor Kabuto. If she is fighting him alone then that means you brought Jugo and Kimimaro with you."
"HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THEM?" Orochimaru screamed in anger and frustration the day was only getting worse.
"Secret~" Kakashi sang giggling. "However, since their isn't any other mass destruction going on over there, then that means that Sasuke has subdued Jugo with his sharingan and Naruto is handling the Kaguya."
"You're letting a kid fight a trained Kaguya by himself?!" Hashirama yelled in shock.
"Yup. Naruto can handle it. In the event that he can't he has back-up with him already. However, I know his plan and if he manages to pull it off then Kimimaro will be switching sides shortly."
"Kimimaro is to loyal to me for that."
"I'm sure he was, until Naruto made a convincing enough argument that proved to the teen that he meant nothing to you in the first place. His loyalty was based off of his usefulness to you. All Naruto has to do is point out the very obvious problems with your actions and words. Besides all the boy needs is a purpose. He's never had one until you stepped in and he met Jugo. You do know that Jugo is Kimimaro's weakness right? Naruto has every intention of taking advantage of that, peacefully without endangering him."
"How do you know so much about me? About my forces? Who is the spy? Who betrayed me?!" At this point Orochimaru was practically foaming at the mouth with anger as he struggled to figure out how so much had become, apparently, public knowledge. While he was having a mental meltdown Kakashi carefully activated Kamui and allowed himself to be drawn by the familiar pull once more surprising both former Hokage.
"Uzumaki Hijutsu: Shi no rekuiemu: Tamashi no Kaikaku. Fuin." He whispered from behind the sannin barely placing his hand on the snake summoner's back. Despite the nearly non-existent contact, the seal quickly spread over Orochimaru who threw his head back and let out a near inhumane howl of pain. Outside of the barrier, Tayuya's body had arched as she released a shrill scream, her curse sealing activating and then seemingly drawing back into itself before flaking off all together. Kimimaro and Anko were suffering the same fate in the village and Mito found herself fascinated by the technique that he had declared a hidden clan jutsu. Before Orochimaru could recover a second seal spread and Kakashi jumped away from the man everyone in the vicinity following his lead. The second seal was one that Mito was able to recognize easily.
"The Ura Shisho fuin. Fitting, however, it will not activate unless he dies." She stated to the silver haired man who was rapidly forming hand seals.
"I know." Kakashi said gritting his teeth. This combination of jutsu and constant use of kamui was draining his reserves faster than he expected. "Shodaime-sama would you mind holding him in place with your mokuton? I would ask Mito-sama but the jutsu will travel through her chains."
"Right!" Hashirama yelped having been caught up in his own thoughts. As soon as the wood wrapped around the sannin Kakashi released the jutsu he had been building.
"Raiton: Raiju Tsuiga. Suiton: Mizu Tsuiga." As soon as he called his jutsu, a hound of both water and lightening formed both still connected to Kakashi's hand by a cord of their element. As they rushed forwards Kakashi carefully combined the two and looked right into Orochimaru's eyes.
"Combination jutsu: Ranton: Arashi Tsuiga." Despite having been dangerous on it's own, the water was charging the lightening attack and there was no doubt in any of the spectator's minds that it was a lethal combination. A theory that proved to be true as the jutsu tore straight through the Shodaime's wood release and violently removed everything above Orochimaru's collarbone while sending lethal levels of electricity through his body.
What remained of the wooden restraints managed to suppress Orochimaru's chakra long enough for the Ura Shisho fuinto activate. Unfortunately for Orochimaru who had abandoned the body he had been in to take a form that was nowhere near human, the seal sucked his true form straight back into the corpse binding it there for good and preventing him from being resurrected. However, out of caution, Kakashi quickly destroyed the remaining corpse to ensure that no one ever broke the seal. Stumbling back a few feet and covering his sharingan once more he nodded to Karin who released the barrier that she had been holding.
"Good thing he was to angry to recognize that he could have just broken that down with a minor jutsu." Karin said sweat dropping over the fact that Naruto's plan had worked flawlessly.
"Even if he did notice, you would have had more than enough time to restrain him with your chains Karin. Don't sell yourself short. You don't need nearly enough concentration that Naruto does and you can form them faster. You would have been fine. Naruto wouldn't have asked you to take this role if he wasn't certain that you could pull it off." Kakashi lightly chastised the red-head.
"True. The last of the enemy forces have either surrendered or are attempting to flee. Shino has already moved to cut them off and team ten is eliminating the rest of the Oto "nins". As ordered the casualties among the Suna nins has been kept to a minimum and most have been taken alive and relatively unharmed and re being held by T&I as we speak." Karin informed the three present kage and Kakashi who nodded.
"Good. How's Naruto?"
"Fine. All of the hostility in Kimimaro had already been neutralized prior to the destruction of all of the curse seals." Kakashi looked at the sky and sighed in relief.
"Good. Well, that means that this invasion is over then. While I am sure that you would like to get back to your rest, I would like to ask you to remain behind for a few days. One of our genin have managed to recreate your mokuton and is mostly working off of descriptions to recreate your jutsu and we could use Tobirama's assistance in dealing with the problems that are about to arise. Outside of that Sasuke wants to ask you some questions about the policies you put into place regarding the Uchiha. As for you Lady Mito, we have three Uzumaki in the village that could use some assistance in furthering their clan training and utilizing their bloodlines properly."
"I see. In that case..."

A/N: This is by far my longest chapter yet but I have finally made it out of the chunin exams! The seal that Kakashi used was designed by Naruto to forcefully reunite the fragments of Orochimaru's soul that he placed in the curse seals using the same link that allowed him to sense them. This was to prevent him from being revived and I hope I won't have to explain the rest. No the kage's will not be resurrected and will be returning to the pure world. Anyway I hope that you enjoyed and that the end didn't seem rushed as this was written over the course of three days and by the end of the chapter I just wanted to get it over with. Until next time!
