"You could take a nap in our dorm." Feed offered. "It's not nearly as gross as Ron's, trust me. And then we could stand guard so no one wakes you up."

"Hmm" I thought about it. "Sounds good to me."

Turns out, Ron didn't really have to worry that much. I was sitting in the stadium area next to the twins on the day of the next task, and it had just been explained in simple terms. The champions would have an hour to go into the lake and retrieve something, not someone. They had probably changed it up last minute after McGonagall witnessed Ron's breakdown.

"Who do you think will come out first?" I asked the boys, staring at the still lake.

"Probably Cedric." They both answered, causing me to laugh.

"Well, as long as everyone is ok. I hope Harry figured out how to breathe underwater."

"Oh, there's a simple charm for that." George said.

"Yeah, it just pops a bubble of air around your head and presto! You can breathe under water."

I paused and turned to look at them. "Did you tell Harry that?"

"No." They chorused.

I groaned. "Guys! He probably never figured that out! We're still only fourth years!" I reminded them, smacking Fred- who was closest- upside the back of the head. "I can't believe you two. You best hope he figured it out or there'll be trouble." I warned. "Speaking of trouble... where the hell are Ron and Hermione?"

George sniggered. "Maybe they're snogging in some broom cupboard."

I snorted. "Doubtful. But if they don't hurry up, they'll miss some of the task." I frowned. "... What would they miss? Are we seriously just going to sit here for an hour and stare at a lake?"

Fred squinted against the sun and shrugged. "I guess so. Wanna go find a broom cupboard?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

I gave him an unamused look and he quickly shut up.

The task started, causing everyone to fall silent as we watched the champions dive into the water one by one. When it was Harry's turn, he shoved something in his mouth before practically falling off the dock.

We watched with baited breath as nothing happened, and then he flipped back up before diving under.

"Did he...?"

"Yes."

"... Alright."

Whatever Harry had eaten had given him flippers and most likely some form of gills.

"Think it was Gillyweed?" George asked.

Fred hummed. "Maybe? It's most likely, but where would he get it from?"

George shrugged and we fell silent again, watching the water.

The boys had been wrong- Cedric wasn't the first out of the water. Fleur popped up, spluttering and struggling to get to the dock leading to the makeshift stadium area.

People rushed down and helped her up, wrapping towels around her. She cast a worried glance to the water, and that was that.

It was very quiet and still for almost the rest of the hour, when Cedric came up finally. But he wasn't alone.

"Oh my God!" I cried, jumping up. "They're crazy!"

Cedric helped Cho swim over to the dock and waited till she was up before following after her.

"I can't believe they actually put people down there." George said.

"Who do they think they are? What if something went wrong?! The champions signed up for this, not the students!" I tried to step past Fred, looking around for Dumbledore. "I have words!"

"Rita, relax." Feed said, grabbing my arm and making me sit back down next to him. "Dumbledore and the teachers know what they're doing, and I'm sure they wouldn't put students under there if it wasn't completely safe. I mean, look at Cho! She's fine!"

"I don't think- SON OF A-!" Fred and George lunged to cover my mouth as a string of curses spewed out.

"Is that Hermione?"

"I hope Dumbledore knows he's going to die soon."

George hummed sadly and nodded. "Rita is sure to have his head on a plate soon."

I pulled Fred after me as I made my way to Hermione. George was somewhere behind his twin, going much slower.

"Hermione!" I cried, rushing forward and throwing my arms around her.

"Rita!"

"Are you alright? I can't believe Dumbledore! This was- it was- IrresponsibleI cried.

Hermione nodded. "Definitely. But no, I'm alright. A little cold and wet, but okay." She cast a glance at Victor and her cheeks turned a bit darker. "I'm okay.l

I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?"

She nodded, looking down at her feet. "Had Harry come up yet?"

"Not yet." I said, casting a worried glance out over the lake. The hour was up now, and Harry still wasn't here. I looked over at Fleur, who was crying and talking rapidly with a group of her friends. I wondered briefly who her person to retrieve had been, but was startled out of said thoughts when there was a large splash.

Ron had surfaced, as well as a small blonde girl. He looked around, disoriented, before helping the young girl to the dock. Fleur rushed forward, pulling up the girl and hugging her close.

"Ron!" I yelled, helping him up. "Where's Harry?"

"He's-" He took a couple deep breaths, panting as Fred handed him a towel. "He's still under, I guess."

"What?!" I left Ron's side as was replaced with a happy Fleur as I walked to the edge of the dock, looking for Harry.

Who flipped out of the water and onto the dock not much later, soaking me in water.

I gasped, looking at him. "Bloody hell, Harry!" I helped him up, leading him towards everyone else where he claimed his own towel.

We all listened to Dumbledore give the results of the challenge, and what little information about the next task he wanted to release.

"Come on," I said, herding my group back towards Hogwarts. "Let's get some hot chocolate or something." I put my hand on Harry's shoulder, pulling him closer. "Nice job, Harry."

"Thanks, Rita."
