"Ed, I'm nervous…" Ginger shivered and clung tightly to her friend's shoulder as she gazed up at the large, two-story house that stood in front of them.

Edward smiled and reached up to pet Ginger's head. "Don't be. Yuki's very friendly - she'll love you." He quickly stepped up onto the porch and went to knock on the door.

Before his fist could come in contact with the wood, the door flung open and a snow leopard bolted out, squealing excitedly. "Ed!" Yuki wrapped her furry arms around the boy and lifted him up into a tight embrace. She spun him around a few times, her long violet hair swishing around behind her back.

Ginger squeaked and clung tightly to the collar of Edward's jacket until Yuki finally set him back down on his feet.

"Hey buddy!" Yuki purred happily as she wagged her thick tail. "I missed you. You haven't come by to visit me lately!"

Feeling dizzy from being spun around, Edward shook his head a bit to steady himself. "I missed you too, Yuki." He chuckled softly and smiled up at her. He quickly reached up and felt around on his shoulder to make sure Ginger hadn't fallen off.

Although she was shaken up, Ginger rubbed her head against his finger to let him know she was alright.

"Oh? Who's this little one?" Yuki spotted the tiny ocelot immediately and leaned forward to get a closer look.

Ginger shrunk back a bit under Yuki's bright, friendly gaze. She smiled shyly up at the snow leopard and timidly waved her paw. "H-Hello…" She stammered.

"Hi there! I'm Yuki Nakahara - what's your name?"

"M-My name's Ginger Farrel…"

"Ooo, what a pretty name! It's very nice to meet you, Ginger!" Yuki exclaimed, holding her finger out for Ginger to shake.

"It's nice to meet you too, Yuki." Ginger smiled and shook the tip of Yuki's fluffy finger, careful to avoid the long black claw attached to it.

"Don't worry, I keep my claws dull so I don't scratch anyone." Yuki winked and carefully pulled her paw away when she saw the look on Ginger's face. "So tell me Ginger, how'd you happen to meet this goofball?" She asked, using her thumb to point at Edward.

"Hey!" Edward rolled his eyes and playfully punched Yuki on the shoulder. "We met at a restaurant, actually."

Yuki's amethyst eyes widened in mock surprise. "Figures it would involve food." She snickered and nudged him with her elbow.

"Yeah…" Edward chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.

Ginger shivered and snuggled up to her friend's neck. "Ed, I'm cold…" She whispered.

"Oh - c'mon inside, guys! The food's almost ready!" Yuki took Edward by the hand and led him into the house.

Ginger poked her head out from under Edward's collar and glanced around the room. There was a carpeted staircase framed by elegant wooden banisters leading up to the second floor in front of them, with an ornate throw rug on the floor below. "Wow…" The little ocelot's eyes slowly widened as she looked up at the ceiling. Hanging directly above them was a large, golden chandelier illuminating the entire foyer. "Your house is beautiful, Yuki!"

Yuki grinned, flicking her long tail happily. "Aw, thanks Ginger!" She beamed. "Wait till you see the rest of it! Maybe Ed will take you upstairs later so you can see my library."

Ginger's tiny mouth fell open. "You have your own library?"

Yuki nodded. "Yeah! It has shelves of books and lots of comfy chairs!"

"I can't wait to see it!" Ginger exclaimed.

Edward smiled and reached up to pet her. "I'll take you up to see it after dinner."
"Okay!" Ginger exclaimed, twitching her ears up in excitement. I wonder what kinds of books she has in her collection… Maybe she has a few mystery books! She opened her mouth to ask, but quickly closed it again when a tall figure walked in from the nearby living room. She squeaked and ducked back down beneath the collar of her friend's jacket.

"Hey Ed, you made it! Happy Thanksgiving!" The figure - a prairie falcon with snowy white feathers - walked up to the boy and playfully smacked him on the shoulder. "So how's it goin'?" He asked, his voice carrying a thick New York accent.

"I've been pretty good, thanks for asking." Edward smiled up at the falcon. "How have you been, Victor?"

"I've been great!" Victor replied, his blue eyes sparkling with excitement. "Denali and I have been getting together more often, and I got promoted to head mechanic at the airport!"

"That's great!" Edward grinned. "How long have you and Denali been dating?"

Victor opened his beak to reply, when he was interrupted by a voice calling from the kitchen.

"Yuki dear, your green bean casserole is trying to burn!"

Edward recognized the voice immediately - it belonged to Phoenix, a kind owl with a warm heart.

"Oh no!" Yuki's tail puffed out in alarm as she ran down the hall and into the kitchen.
Victor watched her go before he turned back to Edward. "Let's go sit down. Dinner should be ready soon."

"Alright." Edward followed Victor into the dining room, reaching up to hold Ginger against his shoulder to keep her from falling off. He had considered introducing her to Victor, but decided against it for fear of overwhelming the little ocelot.

Ginger gave a soft purr as she curled up beneath her friend's jacket.

A petite fox with light blue fur and long, dark hair looked up and smiled when they walked in. "Hello, Edward!" She beamed.

"Hey Denali." Edward smiled up at her. He was just about to take a seat next to the vixen when another fox stepped up and snatched the heavy oak chair away from him with remarkable force. Edward looked up to see a taller vixen, this one with brown fur and bright red hair, towering over him.

"I'll be sitting next to my sister." Denali's fraternal twin, Jessie, muttered as she sat down at the table.

A buff male fox shuffled into the room after her, shooting Edward a disapproving glare before he took his place next to Jessie. He had dark brown fur with white markings and an intimidating buzz cut.

Oscar Edward returned the glare before he wandered over to the opposite side of the table. Too many foxes here… He thought as he pulled out a chair and sat down.
Denali gently nudged her sister's shoulder. "Aren't you going to say hi to Edward?" She asked.

Jessie glanced up at the boy, her lips curling up to form a menacing snarl. "Hello, Shrimp." She muttered.

"How many times do I have to I have to tell you..." Edward slowly stood up and glared across the table at Jessie. "DON'T CALL ME THAT!" He roared, slamming his hands down on the table.

"What's the matter, pipsqueak?" Oscar chimed in.

Edward flinched and leaned over the table, aiming to swat at the troublesome couple with his right auto-mail hand. A shrill scream brought him to his senses, but it was far too late when he remembered Ginger.

Ginger screamed again as she slipped off Edward's shoulder and tumbled through the air. She saw the boy lash out in an attempt to catch her in his hand, but he wasn't fast enough to grab her. The ocelot gave a tiny squeak when she landed paws-first in a large basket of warm biscuits.

"Ginger!" Edward reached into the basket, carefully pulled the girl out and held her up to his face. "Are you alright?" He asked, golden eyes filled with concern.

"I-I'm okay!" Ginger whispered, wrapping her little arms around her friend's finger.

"I'm so sorry..." Edward murmured, fighting the urge to hold her against his chest.

"It's alright - "

"Edward...?"

Edward quickly glanced up when he heard Denali's voice, looking like he had been caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar. He fidgeted anxiously when he realized everyone else was staring at him in disbelief.

"Who's that?" Victor, who had finally taken his seat on the other side of Denali, nodded at the tiny creature in Edward's hand.

"Oh - " Edward held Ginger up for everyone to see. "This is my new friend Ginger."

Denali and Victor leaned forward to get a better look at her, while Oscar and Jessie appeared unamused by the newcomer.

Denali smiled warmly. "Aww, hello there Ginger!"

"Nice to meet you, Ginger!" Victor beamed.

"H-Hi…" Ginger gave the couple a shy smile before she tried to hide herself behind Edward's thumb.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Denali, and this is Victor." Denali placed her paw on Victor's shoulder before she turned to her twin. "And this is my sister Jessie and her boyfriend Oscar."

Oscar looked up at Edward instead, completely disregarding the ocelot in his hand. "Hey, shortie, looks like you finally found someone who's smaller than you!" He teased. "Never thought I'd see the day."

"Haha...very funny." Edward chuckled dryly. If Ginger wasn't in my hand right now, I'd be giving you the finger. He thought, glaring at Oscar as if looks could kill.

Ginger whined softly as she tightened her grip on his thumb. "Ed…" She whispered.

"Yes, Ginger?" Edward's eyes softened as he looked down at the girl and gave her a reassuring smile.

Ginger purred and looked up at him, her eyes wide and hopeful. She slowly twisted her tail around behind her in what she hoped was an enticing gesture and pointed down at his stomach.

Oh no… Edward shook his head and leaned in to whisper to her. "I can't swallow you now, not with everyone around."

Ginger frowned, letting her tail sag and her ears droop in disappointment.

Edward furrowed his brow and bit his lip. He couldn't bear the thought of letting the poor little girl down. That, and he was also feeling quite hungry and Ginger was looking awfully tasty. "I'll do it later, okay? Promise." He whispered as he lifted her up to his shoulder.

"Really?" Ginger quickly hopped onto his shoulder, brightening up at his offer. "Thanks, Ed!" She purred as she burrowed under his jacket. "I can't wait to go in your tummy again." She murmured.

Edward blushed, his stomach growling quietly at the thought. There's that empty feeling again, that irresistible urge to swallow her whole and feel her moving around inside me... His mouth immediately watered up, and a trail of drool oozed out from the corner of his mouth.

"Is Ginger alright? We didn't scare her, did we?" Denali asked, curtly interrupting the boy's thoughts before he could get carried away.

"Oh, don't worry, she's fine." Edward looked up and wiped his mouth on the back of his sleeve. He was thankful for the distraction, as he felt he could gobble Ginger up at any moment. "She's just a little shy."

"Alright." Denali smiled. "Where did you two meet?"

"We met at a restaurant down the street from my apartment. I accidentally ate her - "

"You what?"

Did I say that out loud?! Edward's eyes widened. "Uh...fate! It was fate that I met her." He corrected, chuckling nervously.

Victor gave him a strange look. "I see..."

"Yeah..." Edward turned to try and get a look into the kitchen. "I wonder if dinner's ready yet - ?" He asked in attempt to change the subject.

As if on cue, Yuki walked out of the kitchen with a large plate of turkey in her paws, closely followed by Phoenix the owl. "Chow time!" The snow leopard called out cheerfully.

"Alright! I'm starving!" Edward exclaimed, licking his lips.

Phoenix chuckled as she set a platter of green bean casserole on the table in front of him.

Ginger peered over the collar of Edward's jacket and stared up at the kindly old eagle owl. Her feathers were decorated with bright starburst patterns of red, orange, and golden yellow. Her most distinguishing feature was her left eye. It was milky white and sightless compared to her right, which was a vibrant emerald green. "How did she go blind in that eye?" Ginger whispered to Edward.

Phoenix's ear tufts twitched when she heard Ginger's soft voice. She swiftly tilted her head down and locked her gaze on the little ocelot.

Ginger froze under the owls watchful gaze, whimpering quietly as she began to shake with fear.

Upon seeing the startled look on the girl's face, Phoenix softened her gaze and smiled. "Hon, I lost my vision in this eye during a fight." She sighed and touched a feathered finger to the scar running down her forehead to her left cheek. "It's from a dark time in my past, and I prefer not to talk about it."

Ginger frowned. "O-Oh, I'm sorry, Miss…"

"It's quite alright, dearie; you were only curious. It's good to ask questions." The owl smiled. "Call me Phoenix." She told the girl. "You must be Ginger. I overheard Edward introducing you from the kitchen."

Ginger nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Phoenix!"

"The pleasure's all mine, sweetie." Phoenix grinned, winking at the ocelot. "Well, I'd better go help Yuki carry in the rest of the food."

"Okay! I can't wait to try it all!"

Phoenix smiled, dipping into a small bow before she headed back into the kitchen with Yuki trailing behind.

As soon as all the food was on the table, Yuki and Phoenix sat down on either side of Edward.

"Okay, dig in everyone!" Yuki exclaimed.

"You don't have to tellme twice!" Edward exclaimed, reaching for the nearest plate of food. He piled a generous helping of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, casserole, buttered rolls, and corn onto his plate - all before anyone had gotten their own share of turkey.

Edward scarfed down his first plate of food in a matter of minutes and quickly reached for seconds. Every once in a while, he tore off a tiny piece of bread or turkey and held it up for Ginger. The girl would take the crumb in her tiny paws and nibble on it for a while until the next piece was offered. When Edward was finished with his meal, he helped himself to some dessert.

Edward let out a content burp as he leaned back and patted his full stomach. "Mmm, that was delicious, Yuki…" He murmured.

Yuki chuckled and playfully shook her head as she looked up at him. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, buddy!"

"I sure did!" Edward grinned.

"Ed?" Ginger gently tugged on the collar of her friend's jacket. "Can we go upstairs to see Yuki's library now, please?"

"Of course! If I can get up and walk around yet." Edward chuckled as he rubbed at his belly. He stood up and stretched a bit. "Okay, let's go."

"Have fun you two." Yuki smiled. "If you find any books you like, you're welcome to borrow them."

"Alright, thanks Yuki." He turned to the snow leopard and smiled. "Did you get any new books on alchemy by chance?"

"Yes, I bought a couple new volumes just for you, buddy!"

"Awesome! I'll go check 'em out." Edward walked out of the room and headed into the foyer. He slowly walked up the stairs, reaching up to hold Ginger to his shoulder to keep her from falling off. At the top of the steps was a large open space dedicated to Yuki's elegant, extensive library.

"Whoa!" Ginger gasped, her mismatched eyes widening as she gazed around the room. Shelves laden with books of all shapes, sizes, and colors lined the walls, with one large window providing enough natural light from which to read by. "Do you think Yuki has any mystery books in her collection?"

"She has plenty of those. I'll show you." Edward carefully took Ginger off his shoulder and carried her over to a shelf that held Yuki's collection of ghost stories, true crime books, and mystery novels. "Would you like to borrow one?" He held her up to the uppermost shelves, where a majority of the mystery books resided.

"Yes, I'd love to!" Ginger climbed onto the shelf and walked along each row, glancing over each book until she finally pointed to a slim black and red volume on the row closest to the ceiling. She stared back down at Edward with a hopeful look on her furry face.

Edward followed her gaze. Luckily, it seemed to be within his reach. "That one? Alright." He stood up on his tip toes and reached for the book with his free hand, grunting quietly when the stretch put strain on his stomach. "Got it!" He proudly held it up in front of him.

"Yay!" Ginger smiled as she looked up at the book's worn cloth cover. "Thanks, Ed!"

"You're welcome, Ginger." Edward gave her a smile as he walked into the center of the room. He set Ginger down next her book on a nearby coffee table before he wandered over to another shelf, this one filled with scientific and technological publications. He scanned the packed rows until he found several unfamiliar tomes, pulling them out one by one.
Edward walked over to Ginger and sat down in one of the comfortable chairs arranged around the coffee table. "Want to read together?" He asked, glancing down at his little friend.

Ginger twitched her tail anxiously as she gazed back up at him. "Actually, I was hoping you could swallow me now." She began. "You promised…"

"You're right, I did." Edward's eyes lit up as he set his books down and reached for her. "You can be my tasty little dessert."

Ginger giggled and climbed up into his hand. "You already had dessert, Ed! You ate two slices of Yuki's homemade pumpkin pie!"

Edward chuckled as he brought her up to his face. "Alright, you'll be my after dinner treat, then."

"Okay! Thank you so much, Ed!" Ginger beamed.

"You're welcome, Gingersnap." Edward gave her a wink. "Be careful in my tummy though, okay? There's a lot of food in it and I wouldn't want you to get trapped underneath anything…"

"Got it! I'll be extra careful."

"Thank you." Edward murmured before tilted his head back and opened his mouth wide, dangling the ocelot above it for a moment.

Ginger purred as she stared down into his maw, watching as strings of drool oozed out of his mouth and dripped down his chin.

Edward carefully placed her on top of his tongue and gently closed his mouth over her. "Mmm…"

Ginger smiled warmly as she snuggled the spongy surface of his tongue, spreading her delectably sweet and spicy flavor around inside the boy's mouth.

Edward ran his tongue through her fur as thick saliva pooled around her. When she was all slicked up, he closed his eyes and swallowed deeply, sending her down into his throat.
Ginger slowly slipped down his gullet, squeaking softly when she landed in a large pile of chewed-up food in his stomach.

Edward gave a soft sigh as he leaned back and rubbed his tummy. Boy, am I full. He thought. "So, what's it like in my belly?" He wondered aloud.

"Well, itis a little cramped in here with all the food, but I don't mind!" Ginger felt her way through the mass of food until she found a fleshy wall to cuddle up against. "It's nice and warm in here, which is a relief from how cold it was outside." She purred as she rubbed her head up against the boy's tummy.

Edward smiled as he gazed down at his stomach."I'm glad to hear that..." He gasped, his eyes widening as an angry red blush stretched across his cheeks.

Ginger tilted her head to the side quizzically when the wall beneath her paws flushed dark red. "What's the matter?" She asked.

"N-Nothing...!" Even though he knew no one else was around to see, Edward wrapped his arms around his stomach on impulse. As a result of stuffing himself with enough food to satisfy at least three people, his tummy had become quite round. It wasn't terribly large, yet it was noticeable on his wiry frame. How embarrassing... I'm surprised Ginger didn't notice...or anyone else, for that matter. He thought.

"Don't worry, Ed, you can tell me." Ginger coaxed gently.

"It's nothing, really, Ginger. End of discussion."

"Come on, you're just being stubborn. No matter what it is, you know you can trust me to keep a secret, right? I mean, who else would I tell?"

Edward sighed. "Oh, alright. I guess I'll tell you." He glanced down at his stomach. "Apparently I ate so much at dinner that my belly's all round and puffy... Its never really happened to me before." He admitted.

"Aww,that's what you're upset about?" Ginger giggled and kneaded her paws into the wall of his stomach. "That's nothing to be ashamed of - it's natural, you know."

"It's embarrassing..." Edward mumbled bitterly. "Good thing Oscar and Jessie aren't up here to see - they'd tease me about it for sure. Then they'd run off to tell Yuki and the others..."

"Don't worry about them, Ed. I'm sure Yuki and everyone else would think you look cute like I do!"

He blushed. "You think it's cute?"

"Yes, of course! I bet your tummy's all soft and warm, too!"

Edward chuckled and patted his belly. "It is..."

Ginger purred as she stroked his tummy lovingly. "See? It's not so bad, right?"

"Yeah, I suppose not." Edward leaned back, yawning softly when he felt Ginger caressing his full stomach from within.

Ginger hummed as she gently rubbed his wall. "Tired?"

"Yeah. I always get sleepy after eating a big meal."

Ginger giggled. "Let's take a quick nap so you can sleep it off."

"Sounds good to me." He stretched out in his chair and rested his hand on top of his slightly rounded stomach.

When Edward woke up about an hour later, his rounded belly was returning to normal size. After asking Ginger for permission, he headed back downstairs to chat with Yuki and her friends in the living room.

"We'd better get going - it's getting dark out." Edward stood up and grabbed the stack of books he planned on borrowing from Yuki's library for himself and Ginger. He gave a stretch before he turned and headed toward the foyer.

"Oh, goodbye Edward! Bye Ginger!" Denali called.

Victor looked up and waved to the boy. "See ya later, guys."

"Bye bye, dearies." Phoenix chimed in.

"Goodbye!" Ginger called, though she knew they probably weren't able to hear her.

"Bye guys." Edward waved to them over his shoulder before disappearing into the other room.

"Wait a minute!" Yuki leaped off the couch and hurried over to the front door. "Ed, I don't want you walking home in the dark - it isn't safe. Why don't you let me drive you to your apartment?"

Edward turned to her and smiled, unable to mask the look of relief on his face. "That would be great, thanks Yuki."

"Anytime!" Yuki grabbed her car keys and led her friend outside and into the garage. "I see you got some books there!" She smiled as she unlocked her car, a mid size silver coupe, and held the door open for him. "I know you read fast, but feel free to keep them as long as you like."

"Thanks! I can't wait to read them." Edward carefully slid into the passenger seat with his books, closing the door behind him.

Yuki jogged over to the opposite side of the car and plopped down in the driver's seat. She stuck her key in the ignition, turning to face him as the engine hummed to life. "Hey buddy, I didn't get a chance to say so earlier, but have you been gaining some weight recently? You're looking good!"

Edward grinned sheepishly and gently rubbed his belly. "Oh, uh, yeah I guess I have…"

"That's great! Remember what doctor Congo told us back in August? She wanted you to put on at least six pounds!"

"Yeah yeah, I remember. Just two more pounds and I'll be up to my average weight again."

"Oh good! We were really worried about you for a while there, Ed. You were getting so thin."

"Yeah, I know…" Edward smiled shyly, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked away. "Well, we'd better get going."

"Alright." Yuki gave him a smile before she put the car in gear and started down the driveway.

Is it really that noticeable that I've been gaining my weight back? I didn't realize I'd put thatmuch on already. Edward thought. With a sigh, he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around his warm belly. He smiled when he felt Ginger snuggling him from inside. Within seconds, the boy fell asleep before Yuki had even gotten to the next street.

Yuki gave Edward's shoulder a poke as she drove into the parking lot of his apartment complex. "Wake up, buddy, we're here!" She cheerfully exclaimed.

"I'm awake." Edward muttered groggily as he quickly sat up and looked around.

Yuki chuckled and patted the boy's shoulder. "Go on inside and get some rest, okay?" She grinned as she unlocked the car doors. "And don't forget to keep eating."

Edward chuckled. "You don't have to worry about that. Ginger's been making sure I get enough to eat during meals."

"Aw, that's very sweet of her! It sounds like you two look after each other." Yuki smiled. "Where is Ginger anyway? I'd like to say goodbye to her."

Edward's eyes widened as his cheeks flushed bright red. "O-Oh! She's...she's in my pocket right now and she, er, fell asleep in there." He lied. "I wouldn't want to wake her up."

"That's alright! Tell her I said goodbye when she wakes up."

"Okay, I will." Edward breathed an inward sigh of relief as he reached for the door handle. "See ya later, Yuki."

Bye, Yuki! It was nice to meet you! Ginger thought.

"Bye, Ed!" Yuki watched as her friend opened the door and stepped out of the car. "Hey, you should come visit me sometime before Christmas! Maybe you can come over and help me bake cookies like we did last year!"

"That would be fun. I'll call you soon, alright?" Edward gave her a smile before he shut the door and hurried over to his apartment building and headed upstairs to the second floor.

Yuki waited until the boy was inside his own apartment before she backed out of the parking lot and headed back home.

"How's it going in there, Gingersnap?" Edward asked, rubbing his tummy gently as he walked over to his couch.

"Great!" Was Ginger's muffled reply. "That was a close one..."

Edward nodded. "I don't think I'm ready to tell anyone about this yet, even if it's Yuki."

"I know how you feel." Ginger reached out to rub the wall of Edward's stomach.

"Yeah..." Edward blinked sleepily and gave his belly a soft pat. "So, did you have a nice time?"

"Yes, I did! Denali, Victor, Phoenix, and Yuki were very nice, and her house was beautiful!" Ginger beamed. "I thought Oscar and Jessie were kinda mean, but other than that, I had a great time!"

"Good. I'm happy to hear that." Edward smiled and looked down. "Are you ready for bed?"

"Mm-hmm!" Ginger nodded. "Wait, does that mean I have to get out?"

"Yes, but don't worry," He grinned. "I have a feeling you'll get to go back in there very soon."

"Really? Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ed!" Ginger squeaked happily and cuddled his belly.

"You're welcome, Gingersnap. Now, let's go to bed." Edward slowly laid down on the couch, waiting patiently for Ginger to climb back up into his mouth.

"Okay!" Ginger crawled up toward the entrance to the boy's throat.

As soon as Ginger was out of his stomach, Edward gave her a quick bath, and they both changed into their pajamas.

"Hey Ed, c-can I sleep in your bed again, please?" Ginger asked hopefully. "I don't want to be lonely..."

"Of course you can, Ginger." Edward carried her over to his bed and placed her on top of the fluffy pillow next to his own.

"Thank you!" Ginger scooted as close to Edward as she could without falling off the pillow and curled up into a tight ball.

Edward turned off the lights and laid down on his side, facing the little ocelot. "Good night, Gingersnap."

"Good night, Ed!"
