I think originally Ed couldn't use alchemy in this world but now he can because it fits the plot very well.
Soft vore, male pred, tiny female furry prey.
If you don't like vore, do yourself a favor and just don't read it.

"Okay, Gingersnap, what looks good to you?" Edward gazed up at the ocelot on his shoulder and smiled.

"Well, ice cream sounds good, but cinnamon pretzels are a perfect mall snack...oh, and there's that Chinese place in the food court!"

Edward's mouth watered. "Hmm, I think I'll get pretzels, ice cream, and Chinese food… You want anything, Ginger?"

"Could you get me some ice cream, please? I only want a little nibble."

"Of course!" Edward made a beeline for the ice cream store and quickly got in line.

"Lemme guess, strawberry ice cream for you?"

"How did you know?" Ginger snickered.

"I know what you like." Edward grinned and tickled under Ginger's chin. He laughed and petted her head when she playfully batted at his fingers. "Silly kitty."

At the cash register, Edward ordered 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream in a cone and a small cup of strawberry ice cream for Ginger. With ice cream in tow, he walked out of the shop and found a bench nearby and sat down. Between large bites of his vanilla ice cream, Edward occasionally held a spoonful of strawberry ice cream up to his shoulder for Ginger to lick.

Ginger happily lapped up a few bites of the sweet treat until she gently pushed the offered spoon away. "Ed, will you finish my ice cream for me, please?"

"I would love to, Gingersnap." Edward looked up at the ocelot on his shoulder and winked. He scarfed down the rest of his ice cream before he polished off Ginger's portion as well.

"Ahh," He leaned back and a bit. "I think I need to eat something warm after that cold ice cream."

"You should go get some pretzels next!" Ginger wiggled in excitement. "And then, when your tummy's all nice and warm and full, you can…-"

"I'll swallow you down so you can take a nice cat nap in my belly~" Edward growled playfully and nuzzled his cheek against her, laughing when she happily squeaked at him. He adjusted her on his shoulder before he got up and walked down the hallway with his hands in his pockets.

Edward grunted when someone roughly bumped into his shoulder the second he entered the crowd. "Hey, watch it - !" He spun around to lash out at the person, but froze in panic when he felt Ginger slip from his shoulder.

Ginger dug her claws into Edward's shoulder briefly before she tumbled down his arm and plummeted toward the ground.

"Ginger!" Edward brought his palms together and swiftly slapped the floor below, creating a column of concrete that broke Ginger's fall in midair. The tall, hastily crafted pole created an unstable barrier that crumbled when a passerby collided with the obstacle head first. Before Edward could reach her, Ginger was thrown from the column and into a sea of people walking in the opposite direction.

Ginger bounced off the belly of a rather chubby lion and sailed into the air amidst the traffic. She arced through the air and fell straight into a moving baby stroller.

"Ginger? GINGER?!" Edward's head bobbed as he tried to track Ginger's path with his eyes, but he soon lost sight of her in the throng.

"Goo?"

Ginger sat up and rubbed her head as a shadow fell over her. A drooling tiger cub in green footie pajamas was reaching for the little ocelot with clumsy striped paws, her forest green eyes wide and curious.

"Nooo!" Ginger leaped to her feet and tumbled backwards as the tiger's paw swiped over her head. The ocelot screamed as she teetered over the edge of the stroller and plunged toward the ground once more. She fell with a squeak into a large paper shopping bag and her world became a blanket of white.

"Ed! Edward, help me!" Ginger yelled. Tissue paper rustled around her as she scrambled to the wall of the bag. She wobbled and fell on her back when the bag lurched forward.

In a panic, Ginger dug her claws into the bottom of the bag and tore a hole in the paper. She nibbled at the paper until she had created a large enough hole and wriggled out of her prison. When she hit the floor, Ginger scrambled to her feet and ran towards a store, dodging paws and strollers and shopping bags along the way.

She flattened herself against the front wall of a boutique and stood there panting heavily with eyes wide in terror. Her lip trembled, but no sound came from her mouth for she was too frightened to call out to her friend.

For a while, snippets of conversations floated past her until she picked up the sound of angry voices and her round ears swiveled in their direction.

"Hey, stop pushing me, squirt!"

"WHO'RE YOU CALLIN' A SQUIRT?!"

Ginger looked up in time to see Edward push past a family of bears and slip from the crowd of shoppers.

"Ginger, there you are!" Edward sprinted to the wall of the boutique, slid down on his hands and knees, and reached out for the cowering ocelot. "I was so worried, I - " He grimaced when Ginger flinched and ducked away from his hand. "Gingersnap, it's just me...you're safe now, okay? You don't have to be afraid…" He carefully lowered his hand to the floor and opened his palm for her.

Ginger pushed away from the wall and collided with Edward's finger, clinging to it for dear life. Her heart raced and her breath came in ragged bursts.

"I've got you, little one." Edward carefully scooped her up in his palms and held her close to his face. "Are you hurt?" He asked.

Ginger quickly shook her head. Her muscles relaxed when he began to stroke her back with his fingertip, but she was too weak to purr or even lift her tail in excitement.

"Alright, that's it…" Edward murmured softly. "Into my tummy you go," When he opened his mouth, Ginger crawled right inside and curled up on top of his tongue. Atta girl… He smiled faintly as he tilted his head back and swallowed her down with a deep gulp.

He then stood up and patted his belly when he felt the ocelot plop down inside. "There you go, nice and safe." His tummy gurgled loudly and he let out a burp.

The sounds of Edward's stomach growling seemed to snap Ginger out of a daze. She breathed a long sigh of relief and closed her eyes as she leaned against the soft wall next to her. She yawned until her eyes watered before she settled into the pink flesh around her, exhausted from the excursion.

Edward grinned when he felt tiny paws kneading the inside of his tummy. "I'm glad you're okay, Gingersnap." He murmured, holding his left hand protectively over his stomach as he walked.

"I almost became a pacifier for a tiger cub...it was a really close call!" Ginger giggled, feeling slightly giddy with relief. "Thanks for saving me again, Ed. As always."

"Of course, Ginger. I love you, and I'll do anything for you. Especially if that means keeping you safe no matter what happens." Edward smiled softly.

Ginger gave a weak purr and hugged his stomach. They fell silent for a while as Edward walked and Ginger rubbed his belly.

"So, Ed…"

"Yes, Ginger?"

"Are you still getting pretzels? A-and Chinese food?"

"And getting my tummy full so you can take a nice nap? You bet I am~ Let's go."
