"Caleb and Mia are stronger now," Caius said. "They are five months old, but they look like ten years old."
"That was the venom they took from their mothers," Carlisle said. "It speeded the growth of their bodies and helped them to deal with it healthily."
"I don't think that Isabella will think the same thing," I said nodding to my wife who was talking with my son. "He is getting difficult sometimes."
"A normal phase of childhood," Marcus said.
"I know, but she gets tired of having to deal with his tantrums."
"Do we have any news from our allies?" Caius asked.
"Not really, I heard from the Irish coven that Edward was seen in the UK, but he did not approach them," Jasper said, looking at his phone. "I think he is looking for allies between the nomads."
"How can we force him to act?" Marcus asked annoyed.
"We need something that would attract him. Some time ago, I would suggest presenting him with a vulnerable Bella, but now, I'm not sure if this could work." Jasper said.
"What could bother him enough to make something stupid?" Carlisle asked frowning.
"He knows about my marriage, the deal with the Romanians, our babies, but he did not react to any of this," I said looking at our board with all the information we had about him.
"He needs to feel that he would win easily, that we have a weak point in our castle. What this could be?" Stephan wondered.
" I believe I could have a good idea," Bella said looking at the window.
"Where is Caleb?"
"He is sleeping in his room, Esme is taking care of him," Bella said, caressing the wood. "I think that we could organize a trip to Romania, to visit our dear friends and to seal the marriage contract between our babies." She said, looking at me, "Our babies are the future of our world, the promise that our race will live on. This will be too tempting for Edward. In his head, he will destroy us."
"This is too dangerous," Vladimir said.
"The kids will never be at the party. We need a protected place to let them with a powerful guard. At the party, he will find us and our allies." Bella said.
"If the battle will be in our castle, we could hide them in the heart of our Throne room. Nobody, except us, can enter this place," Stephan said. "The heart is under the room, the babies could be there with Esme and Alice, I could teach them how to use the secret door to escape if we are losing the battle."
"Even if I don't want to think about that possibility, it is good to know, that they could protect them if we are not able to do it," I said, and I took Bella in my arms.
"I will start working on this plan, just give me a couple of days to have everything ready," Jasper said leaving the room.
Bella seems lost in her thoughts while I talked with my brothers. She stiffened and sat on a chair looking for a book to read. She was trying to distract herself while we waited for a plan.
"Love, are you ok?"
"I'm scared for our baby's life. What will happen to him if we are not able to stop Edward?"
"We will stop the foul. Even if he gets new allies, they are not going to have the cohesion that we get by training together."
"What else we could prevent more deaths?"
"Caius thought that we could offer an amnesty for the repentant newborns."
"Do you believe that some of them would want to start over?"
"We could try and see what will happen. Now, do not overthink this, we need to see Jasper's plan to start preparing everything."
The following days, we decided to train and prepare everything for the war. Bella and Leonor were strong, and each of them has a gift. Leonor was fast and quick to see vulnerabilities. Bella was s mental and physical shield, so she would be able to protect the place around the heart.

The last few months were endless, as we searched for new allies, I devoted myself to creating new vampires. Although they were not easy to control, what I could rescue from the mind of the southerner helped me so that they did not kill each other.
"Sir," An agent said bowing.
"What do you need?"
"My contact told me that the Volturi are travelling to Romania."
"What happened?"
"The Volturi are officially engaging their heir to the heiress of the Romanian Throne."
"They are six months old?"
"I guess the old traditions never change."
"This could be the chance we were waiting for." I said, smirking.
"What should I do, My Lord?" He asked.
"Tell the leaders that we are moving in two days. I want them ready by tomorrow night." I said, closing my book.
"Yes, Sir."
I saw him walking back, and I could hear him imaging how he would revenge his coven. Stupid boy, I killed his family and made everyone believe that the Volturi had been the culprits.
