'Thoughts'
(Inside a dream)
"Daddy?!" Annabelle yelled as she ran over to him.
"Annabelle?!" The man was shocked to see his recently deceased daughter.
"Hi daddy." She hugged him.
"I'm sorry sweetie."
"It's okay. Don't feel guilty over my death."
"But-"
"I'm not in pain anymore." She informed him.
"You're not?!" He was shocked but happy to hear that.
"No. I'm no longer suffering." Annabelle said. "For the first time I feel good."
"That's good." He kissed her forehead.
"Yeah. I just want to say goodbye."
"I know." He said sadly.
"I love you. Please live for me."
He smiled. "I will."
"Thank you."
"It's not a problem. I have to make sure I help the other children and adults who have cancer like you."
"Exactly. I'll say hi to mom, okay?" Her voice was watery.
"Great. Tell her that I love her and that I can't wait to see her again."
Anna smiled. "I will."
"Good. One more hug." He held out his arms.
"Of course." She giggled.
They hugged once more before she disappeared.
(With Harry and Annabelle)
"Ready?" Harry asked the teen.
"I am now." She said confidently.
"Great." He opened a blue portal. "In we go."
"O-okay."
"Shh. Don't worry." He said. "I'm just taking you to the waiting room. There is a surprise waiting for you." Harry smiled.
"Really?" Anna was shocked.
"Yes."
"Okay."
They walked through the portal. Annabelle cried when she saw her mom. She ran over to her and hugged her tightly. The hug was returned with a smile.
"I've missed you." Anna said.
"I have missed you also honey."
"Dad says hi. He wanted you to know that he loves you and can't wait to see you again."
"I've been waiting for you both."
Anna smiled before looking nervous. "Mom… I'm going to… well… you see…"
"I know dear. I'm doing the same. I'm waiting for your dad though." She informed her daughter.
"You can do that?" She thought her mom wasn't picked to be reborn.
"Yes." Harry was the one to answer.
"Can I?"
"Of course." Harry said.
"I want to do that."
"Alright."
"Thank you."
Harry smiled. "You're welcome. Goodbye for now."
"Bye."
(With the Guardians)
"Aster has info on Harry Reaper." North said.
"You do?" Jack asked as he and Sandy exchanged looks of hope.
"Yes. Jack? Sandy?"
"Yeah?" Jack asked as a question mark appeared above Sandy's head.
"I'm sorry about the other day." He apologized. "You both were right not to trust the seasonal spirits. They lied."
"What?" They looked at the guardian of Hope in shock.
Aster explained. "They lied to us. I found Reaper yesterday. He was with the spirit of a young teen."
"He killed a teen?!" Tooth gasped out.
"No. I thought the same thing until the sheila yelled at me for accusing him and trying to take her away from him."
"She yelled at you?" Tooth and North were shocked while the other two were amused.
"Yeah. She told me she died of cancer."
"Oh." That stopped their questions.
"Poor girl." Tooth said.
"She looked like she was at peace." Aster told them.
"She's dead." Jack said bluntly. "She's no longer in pain."
"True." North said as they looked at the winter spirit in concern.
"Soon one of his mini reapers came." Said after a couple minutes.
"Mini reapers?" North asked.
"Mini versions of himself that help him guide spirits." Aster explained.
"Oh."
"Ingenious." Jack said.
"Why?" Tooth asked.
"One of the souls was refusing to go where it was supposed to go."
"Why?"
Aster's eye twitched in irritation. "I'm getting there. Reaper asked if I wanted to go with him."
"Did you say yes?" North asked.
"I did. Black wings sprouted from his back and we took off. I was surprised when we went through the ceiling."
"He had wings?" North asked. "They were black?"
"You went through the ceiling?" Tooth asked at the same time.
"Yes, Yes, and yes."
"Guys?" Jack called. "We should let him talk without interrupting him."
North and Tooth looked guilty. "You're right." North said.
"Sorry." Tooth said.
"It's fine. Thank you Jack."
"You're welcome."
"He took me to a prison. A man on death row had died but refused to leave. He didn't want to go to hell."
They all looked at him in shock. Aster saw it but continued. "Reaper informed the spirit that he couldn't. The man was smug but Reaper ignored him. He summoned Death."
"He summoned Death!?" They all, well almost all, yelled. Sandy had an exclamation mark over his head.
"He did. He took the man's soul. Reaper teased him and Death was familiar with him. We were wrong to listen to the spirits."
"Are you serious?" North asked.
"Yes."
"He can't be evil then." North said.
"He isn't." Jack and Aster said together.
"We have to apologize." Tooth said.
"We do." North agreed. "We need to invite him here."
"Umm…" Jack looked conflicted.
"What?" North looked confused.
"You aren't going to have the yetis get him, are you?"
"Yes, why?" He looked confused as to why Jack was asking.
"I don't think it's a good idea."
"Why?" North eyebrows furrowed further together.
"He might fight."
"Why?"
"It's kidnapping."
"But-" North tried to argue.
"No!" Jack said sternly.
"Fine." He pouted.
"I'll go talk to him."
"Alright."
"I'll be back soon." He flew off.
(With Harry)
After he left the portal he went to see his son. He spent some time with him. Soon it was time to leave.
"Bye Bye Daddy."
"Bye baby boy. I love you."
"I love you too."
"I'll see you soon, okay?"
"Okay."
He hugged his son one more time. He then left the bedroom. He walked over to Luna. He hugged her.
"See you later."
"See you."
He had been off to guide more souls. He had been in Korea when Jack found him
"Wow you are far from Britain." A voice behind him said.
"So are you Jack."
"I am. I was looking for you." He said.
Harry raised an eyebrow. "Really? Why?"
"Bunny told us what happened yesterday. They want to talk to you."
"Took them long enough. When?"
Jack sighed. "Now."
"I see." Harry said in irritation.
"Hey, be thankful. North wanted to have the yetis come get you which would technically be considered kidnapping." Jack told him cheerfully.
Harry gave him a blank look. "Why am I not surprised?"
"Because it sounds like something they would do."
"So true." Harry sighed. "Well let's go."
"I'll lead the way."
"Alright."
