The beginning is based off when Eren accidently triggers his inner- Titan by a spoon in season 1 ep 19.

It's crazy. It's crazy how fast things can change. People that were once your everything one day, become merely distant memories the next. Have you ever thought that if one thing hadn't happened, a whole set of other things wouldn't have either? Time is like dominoes, a single event kicked off an unstoppable series of changes that gained momentum and spun out of control, and nothing was ever the same again. Some may take advantage of this, and doubt that a mere second can change your entire life. Someone who didn't doubt this however, goes by the name of

Eren Jaeger.

The last moment of happiness and peace he recalled, was sitting with his mom, adopted sister Mikasa, and father at the dinner table. Fresh cut wood discarded across the floorboards infront of the fireplace, smell of hot food. Ah, the good old days. At the time, if somebody were to ask him where he saw himself on his 16th birthday, he probably wouldn't have replied fist deep in a Titan's epidermis.

Eren could feel sweat drip down his forehead as he glanced back and forth from the armed soldiers glaring at him, with wide eyes. They looked furious, like they intended on ripping out his insides and feeding it to a dog.

"S-Sir p-please! I didn't mean it!" he was shaking too much to speak properly.

"What got into you?!" one of them yelled at him.

Gunther Shchlutz stepped forward, raising his machete, "Leave it! Explanations can come later! First things first, you need to persuade us that you're not hostile like your life depends on it!" the look on his face was so menacing it only made Eren gasp louder. "What are you waiting for? Prove it or we kill you! The choice is yours kid!"

The 16 year old could feel his body shutting down, the pressure too much for him to handle. He stood there speachless and whincing at every move they made. He closed his eyes hoping the earth would open up and swallow him whole, but suddenly a small whoosh of wind flew past his face. He opened one eye and saw the figure standing infront of him, back facing him. "Pull yourself together, soldiers!" he yelled. "B-But Captain-" Petra started but got cut off. "That's an order." his voice sounded dark, with a hint of broken, but put together. It- relaxed Eren... in a odd sort of way. "I know you're all conflicted, and that's understandable giving the situation."

"I-I'm sorry C-Captain Levi... I-I-I don't know what happened-" Eren stuttered.

"Captain, I need you to step away! You're too close!"

"Right now I believe you're the ones who need to step away. Do it."

Eren couldn't take the pressure anymore. He looked down at his hands and began pulling away from the Titan, ripping the skin in the process.

"Are you ignoring me? Don't try anything funny or I'll lob your head off kid!" yelled Eld.

Eren groaned in pain and finally managed to snap his hands free, only to find himself tumble down the Titan form and land of his stomach next to the Captain, all the wind knocked out of him. He layed there panting and trying to catch his breath back. In the process, he heard footsteps approach him. He slowly looked up and saw the Captain glaring down on him. Eren gulped expecting the worse.

"So you feeling okay or what?" he asked.

Eren looked back down at the ground and pushed himself up onto his knees. "I-I dont know..."

To suprise, Levi held a hand out for him. The boy took is gratefully and dusted himself off. "Thanks."

"Don't take it personally." he said. But Eren looked away to hide his blushing. At the time, he assumed it was from embarrassment.

"Alright. Everybody move out." yelled Levi.

"But Captain-" said Gunther.

"This is an issue we'll return to later. For now, hit the showers."

The man gave Eren an annoyed expression before dramatically putting his sword back into its pocket and walking off, followed by the others.

"I... didn't realise how little they trusted me."

Levi turned his head to see a sulking Eren.

"Whatever this looked like today, Eren, I can assure you every single one of them was conflicted. Uncertainty and suspicious nature is the top of my criteria."

"I can't help not being able to control my powers. What do I do to earn their trust? And yours?"

The captain chuckled to himself. "Oh kid, you have a lot to learn." he patted the younger ones shoulder firmly. Eren was about to say something when he heard a voice calling his name. He looked to the direction it came from and immediately recognised the blonde, blue eyed boy running towards him.

"Eren!" Armin reached the pair finally and doubled over to catch his breath. "Are... you... okay?"

Eren smiled at his friend. Out of everyone, Armin had always been the one there for Eren, always had his back no matter what. Even when he didn't require help. "Everything's fine. Just a little mishap, is all."

"A little?! Have you seen the size of that thing!" Armin gestured to the discarded Titan form.

"Aren't you supposed to be in the food room with Mikasa and the others?"

"I am but I came here as soon as I heard what happened."

"Armin, you really should stop worrying so much."

"I know, I know..." he looked down and grabbed Eren's hand. "Come on, you must be hungry after being out in the field all day."

"A little-"

"Eren is staying behind for extra training." said Levi, wiping down his bloody sword. Armin jumped out of his skin, not realising Levi was there the whole time.

"I am?"

"On the field I noticed you had sloppy handwork which needed improving."

"Oh- I didn't know."

"You do now."

Eren looked back at Armin with an unsure expression. "Well... I'll leave you two to it. See you later babe." Armin stood up and kissed him on the cheek then made his way back through the field to the cabins. Eren blushed nervously watching him leave. "Babe?" mocked the Captain.

Eren sighed and turned to him. "Let's just get this over with."

Levi stopped cleaning his knife and raised an eyebrow at him. "What's with the attitude, brat? Got somewhere better to be?"

"No... sorry."

"That's what I thought."

At the training ground which wasn't far from the cabins, Eren practiced his sword work whilst Levi watched. He was slightly skeptical as to why Levi had only ordered Eren to be there, considering (not to blow his own trumpet) he was more skilled than most of the others. He had recognised much worse flaws in his peers work. So why was he the only one here? "How much longer?" Eren moaned, hot and worn out. "Until you decide to get it right." said Levi flatly. "I don't get it! What am I doing wrong?" he was getting annoyed now. Levi stood up from the wall he was sitting on and Eren's face immediately dropped. "I'm sorry I was just-" but before he could finish his sentence, Levi had already grabbed Eren's waist tightly and turned him a different angle roughly. Eren blushed as he'd never been this close to him before. Meanwhile, Levi stayed professional and kept facing forward. "W-What are you doing?"

Eren gulped. "Everytime you throw, you lose your posture. Try again." was all he said.

Eren nodded and took a deep breath before raising his knife. Levi tightened his grip on Eren as he threw the knife, which hit perfectly in the centre of the red arrow marked on the tree. Eren couldn't believe it at first. "I-It worked! I did it!" he smiled and jumped up and down. Levi smirked and let go of him.

"About time. You can go now."

The brunette smiled at him. "Thanks Levi- uh Captain Levi."

"Get some rest." was all he said before he disappeared into the darkness.

Eren suddenly felt a stinging sensation coming from down- oh no. He looked down and saw a small bulge in his pants.
